At 17 points clear, rangers are spending too much money to win SFL div3. They could offload their top 5 paid players and still win it comfortably. Indeed as they are in the same league next year no need to buy anybody until jan 2014.

" Maybe i'm getting confused, but are you not still at school Smithy?If so, how can you afford those prices?I work for Celtic and even i'm struggling to afford the CL game against Juve.

Jungle Bhoy."
Just reading through the reply's to my post last night, and thought it would be rude not to reply. Yes JB, I am still at school, but I have a job and all the money I earn goes towards paying for tickets. Plus my parents help me out as they know how much I love going the game, without sounding arrogant they are both on good money, and as long as they see I'm working hard, they'll help pay.
Ed, how are Celtic getting on in the NextGen series this year?
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - It didn't go too well Smithy, 1w, 1d and 4 losses in the group stage.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

That's a shame Ed, Liverpool qualified for the next round tonight, we lost our first three games before beating Dortmund, Rosenberg and Inter comfortably at home to qualify. Did you see that UEFA are creating a rival version of the tournament next year? Will be interesting to see which teams stick with the NextGen and which move to UEFA's.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - The UEFA competition is only open to clubs who qualify for the CL group stages, you won't have to worry about that for a LONG time ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, our youngsters will have us dominating England in the coming years Ed, so many talented players coming through, I've never seen anything like it in England in my time. Beat you lot this weekend and we are right in the mix anyway. I have every confidence, Suarez against Vidic will be hilarious.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - At least there will be a strong and impartial referee that won't put up with Suarez and his cheating ways...

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha, I'm not biting Ed, Suarez is the best player in the league, and it's why rival fans give him such a hard time, not that he cares in the slightest.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - Now you are coming across like a love-struck teenager Smithy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Has Ed007, I hear Liverpool are already considering an appeal against the 2 straight reds cards they will no doubt recieve from Webb ~ Mrs E {Ed007's Note - LFC's reputation proceeds them, and as usual they are getting their excuses in early.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, just read this Ed, you wouldn't understand how I feel about Suarez, as Celtic could never attract a player of his ability ;-)
But on a serious note, I genuinely believe he's the league's best player, name me somebody better, and don't say Van Persie, Suarez can do things Robin can only dream of.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - What things? Being able to eat an apple through a tennis racket....RVP, Rooney, Hazard, Mata, Aguero, Tevez are all a level above Suarez. I'd have Suarez at about the same level as Welbeck or Defoe.}

Oh my word jabba has really spat the dummy out. You can bet he knew he was playing to the gallery with that dirge.Thats 2 inflammatory postings at Celtic on the official sevco site in a matter of days and as ever silence from the msm.
Gally

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Gally to be honest I don't see why the media or Celtic should give it any credibility, its farcical and a laugh out loud moment.

Really a 3rd div club trying to make out they have anything in common with an SPL club in the final 16 of the CL. Talk about hanging onto our coat tail

Charles Green had NEVER had a team play in the same division as Celtic and I hope he keeps to his word and never does.

Him & his puppets are poison & he was found out at Sheffield Utd. Mrs E

Agree7 Disagree1

Green's got his big hands on sevco5088's money. The most money they will ever have at the one time. I'd be worried.
Craig Whyte was the last owner of historic Rangers, Ally McCoist was the last manager.
Charles 'Glinty' Green has founded a new club after unsuccessfully trying to save the old club with a hopelessly inadequate CVA. He employed Ally McCoist as a new manager and recruited new players on free transfers.

Agree4 Disagree0

I think you will be proved right Mrs E the bold chico will most likely work his ticket by end of 2013 I think Jabba and Dicksons rants are proof they are hurting a lot more than they are willing to admit at sevco park
Gally

Agree5 Disagree0

I f*rt in his general direction.
An attack on another club and its fans.
Not allowed under SFL and SFA regulations. He must surely be collared by SFA compliance officer.

Agree3 Disagree0

The bottom line is why should anyone take advice from a newly formed club thats the result of their real club being liquidated how can they say what's the best way forward for the rest of the clubs when they couldnt even look after their own ... look at the mess you made of your own club then you will realise why no one wants to listen to you its simple

Agree5 Disagree0

Check this article out from 2011 when Rangers (and Celtic) were seeking legal advice over comments on the Hearts Vlad.

Remember how Rangers fans & most of Scottish football used to cringe at Mad Vlad's rantings, now Rangers have one of their very own.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2008013/Hearts-Vladimir-Romanov-mafia-rant.html

Mrs E

Agree5 Disagree0

Jabba Dabba Doo now the lone voice of dissent from any SPL or SFL club on the 12-12-18 plan. Yet he claims his new club speaks for the benefit of Scottish football, not just their new club. Deranged. Good luck with that. Nobody listening to self serving sevco. Why doncha boycott the vote or better still leave the league.

