I noticed wee Johnny Hayes coming off the team bus wearing a moon boot. Thought the challenge on him from Haribo was a bit of a shocker and could easily have been a red.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

09 Dec 2019 07:54:06
That wee rat Collum let them (especially Moralos) away with murder all game - while, once again he could not wait to red-card a Celtic player immediately without a second thought. Some of their tackles were at least dangerous and verging on malicious - but unpunished.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2019 09:15:05
I think one of the worst ones was the knee high hack at Eddy! The defender had no intention of going for the ball and in my opinion should have been a straight red! Resultinf free kick led to the goal which was a great karma moment.

We played crap and still pumped them. Roll on the 29th😁.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 22:56:31
Celtic are to appeal wee Frimpongs red card. Given that the foul was Morelos, deems it NOT a goal scoring opportunity 👍🏻.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 22:52:38
Glorious result, uncharacteristic performance. Until pen I thought Frimpong was our best attacking threat. Don't know what went wrong as middle to front we were rank. It's good when bad day at the offices ends with another trophy and extra sweet when its against the mob.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

09 Dec 2019 08:05:19
We were too easily bullied and out-fought from middle to front.
Our lack of height and strength on the ball from the likes of McGregor, Morgan, Forrest, Hayes, Elyannoussi, Christie and Johnston was a big factor, where skill and touch can sometimes be snuffed out by weight of numbers and power.
Nonetheless, a major factor is experience, organisation and winning mentality and that is where we held all the aces - and 'The Wall'.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:30:31
I'm still grinning from ear to ear after that result. Play terrible, get battered for large parts and nick a dodgy winner - fantastic! Big Fraz was unbelievable, up there with the Barcelona performance. There was a bit of disagreement on the sending off but the wee man's admitted it was a foul and for me, although we had players nearby, Morelos was ready to blaze the tap in over the bar so I thought it was fair.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 21:53:40
guys. jonny hayes he to my knowledge has never let us down. in my view we should be keeping him. his attitude is terrific and his work rate is immense. god bless jonny hh.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 21:58:57
Not good enough.

Agree3 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:09:43
Johnny Hayes is rank rotten! Work rate alone shouldn’t be enough to play for Celtic! There was a spell in the 2nd hand were it was actually embarrassing to watch! Played on there forwards more than once and his use of the ball was horrendous! Seems like a crackin wee guy but he’s nowhere near the standard we need! Taylor and boli are obviously the 2 first picks and I hope to god they stay fit!

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:11:18
Robroy he was crap today, especially first half. Puts in the effort but lacks quality for me, saying that he's not a lb.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:24:14
We Johnny not for me great from the bench. Not not my first pick. Not sure what Lenny was thinking as Morgan never an out and out centre forward as our players had nobody to pass to so played without a proven centre forward to pass to then eddy came on and you seen the difference. Griff should have been on at least he would have been in the correct position.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:36:33
Wow, I’m shocked about these critical comments especially from kev, to me second mom after glorious Forster ✊🏼🇮🇪.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:48:57
Johnny Hayes was one of the few players to get pass marks today in my opinion.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 23:01:08
lennonAtWork. my thoughts too.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 23:09:30
Na not for me lads! He’s a trier I’ll say that but he seriously lacks quality! But like someone else said he’s never a left back in a million years! Thought he was particularly poor today but to be honest! But saying that so were most of his team mates lol! Just hope boli and Taylor stay fit for the games coming up.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 23:53:17
Nonsense guys! Hayes never let's us down. First half it was him and Frimpong who offered themselves and tried to make something happen at least👍 Hayes is a cracking squad player and definitely worth keeping.

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Dec 2019 01:25:01
In the first have he passed to our team once. 3 times he got in to a good position by overlapping and couldn't beat the 1st man.
He is no where near good enough and should not get near our team, even the bench when everyone's fit.
Being a hard working honest pro isn't good enough to be a celtic player.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2019 02:15:26
Sevco are a 1 trick pony, put opposing full backs under pressure and hope for the best. If we had our first choice full backs starting, they wouldn't have been anywhere near as dominating first half.

