I understand its early in the window but I wish lawell would just put up a bit more money for a forward. I know we are trying to find " diamonds in the rough" but experience tells us it's hard to find these players in forward positions. He keeps on saying we are a champions league team but we won't even spend a bit extra ( not asking for 6-7 million pound players ). To strengthen our position to get there . In all honesty could u see any European teams worried about coming up against griffiths and cifti. We keep on being told we aim to be stronger after every window, but denayer was big shoes to fill and although he left on slightly bad terms guidetti would have been a decent option for Europe

Whinny, I do not agree with you, I take it you are referring to the new Burnley striker Vossen. Him and his agent played you and others on this site when both said a couple of weeks ago that if Celtic put in an offer they would both jump at the chance. Why would he want to come to a crap league, he just used our great club to advertise others. I for one don't really rate him as he would have been another Scepovic, not really wanting to be here. Vossen was crap at Boro last season and I for one am willing to support Ciftci if he does arrive. Hail Hail

Tam, I wasn't actually referring to vossen . I will support cifti, and I always thought he caused us problems last season when we played utd.My point was more regarding Europe where I think we would benefit from a more prolific forward . U very rarely find these cheaply and would probably struggle even for the 3/4 million figure I mentioned but we have been downsizing for the last few years and it would have been nice to get in a name we recognise who teams fear a bit in the European scene. I appreciate Italy still happen with 6/7 weeks left to go in the window, but sometimes speculate to accumulate . Anyway coybig
