{ed's note - you need to stop believing what amounted to Roman propaganda regarding the Hunnish people. They were not intent on tearing apart civilization at all, nor were any of the barbarian peoples that bordered the Romans. It was purely propaganda of the kind that we face these days regarding Muslims etc.}
Apologies. Lesson learned.
Ben Bhoy 1916 {ed's note - sorry, I was on my high horse a bit there, I just think it is a shame that we judge everyone by Roman standards. The fact that to call someone a Hun or barbarian is seen as an insult just seems unfair on those peoples. They were just at war with the Romans and it is not good to put your enemies on a pedestal!}

I have 3 favourite games 1st was 1979 when we beat rangers 4-2 when 10 men won the league, 2nd was i think 1980 when johnny doyle scored in a 2-0 victory over real madrid and last but not least was in scottish cup final win over hibs in st martins first season because this was the first time i had ever seen us win the treble.

The whole of the centenary year was special for me.
happy birthday dear celtic was the chant.
celtic 2 hearts 1 and celtic 2 dundee utd 1 in the cup, both these games where great, nail biting stuff.
and who can forget the maestro`s world class pass that spilt the gers wide open.

All I'm gonna say is that I appologise if I offended anyone by the word orc. As I said, I genuinely meant it as a lord of the rings term. Please don't call me a biggot when you know nothing about me. 3 years ago at my wedding, my best man was Church Of England and 1 of my ushers a Protestant. As for the word hun, if you look it up, you will see that the people were a tribe of barbarians who were hell bent on tearing civilisation to pieces and judging from some of your fellow supporters in manchester, this is quite a good description. And as for my 1916 tag. The reason it is there is nothing top do with football and everything to do with the fact I'm proud of my Irish roots. It is the date that my ancestors finally rose against there oppressors. If you think, the fact I'm proud that my ancestors cast off the shackles of oppression is rasicm or bigotry, then you most also think that any black people who are proud that there ancestors fought against slavery must too be rascist. And I know this isn't all you gers, but to those who it reflects, please don't play the race/bigot card when you know you will go back to Ibrox and singing songs about being up to your knees in Catholic blood, or ftp, or the famine song.

yes jackie got 4 goals, that was after there manager said he was not that good, andy walker scored the other one. the only thing wrong with that game was we where put out on away goals. i was gutted at the time.

For me the game that stands out most has to be celtic 5 partizan belgrade 4, i was in the jungle that night and the crowd swaying was unreal.
both teams played great attacking football.

To GTID
i understand full well kids read this page.
the word has been described as a big ugly monster by us celtic fans, this is child friendly.
i can`t defend the H word and 1916 is to do with history. i don't see the point in draging this on, when it has been already delt with.
the subject should be closed by both side and we should move on.

Re idiots like ben
as far as i am concerned ben bhoy came forward with his meaning of orc, he did not have too do this. that sould have been the end of it, but no you want to drag it on and play the hard done by card.
well you have lost any sympathy i had in the matter.

Re: yeah well u need to understand its difficult to believe wen he already uses the "hun" term "orc" then the 1916 tag. If you really believe him then your as niave as hell.

and this was never any hard done by card son, if you read the full arguement you would have known why it was brought up. Young kids read this page everyday, you think this is the sort of thing we should be passing on to them ?! instead of trying to sweep it under the rug or dismiss it all together a simple don't bring that kind of talk to these pages would have been suffice.

it seems that your fans don't agree however which is a shame as it paints a bleak future for our fans (on both sides unfortunately)

Re scott

yeh a watched the hearts game and fair doos big kyle did win his fair share of headers but who in the celtic squad has the same ability as him in the air i can't think of anyone so no need to panic bout that hapening. did you see the hamilton game any ball on the ground and the defence was running around like women running from spiders that big sweedish defener looks good tho but if he gets an injury that is yous totaly buggerd in defence and that is whare celtic have been awfull for years loovens is as good a defender as samaras is a striker just running around like a headless chicken. king kenny and weiss will run them ragged whilst the best yous have just now is maloney and whitiker will deal with him no bother.

Ben bhoy 1916, knows fine well what an "orc" is, and calling another poster a "hun", this idiot is an lying a* ehole who is trying to play the wum but no harm card, what the hell has his "1916"(date of Easter uprising by the IRA in Dublin) in his name got to do with football?

Re: i agree, unfortunately we get idiots like Ben all the time in Glasgow.

RE: Tam's response. .
Did you even watch the Hearts game, not a one header did they win against Kyle, comedy classic at the goal as well. We may have had some lapses and poor starts but that won't be a problem come the 24th. Keep your fingers crossed that Kenny (spent all his goal scoring credits for the year) Miller comes through the international break in safely.

Now Thomas keep it friendly my blue pal, there's no need for abuse between us. Here's hoping it can remain banter.

Cheers
Scott

To tam the bam
come on tam, lets get this banter going again.
let`s hear your views on how the gers are going to manage without jealavic.

With or Without jealavic rangers will still be to strong for a team who wer ripped appart by a small team like hamilton for the first 20-30 min of the game. the gers havent even got started yet we have been to pitodrie easter road and tyncastle 3 of the 4 toughest places to go in scottish football and we have max points whilst you lot have struggled at home against the smaller teams. also rangers have been in that thing they call the champions lge wich if you are unsure of its european football something you lot don't know to much about lately and still won all our games in the spl. can't wait to see wee ginger one walking out of sceptic park with hee haw apart from his p45. and just to clarify king kenny will score two and weiss will run riot and big davie weir will have his deck chair out come the 24th.

To the guy upset about orcs
there you go, there is always two sides to a story, so if your nephew calls you a big ugly monster you can always blame us.
and to the the nephew am only kidding.

Re: Typical language from one of you lot, congrats ed the word "orc" has been brought to your attention on many occasions every time you "assure" us that it won't be posted again . . .

proud fans . . such a proud lot {ed's note - and many times I have been assured, by Rangers fans as well as Celtic fans, that it is nothing to do with religion but everything to do with Lord of the Rings.}

Thank you ed. You got it spot on. I have friends of all religions and I'm actively against racism and bigotry. My orc comment is to do with lord of the rings because we all know the rankers are big, ugly, horrible, yobbish monsters from hell.
