Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

06 Jul 2017 21:59:10
You know we have been linked with nearly every player recently, and everyone has went elsewhere is not supposedly wanting to move. So am taking with a pinch of salt. only rodgers knows who is after, we could be all totally wrong with every rumour, let's just sit tight, and hope that we keep all the current squad together, and possibly add a couple of key players. I think the difference this year compared to every other year is we can't compete with wages of the epl. simple. Let's bring our own in. give Ajer dalton a go.

Yeah, you are right Mick, it's only this season that we can't keep up with the premier with wages 🙈. In saying that I'm looking forward to seeing dalton play, because I've never heard of him. Was he the bouncer in road house. Maybe that's what we need, an enforcer 🤔.

Let's live in the real world, in no way will Rooney come to Celtic. his wages are ridiculous.

Rumours are just tactical bull. All the players that we are allegedly after, were we actually after them? Brendan never said he was after this one or that one. Yes the club will have checked on the status or registered an interest in many, but that doesn't mean we were actually looking to sign them. Brendan is a top person who won't ever come out and trash a player as rubbish. He has simply stated that this player or that player is a quality player, but never said he was in talks to sign them. As far as Rooney is concerned, it would be a great honour for him if he signed for Celtic, but he is not what we need and I would not be excited if he signed for us.

Brendan has signed Hayes and Benyu. Benyu is highly rated and top clubs in the EPL did their thing and offered twice the wages for this up and coming star, he chose Celtic over higher wages at top EPL clubs. This should show you that Brendan gets his man, end of.

All those rumours of alleged Celtic transfer targets opting to snub Celtic for smaller clubs is absolute rubbish. This is a ploy to set a mindset by the various media and bloggers that Celtic are not am attractive proposition and that average players are rejecting us. This is utter bullshit.

Stop living in the past with the old mindsets. Brendan is building an empire at Celtic, a legacy that stats from our 8 year olds right through to our senior team. Every player throughout the various youth ranks are now being groomed for specific positions to one day break into the first team. Thus creating our own world class superstars that means we don't have to be able to spend £100m to get one when Brendan had made them himself. Think of Celtic creating superstars of the same quality level as a Messi and getting a few years out of them then selling on for £100m, etc! You don't have to be Spanish, or English, or German to become a football master. You train and play anywhere in the world under the right coaching with the top facilities and bang you are there. You need only the desire and motivation. Football is like martial arts, the better your sensei the better you become. Brendan is am elite manager that can manage any European team he fancies if a vacancy is open.

Celtic are writing a era of history and I'm excited by what's going on. 😊.

Hi EDs I take after hearingDD interview on sky he said that decisions on players will be made after CL qualifyers so my thinking is that we have missed out on the player BR was describing then what are your thoughts ED?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I've not seen the interview.}

06 Jul 2017 22:05:23
I think DD was talking about if any players were leaving they wouldn't be sold until after the CL qualifiers are done.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jul 2017 23:07:54
I haven't known BR to come out with any signing info prematurely so far so would be surprised if he started now. He said something was close and, as usual, the press start chucking names at it and if they don't come here then it's a case of us "missing out".

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jul 2017 22:48:48
Yeah possible but have u heard anything about the possibility of signing someone wae pace and power that BR said we were close to signing ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - But he didn't really say we were close to signing anyone did he? He said he was hopeful.}

06 Jul 2017 23:56:25
Will c we have missed deadline to register players for this CL round although there is still the wildcard if we choose to use it but can't c it being needed.

07 Jul 2017 02:49:48
We don't need any new players for this qualifier, we will see who comes in before the next round.

07 Jul 2017 08:19:45
That's fair Ed but it was unusual for him to be so specific about an individual. In all honesty there should be no requirement for anybody new for the Linfield games.

See st Johnstone are out on there ear to some diddy team! An absolute embarrassment honestly.1st week of July and 2 out already! Cannot wait when the co effient changes to individual clubs instead of the whole country!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

06 Jul 2017 19:55:39
The country methods a total joke. Any English team in Europe almost automatically has a ridiculous co-efficient. Should be a free draw and knockout in both European competitions too.