They can try and slate club all they want for scrappy win but end of the day we won! They have a short memory as last season when they beat us 1-0 ball deflected off Brown and we never heard the end of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:30:32
How bad are Rangers, we play pish and they still can't beat us?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 21:29:34
Do you think gerrard will mention why his team never gave us the ball back, or will he leave it to the motherwell manager to explain it.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 21:59:57
They also went straight down the tunnel and never watched us lift the trophy.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:11:19
Classless from top to bottom!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:49:29
To be fair they wouldn't have seen us lifting the cup through all those tears.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 20:49:32
So after 2day and the lack of strikers and Lennon plays Morgan in there before Griff does anyone think he might be finished in a Celtic top?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't say he's finished but the future's looking bleak. My nephew met him today and he wasn't impressed that he wasn't in the squad although he did pose for pics with the fans etc his mood wasn't good. If we bring in a new striker in January then I can see him moving on in the summer, I'd be surprised if he left in January.}

08 Dec 2019 21:44:47
Said before that I think wee griff will be off in the summer! Feel for the guy after all his problems and I wish him nothing but the best! Also a bargain buy for us with the goals he’s scored. just feel like his times up and today just confirms that! If u can’t get in front of Lewis Morgan to play striker then yir teas oot! Another striker is number 1 priority in January!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:49:14
Might see him sporadically but he's basically done imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 22:35:16
I’ll be gutted if Griff is on his way out of the club. I’ve never hidden my love for the wee man and still believe him to be the most natural finisher at the club. However I have to admit myself things don’t look good for his future at the club. Hope to god we’re all wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 20:46:45
We played poor today; that is the thrid game of four against THEM that this high pressing style they play has saw a poor passing performance.
We clearly need more up top with a strong outlet if we are to kick long out of defence. Perhaps going to an old fashioned 4 4 2. Two strong tall forwards battling their defenders If we don't but let's hope Bayo can support Awesome in the front line.
Another centre half and if we get Victor, he would have loved today
.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 20:20:45
That's the best of the lot.
The pressure our players and manager are under to keep this run going must be incredible.
Outstanding.
Could this be the start of another treble?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 20:44:08
Ad be ecstatic with the league now but another treble would be unreal this is fantastic so good Beeing a Celtic fan 🍀when that whistle went the feeling of ecstasy was really over powering.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 20:48:18
I have to agree winning like that will kill them .
But we really have to sign another striker in January
If we want to guarantee the league.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:41:44
It's the Hope that kills them time after time. that's one out worst games of the season yet still won with 10 men. Nerve wracking but happy days!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 20:19:09
Looks like the newco will have to wait a while longer for their first major trophy.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The way things are going the Klan will soon be claiming Al Ahly as the world's most successful club. #GoingFor55

08 Dec 2019 21:38:12
The first time I hear them do that I will lmao and recall these words of wisdom.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - 😁

08 Dec 2019 20:05:10
Is it not a bit ironic how start of the season that mob were slagging Julien off and he gets us the win against them? Lol.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's funnier or ironicer(???) that we've been slagging off & laughing at El Duffalo for years and once again he done hee haw and was lucky to stay on the park.}

08 Dec 2019 20:24:54
Julien has been a rock. Yes we rode our luck today but football is about winning. We have our chance on the 29th to put in a better performance and put a nail into there so called title challenge.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:39:09
Julien might have been a rock but in that first half they were getting their heads to too many crosses coming into the Celtic box, I thought it was a great result but a shocking, shocking performance, I know Brown is an inspirational figure but what does he bring to the midfield in a footballing sense, I would rest him and stick Ntcham in his place.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:44:37
Be must had about 10 fouls and countless dives. No bottle V The Champions.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 19:31:10
OOFT THAT HAS GOT TO HURT

Even when Celtic have an off day and Sevco dominate most of game, we still FEKIN GUB THEM.
For Goram read Forster
For Tommy Burns (RIP) read Gerrard
That game reminded me so much of games years ago when we battered them but Goram defied us. Now we have big Forster, we MUST break the bank and sign him.
The psycological damage that must have them today will be felt on them for the next few months.

