Would fans on here support a boycott of everything to do with the sfa?
By that I mean ANY game played at hampden until reform is made in the corridors of power?

Believable7 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 22:09:29
We would all love to see an end to the hypocrisy and cheating; but It's possible most Celtic fans would not want to sacrifice supporting our team (who play a lot of games there) to hand a big advantage to opposing teams (and their support) who would be facing us for trophies.
I know that the SFA are a corrupt and biased shower of charlatans who currently ride roughshod over us and favour Sevco at every turn, when they're supposed to represent and govern EVERY team in Scotland with integrity and honesty; but until there is a serious, substantial backlash from ourselves and several other member clubs, the SFA, SPFL and the Lanarkshire Referee Mafia will get away with virtual murder.
Ably assisted by the warped, slanted Sevconian Media outlets.

Tennis ball protests in live games would bring the whole thing to a head.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 23:55:47
We should boycott all away venues and hurt the other teams SFA an spfl where it hurts them the most in their pockets see how long the TV wants to show games with empty stands.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 07:14:46
The only way to get change is fans to unite and take action. Even If Celtic try to do something they have no support of other clubs.
But fans like ourselves and the dons seem to fight for a common goal
It may hurt us short term but the long term benefits outweigh that for me.
Stay away from hampden, stay away from away grounds and starve the sfa and other clubs until they are forced to do something.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 09:10:47
The majority of member clubs should unite to force change. Some of the decisions this season alone defy belief. The hypocrisy from Gerrard is comical, he ridiculed Steve Clarke during the week on the treatment of referees and how difficult a job they have etc etc then his club go and appeal a red card for a serial offender which was a stonewall red card every day of the week.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 09:49:28
What or who would it take to report the SFA to UEFA for match rigging, because that in essence is what they are up to.
I’d even contribute to crowd funding to take this on because this is getting effen ridiculous. Fraud is being perpetrated against the paying public something needs to happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 09:51:35
I am incensed too at the level those cheating barstewards are stooping to to help their team, but, if we were to protest with tennis balls etc it would be used to divert away from their cheating and try to show us as the wrong party.

The club need to make a statement. Especially if Simo gets penilised and that utter can’t McGreggir gets away with it again.

Let’s face it, Morelos is walking. That’s where we are in operation stop the 10. They are cheats to the core.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 14:17:15
We need the backing of the other clubs if we want to see change. That is why I don't think boycotting away games is an option. However, I do agree that fans have to be united and take the initiative.

My suggestion is that collectively we agree upon what we want to change and draft a manifesto. Once that is done each group of fans need to build support within their own club. The next step is to contact their club and tell them they won't be attending matches, won't be buying season tickets or merchandise unless their club uses its position to get the changes we all want to see.

This tactic has already proved successful when we influenced our clubs to vote against letting sevco start out in the spfl.

The question is do enough fans want to see change and are they willing to put in the required effort.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2019 14:19:59
You only need about 50-100 people to make a tennis ball protest effective. We could get that many tickets in the home end of every away game that Sevco play and disrupt their televised games. I think one or two of the other teams (Aberdeen, Hibs, possibly St Johnstone, Motherwell) might support us in this and then you might be able to force some real change.

Excuse my ignorance guys but how does a tennis ball protest work?

First game I’ve been to in a few months. thought he done well but both him and weah were reluctant to take there man on and run at them. lot of times we got in promising positions but they turned back. the first proper time he got to the by line we scored from it. looks a player but, nice and composed! Once he’s up to speed he’ll keep getting better.

We must do all we can to tie Burke up fulltime he is a cracking player and clearly loving playing for Celtic. He hasn't even even played any major games yet and I think he will relish skelping the people in paradise and experience the awesome European nights at Parkhead.

The business done in the transfer window was nothing short of excellent so we'll done to the manager and the board.

I pray we get to keep Timo and Toljan as well for next season. Securing Broony to help bring the 10 home and managing to keep these loan stars for a full season or 2 would be terrific for uir club and our supporters.

Hail Hail.

Nick wba paid 15 mill for the boy we've no chance unless they drop there price or we do another loan.

Burke is a cracking piece of business as is Weah. Both have started better than most could have wished for. Would love to see both back next season and we should do everything within our power to make it happen ( although I’d imagine getting Weah back might be more achievable than Burke) . Same with toljan, he looks a very good RB, hopefully these guys love the place so much that could help in any future dealings with them and they’re respective clubs.

08 Feb 2019 14:16:41
I'd love to see the players we currently have on loan have their deals extended but given the shocking tackles our players are having to put up with week in week out, I can't see this happening if the players are being watched by their parent clubs. If nothings done about opposition players continue to get away with what could well be career threatening tackles, it could also hamper our clubs attempts to bring more quality players in on loan in future I'm my opinion.

