All this talk of tainted titles and spending money we did not have, investigations and allegations from all the other stone throwers at other clubs. But they have to ask themselves this. If Rangers had not started all this, if Murray and Souness had not got together , spent some cash and brought in stars, would the rest have bothered to bring in the likes of Larsson, Dicanio, Caddett & the rest? Would O’neil been at Celtic? After all he came in to stop Rangers , would there have been a need?
Celtics run to a Euro Final would never have happened. So I ask all fans of other clubs to think of the stars they have had at their clubs, stars that may never have come if rangers had not did what they did.
wibblyblue {Ed007's Note - But nobody is questioning how we managed to pay for these players, everything was and is above board. How big actually is that bag of straws you are clutching at mate, you sound pathetic now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Is that a bite? :0) Now now Ed i thought you were better than that. {Ed007's Note - A bite at what? You can't bite to stupidity.}

Agree0 Disagree4

Think about what i said. o,neil only came to Celtic to stop rangers, he was a fantastic manager who took you to a Euro final. he would never been even asked to do the job if not for Rangers. also fergus maccann would never have invested in you. But if all you can do is throw insults and name call then so be it, i still love you. one day you will realise that it is and will always be about the Rangers. xx {Ed007's Note - YAAAWWWWNNN!!!}

Agree0 Disagree4

Wim Jansen stopped rangers & Henrik Larsoon cost £650,000...

Agree5 Disagree0

Well if you want to go down that road, I think you have to thank Jock Stein.

Between 1965 and 1986, a period of 21 years, Rangers only won 3 league titles. Celtic won it 14 times during this period, including 9 in a row.

Stein also won the big cup.

It was Celtic's success during this period and Murray's desire to emulate Celtic by winning the European Cup that drove him to what we now know to be Financial Doping on an Industrial Scale.

Before you start, as Ed says, clutching at straws to explain your henious misdemeanours, get to KNOW YOUR HISTORY. It's enough to make you heart go Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh.

Agree10 Disagree0

Fergus McCann, God bless his wee bunnet, "invested" time and money in Celtic for the love of Celtic and a small profit. He was no money grabbing glory hunter and I don't think he knew who the tax dodgers even were.

Agree10 Disagree0

There are 2 differences here and those differences are we didn`t do anything illegal and we could afford those players so bye bye and thats you running out of straws,kb-bhoy

So you are all fed up hearing about the
Rangers tax case & ebts etc. Well it
doesnt look like that to me. Both on
here and the Rangers site, you cant
get enough of the story. So are
Celtic fans not guilty in helping to
take the shine off their own win this
season? {Ed007's Note - We tend to wait until we have actually won something before celebrating. It does seem that the 'mind the gap' jokes have dried up from Rangers fans right enough, any one any idea why? I haven't heard any for a while (it must be 3/4 months now).}

No Real KB mate I will be on the coke ;-) I'm not one for drinking or eating before the match to nervous! Away with LFC its a nightmare to buy a drink in the ground as everyone gathers around and sings there I remeber away at WBA getting swept away singing Sweet Carroll Nine lol. I have had trouble at Chelsea to Ed mate, but them lot only like a cheap shot, a gang of thugs attacked one of my mates from behind and when we reacted they ran away. The two times I went this season we took over there pubs lol so its they're nothing to worry about.

Just a little bit of info for fellow tims , rangers administrators are on a wage that on average amounts to £600 per hour per person, now there is 8 of them in there if my maths are correct and I know they are this works out at £768000 per month, they say they need to save a million pound per month and these people are the first to be paid and they amount to three quarters of this what is the point ?????

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree - if those figures are correct - it's ludicrous. Having said that £600 per hour seems excessive. I realise these finance types rake it in, but I doubt it's at that rate (and if so I'm on the wrong career path!).

£600 per day might be more realistic. It's no easy job but at the same time I still think £600 per day is ridiculous, and in their field (sorting out skint businesses) you'd think they'd charge something reasonable.

As for the point it's based on long-term survival of the business through whatever financial means is necessary and also helping with advice and planning to stay solvent. 700k this month can amount to a saving of several million for the next X number of months if they do their job properly. It's a short-term hit for a long term problem.