Listening to Clyde i have just heard a call from, possibly, the thickest fan i have ever heard.The caller, John, was bemoaning the fact that The rangers would now be playing meaningless fixtures till the end of the season if the 12-12-18 reconstruction goes ahead.His logic being The rangers would not be winning promotion. This would be the same team who's fans were trumpeting the fact they would be "new record" holders for clinching a league early.This obviously would render the remaining fixtures meaningless, and despite Delahunt pointing out they would win a trophy(he never mentioned it would be their first strangely)and the time frame for them returning to the top flight would be unaltered, John could not grasp the point.
John then flipped to the point of how much he was enjoying "the journey" The rangers were on.He loved the fact of highland hotels and cafes for away games.John, if it is so wonderful, why would you not be looking forward to doing it all again next year? It seems this surge in supporter anger has been fuelled by Jabba doing a piece for the The rangers website, how interesting. Not having read the article i cannot see why this anger has materialised. Could it be the "journey" is now becoming a bit stale due to the fact that the football is dire? Might it be that they are a bit miffed that, as a new club, they have no say in the direction the game takes? Or, and this is my guess, they will not be able to increase season ticket prices next year? How could they?Same teams same product. As for the meaningless fixtures John, your team are SEVENTEEN points clear.You have a team of full time players, some on thousands per week, some internationals and a player who cost £750k in your ranks, playing against part time players.You think the league is competitive or finished? It would appear that the comedy gold is back..............green jhedi

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Are Arbroath not a team of part timers? This argument about part time and full time footballers is complete b**locks. These people are still professional footballers with the only difference being fitness levels, facilities and pay packets.
Explain please who is going to benefit from league reconstruction? The SPL is exactly the same with 12 teams and lets face it Rangers or not the product is p*sh, your club will face no challenge whatsoever, look at your league placing and points already.
And as for the journey being stale, could that refer also to the dwindling Celtic season ticket holders who openly state there's no point there's no Rangers game, so really your argument is two sided and could fit both clubs.
Comedy gold, really? PB

Agree1 Disagree8

I think your second sentence dispels your argument that the difference between part time and full time is b******* . Celtic also have the third highest home gates in the UK only behind Man Utd and Arsenal hardly dwindling ............DH

Agree4 Disagree0

@1 PB I do agree I don't see any benifit in reconstruction, but to your comment celtic fans openly state 'there's no point there's no rangers' I have to say that is complete boll**ks I have never heard a celtic fan say anything like this. The reason why there is dwindelling attendances is the same reason all businesses are suffering, we're all skint and we have shelled out quite a bit of money on higher priced season tickkets, more cup games, more expensive away games and of course CL not to mention the fact that onle man you and Arsenal are the only clubs to have more through the gates than celtic. Yes we have shown lack of motivation in some games because we have been focusing on CL, and im not excusing this but your tean ARE playing amature teams who onlt train 2/3 nights a week.
DB77

Agree6 Disagree0

@PB; Ah, the Arbroath argument. Celtic park game they had one shot on goal, which took a wicked deflection before going in.Celtic were also poor and had changed the team to give game time to a few players.At Arbroath, in freezing conditions, on a rutted pitch, which was getting worse by the minute in the second half, they won the game.All that matters in an away cup tie against a team fired up on a pitch which was a great leveller.Are you having a laugh with this "the only difference being fitness levels, facilities and pay packets" Nice of you to miss out the international players and the £750k signing there. I do agree the product is not the best, but there does seem to be a lot more competition for European places and extra monies for league placings."Dwindling season ticket holders" 46k i believe was the figure, so down a bit but still pretty good in a recession.I don't know who you speak to but no point no rangers? Are you serious? Once again your over inflated ego's are hilarious.Just who do you think you are? The rangers are a new club who were lucky to be admitted to the SFL at all as you had no accounts! Hence the reason you have no vote in the restructure of the leagues, you are still not full members. Comedy gold? Dont you think one of your fans failing to grasp that reconstruction does not alter, one bit, your "journey" to the big league? I did, hence the comedy gold. When are your accounts due to be published.I expect that might be our next treat!.......green jhedi

Just watched TV news. Big Raman reporting 12-12-18 is formally agreed. Also reported Rangers have been told formally if it happens next season, they will start in the bottom.
Raman stated at the end that James Traynor (Jabba) had just called and stated everybody at Hampden and SFA were hypocrites. Absolutely astounding!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

So Jabba thought a new club, that was generously given entry to SFL without 4 years accounts, should uniquely be given favour to skip divisions? Unbelievable.
Jabba will now need to qualify his 'hypocrites' statement.

Agree5 Disagree0

A team who say they want to start at the bottom and work their way up but complain when they don't get fast tracked how hypocritical is that ??

Agree4 Disagree1

A director communications calling a national news channel, whilst on air, to blurt out an insult at the national association. That football club really is starting off very badly. We know their CEO is out his depth but this dir comms is a loose canon.
Deeply out his depth.