I said that today Tim coming out the stadium that's some payback for my heartache during the,90s.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Apparently if you lived through those times you're a Celtic Da - I am not 🤬 impressed what that!}

08 Dec 2019 20:45:29
saddly were all celtic das these days ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Nah man, I'm like Welshy and an Ultra Da 😁

08 Dec 2019 21:23:41
Ed: I am a Celtic Granda still celebrating!
I genuinely can't think of a game we struggled in more than today and I was there when Thistle beat us 4-1.
I would value your opinion, bad set up? poor players? Conditions?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - To be honest I don't know what went wrong today, the only players that got pass marks from me was Forster, Frimpong and I know it won't be popular but Hayes who was once again flung in at the deep end and gave 100%, Edouard not starting was a BIG issue for me.
Tactically I would maybe go 4-3-3 against them in future to give us another man (Ntcham?) in the midfield and I can't believe I'm saying this but would Rogic have been a better gamble/option up front than Morgan? At least he can hold the ball up and spot a pass for runners.}

08 Dec 2019 21:36:22
Lol don't know about being a Celtic da but that walk from Hampden to the city centre has me feeling like a Celtic pensioner.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 21:53:39
Hahahaha ultra da I’ll take that 😂😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - 👍

08 Dec 2019 22:02:36
Ed: I thought before the game that Sinclair or Christie up front and Rogic behind would have been better but I have to say Edouard telling Lennon to leave him out was a worry.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 23:51:04
He should be our No.1 signing priority👍.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2019 00:03:04
Sinclair would have been my choice upfront. All irrelevant I suppose as we won ugly like Walter Smith used to do to us ha ha ha. Sweet crushing persons hopes ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 19:27:58
How many time in the 90's did Tommy Burns's Celtic team dominate the old rangers and lose the game thanks to the flying pig

Well guess what paybacks a bitch.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 20:45:55
Because he has same problem as Tommy did. He can't see how bad his defence is.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 19:10:58
Spare a thought for all the sad wee Sevvies over the other side of Glasgow this evening. They really did think today was their day, the day the tide finally turned and the day when they could claim to be the best team in the country. lol HH.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:53:34
I seriously need to have a look at the current Southampton goalkeeper because if Foster is surplus to requirements he must be brilliant although I believe he shipped a lot in on game, nine I think.

Anyway I think certain players thrive and are happy a particular clubs and it seems to work for Foster at Celtic. Other than than quadrupling your salary the grass is not always greener.

As with what has happened with quite a few moved although no doubt encouraged by an agent and disappeared up their own ego.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 19:14:20
It was even better than David Marshall's performance in Barcelona.
It was a blessing that Bauer was not on the bench. Having Bitton, Ajar and Jullian at the back with all those cross balls into the box at the end was a bonus.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 23:52:48
I breathed a huge sigh of relief when Biton came on.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 18:37:07
Why wasn't griff not there? Morgan is not cute or strong to play cf he needs to bulk up and get to the gym and get upper body strength to many time pushed off the ball needs to learn to hold the ball up and bring players into the game that's why we need to invest in another striker bayo injured again and he is a big guy but always injured should unload him to a team he can play for he no Drogba we need 2 more quality strikers.

08 Dec 2019 18:30:56
They were better for 60 mins, Forster was immense, never a penalty or ordering off, did you see after the game the players with Frimpong? Magnificent that is what team is about, and don't forget the times we battered them and they won.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:56:12
Yes it was a penalty and yes it was a sending off. Brilliant result though after playing so poorly.

Agree1 Disagree0

It was a stone wall penalty. But by new rules it’s only a yellow card.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 19:16:43
Will they buy the big man that won us the cup as he is worth every penny he has saved us or will it be the same story he is worth every penny for us and he should be back to the club he loves.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 19:22:47
Collum mayst have deemed it deliberate and that why wee Jezza saw red. Kev’s right if it’s an accidental foul in the box it’s just a yellow.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 18:26:58
El coo your worth 50 million oh you can't score your worth a pot noodle now how many times did foul 10 times and then missed a penalty ho ho ho.

Oh oh oh oh we're Glasgow Celtic 🍀.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:22:44
We have never played as bad in a cup final for a long, long time and for so many players to be as under par as that - at the same time is bizarre and a bit concerning.
However, ten trophies on the bounce against a team that played as well as they possibly could and still lost, is great consolation lol.
The bovine Columbian is a wee thug and tries to counte- act his inability to score against the champs by kicking, clogging and diving while establishment urchins like Gollum continually turn blind eyes and encourage it.
Not our best performance by far, but still - thanks to FF - good enough to take the silverware.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:21:57
That was psychological abuse watching that. Defense was unbelievable well done bhoys and ghirls to eek that out was unbelievable. Statue for Foster?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:18:21
There will be a few wrecked hooses in Govan tonight. Almost wrecked mine celebrating. How sweet was that winning with a controversial goal (half the team offside) and 10 men. The pain must be unbearable. We should erect a statue of big Fraser next week outside the Rangers end. Just in time for our next beautiful Sunday on the 29th.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 18:23:02
I don't think they will be angry tonight, just absolutely gutted that they were the better team and had plenty of chances to win but failed to do so because of big Forster.