Agree1 Disagree0

£500 - £600 per hour is the going rate for the two main administrators (joint administrators). The fees for the other 6 will be less, I'd imagine around £200 - £300 per hour.

There will no doubt also be work getting carried out at head office.

In adition to this they will also require legal advice and that will cost anythingbetween £250 - £2000 per hour. If they require councel's advice this is £2000 per hour.

Agree1 Disagree0

Here, maybe Ally McCoist can ask the administrators to take a 75% pay cut.

Check they Armani suit pockets for Bookie Lines or Horses Heids in the hotel beds FFS!
Milan are doing a perfect impression of match fixers by the look of the 3 Arsenal goals and the amount of mis-placed and over-hit passes by AC players.
There will probably be another 3 goals at least in the 2nd half as there are few tackles being put in by the Italians and Van Bommel is on a red card.
Canny go Arsenal too and will never hear the end of this on the biased Sly Spurts for weeks.

Ed if Wylde and Celik leaving only scrubs £50k per month another £950k per month still has to go. Do you think the administrators are deliberately stalling the process to toy with us all and keep us tuned in? Perhaps 2 evictions a day until liquidation? They have certainly missed a trick by not airing the evictions on live TV...I for 1 can't wait for the DVD to be released

Mikey Bhoy

Believable1 Unbelievable0

They're looking for the players to agree a reduction to wages that will allow them all to remain until the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really see that working tbh....high earners to take 75% cut with mid earners 50% cut

Let's say, hypothetically, you earn £10 p/h but you're asked to drop to £2.50 p/h while your colleague who earns £6 p/h is only asked to drop to £3 p/h would you agree to this?

When you compare our team to AC's on the night its incredible what the players achieved, we had Troare starting! Enjoy the DVD mate never be another final like that one.

Hopefully you will have them both on Thursday then Ed I'm sure it will all go very well and you will be back running away at the away matches ;-) What do you make of what's happening on the Rangers front mate? Do you think the likes of Davis and McGregor will leave? Fair play to Whylde leaving so ordinary people can hopefully keep there job.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - Davis is rumoured to be one of the players that wants out, Villa, Bolton and Wigan have already offered him terms if he is allowed to leave. McGregor is a tough one to call, unless he is forced out I think he will stay until the summer and be sold. The thing is now that there are question marks over whether the contracts they signed in the summer are with Rangers or to a third party (a Craig Whyte company). Their wages might not be getting paid by Rangers as such, third party ownership is not allowed and could end up in further points deductions for Rangers IF this is proven to be the case.}

It is absolutely unbelievable how much of yous are talking about Rangers on here cant use just enjoy a run of success instead of digging deeper and deeper into our troubles it is grim and use are going to get what use want i for one would hate it too be Celtic in the mess just the same because we need our Banter and competition but come on lads use are coming across obsessed with Rangers enjoy it while it lasts theres no saviour for us so we start from the bottom and rebuild i hope one day we can get back too old firm competition every season challenging for cups & titles against each other lets face it would use rather it was Motherwell, Hearts and Dun Utd? I know i wouldnt Rangers & Celtic is what its all about ups & downs twists & turns waking up with butterflys in ur stomach heading to the pub with ur mates to see a Clash of Titans give the Gers a break use will soon realise
that there isnt more to scottish football than the Old Firm is the pinnacle of every season im lying if i say otherwise!

Jelly & ice cream tastes better with 100s & thousands of (Loyal Rangers breathing down ur necks once again in years too come use will go no further than 3 in a row!)

Larky Bear

Believable4 Unbelievable10

@Larky Bear; i see your point ,but you must realise this is the biggest story ever in Scottish football.Your fans are rightly proud of the titles won,this might be lowering that total by a quite significant number.There is also the problem of money won during these "two contract" year which will,i assume,have to be paid back.Then their is the UEFA problem,how might that end up? I will miss the games v rangers,as will 99% of Celtic fans,but justice must be seen to be done.Go and start in div 3,pay your dues and wipe the slate clean.And please,on behalf of every right thinking person,ditch the old songbook.There have been enough great gers players over the years to sing about.....green jhedi

