Don't know his background, seen him play bounce games and for Scotland but never for celtics first team till Wednesday, touched on it then that he looked really decent in a disappointing performance similar to tonight, sits in the middle and try's to play, bodes well.

I made a point weeks ago that any player should be sold and required to move if the club wants them to as they are assets of the club. I see Ed replied to a post agreeing and that PL should be playing hard ball with players who don't want to extend. I totally agree. If hoops won't sign drop him like Kelvin Wilson was forced to do by Bluey Davis. If its good enough for Fergie to get rid of beckham or drop Rooney then drop GH. Bring in Watt or Atajic give the guys a chance. Hoops is good he hasn't scored against Barcelona though has he? Watt is a hungry young talent let's use it.

It's easy to say that until nobody can score and we're down to the last 20 mins and Hooper has to be brought on to try and salvage a point. As at Motherwell back in February.
Meanwhile McFadden is all over Wanyama and Matthews on his first competitive game for a year and motherwell win.

Everybody's going to have a different opinion on it, that's the beauty of football. Celtic will do what they feel is right and that won't please everyone either, if he's desperate to go then take the money if its at least 5mil, if he wants to stay but holding out for a decent wage increase then fair enough also as its a joke his contract is almost up and he's on 15k a week but he's not any less important to team than Brown, Samaras (dare I say it) Forster, and Ledley?! But in saying that we can't be held to ransom so again, yes sell him on but he should be round about the same wage wise.
The bit about Watt scoring against Barca was obviously tongue in cheek as the boys done nothin else. as is the reason for not featuring much since, can't train and big time Charlie since "that" goal, if that's your opinion on replacing Hooper then fair enough but you'll be in for a shock. As far as I'm aware from what I've picked up on, the SPFL is a given for the nxt wee while and We need to progress in the CL, have a harder job doing that with not replacing Hooper properly! Both Watt and especially Atajic could be special, but the board are, and quite rightly under a bit of pressure to help Lennon out for a change, if Hooper goes he needs replaced .Properly!

Just saw Ajax have taken young Bojan on loan from Barca! A cracking wee player - surely Ajax aren't paying bigger wages than us are they? {Ed007's Note - It is more than likely part of a sweetener for a player Barca want from Ajax, they have also let Cuenca stay in Amsterdam for another year on loan. Possibly it could be part of a deal for Christian Eriksen whom Barca have been keen on.}

I'd say the only time we would be linked with Christian Eriksen is in a dream team situation. One of the hottest young talents in European football for the past four years. He's been linked with 15-20m euro moves away from Ajax since he was 17 so I doubt it. Players got his head switched on though and would rather be playing first team football and adored by the fans than warming a bench at Chelski or somewhere else (Vinny Kompany did the same and went to Hamburg as he wanted to be a star rather than warm a Premier League bench). I'd say his time for a move to a bigger team could be soon, and as Ed says possibly Barça when Xavi is in need of more rest time. MgC

MISS HEARD OR INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTERARY

JAM PUFF against the clock"
Even further back there was a Scottish player called Asa Hartford who sadly failed a medical on a big transfer as they discovered he had a hole in his heart.
Two weeks later in a televised match the commentator came away with this cringe worthy comment " yes Hartford has always been a WHOLE HEARTED PLAYER"

Is it just me or has Gary Hooper changed his tune when he realised the standard of english clubs that are looking at him. QPR, Norwich and Reading are not the way forward for any player getting a game at Parkhead. I know he's a bit of a fans favourite but if you disregard the dark days of the mid 90's we have always had leading goalscorers and tbh he doesn't get near the top of the list. Either sign up or ship out cause Peter Laywell and Neil Lennon are far too shrewd to be held to rensom. You never know maybe he prefers watching the champions league games from his couch cause that's as close as he'll ever get should he leave.

If wee fergus was still running the joint GH would be shipped out. I also think that fergus would ask Neil why he sticks by these guys who are holding the club to the end before signing a new deal or not. I remember when there was a picture of wee McCann standing in the rain on a railway platform in dome obscure country going player shopping for Mark Viduka. If someone like that was at the helm now then although Neil has won trophies I think wee fergus would be asking questions and saying put up or shop out.

I know every one has been crying out for some one to fill the cam position but I think young rogic will make it his own this year with atajic coming into the squad also and commons able to play I think we need a right winger with common and sammy for the left and Forrest out considerably with injury any thoughts?