Saw the Mcgregor tackle in the Aberdeen game, flying in with studs raised, absolute shocker and lucky he didn't make contact or that could have resulted in a serious injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 19:16:36
Either Celtic speak up about lack of protection from officials or we're going to need two first team squads to win 10 titles in a row. This has been gathering momentum for two seasons consider treatment of KT and Brown et al over that time. Brendan is probably too nice a guy but the players should be sent out for the next games against Aberdeen, Motherwell and the team the old Rangers fans now follow to take no prisoners supposing it costs us a few cards be they yellow or red. No more Mr Nice Guy we're up against institutionalised anti-Celtic and anti-Irish and Anti-Catholic sentiment here Brendan. On a side note if I was a sheep 🐑 or a lamb I'd be taking my posters of Wullie Miller off the wall after last nights comments regarding McGregors challenge on Ferguson which sounded like a script drafted in the 166 club in Airdrie.

07 Feb 2019 22:16:03
My only problem with BR is his easy going, polite manner to an obviously hostile media with loaded questions and fake interest.
He never gets involved in any of the controversy and cheating that goes on - sometimes right in front of his eyes.
There;s a time to be Mr Nice Guy and a time for straight talking and calling it the way it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 22:37:18
We already have 3 first team squads as we have 3 players for most positions.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 17:26:41
Just seen there that Jozo is in the dock for coming together with Shaw.

I’ll guarantee you what will happen is Jozo will get off but so will they two thugs McGregor and Morelos and this will be their way of taking the heat off by letting our player off the hook as well.

Is getting so blatant… not even trying to hide it now.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 18:18:14
No doubt Morelos will get let off and sevco will get 2extra league games at the end of the season against the top 2 sides in the championship as compensation for refs victimising him haha have I went too far.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 18:31:00
Maybe not too far 😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 18:40:48
That's exactly what will happen Tompo. It's getting that predictable what happens when The Sevies are concerned that Timalloy is making a fortune at the bookies with red cards, yellow cards and penalties. Wonder if they"ll take a bet on the outcome of the appeal 🤣.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 20:11:23
Has McGregor even been cited.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 20:33:15
Morelos will get away with it because they've set the bar with the brown and ralston incidents.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 21:30:03
never know? They have 3 easy enough matches next they know they could easy win without HIM. So why not give him a suspension now to hide up the fact there not going to let rangers get away with if at much. Which in a away makes sense in away. Look I don’t know I over think sh1t and had couple J’s maybe just being PARANOID! Lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 17:26:05
So the compliance officer is reportedly looking at jozo's challenge on Shaw last night and sevco have appealed the Morelos red card and there's no mention of McGregor's challenge on Ferguson wonder how the rest of this week will pan out be interesting to see which of these players will be available for the cup games at the weekend or maybe I'm just pre empting my own paranoia.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 22:28:01
Morelos is a nut case, McGregor has got away with his fouls about 4 times this season, once against Motherwell, twice against Aberdeen, and once against Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 17:22:57
Thought we did great last night as Hibs came at us I thought we coped well. New right back gave us plenty of options we never had under lustic. When Johnny came on he was all over the place. like the rest of you guys brown was great but that ten mins at the end of the game his passbacks where causing problems old brown appeared again. but as for MOTM? should have went to calmac IMO. HH.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 18:28:06
McGregor for me too. In fact, if he doesn't get player of the season this term then somebody is about to go on an amazing spree in the run in.

Sky sports news logic today : man City go top above Liverpool who have a game in hand, is the league over for Liverpool? Rangers remain 6 pts behind celtic iin the title hunt for the spfl!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 16:37:26
If we were 15 points clear with 5 games to play Sky would no doubt say Sevco were still in the title race.

07 Feb 2019 14:13:22
Hope I don't jinx him, but I've got to say how good Bain has been.
He has come in after the break, with only, mostly Cup tie experience, but has had six shut-outs in a row now and last night, highlighted his excellent distribution, with every single kick finding a Celtic player.
Still not a fan of the passing about at the back, but it obviously ensures we keep possession and with Bain there is a calmness and confidence missing in Gordon.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 16:44:34

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 14:01:13
There's a stat showing that Celtic need 121 touches in the box before being awarded a pen while sevco only need 65 go figure.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 15:07:18
I'd be interested to see as well, how many opponents each time has had sent off this season as we have received no protection at all from the establishment with several injuries as a result.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 18:49:40
Only one player has been sent against Celtic this season and we were leading 5-0 at the time.
Its incredible considering we have been the victim of 9 off the ball incidents.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 22:24:03
I think statistics like that on their own don’t show a very clear picture. When you couple that with a possible case of slight establishment paranoia it adds weight to the conspiracy theorists out there. Your pool isn’t big enough. To paint the correct picture you would need to display that stat but with every team in the spl at least and then if it’s as stark as that then you might be onto something.

