West Han now 5th in the league no chance Moyes going to leave them haha.

He was never an option. Only time he would come to Celtic if he could not find a job down south and had been away from the game a while.

ED007 have u heard of this journalist Nicolo Schira suggests that the under23 Man City coach is a celtic target for next manager?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - That's been kicking about for a while, Richy but I've no idea if there's anything in it, we always seem to be tied in with City when it comes to rumours.
Have you ever thought that The City Football Group could be lining up a takeover? 😁
Would you(s) be happy with that? Remember Mark Lawwell's still there and he would LOVE a job at Celtic, Ronny's over in the US......
I'm away to my nest while you think about that 😂

08 Mar 2021 22:28:31
Yeah i've heard we were linked with the guy but first heard it from an Italian journalist so was just wondering if he has credibility as a journalist takeover could be interesting Aberdeen for JK could be interesting too.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've never heard of Nicolo Schira but those last 3 letters of his name must get him some kudos 😂😂😂😂 It's like a drunk Billy Connolly singing The Merry Ploughboy.}

08 Mar 2021 22:56:32
I think you got names mixed up. Are you sure it's not Nicola Sturgeon you are on about lads.

I take that back the Journalist is Spanish not Italian.

Ed wouldn't it affect us playing in Europe if the city group took over?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Only if we qualify, Kev lol and City will be away to the Super League soonish.}

09 Mar 2021 11:17:23
I hope whoever is going to a point our new guy do it soon. If we leave it until the summer with our track record if dithering, the CL qualifiers will be another shambles and we will be on the back foot for the league. A massive rebuilding job is required and the sooner it starts the quicker we will return to a team that can put that mob on their arse, and hopefully be able to play 8n Europe without having to watch it from behind the couch.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:13:01
Ed anything come up about a potential signing of Thomas Robert. I see the club have come out and said he was training with us or was just because lower leagues are finished.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He has been on trial with us but I have no idea how it went or if we will pursue him mate.}

Oldkilly,

He didn’t leave they sacked him.

08 Mar 2021 21:51:50
Thats half the leagues managers left or sacked this season that must be a first?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 22:01:09
Could Aberdeen or JK be up for that couldve been what JK referred to when he talked about his own ambitions been put to the side.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That would be an ideal job for Jimmy Delaney' grandson, Richy.}

08 Mar 2021 22:20:22
Every team in SPFL outside old firm has lost key players outwith managers control this season and not replaced with like for like quality.

I personally think McInnes is a decent manager but Aberdeen have really missed likes of mckenna and Wright and this has been evident in results. I don't know what their board was expecting.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 22:36:51
Boruc I wasn’t aware he had been sacked only saw the headline McInnes leaves Aberdeen.

A can see the season getting cut now. The police won't be wanting anymore of these gatherings. And you can you can bet your life that they will plan more so they might just say out of public safety no more games can go ahead.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Mar 2021 20:48:09
Would that be the same police who allowed them to gather at Ibrox and George Square and then failed to disperse them or issue them with fines for breaking C.V. laws?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:03:42
I saw a police man going with two sevco supporters posing outside ibrox yesterday for pictures. Outter disgrace. Best thing here in Ireland is the Irish new channels don't mention them winning the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:05:22
Most of Police Scotland were celebrating with them.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:11:29
What could the the police do tho, if they went heavy handed it would of been worse. It shouldn't have happend.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Have officers on the ground and in vehicles with loudhailers telling the crowds to disperse, giving people fixed penalties for breaking lockdown restrictions and isn't drinking alcohol in the street in Scotland illegal? If they don't disperse send in the riot squad to disperse them, use their batons, police horses & dogs, use their CS spray to keep the law.
How about them doing the job they're paid for? They're quick enough to stop supporter's buses to tax their carry out.}

08 Mar 2021 21:32:01
How would that help the safety of theirs officers or the public tho?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's their job to protect the public and they get paid to make the tough &unpopular decisions and do their job or do you not think law breakers should face any consequences? They were happy enough to challenge the Celtic fans that turned up at Celtic Park.
If you don't have the minerals to face a marauding horde then you shouldn't be a front line police officer and should probably join the army where you can just shoot, torture and bomb innocent people willy nilly with no consequence.
As I said, they're tough enough to pull over supporters buses and tax their drink, kick in young lad's front doors at 6 am because they let a pyro off at a game etc etc.}

08 Mar 2021 21:37:17
Lennon it was a huge failing by Police Scotland. They should of been issuing fines to anyone, each police officer and their corroborating officer witnessed breaking c. v laws. If they never complied, arrest each person who failed to comply.

