I agree we should not be panicking over the left back slot, we have plenty permutations at back. We do however need a solid goalie and some power and pace up front to alter the style of play at times. Yes, we do have most of the possession in SPL games but we do lack imagination and flair at times and Hooper seems uninterested at present.
Apart from Stokes and Ki we lack penetration and I am more than a little worried about our Europa cup tie if the past three weeks are a marker on sharpness and confidence.
Oh and why do we still have the Samaras problem
We should have any signing targets pencilled in as soon as last season ended instead of haggling like a Morrocan rug vendor and offering trials to guys off of You Tube ffs We only need a couple of quality signings to fine tune for the season ahead.

Totally agree with your post m8 and really fear the dark side may be getting a little stronger with the recent signings they have made so ffs Lenny sort it out

I agree its quite frustrating but i think we should have a little patience, usually the bigger signings come late in the transfer window, trying to save a bit of dosh with the wages, i would be very surprised if we never had these 2 positions sorted come end of august bowbhoy

There's more than 3 weeks left of the transfer window and the Europa deadline for the Sion tie has all but passed. Theres no rush, we have our core team already and if we can't beat them with that then in all fairness we shouldn't be there in the first place. We SHOULD be pumping these lot regardless of our keeper.
If lenny took players on trial in order to make a better judgement then I'm all for it. Would you rather he didn't take lacny on trial and just signed him? We have a big enough squad to cope for now, priority should be selling

whats wae the left back panic come on bhoys theres nae need for stephen crainey he is murder, as for goalkeeper why buy 1 when zaluska isnt being troubled in the spl keep him as number 1 and buy a forward that can change the game as the last 2 games in spl if stokes wasnt there we would be strugglen hooper could be a 1 season pony folks lets get a forward in before tonite

every1 needs 2 stop panicking we dont nd a new left back mulgrew is more than capable of filling in until izzy gets bk, , , , and the young guy mo yaqub can act as cover for mulgrew i have heard some very good things about him

Totally agree, we shouldnt be spending money on getting in a lb when we have cover when we need to sort out the goalie dilemma, neither goalies look good enough to be given the number 1 jersey, hoping Zaluska given a good run in the team can regain his confidence and produce the form he showed at dundee utd.

Been thinking a lot today regarding wee Emilio and what / who we should do / get. I think the current team is strong enough to play with out full backs and I would suggest that we should play a 3-5-2.

Would like to see forrest on the wing linniebhoy, not sure our wingers are fast enough to get back and defend, i liked the 3-5-2 but we had agathe and thommo then, also id like brown in a midfield attacking role so the 3-5-2 looks great just not sure if our defenders are good enough to have just 3 at the back, who would you play as a DM? johnny

A lot of business likely to be done in the last 3 days before the transfer deadline, after which EPL clubs know which players are surplus to first team requirements and can go out on loan. Both Rangers and Celtic likely to look for one-season loans via this route.

I think its the only way to get that better quality of player without splashing big money, worked for sunderland with there loaned in players, im sure a lot of teams are looking to loan off arsenal and an city this year, they have at least 3 quality strikers surplus i think so hopefully lenny will raid the premiership for an out of favour striker at least, johnny

Would like to see us bring in Thomas Cruise as cover/competion with Mulgrew while Izzy is out. Product of the Arsenal youth system so will know how to play and has recently been made a free agent so could have a decent sell on value providing all goes well. How realistic do you reckon this could be Ed? {Ed001's Note - he has had a number of trials down south and has yet to get a contract, I don't think he is good enough to be honest.}

There are a few rumours that lennon will sign a left back, that will not be happening as we have mulgrew and Matthews can play lb also and with young twardzic ( spelling) coming through the youth set up. Also heard a few about bentley on loan, and a few about Adam le fondre. Ed what do you think about the lb situation? Also would you take bentley and le fondre? If not who would you like to see Celtic sign? {Ed001's Note - I don't think there will be a panic to sign a left back myself. Bentley? Hell no, he is one of those extremely arrogant players that looks great on MOTD but does nothing but strut for 99% of the time. Le Fondre is a bit on the lazy side, not sure he would be good enough to get much time on the pitch.}

im a rangers fan but would like to wish Emilio Izaguirre a speedy recovery. It's saddening to see this happen to a player who lit up the SPL last season with his incredible runs and turned our defence inside out on numerous occasions. Get well soon Emilio

Emilio Izaguirre injured, sad indeed, As a Celtic fan I'm gutted, I wish him a speedy recovery. Hello ED, was wondering what your thoughts were on a replacement? I think Mathews can play left back and wilson right back or even cha, Having watched emilio in every pre-season game I felt he was a little bit rusty, saying that I know he just came back from a hamstring injury, I think maybe we rushed him back too soon. What do you think about Keiran Gibbs on loan from arsenal as cover ? would it be possible or will Arsene Wenger play him this year...? Also I think Daniel Majstorović is an accident waiting to happen, far to slow, doesn't read the game well enough, Charlie Mulgrew would be a lot better, Kelvin wilson is class.....cheers....Gazmc1888 {Ed001's Note - the only reason Gibbs wasn't first choice for Arsenal last season is that he is extremely injury-prone.