I’d like to add that IMO there have been massively inconsistencies in refereeing across the entire spectrum of teams games I've watched or listened to but in particular against Celtic I’ve been particularly peeved by the frequency and magnitude. Something is fishy alright.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 10:40:00
Good result and performance last night all round. Brown was absolutely terrific and Toljan gave us so much energy down the right - I got a bit of stick last week for saying Lustig doesn't have the legs to do a shift like that anymore but I stick by it, especially after last night. Some nasty challenges from both sides as well, which isn't great to see, but overall very pleased to see us going quietly about our business while all the others are in uproar over penalties and red cards.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

07 Feb 2019 12:33:18
That's the big difference Kev. Said for a while you see that ability to get up and down on Tierney's side and if we had something similar to that on the right then it'll take the whole side up a notch. He looks really composed at the attacking end of the field too.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 12:33:46
I said in the 'chat' last night that Hibs were well fired-up and if they coulfd be bothered putting that much effort in every week, who knows what they could achieve?
Broony was immense, but lucky with one challenge in particular not to maybe see red; however the assault on Izzy was ridiculous and Thomson failed - like all the rest - to punish and protect our players.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 12:57:26
If lustig is struggling so bad to get up and down how come he has one of the best goal assist rates this season?

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 13:18:51
After a game and a half the difference is there to see lustig has been a good servant but he needs replaced.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 14:06:52
@Kev83 - You seem to be particularly passionate about this topic but please don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say Lustig was struggling to get up and down, I said he doesn't have the pace or energy to perform the role as well as Toljan over 90 minutes and I think last night made that pretty clear.

OAB - The tackle on Izzy was definitely a shocker but Broony also had a bad one at the start of the second half and Jozo could have been in trouble for nailing Shaw with his forearm. It wasn't one way traffic.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 16:21:35
We have seen toljan for a game and a half. Though he looks promising the same stuff Was said about gamboa at several different times. Time will tell.
My major point about lustig is yes he is not as good as he has been in the past but he is also not as bad as some Celtic fans make out and is still contributing a lot to our team.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 16:32:00
Like a few others on here, I feel Lustig has slowed down a bit too much to keep his place regularly now we have the new lad. I wasn’t at the game last night but by all accounts he had a great game. The problem with Lustig isn’t going forward it’s getting back quickly enough to defend when the play changes quickly. A few teams are actively pinpointing him as a weak link for us . Father Time catches up with all footballers unfortunately, if it didn’t we’d still be playing Danny McGrain.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 16:34:11
Good European teams are now targeting Lustig because they know he is the weakest link in our defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 17:32:54
Agree 100% about Gamboa, you can have pace to burn but if you're not very good then it doesn't make up for it.

OAB my old man always told me to judge a player from Scotland on how they do against Celtic.

Do they cause us problems
Do you hate seeing their name on a team sheet
Answer to all 3 is no when asking about mckenna.

I pray we can get him for another season.

07 Feb 2019 08:14:22
I think he has the potential to be in that class.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 09:50:09
If we were able to sign all the loan boys it would step us up that bit further. That’s the class we should be aiming for and it’s not unrealistic to see them back. Recent interviews show there love for the club already. If we we’re able to find the funds for these transfers it would be a no brainer. Squad is also going to look a lot stronger come the weekend. Ajer back, Edouard, Ntcham, Izzy, Lustig.

Just need Griff, Forrest, Rogic, Benkovic, Tierney Back. Our squad looks very good depth wise.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 10:46:10
The link up play last night was slick. When French eddy gets in the mix we have some front line. Shame for bayo but even BR wouldn’t have sent him on as a left back.

Johnny Hayes is definitely not a left back, but fair play he will probably just be happy to get on the pitch. Gave the ball away plenty though.

I said on another post about building the post broony era team around calmac - his running and movement last night was sublime. Some player he’s becoming.

Bain - solid passing
For me Ajer offers more than boyata.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Surely with it being his 4th red this season (which should be 5 if you count his baw booting of Broony and Ralston) he should be facing a lengthy ban . I"ll no hold my breath tho.

Noticed that as well. That was a career threatening tackle on his old team mates nephew and like you say, no action will be taken.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Feb 2019 11:31:17
Morelos is a thug and I have not one doubt in my mind his career will be ended early due to a retaliation tackle.

If this alledged Turkish club bid had been true and he was away, he wouldn't get away with half of what he has done here. League is a lot more physical and seems to be a magnet for hot heads.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2019 22:31:10