The failings of Police Scotland has now set a culture where people gathering in mass crowds either protesting or rioting now know as long as there is 1000s the police won't do anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:51:25
There was a video I got sent a link to (gone now) of a polis wearing a blue mask doing the bouncy with them. They never tried to disperse the crowd cos they were part of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's sounds better than the one I got sent of some fat slob pulling the head off it 🤢🤮 Another one showed a pi$$ed up "fellow bear" dodging bullets Matrix style and one of them dipped his pocket for his phone.
But will anything beat the guy in Bellshill that set his garden on fire while letting of fireworks 😂😂 Well there might be one on the horizon when the idiot over the back from me turns up at work for his job on the side tomorrow. #You'reGettingSackedInTheMorning #YourGaffersSonIsMyGodson

Am I going too far with rubber bullets and water cannons?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note -

08 Mar 2021 22:15:53
Whoever at the top, made the decision to give their fans a Police escort from Ibrox to George Square, it sent out the wrong signal.
The Police should’ve let it be known that George Square was a no go area.
The Police should’ve cordoned off George Square with threats of fixed penalties.
Use loudhailers to get the point across that CCTV is recording their every move.
They would eventually disperse to their house parties.
And the fact the Police stood back and allowed alcohol was asking for trouble.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's the easiest way to start dealing with crowds like that no matter what they're doing, if you're drunk or drinking in public you get lifted.}

08 Mar 2021 23:07:54
Buzz if Police had that, fans would of started dispering due to visual determent of Police and situation would of been quickly controlled. There would of been a lot more arrests, but its nothing that Police Scotland could of controlled. If things got too much, British transport police would of been called in and also dsg team from MOD Police. Basically MOD Police riot squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2021 00:23:48
We all seen on social media that their fans mentioned they would be celebrating in George square when the title was won.
I took that with a pinch of salt due to the lockdown rules and because the square is a relatively small space.
I never imagined the Police would’ve allowed it and to bring your own bottle, on top.
It would’ve been easy for the Police to announce in advance that the square would be shut off due to lockdown rules.
It’s all about deterrent.
In advance the Police should’ve announced the threat of fixed penalties and that Big Brother is watching their every move.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Mar 2021 01:42:50
They knew weeks ago that this was happening as it was allover their cesspit forums. No policing was used until they arrested the hangers on when their DI sent them in at 9pm to disperse the crowd.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Mar 2021 03:16:29
Buzz its an absolute joke. SNP were more than happy to crucify our club to cover their tracks regarding Dubai. A trip the scottish government approved, but when that mob hang out cell windows of iboke shaking hands with fans its OK.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 23:18:55
Totally agree with your comments Ed on how the police didn’t handle that performance over the weekend.

I wonder if they will be looking at CCTV and making comments like they made in November about the Celtic fans. ‘If you get identified you will get arrested’?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 19:12:47
Hope we not only hear about who is next manager, but also more pre contract signings.

For next season we need experience not projects to get us back on track. Some good players out there who's contracts are expiring. Also in Scandinavian nations, there are some quality players that would make a real difference

Only 4 players I would keep are Turnbull, McGregor, Welsh and Taylor. If we can get Kenny back next season, added bonus.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - We still need to sign projects imo, Phil but that's what they should be, young players giving a clear plan of their journey to be a first team player in 2/3 seasons, maybe 1 season for some or maybe some will shine like Frimpong and get a chance right away. The projects should be part of the forward thinking plan not the here and now.
I'd actually say players like Turnbull, Welsh, Soro and Hazard are still projects, they still have a lot to learn and it's all about levels, Edouard could be seen as a project at a so called "bigger" club.}

08 Mar 2021 20:11:32
Ed007 I agree that project players are important for future and some do like you say shine straight away. Just feel we could do with a few experienced players to help rebuild process.

