The New Balance Liverpool away kit has been leaked and it's very, very smart. If ours was the same design with slightly different colours I'd be well chuffed. I know there was a Celtic one floating about already but I'm not sure it's legit tbh, anybody heard anything?

To be honest Kevbhoy, and to not be smart arse I don't have a lot of interest in our away top, only in. What goes into the top.

Hi guys, just had a look on the Celtic web site for season tickets, By the looks of it there is only about 800 left, and as BR said he wants the LIsbon Lions stand filled. Well done Brendan 1st job done.

The buying of season tickets is a token of the esteem the Celtic fans hold Brendan Rodgers in .
Hopefully B R and the Board repay the supporters faith, by fielding an attractive exciting team succesful in Scotland and making a mark in Europe . The last thing anyone of us want is this to be a one swallow summer .

Who is going to be Brendan Rodgers defining signing? The one who will define his future how he moulds his play round is it going to be box office or the new bright light it's all exciting stuff.

My second value (ish) bet for Euro 2016 is Austria to reach semi finals at 11/ 2
Going for them in this year of outsiders winning.

If I was to pick a dark horse it would be Austria or Poland. Really can't see past the obvious candidates to win it though but best of luck.

I agree, i have put them on to win. Why not, unbeaten in qualifying, and remember greece ! ALso an albania as lowest scorers, and giroud top scorer

Lads if anyone is wanting to put a coupon on for the euros that's just a bit of fun, Ladbrokes are doing a group stage coupon where u choose one outcome per group, it could be group winner/to qualify from group/top group scorer etc. A done it for the last world cup n big samaras done me out of £1300 with a last minute penalty. It can pay good money for small outlay is ma point. Good luck and hail hail

Here's a question guys
Since Martin oneill took over till now would you say most of our signings from the spl have been successful or more failures?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

07 Jun 2016 11:46:07
Good question man. All in all I reckon we've done pretty well in last decade or so. There have been stinkers like Riordan and Killen but we've also had likes of Broonie, Robson, Hartley and Marc Wilson to name a few. Might not have worked out with GMS (time will tell) but I think Armstrong will come good too.

Since the spending has sky rocketed in the championship any player with the talent can earn more so why stay up here? In more recent times mccarthy etc we have simply let the better ones slip by trying to get them too cheap. For older players using Robson and Hartley as examples if they were in their prime today I think they would be down south. The wages we pay now are less than what we did 15yrs ago! Not many teams will be able to say that.

Lol, asked a mate about this and he reminded me of David Fernandes-oooft!

07 Jun 2016 12:59:20
Wee McDonald, Agathe, Hartley, robson, think Caldwell and Pearson were decent to!

07 Jun 2016 13:38:50
Wow! Forgot about Agathe, was he from Hibs? Others mentioned good too (with exception of Flood)

07 Jun 2016 13:40:38
I think we have had some good players that stepped up a level when they have came to Parkhead
Agathe
Robson
Hartley
Brown
Caldwell
Momo syla
McDonald
Even rab Douglas was successful even though he had his blunders.

Ye Davie from hibs for less than £50 thousand

We all talk about Larsson being a bargain but your right lads Agathe was something else, one touch and away down the line. Mind how good his ball into the box was for Suttons header at Ajax.

Good shout Kev i forgot he scored, I'm giving the poor guy credit for a cross too haha. 3 cracking goals that night and could have been more. We really did have some team then we could have beaten anyone on our day.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jun 2016 21:37:50
Surprised Mulgrew (from Aberdeen) wasn't mentioned. Stokes too from Hibs. Pressley anyone?

All in you SHOULD be safer buying players who have proven themselves in our league but some of the dross mentioned here proves that isn't the case.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Jun 2016 22:36:22
Niallh I can mention plenty dross that has come from abroad or English football in that time tae.
Every signing is a gamble but we shouldn't just write off players for our own league just because it's Scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jun 2016 22:38:09
THEBIGTIM you could be right but it always worried me how often he got caught under the ball at boys level.

08 Jun 2016 18:00:18
Kev

I have been on before saying we should think about signing guys from our own league and been shot down every times. Hayes, Rooney, Logan, Shinnie (while at Inverness) , Armstrong, Ryan McGowan (while at Hearts) .

As someone else says every signing is a risk and even guys who have played for Real Madrid (Gravesen) have struggled playing here. We have just got to hope that BR has the Midas touch!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's nice to see more supporters not seeing CL qualification as a necessity because if we start signing players from lower leagues including any you've mentioned you can forget about it - we'd even struggle domestically if we filled our team with garbage like Hayes and McGowan.}

08 Jun 2016 21:19:26
Ed

I can't win. Already said in a previous post that half the buys from Scotland, even ones I suggested have been dross.

Champions League should be 100% our priority and it is good to see Stokes,CKR, Cole, Scepovic moving on as they are just not good enough. Hopefully this means we are looking at a different calibre of player now!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're not going to qualify for the CL if you're shopping for players in Scotland.}

09 Jun 2016 13:19:37
Not making my point very clear Ed, sorry.

I was accused by Kev of ruling out guys from Scotland. I was saying that in the past I have mentioned guys like Hayes and McGowan to prove that I hadn't completely ruled out making signings from Scotland.

My original point was that I had championed guys from Scotland who have since proven to be dross but that every transfer is a gamble.

I'm sure BR won't be looking through last seasons game footage and drooling over players from Killie and Hamilton. I am hoping he is aiming a bit higher than that especially with an adequate SPFL player like Stokes getting freed.
