Emilo can't be far away from return ed? Steve {Ed007's Note - He is ahead of schedule but I couldn't even guess when I would expect to see him back mate.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I would drop cha, put Matthews to rb and put emilo in LB steve
Agree2
Disagree0
Good stuff but Cha has done a good job as a stand in. IMO we are doing pretty well with cover at full back and young Matthews has been fantastic. On a slightly different note the Rosenburg boy looks like a player either CB or full back.
6'3" on a free and 19 caps for Sweden. DBhoy may do us a good turn as without the link with him and Mjallby there would probably be no chance of him coming. Ed have you heard any more about this player?
Agree0
Disagree0
I think Matthews has been brilliant so far, excellent addition to the first team, nevermind the squad. Matthews starting to show the form that attract Man U and Arsenal not so long ago. Can't wait for Izzy back as his marauding runs cause every team a problem, and Commons plays better with Izzy behind him.

The world class quote returns again from the manager who could not wait to be interviewed yesterday, no player lock ins, no throw big Mjalby out because the manager cant be trusted to talk to the media after a bad result. 2 great results from a centre half pairing that were magnificent, kayal who was like a lion and samaras who was again un-playable ( is that why he hasnt been playing and scoring ) Paddy McCourt who was just a joy to watch for 10 minutes. Reality now kicks in and its Monday and in the last week yous have went from 4th to 3rd in Europa league and went from 3rd to 2nd is SPL , Remember NL its you that called these players these great superlatives and it will be them who see you out the door come January. Also look out for a quick return to Barrowfield shortly when yous cash in on Lennoxtown. You heard it here first. {Ed007's Note - Yeah, The billionaire CFC directors really need to cash in on a bit of land on the outskirts of Glasgow. Dermot Desmond bought London City Airport for £23.5 million and sold it for £750 million after about 10 years. They must be desperate for the cash.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Lets get back to football is this the same DD who sold McGeady and bought 7 players with nearly all the money {Ed007's Note - What has that got to do with buying and selling land?}
Agree1
Disagree0
Would that 7 players include emilo, kayal, stokes, hooper, Mulgrew, ledley? If so what's wrong with that?
Agree5
Disagree0
I like Barrowfield...near where I live & has happy memories of hanging around when I was younger for an autograph - Mrs E
To the original poster - Yes it is Monday & the reality today is Parkhead has a very healthy crowd watching Celtic Youth playing Man City in Next Gen. {Ed007's Note - I used to 'dog' school, jump on the train and go to watch them at Barrowfield and collecting autographs, great times.}
Agree3
Disagree0
Thats correct those players you mentioned have not won a championship in the big smoke of Scotland and dont look like winning one soon. All losers and bottlers . It hurts when you hang your shirt on a rookie manager that sets your club back possibly 3 years on the football stage. The good thing about this site is it is all banter mate and we can go on all night but you have nursery in the morning.
Agree0
Disagree2
Ed what has DD buying airports and land got to do with Celtic finances has he spent any of it lately to bring you glory, when it comes to him spending his own money on players he has failed recently ( Keane, Keane. Bellamy and Lujnberg ) and looks like carrying the one season wonders on with Zenden. {Ed007's Note - It has to do with the fact that the poster said Lennoxtown would be sold, I wish people would actually read things through before commenting, it's not that difficult really.}
Agree0
Disagree1
Ed...we'd probably get arrested now :)
Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I was going to suggest we could have hid in the bushes but I'm not want Mr E round at the door ;-)
Agree0
Disagree0
He's Mr B (as in bluenose) ... lol
What about the above post, such nonsense. He/she was doing no too bad until 'you have nursery in the morning' then any credibility went oot the windae. What does the poster want...for every fiver blah to come out of Celtic Park. We all know where that led :)
Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Moneypenny jumped the wall, she saw the light years ago lol I get on great with her family banterwise etc though. Even my mammy jumped the wall years ago and she is from Larkhall!!!! Must be my families devastating charms that get them to 'turn' lol}
Agree1

Don't think he'll be jumping the wall..not football anyway. To be fair, he's all about the football and nothing else. Turned off the phone-in tonight as it was all about poppies. Footballs never off in my house & my young sons are getting just as bad...i've got them well trained though, Celtic fans - Mrs E
Small world - I work in Larkhall :)) {Ed007's Note - My mammys family all still live there, it's an interesting place lol}
Agree0

It hurts when you hang your shirt on a rookie manager
The above statement may come back to haunt you remember you have done the same with a rookie manager. Lets see how he gets on when you lot are under some pressure. It a long way until the end of the season. Yes you lot have it ll rosey just now but that cant and wont go on all season you will hit a bad patch and lets see how he copes then.

According to Clyde 1 this evening K Wilson and Izaguirre are about 4 weeks away.
Going on this - and I doubt they'll get thrown straight in and I consider it a long shot - but there's a chance they could be fit for at least some sort of role during the next OF game.

Happy to get 2 good wins in a row for a change although giving away the 'mandatory' early goal has not been rectified for far too long. Obviously can't get too carried away - just have to look at the SPL table - but we seem to have regained some fight.
Still not convinced about the management team however, as we seem to start games too slowly and have to chase most of the games when we lose soft goals in the opening minutes time after time.
Have to seriously question defensive coaching - if any? As this has been a long term weakness IMO.
Really don't know about this Zenden interest (if it's true) we went there with Ljunberg and it was a waste of time and money and it is very obvious we should be looking at centre backs and goalies who are out of contract as the midfield is well covered.
Once again priorities seem to be clouded by NL.
Pity the ridiculous International break is back as I would have liked to see a bit of momentum from The Bhoys? But suppose it helps the injured players to hopefully make good progress.

