Had a quick count of how many season tickets are available online.
321 is the total.
So if we are allowed to sell 52k
then by my calculations we have sold over 51 1/ 2k season tickets.

Paul Elliot. best centre half I've seen at Celtic in 40 years of watching the team. Better than McNeil and all named since.
08 Jun 2016 21:25:27
Big Billy retired 41 years ago. Paul Elliot was a great centre half no doubt it was such a pity we didn't keep him longer. I I think I would still prefer Bobo though.
08 Jun 2016 21:29:20
Bully for you 😉.
08 Jun 2016 22:30:55
No chance bobo over big Paul Elliott
That guy had everything you could want in a defender
Tackled like a tank
Great headerer of a ball
Pace
Good ball player.
I loved bobo but he was no elliot.
09 Jun 2016 08:12:56
Bobo was a liability in big games. Cost us the game in Seville. Elliott was a Rolls-Royce, Bobo more of a rally car😜🍀.
09 Jun 2016 11:33:11
More like a pick up truck!
08 Jun 2016 18:18:08
Well it is less then 24hours to the transfer window opens. Wonder how long will we have to wait for our first signing, or does BR. Has to off load loads before he can bring in. Interesting time. Looking forward to the type of football BR likes to play.
08 Jun 2016 18:34:53
Thought the transfer window didn't open till 1st July?
{Ed007's Note - The domestic window opens tomorrow.}
08 Jun 2016 19:00:00
So that just Scottish to Scottish or can we buy fae anywhere in Britain?
{Ed007's Note - Just Scottish, the international window doesn't open until 1st of July.}
08 Jun 2016 19:10:17
Domestic means Scotland and rest of UK, yeah? If so will be happy to hopefully begin to see a lot of departures. Obviously, we will have to wait until July for Zlatan's big announcement lol.
08 Jun 2016 19:23:40
So probably won't see much movement then other than some out.
Don't think we will be doing much shopping in Scotland.
{Ed007's Note - I certainly hope we're not mate.}
08 Jun 2016 20:08:13
I wouldn't be pissed off with Russell or Hayes to be honest.
Think both good player who could lift there game.
But would still want a few big name signings brought in.
08 Jun 2016 19:59:19
Damn right ED! There's nobody in the scottish market I'd consider right now! At a push I'd say wee mcginn from hibs but we need another midfielder like a hole in the head! Unless we're bringing in one with pedigree and class! No thanks to signing any player from Scotland! Let Brendan get a look at what he's got when pre season starts and shift some of that deadwood! Then look to add when the window opens next month!
{Ed007's Note - McGinn's a decent player but he's not any better than what we have, not by a long chalk. There is not one single player in Scotland outside Celtic who would get a game for us, we've had more than enough of buying players in the hope they turn out good enough.}
08 Jun 2016 20:23:27
Have we set up a panel to deal with transfers or is BR being given a free reign?
08 Jun 2016 20:56:30
Totally agree ED! Time for projects to be over. what we need is 3 or 4 quality additions while trying to cut the deadwood! Stokes is off and CKR will surely follow. hopefully scepovic and ciftci find other clubs to! Any word of scepovic ED? Also forgot about Cole, get shot of him to, then we can go out and buy a striker with some quality who can go straight in and help wee Griffiths! For once I'm not screaming out for us to sign players right away lol. i would much rather BR took a good look then get rid of the players who ain't going to cut it! And there is a lot of them lol.
{Ed007's Note - Spot on - there's no point in signing a player that isn't better than what we already have. Scepovic will join Getafe when the window opens.}
08 Jun 2016 21:45:11
Fridjonsson (spelling) is that no aner striker on our books who has never bn mentioned to get rid of?
HH
Chris1888.
08 Jun 2016 21:47:29
Sorry jus seen he moved to KR rec-bla bla dunno hw t spell it lol
HH
Chris1888.
{Ed007's Note - KR Reykjavik.}
08 Jun 2016 22:25:09
McGinn should have been brought back from Aberdeen a couple of seasons ago as he would have been a much better option than the frustrating Forrest who offered zero and arguably he is better than GMS to have in the squad?
{Ed007's Note - He wouldn't have got anywhere near enough game time and would have just ended up at Hibs or Dundee anyway. Players his age need to be playing games not sitting on their arse like your Scott Allans of the world.}
08 Jun 2016 17:21:04
My third value bet is again Golden Boot I have a small bet on Nolito at 33/ 1 each way four places.
08 Jun 2016 17:36:25
Totally agree seems to be scoring in most of spains warm up games he's my bet for sure
08 Jun 2016 18:37:30
Good shout Tim, he had a cracking season just there. The only issue is whether Spain will show up at the tournament. They've been off the boil recently.
