I read an article today about Griffiths, yes I know the papers will probably have embellished everything, but it seems Griffiths is denying he is the father of his ex girlfriend's baby, and apparently took the huff because girl went to the papers and took back a car she needs to drive her other children to school.
Poor and petulant by Griffiths, and if he is the father, the club should make him face up to his responsibilities, I will call him what he is A DEADBEAT DAD.
Get it sorted Leigh.

tim uve started by saying u know the papers probably embellished it! No probably about it! The papers talk one load of Shoite! Think we should concentrate on what he brings to the team and let him get him get on with his personal life! And to call the bloke a dead beat dad for Shoite uve got from a paper says more about you than him!

Guys I stand by my post, we all know Griffiths has previous of fathering babies with different women, he only started paying up when he was embarrassed in public.
If this baby is his, which he has NOT denied, I say pay up and be a proper dad and stop embarrassing yourself and Celtic Football Club.
Big Jock would have "clipped" more than his ears.

What griff does in his romance life is down to him just like you and I tim he could go for a bloke for all I care or even have 10 girls on the go at once and how do you know he's a deadbeat dad do you see what he does or doesn't do for his kids? Maybe try and think before being that judgmental. We all like to think we're whiter than white don't we.

Who is anyone to judge a persons private life?
Does anyone know the full story? And it’s no ones business.
True story or not - Red top papers are a disgrace.

Away and don’t talk nonsense tim! Bugger all to do with the club! Like u said your getting your info from the daily rags! The same rags who said Dembele was on his way and the other day Man Utd are after KT, or any other pish they can think of to deflect from that shower of Shoite across the city! Yes the Wee man has had his issues but this to me is his private life and should stay that way! Hee haw to do with football!

{Ed007's Note - I think you'll find it has plenty to do with the Club. Players have a responsibility and were given a written set of rules by the manager himself about acceptable behaviour and what he expects of his players - being splashed all over the papers for being a mad shagger is unacceptable behaviour. It might only be a quiet word in LG's ear but the manager will have something to say about it.}

06 Jan 2018 21:09:49
A footballer who’s a mad shagger! I’m stunned! Is this really worth front page news? Like I said the guys personal life is his own! Usual paper talk and I wouldn’t give anything they say a second thought!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I didn't know it was front page news but if you're saying the story was made up I expect LG's lawyers to have a retraction and apology printed by Monday.}

06 Jan 2018 21:18:17
Ed I'm very firmly in the 'Let he who is without sin throw the first stone' camp given that ALL of us fall short of the benchmark. However when in the public eye and representing an institution such as Celtic there is a standard of behaviour that is and isn't acceptable. PS: I know nothing of the specific case nor do I wish to as I have enough to do looking at my own shortcomings.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not judging anyone either, JFP, I had my say about LG when we signed him and was delighted to see him knuckle down under RD and start to shine but if you're all over the papers for something negative you know the Club is going to get involved. To say it's nothing to do with the Club is a ridiculous statement. Do people think clubs don't punish players for things like drunk driving etc or is that nothing to do with the Club either?
Thankfully things have moved on since the NL days of threatening women with knives and Alan Thompson's drunken antics and there's now a code of conduct written by the manager and fully endorsed by the board.}

06 Jan 2018 22:30:57
Right. Clearly this winter break isn't working for us. 2 days in and we're going to town on each other over lg love life and fatherly notions. The lads an object of interest to kids everywhere, and represents the club in all he does good and bad. Plenty jobs out there would kick your arse if you bring negative attention. True or otherwise.

All joking aside the girls dad must be right proud of her and would LG trust Gordon enough to hold any of his kids without dropping them? A wouldn’t.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jan 2018 23:11:39
If he's denying kids their right to a father, then turning up unannounced at other kids parties, how does that make his kids feel. Not nice I would think. Put the effort in son n let your kids be proud of u.

If I remember right before Griffiths was signed there was a lot of people on here opposed to signing him because of his morality and now it seems that things have changed completely. I think its true that when we are employed our job requires certain standards. Griffiths is a representative of the club and therefore should act accordingly. I personally believe that he is a tremendous talent and would rather keep him than Dembele. He does however need to mature a little and take responsibility for his actions and to try in as much as possible to not allow his private life to tarnish the name of Celtic. I am reminded of a piece of scripture, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.....

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.....

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous......

The he without sin casting stones doesn't apply here, I'd bet my last £1 that Tim's never shirked his family responsibilities so for this particular 'sin' isn't he entitled to cast the first stone.}

griffiths is already on his final warning off lawwell due to his off field antics, lawwell is sick of the antics bringing bad headlines to the club and he nearly got booted out of the club for the way he had been carrying on at celtic, the union rep was called in so that he could be officially reprimanded that is fact.

@ed007
When I said let he without sin cast the first stone I wasn't being critical of Timalloy, nor was I judging him. The quote was directed s much at myself as to anyone else as I believe we are all sinners and should accuse ourselves not others. How can I be entitled to cast stones at someone for breaking the law just because I haven't broken that particular law, even if i have broken many other laws. It would be a bit hypocritical don't you think? . I don't believe any of us will change unless we recognize the need to change and in that sense Griffiths needs to mature, he has to recognize that he has a problem and seek help. He doesn't have to be strong willed etc he just has to recognize his weakness and trust in the Lord. I hope he gets it sorted forhimself but also for his kids sake.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't buy into all that 'he needs to get help' pish either, DJ it's just an excuse wheeled out when famous folk get caught nipping about. Oh so and so needs to get treated for sex addiction! Try telling that to a woman from Fairhill - they'll treat it by cutting of your banger when you're sleeping and show her pals how wee it is on Facebook while you're on the phone to your mam in the background screaming and covered in blood!}

07 Jan 2018 22:56:27
Are you speaking from personal experience Ed? 😂.

{Ed007's Note - I thought me including the word 'wee' would prove that I wasn't involved! My Mrs would look like Bridget the Midget posing with the world's biggest eel I'll have you know!}

Who the F sets out the schedule for our games. we had to play 9 games in December, then we get a much welcomed break of about 3 weeks. Then we play 5 games in 15 days, then we get 11 days off. Then we play 5 games in 14 days and get 9 days off. Then only play 3 games in the whole of March. Surely the powers that be could have scheduled this more evenly.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I’d imagine the gaps/ periods where we don’t play many games are spaces where Scottish Cup ties will be played. Schedule won’t be long in filling up again (hopefully! )

Ed I'm sure I read somewhere that young dembele's brother would be signed, don't know if it was an old story or whatever but do you think it may be a ploy to keep the wee man happy. Think the brother is at Oldham or something like that?

{Ed007's Note - Siriki Dembele had trials with us a couple of years back but nothing came of it. He's with Grimsby now.}

06 Jan 2018 17:39:25
He's doing pretty well at Grimsby and getting some attention. In the YouTube videos I've seen, he looks a cracking prospect.