Anyway, I am delighted that we robbed them and have the first part of the treble in the bag.

Lets hope Young Boys pump them on Thursday to put another nail in the coffin.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 18:07:26
Our defence was gd as we never had a natural centre forward that's why is seemed easy. As we never attacked Mikey Johnston missed a sitter don't forget that.
Them as soon as french eddy came on we score and then we improved that was the difference.
Yes we where rotten down to ten men no natural forwards and we still win.
Yes big Frazer was imence elbuffello trying to hard. You can put any spin on it you want a crap Celtic display is still to much for you.
Lennys duck broken first time he's win this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 23:30:13
We were lucky, very very lucky we have a cracking keeper and their £40+ million player couldn't hit a barn door 😂😂 Seriously though Lennon thinking Morgan up top would work is up there with the Cluj fiasco, seriously amateurish team selection once again. How he took so long to change it is beyond me as we were fortunate not to be 2 down by the time Edouard came on! Was Griffiths injured? Bizzare team selection!

The reason we were dominated by them was because we had no out ball, Morgan doesn't know where to show and he couldn't hold it up. The ball just kept coming back towards our goal time after time. If Edouard wasn't fit then why was he on the bench? He should have started, I dou't buy this " we can only get 20-30 mins out of him nonsense.

What makes it sweeter is el coo showed he still cannot score against us and his petulant behaviour is still there with his deliberate attempt to injure Jullien. He showed every penny of £40+ million valiation today😆 What about them not giving us the ball back😂😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 17:45:50

08 Dec 2019 17:36:48
rangers batterd celtic first half. the big dumpling 2 second best goalkeeper in the league made sure it stayed level. the not fit enough to start 9 million dud came on and changed the game for celtic and the 7 million over priced centre back scored the winner his foot was offside. it win us the match we will take that same as that mob would 100 percent take it and party with the win. they had chance to level the game and the 50 million pound best striker in the league fluffed it but there was no way it was getting past the wall today. still not scored against the champs. did the best right back in the league bottle it to take the penalty who knows but big Sutton was right hese a loser haha.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2019 17:34:12
Today's game reminded me of manager Tommy Burns Old Firm games. in reverse. we would pound them with all day and Goram would save everything thrown at him then Rangers would score with one chance
Well done Celtic and God bless Tommy what goes around comes around.

Totally agree there, that game reminded me of the old days when we played them off the park only for mcoist to nick it. Karma is a bitch. I don't mind winning like that, as long as we won that's all that matters. Wait for slippy excuses, wonder if he will get an apology from collum for allowing the goal to stand. Haha brilliant.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 18:00:36
Yep, those were long years. Today may have been as frustrating. Need to do some recruiting and we made some tactical mistakes today, so its crucial we learn fro that, once we're done celebrating.

Playing Morgan up front, unfit players, down to 10 men for most of 2nd half, gave them a penalty and they still couldn’t beat us! This is what it feels to be Celtic lads, serial winners and bottle and courage in spades! For all the sevconian who will pop on for a look, I’d accept 5 million for el coo if u can get it! A diddy and a bottle merchant who shouldn’t have been on the park! Told ye it’s the hope that kills ye! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

I want Frimpong to get the nod tomorrow because he will be a handful going forward.
I think also starting Boli would be a bit too adventurous because we would then be starting with 2 very attacking full backs.
If Frimpong starts I would start the dependable Hayes at left back because when Frimpong is bombing forward Hayes will sit in tight for that extra cover.
Forster
Frimpong Ajar. Julian. Hayes
Brown. Mcgregor
Forrest. Christie. Elyounoussi
Edouard
Subs Gordon, Bauer, Bitton, Rogic, Ntcham, Johnston, Morgan
Bauer can cover both full backs, so there is no room on the bench for Boli, Sinclair or Griff.

I want bauer on park as I think he's solid defensively and that's rangers strongest attacking area.
Griffiths has got to make bench for me. Their is no need for both ntcham and rogic on it so rogic should sit out.