I'm not getting excited...next game is ICT away. Might be bottom of table but with our defence & was really nervous affair at Celtic Park a few weeks ago. I really don't understand how the defence keep getting caught out in the same way surely they must watch the re-runs of the game and realise. We had better get in at least 2 decent centre halves in January. - Mrs E

Evening Mrs E, I think we have our spirit back and hopefully in 2 weeks some of our injured players back, anyway we owe ICT a doing so I am confident of a good win LOL Timalloy
PS see the other horse tip for today was a loser also. Please SOMEONE give us all a decent tip ha ha {Ed007's Note - Stick with mine, don't eat yellow snow and keep your money in the bank ;-)

Evening Timalloy...hope your right with the ICT - did we not beat them 6-0 last season at one point ?
I'm a nervous wreck for 90 mins, its ridiculous :)

I'm really liking the midfield pairing of Kayal and Wanyama, if only we could get new CB in to partner Rogne. I believe Rogne is the best CB we have at club the now.

People on here like Timalloy make me laugh.
Here is a man, im guessing in his 40's-50's posting like a schoolboy on both site's.
Absolutely zero football content in the majority of his posts.
He sensationalises stories better that most red tops.
His retort will be 'its only Banter'.
Son its pathetic, stick to football related banter instead of regurgitating media crap.

Believable0
Unbelievable0
Im guessing it never went thro ... sorry ed.
Was just saying that guys like this are every bit as much of the problem as clowns like adam are (if its true).
"Class" guys like this are happy and actually want a rangers player to get done, to gloat and feel better about themselves..... I would prefer that this thing never ever came up and wasnt an issue for either side now that would be "class" not laughing that its happened to take a moral high ground.
Im sure u know what i mean ed
Germinator
Agree0
Disagree3
Germinator, if you want a serious discussion on this issue I am happy to do so. I know this chap is young and foolish but who are his role models? At Ibrox both coaches McCoist and Durrant were the ones that egged on Gazza to do his stupid "flute playing" Gazza did not know what he was doing but Durrant and mcCoist did, my question is if they still hold these views then obviously young players trying to catch Mc Coists eye are going to think this is one way of doing it. That is what I meant by shame on you all, also when young James McCarthy was at Hamilton he got terrible sectarian abuse by rangers fans, I could go on but that will do for now, so Germinator give us a reasoned reply Timalloy
Agree0
Disagree0
Years ago people thought and knew the world was flat .... opionions and people change as time moves on ..... you cannot deny it was more "acceptable" if u can use that word back in the day. You think Mccoist would condone and ecourage this behaviour now? i very much doubt it ....as it was mentioned in another post we could both go thro history nitpickin what players fans etc have done what and would get nowhere it how we move on thats important wouldnt u agree?
also u think that the above celtic fan (im assuming he is) is correct to be happy and gloat that it happened?
Germinator
Agree0
Disagree1
Germinator at least you can have a discussion here, tried to post on gers site but again not posted, your ed censors out anything bad with your fans or players.
Sadly, Germinator I have had experience of present day people associated with rangers (won't name them ED007) spouting sectarian rubbish,at nights out I attended with friends in "wee" Rangers club next to Ibrox, so I think problem has not gone away. Timalloy

Obv the problem hasnt dissapeared and every one in the world can say that they have had disputes, heard this, seen this. Your not following the point of the post tho and didnt asnwer the question ....
was the tic poster correct in what he said? What the initial poster doesnt realise that certain idiots will say/do crap that is aimed at folk like him (i aint saying he is id never accuse anyone without reasoning but i reckon someone who takes that sorta joy in seeing someone do something and get caught is the sorta person that dishes some of it out himself) ie. part of the problem. We need rid of both is all im saying wouldnt u agree Tim?
Germinator
Agree0
Disagree0
Germinator I agree with a lot of what you say, we need to move on from old stereotypes in both camps, but I also think we need to discuss these issues, albeit in an adult way, and try and see each other's point of view. Sadly I have tried on numerous occasions to post "serious" stuff on gers site and all I get back is silly abuse nobody over there will engage in a serious argument. So now sadly I just post over there to get a reaction as that is all they deserve. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I don't mind an adult conversation about issues as you all know, as long as it is constructive.}

Lenny thats a fair point who would mentor him tho. McCosit was learning off smith for years who did lennon have big tony? Plus for some reason i cant see lennon asking o'neil for advice in the same way you would expect ally to talk to walter
gazza72 {Ed007's Note - NL talks to Strachan more than MON.}
Agree1
Disagree0
Tbh gazza am not too sure. If GS talks to Lennon then good because as you said ally had smith 4 a number of years Lennon had ... Well Mowbray ? Lol, think if both managers hit trouble ie Celtic recent form they would pick up the phone to smith/mon/gs etc.
I would like someone to be there tho, not to baby sit as tho but to give advice when the Damage is happening because when we go down a goal it seems Lennon just sits there rather than shouts & gives out orders. Bit off topic tho a think the other 3 need a kick up the arse ! More so Johan (sp) defence/gk is piss poor all season & if it doesn't get fixed then I think the leagues away
Lenny
Agree2
Disagree0
To the original poster - the we are all neil lennon came from supporting a man who had mindless and idiotic bigoted thugs attack him and send mail with bullets etc in it - not blind faith in a MAN - after all he is only a man who's in charge of our team, which does not make him free from comment or critisism from us the paying public, we dont have to agree with his every call or statement to back the man
and yes we are Celtic supporters so launch your sad wee self back to your own page, i supported wgs up untill the point where he showed paying fans no respect - i'd say about the time Tommy Burns died, omo mind,