I reckon eddy will either end up at Leicester City or back in France.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I agree about that, we will need some experience brought in definitely. Arsenal could also be a possible destination for Edouard, he turned down a move to West Ham last summer - well his agent did - but that might change depending on where they finish in the league but Leicester, who also spoke to his agent, will be involved plus any interest from the continent.
Celtic will also still be looking for a "significant fee" so you can forget the talk of £15 million being enough.}

08 Mar 2021 21:09:01
I can't see Edouard breaking into the English Premier league straight away. He will need a full season before he is a hit down there. A lot of players leave Celtic for bigger things down south and fail. Christie will fall into that category. His father thinks he is Ronaldo or Messi .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't say he'd need a full season if he moves early enough in the window but clubs look at VVD and Tierney and think is it worth gambling £20ish million just now knowing we'll still recoup that in the Pub League if it doesn't work or wait until they've played for a Southampton and pay £50, 60 or 70 million.
If McBurnie is worth £20 million Edouard's worth at least that all day every day.}

08 Mar 2021 21:11:21
Young projects have always been the lifeblood of all the top, big clubs; but recently our youngsters have been filing through the exit door in worrying numbers. Possibly because of a lack of structured, chronological development and progress within the current set-up?
Or maybe agents filling their heads with fairy tales? I don't know.
Hopefully the next manager and DOF, will restructure the whole place.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think it's a bit of both, OAB.}

08 Mar 2021 21:06:13
Ed007 your right about £15m talk. Personally I reckon its just tabloid lies.

Although this season his form has dipped compared to last season, he has still scored 20 this season in all competitions plus scored a good few for France u21. Added to that past few seasons he has proved he can score against good teams in Europe, that's at least £25m.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Spot on, Celtic wanted £30 million last summer and there were takers, clubs at Pub League level or the big clubs on the continent look at things longer term and players having a bad few months doesn't make them bad players.}

08 Mar 2021 21:32:36
It's a hard balance to have the right mixture of youth and experience. If you look back to the state the team was in when MON left. We had a massive wage bill with many well past their best. I do love to see a youthfull attacking Celtic side but the spine should have the experience we need. McGregor Forrest and I would keep brown around but in reduced capacity for the transition. I also feel Soro an Turnbull should be playing together the rest of the season to continually build their chemistry going forward. What experienced players would yous like to see philtim and ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 21:37:22
Ed, obviously we know the 3 main names they have mentioned for dof, but have you actually heard if we have started an interview process with anyone? The season has gone and the longer we stand still waiting the harder it will be next year . We supposedly have signed shaw from Wednesday and close to the lad from Wigan. Who is getting these players signed up, is it lawell?
Risky again as when the new coach, dof come in, they may not fancy them, which means we could be stuck with more players on our wage bill that seems to be wasted wages . Whoever the new ceo, old ceo decide on, surely it needs to be sorted out as soon as possible.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It depends what you count as an interview, Quinny but I'd say that we must have. All I know for 100% certain is that DD has spoke to Roy Keane 💚peace be upon him💚 a few times about Celtic so is that an interview? He'll have spoken to a lot of people he trusts for advice and what's needed, I would also be confident in saying that Rodgers has spoke to DD as well.}

Next Manager linked with Celtic, Tony Mowbray DOF and Paul Lambart as manager. Lambart sacked by Ipswich and Mowbray in trouble at Blackburn. No fee required as both will be free agent's. 🤣🤣🤣
THE DREAM TEAM TO TAKE US FORWARD.
OR
Roy Keane DOF
GUS Poyet Manager
Eric Cantona as Club spokesman

Hi Ed reading through the post from today. And I was one on about tactics yesterday but tactics you are right we should have won that game comfortable yesterday. And for Griffiths he let us done terribly this season not been fit for preseason and trying to get match fit all season. The players have to stand up and take responsibility for this season and getting Lennon sacked aswel. I think kimela could do with a loan.

