HI ed,just a thought so everyone don't jump down my throat lol if we sell ki and two or three fringe players we could easily finance a deal for Rhodes ,templeton and donnelly who would be a risk because of the jump in Class but after talking to some airdire fans they said he would be available for around 80k to 120k well worth a punt at that what you guys think? Think huddersfield will be lucky to get five million for him even the guy in the studio after the game said hisprice has just risen to about 3.5m all be it i think a deal will not happen until the summer.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Any rumours of selling Ki went out the window as soon as we heard Kayal was out for the rest of the season

so ed who was the better striker ano mine so wot wot wis urze and do u agree that with rangers was boyd the better striker coz he scored the goals with 2teams while henrik with the hoops,if henrik wos in scotland with another team he would haf scored hunners more until celtic signed him so he might not have (boyd) stef1967beat it so who doe you think? {Ed007's Note - There is no argument. Larsson was different class to Boyd. Even any honest Rangers fan will say that. Boyd was a great poacher and had five more years than Henke in the SPL. Anyone who knows anything about football wouldn't even need to question this, cyberslap your bro from me :-)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

This shouldn't even be a discussion. boyd shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the legend that is Henrik Larsson

I know most Celtic fans (me included) want the board to cough up for two decent signings. But I read an interesting article looking at it from Peter Lawwell's perpextive.
If the board spend say £6m in January, without either selling or being guaranteed Champions League football next season. They are putting out not only this money, but signing on fees and also committing to big wages for next 3 years.
If we only get europa league money next 3 seasons allied to dwindling crowds we could put ourselves back in debt.
When Lennon came in and made all the new signings he financed it by firstly selling players.
We need to either sell players or hope we make Champions League group stages next season to cover our finances.
When you look at it like that, you can understand boards reluctance to spend big money. Timalloy

Believable1 Unbelievable1

The Celtic board have done and are dong an excellent job. This is a good article by Timalloy that shows how they have to consider the longer term view. It's easy to say that you have to speculate to accumulate, but at the end of the day, only one team gets Champions League place. If you look back at the hostory of Leeds Utd, they are where they are now by spending too big and being caught out. Within the next few seasons many top EPL clubs will be found out and could go out of business. {Ed007's Note - First and second place both enter the CL at the third qualifying stage next season.}

So it looks like Bangura is off after barely kicking a ball. Heard that the deal to bring Bangura to Celtic was similar to that of Tevez at West Ham in which the club didn't actually own the player outright and that his registration was held by a third party. Something wasn't right about this transfer from the start especially when we could have signed Diawarra, who had a far superior scoring record, for the same fee which was reportedly paid for Bangura. And before anybody says we couldn't get a work permit for Diawarra it's common knowledge that we didn't even try. Looks like Lawell and co were trying to pull a fast one on the faithful with this one.

Hail Hail.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Can you firstly explain what the "fast one" was that the board were trying to pull and then let us know why they would do such a thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Problem. The 'fast one' would be the pretence that the board put up £2m for a striker to strengthen the squad but I seriously doubt they would pay that if we didn't hold his registration. Why would they do this? They would do this to give the impression that they had made reasonable funds available to Lenny to invest in players. It's Simple really!

evenin ed a we clip from the daily ranker hotline sayin is it true kris boyd turned down rangers because he gets £46 a week on the doleand wouldnt take a pay cut lol,stef1967

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Craig Shyte

"He hopes "Rangers Football Club Plc" could survive any administration event but feels it would not be the end of the world if it didn't."

so, that's him pretty much admitting administration is going to happen......finally, the truth lol!!

this rag-tag bunch of cheats and con-men are pure comedy gold

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I've read the post and fail to see the part where he admits it WILL happen. If he had said "Rangers WILL survive administration" then you may have a point. He says they COULD, which means IF it happens!