08 Jun 2016 13:57:41
Hi Ed, Gents.
In your time watching Celtic who has been your favourite CB's. For me Paul Elliot and Alan Stubbs. Haven't seen many since that could pass a ball like Stubbs. Kennedy was looking like the next Stubbs before his injury looked like he was going to be a class act and future captain.
{Ed007's Note - I've got to agree with you, Stan. I can't see past those 2.}
08 Jun 2016 16:53:29
Van Dijk and Mjallby. Van Dijk was a huge miss last year both at the back and going forward. No surprise to see him strolling it in the EPL.
08 Jun 2016 17:07:00
I liked big reiper and Elliot for my other cb. nobody picked the big Chinese fella du wei or something like that can't mind its burned out my memory.
08 Jun 2016 17:07:16
I think Elliot was the best defender I've seen at Celtic but a close second would be mark reiper.
08 Jun 2016 17:11:48
Tom McAdam and Roy Aitken.
08 Jun 2016 17:23:49
stubbs and mjallby.
08 Jun 2016 17:31:01
Elliot, mjalby, and Stubbs for me.
Remember vega, I thought he was a stand out in his short time here, gutted when he left.
08 Jun 2016 17:56:54
Big Billy McNeill.
08 Jun 2016 18:20:56
Big Stan vargar and Jos valharen were to fantastic defenders. Not really any bad ones in mon days. Big mick in Gordon's 1st season was fantastic. My fave that I watched would have to be big reaper wouldn't have stopped that mob with out him. Just shame only really got one season out him and big virgil. He's a class act that will go all the way to the top I hope. Would be perfect for Barcelona along side pique with his pace and comfort on the ball.
08 Jun 2016 18:32:36
George Connolly and Mark Reiper . Connolly was just a wonderful footballer, brilliant and Marc Reiper seemed to build confidence and make better players out of the players around him.
08 Jun 2016 18:38:20
For me eillot varga mjallby valharen
And reaper are the best I have seen
08 Jun 2016 18:39:42
Reiper was a cracker I also like joos and mjallby. Van dyck looked great and could go on to be one of the best in Europe if he keeps progressing.
Top 2 in my opinion are Marc reiper and Paul Elliot.
08 Jun 2016 19:15:53
Big bobo on his day and stubbs.
08 Jun 2016 19:57:45
VVD and Paul Elliot and I've got tbh I thought Gary Caldwell was 1 of the best passers of a ball for a cb shoot me know lol.
08 Jun 2016 20:26:41
Virgil and Big Johan. That would be some partnership.
08 Jun 2016 21:02:43
I actually liked Elliot and mowbray 2 great centre halfs although would loved to have seen Elliot and Stubbs 2gether.
08 Jun 2016 22:57:40
Enjoyed reading that cheers Gents.
09 Jun 2016 00:47:33
Enrico annoni . loved this guy . but has to be Elliot and rieper for me
Hail hail.
09 Jun 2016 01:46:48
Mabey my generation but Johan first pick for me. I remember my uncles calling him "the thug". Annoni n'aw noo deserves a wee mention :) cha. Bobo on a good day was enough for some strikers to just give up. Same for many on the names mentioned. I mind a post match interview with varga and they couldn't fit his napper and shoulders in the same shot. Miss them all.
08 Jun 2016 12:47:45
hi ED all the best to u and yer family I think we shouid consider ashley willimas at Swansea city experienced center half dunno if we can be able to afford him but loan move with a option to buy wouidnt go wrong.
{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate.}
08 Jun 2016 17:13:47
Doubt we could afford him.
08 Jun 2016 13:44:41
With Koeman off to Everton we should get 5-6m from sell ons if he takes all our old players with him. One way or another I think all of them will move this window even if it isn't to Everton . If we add that to the 10m promised and all the saved wages in players we ship out we should have a pretty healthy budget. I've not dared to add cl money as it's not a given but we don't have any excuses to not push the boat out on a few good players this year.
08 Jun 2016 18:38:33
Koeman to Everton, I think is a disastrous move . At Southampton Koeman could well have got top 6 finish every season .
Koeman at Everton will probably struggle to stay out of bottom six while I expect now that Koeman is gone Southampton will return to mid table . Sometimes the best move for clubs and managers is no move .
08 Jun 2016 21:12:08
I think Southampton bring in De Boer so can't see him wanting to lose big VVD anytime soon, also Foster arguably best keeper in that league on he's day maybe man u keeper just shades him but think he better than Hart, Waynama cracking player but to me that Bhoy will go wherever the big £££ is I like the lad but think he thinks should be on Ronaldo and Messi wages.