Just watched a great documentary on Amazon Prime called ‘All or Nothing’ it is based on a behind the scenes look with Pep Guardiola during 2017-18 season at Man City, it is a brilliant football documentary.
It really shows his passion and that he is a born winner and a great manager.
If you like football, you will really enjoy it.

08 Mar 2021 14:32:51
In light of the C.V. and the reaction of that lot across the city after securing the league title
I believe the football authorities should cancel the remaining Celtic v sevco games and either declare them null and void or 0-0 draws.
We have already seen what happened the last few days and we really don't need OUR supporters getting involved which I believe would happen.
Any thoughts?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Mar 2021 15:10:45
The Scottish Football Authorities can’t be trusted to do anything properly.
We are still waiting on them implementing their own rules that Rangers broke from 1999,for a full decade.
But that would mean they would be forced to strip 5 titles and 15 or 16 honours altogether. So that’s been well swept under the carpet.
As of yet the SPFL or the SFA have not made any statements about the behaviour of the Sevco manager, staff or players, for breaking protocols set by the Scot. Gov to allow football to be played in this country.
The SFA have still to make a statement about the second party from the Sevco 5-a-side team last month.
They will continue to do, what they’re being allowed to do. Fact.

Welshy it's their responsibility not celtic or our fans for this . if the don't announce plans during the week to block them or allow them to invade Celtic park . we should stand back let them . and then vocally and graphically show the world the true nature of Scotland .

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 19:07:54
Deep river bhoy, I’m more concerned that the moronic element in our support turn up. If the zombie squad show up and make an arse of themselves again so be it, as long as our fans don’t give them any ammunition to throw back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So just stand back and let them run amok, vandalising the area and the statues on The Celtic Way etc? It's our home ground and they have no business being there so if the police aren't going to do their job anyone that turns up to protect the Club's property will 100% be in the right.
Why are you worrying about giving them or anyone else ammunition? If you don't listen to them you won't hear what they're saying.}

08 Mar 2021 19:08:15
Tiny Tim

Good shout.

The game against them isn’t worth the hassle or the potential for confrontation.

Null and void or award it to Celtic for their behaviour.

Apart from breaching current protocols with the apparent approval of the club they were knocking six shades of shining bright out of each other in Glasgow last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Why call off a game because one set of fans can't behave themselves or act like normal adult human beings? If the police and government done their job there wouldn't be any problems.}

08 Mar 2021 20:03:20
Bang on ed not a chance can we stand by and let the mutants run amok while we sit at hime saying oh look at what they’ve done now. And while I’m at it this moronic element what’s that all about the same moronic element who want to stand up for the club support the club. The same moronic element that when it suits certain people’s agendas get applauded for certain actions and vilified for others. Off the soapbox bhoys if the authorities do their job there be nothing to see but if they don’t I suppose it’ll be that moronic element of ours again in the papers eh.

08 Mar 2021 19:44:18
Ed it’s actually worrying they seem to be a law unto themselves. The Celtic shop in Argyle Street was vandalised last night and the club has rightly asked that our property be protected. There is no evidence the authorities either have the will or the ability to do that particularly when you see photographs of their fans cuddling police and wantonly flouting restrictions with no repercussions.

If Police Scotland cannot protect the Celtic fans that will undoubtedly be there and our property allegedly because they have not been prioritised for vax the Government should acknowledge that and award the game to Celtic.