Agree9 Disagree1

@larkybear what the he'll are you on about?? We shouldn't talk about poor rangers because they cheated us out of titles and cups for the pass 10 to 14 years. Who gives to fxcks a bout the old firm what is it only a game for each sets of fans to roar abuse at each other especially after last year couldn't care less if we never had to play rangers again. How dare you come on the web site to tell us that we should be talking about the mighty rangers. We all know that you's cheat in everything yous do. I hope we get justice to show the world the mighty Glasgow rangers for what they really are. You's go about saying this title is tainted when we went and won every point ourselves with our books in order. Good riddance. This is not the end this is just the beginning. Bigirishmac

Agree9 Disagree2

Larky Bear does make a significant point. Green Jhedi's focus on all the negatives of the biggest story in Scottish football (and it is) misses that point though. Without Rangers, Celtic are a fish out of water. The drive that makes both clubs what they are originates in the rivalry between them. WIthout Rangers, all of Scottish football will be poorer and Celtic will be adversely affected more than most. They already have a costs base that is relaint on the Old Firm rivalry and losing the income from these games will be painful. I'm sure the Celtic board are already preparing an emergency budget for next season on the basis that Rangers are not in the SPL. They would be foolish not to. For the record, I don't support either of the Old Firm teams (Wolves fan) and hope for the sake of Scottish football that this is resolved without shaking the status quo too much.

Agree2 Disagree2

Wolves fan;Celtic have been buying very wisely and structuring their under 19 side with great emphasis on the players stepping up.In a recent game our oldest player was our Captain,and he was only 25.Our first team has players who would represent major profit for us,if sold,and that will be our way forward i think.By selling one player every year for profit we can easily absorb any fell in revenue.You also must take into account this is glasgow,season tickets,despite what the press think,will not fall by any dramatic number.The gloating period will last till rangers win promotion to the SPL.Then there is europe,one season in the group stages of the CL would be a dramatic increase in funds EG; 3x53,000 + group money stages. hope you stay up mate.........green jhedi

Agree2 Disagree1

Green Jhedi; I believe that Celtic have been much more prudent than RAngers over teh last 20 years. The legacy of Fergus McCann I think and it's a pity that more clubs on both sides of the border don't follow that model. I would worry though that the absence of competition in the SPL will not be good preparation for the CL and that Celtic may find it hard to reach the group stages. The problem is that no team will fill the void left by Rangers. Nobody else has the pulling power in Scotland. By the way, we have no chance of staying up.

Agree0 Disagree1

@ Larky Bear
"Loyal Rangers breathing down ur necks once again in years too come "

Breath down our necks all you want but you'll be wearing a Hearts or Killie scarf as RFC will be liquidated , the newco WILL NOT be rangers .

Morning Ed..Just a wee question, If they get found guilty with the failed registration of players and the titles they unfairly won during that period are wiped from their record, will the team who finished runner up automatically have these titles added to their record?
Thanks {Ed001's Note - impossible to answer, it will be up to the authority in charge of each competition, ie SFL for any League Cups, SFA for and FA Cups and SPL for the leagues. They might just not award anyone the wins, it depends on how they feel. One thing I will say, there is no satisfaction in getting a trophy years later, it is a very hollow victory and not the same. But, if they have been found guilty of cheating, then the teams that came second do deserve the win. I would expect the leagues to be awarded to 2nd, in my opinion, but the cups, due to the fact that you would have possible arguments from every team they had knocked out on their way to victory, are likely to just be removed. But that is in no way definite, just a best guess really.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

To be honest with you I would not want any of their tainted titles I would rather they were just removed and left in limbo.

Ian(54 and subtracting)

Agree4 Disagree0

Agreed, have the titles taken off them and have the record books state 'withdrawn from winner'. That way generations to come will ask why they were withdrawn and they will be told of the mass scale of cheating and corruption within Rangers. {Ed001's Note - that is if the allegations are true of course.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Haha clutching at straws, you dont deserve the titles because you never won them

Agree0 Disagree4

I agree with poster above better to have titles withdrawn from winner to highlight cheating (if proven correct) although we didnt win certain titles I dont buy into the fact that we were cheated as such as I feel that we were the better team last few years and should have been good enough to have won
Welshbhoy

Agree3 Disagree0

If proven then im not interested in taking the titles let history tell the truth and leave it as withdrawn and void