Continually bringing the game into disrepute that sevco lot.
Jabba the mutt needs to be briefed that he's no longer a ridiculed hack but a club director who can be summoned to the SFA for punishment or expulsion from holding office in the game. Somebody needs to complain to the compliance officer. He cannot publish whatever he wants now.

What's your thoughts on Rio Ferdinand as a signing in the summer Ed?Do you think he could do a job for us if the wages were right?Personally, i think his experience would be invaluable to us qualifying for the CL next season.Teams will know what to expect from us next year so i think we would find it harder to get past 3 rounds before the group stage.Don't know how he is with injuries these days so what do you think?

Jungle Bhoy.
P.S Cheers for putting the pic up for me mate. {Ed007's Note - I would rather have Vidic :-) I am not Ferdinand's biggest fan and obviously his £120k a week wages would be miles away from what CFC could offer him. The latest on him is that Man Utd will offer him a contract extension but on £70k a week wages, I expect him to sign it or possibly move to MLS.}

also have you or anyone else heard of tresor mputu? great work mate

Kieran1967 {Ed007's Note - JB posted a pic of the top in the other day, it is hard to tell from a pic what tops are like I always find. CFC are free to negotiate with any company they want, it is companies that usually want a joint sponsorship, I'd prefer us to have our own sponsors.}

As we all now know Lionel Messi won the Balon D'Or
last night, at another prestigious event held in the
Sarry Heid Mr Alistair McCoist was voted the
Balloon at the Door, and it turned really messy when
Ally then ate 56 starters, 56 main courses but only 45 puddings as he is trying to cut down. It then took 4 joiners to take off two doors to allow him to roll gently out the establishent and onto his open topped lorry (extra wide) for the ride home, only stopping twice at two takeaways to keep him going. Darren Bent to Celtic - from a reliable source...
not really, but think it would be worth a shout?

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Depends on his ambition.If he really wants to play he could prove himself, he's made enough cash in his last two moves so money should not come into it. I remember about five years ago hearing Jason Roberts on radio saying he would have took a pay cut to play for a club the size of Celtic.Thats the attitude we would need from Bent, although Roberts is a big Celtic fan.........green jhedi

i have carred out an extensive search of uefa, fifa, sfl, spl, sfa, archives and nowhere does it state that rangers international have won anything in their short history. and the way they're spending money in the third division { £12,000 pw for a crap goalie } they might not exist long enough to win the league this season, i mean, what is their wage bill. the team must be on 75k, coaching staff 10k, the manager, reportedly 20k + all the pies he can eat . another 270 staff on minimum wage 75k . £180,000. rates, insurance, police, stewards, electricity. the upkeep of auchinshoogle . oh and lets not forget tax and nice . all of this from 18 games at £0.5m . so £9m divided by 52 = £173,000 per week . i smell a 30 point admin deduction coming on .. shammy

Believable4 Unbelievable2

THE CLUB fell into liquidation.... FIFA.

They were skint going into the desperately needed share issue. Educated Guessing they banked £16m which wouldn't make a dent in repairing Ibrox or removing asbestos. Operating costs of the unreconstructed LEVIATHON is about £2m a month. It's like having a huge yacht or castle but being on minimum wage.
£10m going to Sally is just plain bananas Glinty speak. On top of everything there's investors looking for profits/ returns. Fourth tier then third tier incomes with an SPL top price team will.

Shammy, don't forget Chuckie and his buddies, Stockbridge and Ahmed.In the prospectus Chuckie is on £350k pa and he gets his rent paid(£1600 pm) and his council tax and utilities! i would hope that no player leaves in January but would expect some to leave in the summer, having said that i would like to offer my view on replacement signings Tommy Oar, Ponitus Jonsen, Arron Ramsey, Jonny Russell, Gary Mackay-Stevens and most certainly Andres Cornelius. These are all very young bright and up and coming stars I would like to hear any other comments from out there

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Aaron Ramsey has signed a new contract at Arsenal (last month) for £60,000 per week. Absolutely no chance of him mate.
Going with current policy, any signings will be players relatively unknown to Joe Public. Big names are a thing of the past.
I do not believe the Dundee Utd lads (or Leigh Griffiths quoted elsewhere?!) are good enough - certainly no better than Stokes though we have missed him this season.
Personally, I will be surprised to see anyone else sign this window (does not mean I do not want any signings) and doubt any first team players will leave - for now.
I do believe any 'business' we do in this window will be more in terms of reaching agreements on who will be sold in the summer, and line up replacements on pre-contracts if possible....................kbt1978

I have to say, although big vic comes across to many fans and hooper as well as our best players, got to say for me the stand out between our level of improvement over the last few season has to be big Fraser. His saves have been one of the pinnacle parts of our teams recent success (ie. Barcelona, Motherwell the other week, penalty save last year against Hearts and many more) really got to give him credit. At first I never though I could see past Boruc a big mad tim at heart and got the crowd going as well as pulling some great saves but Forster can be world class no doubt about it has developed massively.