The scenes last night were worthy of the PSNI in East Belfast two weeks ago facilitating a loyalist show of strength. The game against them is potentially a recipe for disaster even during lockdown which is to the shame of the powers that be. I don’t want to see Celtic fans hurt or the stadium or statues damaged by their moronic hordes.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The Scottish police were a disgrace and showed themselves up yet again to be nothing but bigoted $hitebahs again. The SNP have scored a massive own goal with their pandering once again to The Klan.}

08 Mar 2021 20:18:20
Exactly Ed007, I'm still astonished that Glasgow's finest gave them an escort from Greyskull to George Square.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not surprise at all. Anyone that's been involved with supporteer clubs or in bands etc know exactly how Police Scotland operate and have done for years.}

08 Mar 2021 21:08:40
Ed I’m a nationalist but the government has indeed scored an own goal. I said the same thing weeks back. There is no logic to that as SNP votes are few and far between among the Govan hordes. John Swinney has tonight condemned the new clubs silence and lack of leadership. He stated that the scenes were an absolute disgrace and undermined progress against the C.V. Fans have also been condemned in Corby and the Shankhill Road, Belfast.

Police Scotland behaved as I said like the PSNI did a few weeks back in East Belfast. It looked to me like they were a law unto themselves whether to make a point about not being prioritised for the jag who knows or showing themselves for bigots or both. As I said it’s seriously worrying. Not the h**s behaviour. Police Scotland’s behaviour. I’d be genuinely concerned for our fans that are there for the game against them at Celtic Park.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm 100% confident that TRIFK fans will have respect for any of our moronic element who turn up to protect our statues 😁 Surely we all agree that statues need protected!
Seriously though this has been a massive own-goal by Sturgeon's SNP (and Police Scotland) and could be even worse for them with an election coming up. I have spoken to one MSP via e-mail today and they have assured me that there is a lot of them not happy with the government's response.

09 Mar 2021 00:53:09
Fck that I'd rather we played them and pumped them, no one else looks like beating them this season so let's put a marker down and show them they aren't that good of a team. At least salvage some pride and take their invincible opportunity away.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2021 11:18:09
Ed et al
I do get the point but in fairness, we are still in a C.V. and people are dying, loved ones lost etc.
The NHS has done an admiral job and we are looking at easing of restrictions.
Last thing we need is a few thousand (and I have no doubt it would be) idiots (cant call them supporters, real supporters will not gather) getting together, rioting etc. etc.
No doubt some of them will have the C.V. and it won't take long before it spreads through families friends and associates
Merr bluddy lockdowns!
For a game of football which really only has pride at stake.
Or is a media contract, pride, and a few votes more important than people's lives.
(lets also look at Clubs reputation, possible damaged done to the upcoming International Tournament (*which is already under review thanks to C.V. and supporters attendance)
It's not necessary to play the games so why risk it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So you'd rather our reputation was as a bunch of wet wipes that failed to turn up to make sure our stadium and surrounding area doesn't end up like George Square did at the weekend because we can't trust the police do their job properly?
As I've said I couldn't care less what outsiders say about us but you can't go about cancelling games in case there's going to problems for the authorities to deal with.}

09 Mar 2021 11:21:47
Anyway, I have given my opinion.
I have also contacted First Minister, SFA, Celtic, sevco (aka the rangers) and SPFL expressing my concern.
I want to get back to the pub, go out to eat, attend football and watch Celtic live.
I don't want all that delayed because of a bunch of mindless morons.

08 Mar 2021 13:44:59
I have to say I'm feeling much better about things today than I was yesterday. I put myself through the ringer and read all their gloating Tweets etc. and just got it out my system. I said it before, 10IAR was becoming a noose round the club's neck - much like the unbeaten run towards the end - and I'm now looking forward to the future and tbh I'm quite optimistic. We have the spine of a team which can easily challenge them next season with the right coaching and mentality. For instance, yesterday's starting XI would have won by about 5 goals if they had been confident. We need a few real quality additions but BR showed how much improvement can come just from instilling the right mentality so hopefully the new manager can do that.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We've got a spineless team. 10 in a row was easy if we hadn't gave Lennon the gig and let him sign 💩 players!

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 13:59:59
Malky, the players you are calling spineless are the same players who delivered us success upon success over the last decade.

Yes they were crap this season, which raises the question, why the massive slump?