06 Jul 2017 21:10:25
Lh, is it due to change to reflect individual teams?

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jul 2017 21:49:48
Is this definitely happening, Would certainly be a fairer way of doing things we are being punished every year because of the rest. A complete joke teams that finish 4th going in to the CL later than ourselves.

06 Jul 2017 22:08:56
the changes take effect from the beginning of the 18/ 19 season.

If the sories are correct that Boyata will be out for a few months, do we stick with Simonivic and Shviachenko and maybe have Ajer as cover rember also that Toure can cover also, or do we bring in another centre half.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

06 Jul 2017 13:32:10
The fact we've been after Duverne before Boyata was injured says it all Tim. I'd imagine there'll be even more of an urgency now. As for the Linfield ties, I'd go with Jozo and Erik. Not sure what's happened with Toure, the extra year was an 'option'; has he even been on the preseason trip?

Should've got the awesome Nathan Ake from Chelsea for 20 million before Bournemouth. What a terrible indictment of that sham of a league.

lukaku to manchester united, that will be dembele away to everton after the qualifiers then, desmond and lawwell will be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of getting more money that they will hoard and not spend.

Think maybe giroud will go to Everton mate and talk of Rooney to. while I'd love moussa to stay and hope he's here for at least another season, we can't knock back funny money for him. but I'd like to think Brendan would get a good chunk if he did leave to bring in a quality striker! But like u said with Lawell and Desmond it's hard to imagine that happening!

Agree7 Disagree5

06 Jul 2017 15:49:47
Jamesbhoy67 . U do talk a lot of rubbish for a Celtic supporter . U may realise that Lawwell and Lawwell want Celtic to be successful on the field as much as we do. However they have a more difficult role to play.

Agree1 Disagree9

06 Jul 2017 15:58:44
To be honest jb67, As soon as I seen the Lukaku move I thought that would be the natural moves too

But Yeah Giroud and Rooney bound so who knows mate? Another for ed though who piped up Rooney would end up @ Everton when we were making a lame case for us to go after him (y)

chris these two clowns have held celtic back for years with their failure to invest, did you not see the empty stadium during the deila years because of it? these clowns have banked a fortune with the sales of ki wanyama forster van dijk hooper petrov etc etc and putting nothing back into investment in the team.

Sorry I misjudged you Jamesbhoy67, I thought you were an ordinary Celtic supporter. I never realised until now that you must have knowledge working with transfer budgets and agent .
I as an ordinary fan have no idea how good The Celtic transfer managers are at their job . We can know with hindsight but any idiot would know that .

Just seen Hachim Mastour has become a free agent. I remember this kid being dubbed the next Messi etc. Now there's huge alarm bells as to why Milan have let him go, and why he didn't make an impact at Zwolle, but this kid can do anything with the ball at his feet, it would seem he just needs to learn how to play the game. At just 19, surely he's got to be worth getting over for talks or possibly even a trial, even if it means sticking him in the development for a bit and developing the tactical side of his game.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

06 Jul 2017 11:30:14
There must be a reason "the next Messi" has been given the boot. If he was worth nurturing I'm sure Milan would have.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jul 2017 13:44:09
Well that would be my main concern Kev. He came to the end of a contract though, and perhaps it was purely contractual differences between the player and club, perhaps he wants first team football, perhaps Milan just prefer other youngsters they have in his position, or perhaps he might have an awful attitude and whilst he can pull off an 'elastico' he can't pick the right pass. I don't know. I suppose you could ask why we would go for a player released by Ipswich, but not from Milan? If I had my fantasy manager cap on I'd be making some calls to people at Milan to ask some questions and possibly get him over for a look. It'll never happen though, stupid post sorry 😂.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jul 2017 18:47:51
Id consider taking him on a contract thst is similar to our academy players. If he accepted that there may be a bit of hunger in him. Then id lile to think rodgers will be sble to improve him. Who knows. Could well be a bargin for the right club and manager. The same as any yoing player.