Here Edd why are you no sticking it to all the rankers fans about the tax n money stuff?You have been saying it since I have been coming here and everything you said is happening.Have a gloat big chap {Ed007's Note - I wasn't 100% right, I said McCoist would be gone by Christmas. It's not my style to gloat over stuff like that, beating them on the park and the odd wind up is fine but I'm not one to gloat like that.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seems ED007 is a better man than I give him credit for. Some of you could do well to follow his example!

Good afternoon ED007, Mrs E, looking forward to Peterhead game, heard their pitch is good and is quite big, so good for our football players.
Just a thought, I know it will not happen, but would it not be nice if Celtic waved their share of the gate money (5000 capacity) and let wee Peterhead keep it all. after all Celtic will receive tv money (£80K?)
It would be a nice public relations gesture. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Afternoon Tim.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Afternoon Tim...i'm sure the Blue Toon will do quite nicely out of Celtic's visit but that would be a nice thing to do.

I'll have to make do with the TV scraps seen as we only have one home game this month..oh & our semi final at Hampden ! Hopefully an early goal tomorrow.. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm from Peterhead, it's safe to say Peterhead are milking it for tomorrow's game and why not? But when they start charging £150 for a match ticket and mince and tatties that's a we bit to far, pitch looking good tho which will suit us

lol..Noel Gallagher on Soccer AM ripping into Man Utd fans. Highly amusing Mrs E {Ed007's Note - It's shocking lol I'm a massive Oasis fan as well. It's the only 'modern' music I like.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Did you see Allan McGregor as well, must admit he was good as well ! Naismith - a 'wee sweety wife'...

I love Oasis, their solo stuff is alright but just not the same. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Some of Liam's solo stuff lyrics could be wrote by a 15yr old.}

Agree0 Disagree0

HNY ed, all.
You weren't at Loch Lomond back in the 90's were you ed, week before Knebworth ?
That was A1 mad !
Lads on the Buckie at 10 in the morning. And drugs buried in the park before the gig, then uncovered during it.
Some lad gave me half a bottle of Buckie followed by poppers. FS, my head was wrecked. But I always remember Black Grape on, and singing "My Daddy was a Paddy". Crowd went absolutely mental.
What a weekend that was.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Yeah KB mate, I was there for the weekend. Saw them for the first time at T in the Park when it was at Strathclyde Park many moons ago. Also The Barrowlands, Murrayfield, Hampden and the SECC. Had some crazy times back in the day.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw it as well ,made me wonder when Shagger was asked who's the hardman at club ,his reply was Mcculloch who he says likes a tackle and a ""follow through""" yeah then rolls about like a wimp making out he's the injured party!......DH

Agree0 Disagree1

I still get flash backs of that hangover. Lol.
I wonder what the good burghers of that little village thought, being invaded by 40 odd thousand lunatics each day. Lol.
That little pub down the road from the park there wouldn't have been complaining though.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Didn't that run out of drink at one point?}

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw that as well DH... lol. How appropriate he's now banned, was a bit of a 'cringe' moment - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

I dunno, I was bolloxed by the afternoon.
I remember having a carry out, sitting on the grass verge over the road, so maybe.
Did you have an Oasis haircut ed ? Lol.
I did. With me Massimo Osti jacket on. Lol.
There was a brilliant little shop in a lane just off St Annes Square in Manny.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - No mate lol Since I was about 14 if I let my hair grow to more than a couple of millimetres it starts to look like one of the microphones they use for outside broadcasts!!}

Right bhoys and ghirls team for tomorrow? Here's my guess:
Forster

Cha
Wilson
Mulgrew
Izzy

Mc Court
Wanyama
Brown
Ledley

Stokes
Samaras

Subs who hopefully get a run out:
Zaluska
Foster
Mc Geouch
Rasmussen
Rogne(unlucky not to start)

Matthews injured
Commons injured would have been perfect game for him
Bangura injured as above
Hooperman injured

We'll play the nice football HOPEFULLY get a goal or two then get rasmussen on and let's see if he can be that target man and prove many wrong

Believable0 Unbelievable0