I am sure with the right manager and coaching we will bounce back as we have a lot of quality players in our squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 15:02:13
We've got players who;-

* spat the dummy and downed tools when they didn't get a move away from our club in the summer
* players who were impacted by C.V.
* players whose form hasn't been anywhere near good enough
* players who still aren't fit and we're in March
* players who think they're superstars when their clearly not that good
* players whose combined wage bill is more than 50M per year

Above all, we've got a group of players who let everyone connected with Celtic Football Club down, BADLY.

This group of players are ALL culpable and through a combination of factors inc those above, capitulated and sh@t it, handing the league to a Manager with 3 years experience and a team, who on paper, are nowhere near as good as they are.

The rebuild will all depend on the calibre of the DOF and Manager that we appoint and also the budget that he will be given. Hail Hail.

Well summed-up Pedro; there were indeed external factors in a hellish season and no supporters was definitely a factor. However, there was a severe lack of professionalism, commitment, attitude, form and fitness for far too long and only a small few of the current squad can have a clear conscience.

Lennonatwork, not really the same players. No Gordon/ Forster, no KT, no Lustig, no Boyata, no Moussa, no SS etc. All replaced by inferior players. Added to that an inferior manager and a captain who played 12 months too long there's your answer. Its not the same team/ players that won all before fhem.

Apart from the GKs none of those players were there last season when we won a treble. Apart from the new players signed this season, eveyone of our players has proved they are winners because they have won trophies at Celtic.

I don't buy into what malky was saying, that the players are spineless or that winning 9 league titles on the trot and 4 trebles on the bounce is easy.

As I stated the teams played well below its normal standards this season and I am sure it will come out at some point, what happened behind the scenes this season.

Personally, I don't think it was a single factor that saw our decline this season but likely an amalgamation of factors but I am just guessing, like everyone else (although I admit that I am guessing) .

I work with a Chelsea guy and he's been downplaying their chances for top 4 all season because they're poor at the back and some of the players ain't yo to it. In comes Tuchel and they look a totally different team and don't look like conceding. Our group of players don't become bad overnight. A new manager will hopefully get a better tune out the players which Lennon miserably failed to do so this season.

Bruce

What’s done can’t be undone but it’s definitely time for DD to show he’s up for the challenge which still remains to be seen. If he has the vision Fergus McCann had and is willing to speculate to accumulate I’m sure he’ll be backed by the fans.

My concern though is a downturn with fans not renewing season tickets in protest if he takes the cheap option and these are uncertain economic times. I thought being a Celtic supporter meant backing the team in good times and in bad and being faithful through and through. Our reputation in that respect has been dented for me to a degree this season through the actions of a few. Some of the comments aimed at Neil Lennon and abuse of players causes me more person sadness than losing the 10.

Anyway having had enough of living the Vida Lockdown and having less years remaining to watch Celtic than I’ve watched them I’ll just be delighted to get back to my seat and see my team again.

I’m feeling the pain as much as anybody but think we just all need to calm our jets. Sometimes I think I saw the best among the Celtic support when we were winning nothing.

Win, lose or draw God willing a pie, Bovril pint and a programme awaiteth me in the new season ahead when a new chapter opens in the fairytale history of the world famous Glasgow Celtic. I haven’t yet been able to take my wee grandson due to the circumstances this year but look forward to his first visit to the Holy Ground together with my son as three generations next season.

Born of famine and oppression I don’t know why any Celtic supporter is surprised at the media reaction north and south of the border-or the scenes yesterday-or the Stevie G hero worship. I personally couldn’t give a flying proverbial nor am I remotely interested in what they do or say.

08 Mar 2021 12:45:08
Can't agree UI; we have failed from a position of far superior strength of squad, financial muscle, state of the art facilities, stadium, success and dominance, even after selling £20m+ players;
While their spending was a fraction of ours, but they assembled a team, whereas, we took our eye off the ball from boardroom to boot-room; not only domestically, but sadly, also in Europe.
The support saw warning signs within our own team last season, when the one-to-one games were tilting their way, but we did nothing.

Agree3 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 13:14:44
onceabhoy. they have outspent us in some seasons so how can you say there spending was a fraction of ours. they have spent over 90 mill in Scottish football if any one is spending that for them not to be challenging would be a joke.

listen this summer we spent a good amount of money and kept our best players the bottom line is a lot of players did not turn up its am simple as that wile all there players were so desperate to stop 10 and all fought for it to happen. we spent 5 million on a striker and 5 million on a goalie 3.5 mill on turnbull that's nearly 15 mill on 3 players. 7 million on a defender last season spent 9 million on a striker season before our board have spent might be from player sales and profits but it has been spent. for the league were in we do have a spending limit and what we spent we should have did a lot better than what we did this season. players have to take a good look at them self. were the blames lays with the board this season is for allowing it to go on this season instead of replacing Lennon at the very start of January and letting want away players leave and bringing in some fresh faces and going for it they seemed to just let the season peter out and the blame lays with them there. it is nothing to do with our board how strong rangers become if there willing to spend money to challenge and win titles. nobody has allowed rangers to become strong and challenge if you spend money you will challenge and that is what they have done.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 14:07:54
UI have to disagree with you also here. We have spent badly that is why we are here. Our wage bill dwarfs theirs, poor recruitment over the past 2 seasons is to blame for this.

We have gone from a position of financial dominance to allowing them back in due to bad management from the top down.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 14:56:48
ok so the day the transfer window closed in the summer what complaints did you have about the players we had signed and about keeping all our best players. did you have any rejection to visilas barkas the 5 million signing Greek number 1 goalkeeper. did you have any rejection to albain ajeti the 5 million signing who riped it up in the swiss league before his move to west ham. did you have any rejection to the Shane Duffy signing who we all wanted tough no nonsense central defender who held his own down england who is one of our own 2 million loan fee big wage did you have any rejection to resigning elyounoussi who looked a real talent the season before or the 3.5 million signing of david turnbull. did this look like a good window and quality on top of what wee had the full team from the season before being kept together players like Edouard ajar McGregor not being sold. did the board push for 10 by not selling them and spending what we spent of course they did. did those players old and new turn up in this massive season NO they did not.

what part did our board play in the team rangers have on the field just now what part did our board play in rangers signing there players and building a team that's win the title. what part did our board play in rangers getting in the Europa league and making it by the group stage and pulling in money for them to improve. no other team allows you to become strong they have became a good team by spending. please explain to me what the board could have done so that rangers did not have the team they have on the field to not be there.

we have dominated Scottish football for the last 20 after a dreadful period in the 90s was it rangers it allowed us to do that no they went bust trying to stop it from happening. we got strong again because of what we did as a club. same reason there are a strong side again they have been spending to be a side to challenge again nothing to do with our club allowing them to be strong.

What about Kennedy's selection, tactics and substitutions yesterday? Still can't figure out why in a game we had to win to take it to the next game we had 3 strikers on the bench with griffiths coming on with 6/ 7 minutes to go? If yae didn't know better you'd think Kennedy was lennon in disguise yesterday😡😡.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - We had 68% possession, 27 shot attempts on goal with 12 of them on target so what was wrong with the tactics? Edouard should have had the game won for us before halftime, how many chances did Moi fluff?
If the players had taken their chances yesterday nobody would be mentioning tactics, that result was purely down to players not doing their job well enough - again.}

08 Mar 2021 11:32:38
For me he should have played Griff. He brought him on too late. However, the chances created should have won six games. After the first ten minutes I had the feeling we could play for a week and never score. That's not tactics, that's players not doing their job.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - 👍

08 Mar 2021 11:48:02
His tactics were the exacts same ones that have been failing to work all season. Every game is the same. Loads of possession and nae goals. Our line up was wrong, our shape was wrong, the subs were a joke and in the second half players looked like they didn't know where they were meant to be playing.

Garry the stats are there
. this one is on the players like most failings this season, eddy moi and turnbull missed great chances. and Christie his usual wasteful In possession.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 12:00:45
Eddy has been one of the major disappointments of the season among many other factors, but he and Christie seem un-droppable recently even when rank-rotten and rarely even 'subbed'.
Our substitutions all season have been too late, or the wrong players and in many games we just lose shape, pattern and even discipline.
Everything about this season has been 'worst case scenario' because of bad decisions and serious misjudgement over the past two years.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the amount of times Celtic were getting into Utd’s box, it would’ve helped if we had a penalty box player like Ajeti or Griffiths to convert the chances into goals.

08 Mar 2021 12:20:49
After that game yesterday it made me wonder who has been picking the team for the past 2 years because it just looks like the Same to me Same style same bad team choice same bad substitutions I was expecting at the least different team choice and different substitutions when needed not just replacing like for like same old story for the last 2 years.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 13:15:05
Your right ED, the chances yesterday could’ve won numerous games but didn’t. With that amount of chances getting created and squandered, at no point did it enter Kennedy’s head to put another striker up top with edouard? 6 mins to go and he brings griffiths on? Come on that’s surely a joke?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - LG's not been fit all season and is blowing out his @rse after he needs to run but if the players on the park had done their job properly we would have won the game comfortably.
I've been saying for months that the players need to take a lot of the responsibility for this season's failures as they simply haven't been performing anywhere near an acceptable level, the same thing happened yesterday and no change of tactics is going to change the mentality and basic failures of the players out on the park.
If LG wants to start games then he needs to work harder and show more in training, if you're phoning it in at training you can't expect to start games.}

08 Mar 2021 13:17:30
Totally agree kev83. Yesterday wasn’t our worst performance of the season but my god if it’s no working change it. 3 strikers on that bench, to bring one on with 6 mins tae go? That I’m afraid does lie at Kennedy’s door.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Mar 2021 13:26:28
Ed I respect what u say, but had it just been griffiths on the bench I’d accept it but he had ajeti and klimala sitting there. If griffiths ist in shape.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd have probably put Ajeti on before Griffiths - it's scandalous that he still isn't fully fit yet - but Klimala's terrible, he shouldn't even be on our bench.
All I am saying is you can't blame the tactics when you see how we dominated the game, it's those tactics that created the chances for players to squander. The game should have been dead and buried before substitutions even came into the equation. Kennedy's game management was poor, subbing Turnbull was just bizarre, but there was nothing wrong with the way the team was set-up - or how they actually played in the first half - and all that was missing was goals, and that was down to more individual poor performances.}

08 Mar 2021 13:33:26
Thats where tactics come into it. The coach should be at the side saying to himself how can i influence this game as things are not falling for us.
that's what the good ones do.
We created 25 chances with 3 strikers on the bench and no one to take them why not put on LG when we are creating chances.
He waited till we were not creating chances and put him on. that's just not good coaching.

Anyone can see we have struggled to score this season yet we continually try to go thro the middle. No variation.
Good coaches try everything average ones dont. No matter what we think JK will be thinking this is his opportunity to impress. He should be being brave and bold and showing the world what he can do. He hasn't done that so far.

If you watch back to when Rodgers was here players without the ball would run in to space or draw players out Lennedy time players walk when not got the ball if move at all that is down to coaching if the players are just going to play zonal they won't move into free space other than the space they have been told to go I am by no means a football tactician but its clear to see that ALL the teams know how to play us Yesterday we did have most of the play but all they done was flood their box no one tried to draw them out the shots we had 27 were trying to thread the ball through a needle or when getting it on target most shots were tame because we had to go for accuracy not power nobody on the wings to draw players out quicker we get a good manager in the better.

Their board went all in. It worked because we didn't. The time of looking at our shoes and hoping should be over. Don't even think of asking the support to fund our response if you aren't going to do the same. You will be told in no uncertain terms to get yourself TF.

He is also a self made billionaire and in the past, when it was required, stepped in personally and delivered MON and BR who both brought success to the club.

He conducts his business as it should be conducted, away from the media spotlight.

If we go into next season relying on forrest then we have no chance. The difference between Rogers, Gerrard and lennon is the first 2 had a team around them that were all pushing in the same direction.
