Elhamed away next day or two what a shame he was a fair player and if things were different he wouldve been great for us.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2021 20:54:54
Elhamed was a decent player for only £1.6 million.
He’s an Internationalist and he’s also versatile.
Elhamed got over a couple of slight knocks when he first arrived and he was starting to look really good.
But then he picked up a bad injury in Rome that kept him out for months.
His injury came at a time when he was playing his best football and he never quite achieved those high performance levels since his return.
He will continue to be an asset for his new club and country and I wish him well.

Good shout Rich and Buzz, I believe his family remained over in Israel - not an easy gig in the present circumstances.
Good Pro and best of luck to him in the future.

Another disappointing loads of potential player exit for me, but if they want to go, let them. But it’ll be interesting why?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 22:24:49
Decent but was at fault for a few goals in big games that cost us. Again, I've said it before if we are to move on we need better. Did he score? Did he assist? Apart from 1 game at ibrox Did he contribute defensively? No pass marks from me.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2021 00:00:35
I really rated him and could have been a great player for us if it had not been for injuries.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Feb 2021 10:43:55
Brutally honest here; I don't think he will be missed, as he was in and out of the side far too often with one thing and another (usually injury) and he was caught out 'Duffy style' at least twice in big games that cost us dearly. I agree he was a talented footballer, but the right back position has been a huge problem area for us and he was just another failed attempt to fix it.

Game of 2 halfs played well first half again wasteful with final ball second half vang average and the subs made us worse. baffling why take off a lb who's doing fine and bain is not the answer.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2021 19:49:23
I never saw the game today Mally but Bain has been awful this season and if it was me, I'd get rid of him and Hazard come the summer.

C’mon Scotland. I’ve never been much of a rugby man but an Irish company took us to Murrayfield a few years back for Scotland against Ireland and it was fantastic. The hospitality was better than anything I’ve ever seen at football. I was a bit confused with the opposition wearing green and singing the fields of athenry and me wearing blue though. What was even more confusing was sitting with a beer with the Irish fans having the craic. What was even more confusing than that was Scotland got a penalty to win the game and the Irish fans were asking for quiet among them. They were telling me there is always a good atmosphere between Scotland and Ireland and Scotland, Ireland and Wales but Scotland against Engerland is a different story. As I said I’m not a rugby man and don’t even understand the rules but anything we gub the Brexiteers at I could get into even if it was tidllywinks!

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 20:19:55
if the hospitality is as good as the number seven lounge at celtic park it must be good as i can't see by it win lose or draw.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 21:20:32
Shaw I’ve been in the No.7 lounge too which was excellent but honestly Murrayfield was something else. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been at the captains table I think they call it in the north stand and more recently had hospitality in the main stand and Celtic Park is excellent. Wee Bertie was sitting with us the last time what a laugh.

Used to see wee Bertie all the time in Baird's, what a character he is, fantastic.

07 Feb 2021 09:43:37
AGG he’s still as sharp as a tack for his age and as you say he’s a character and a half.

Never enjoyed rugby before but got to say never shouted at the tv so much in a while! c'mon Scotland!

Yeah Buddy it was a cracking Match, been watching scotland play rugby for years especially the six nations, hopefully they can keep that performance up.

Well done Scotland. As an Irish rugby guy my whole life it was great to see them turn over England.

Kick in the chest, wonder if that will get talked about much.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2021 19:36:40
He booted soro intentionally on the chest with malice 6 game ban.
Let's see what happens now.
It should have been an instant red card.
Gd game the lads fought for everything. Mother well put 3 up front but old Celtic came back and ripped them apart they thought our defence was weak big mistake it seems stronger.
Last 15 mins nerve wracking think we got tired but it's coming lads.
Turnbull coming if what's Lennon's idea of that. Griff can go rogic can go. We build around this team get a string bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 22:37:38
Thought the first half was excellent just couldn't get more, second half was good until they scored got a bit nervy, but a wins a win and a better showing, turnbull looks a player. Eddy starting to look good now although abiy too late. That kick in the chest was unreal, see how much press it gets cos if that was scott brown that done it im sure it would be rammed down our throats, also a elbow in there.

06 Feb 2021 17:27:23
Good evening bhoys, I didn't manage to see the game today. Another 3 points, not sure how convincing we were?
I read that Bain made a hash of a shot at the death that Laxalt had to clear off the line, unsure if that's accurate or not?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2021 18:41:55
It was a brilliant clearance by Laxalt and Bain did make a hash of it. Can anyone watching the game any idea what the foul against Soro which led to them almost scoring from was given for.

06 Feb 2021 17:13:07
At times Celtic played well today but in the end we rode our luck.
The pitch cut up badly as the game went on.
We were discussing in our household that when we make a few subs, we manage to get worse and the same happened again today.
Celtic bring on good substitutes and most are straight swaps but instead of stepping up a gear with fresh players, we look a shadow side.
Young Coatbridge Bhoy Stephen Welsh was a deserved MOTM.

06 Feb 2021 17:22:06
Buzz why did Taylor go off?

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 17:26:39
The substitution of Taylor was yet another head-scratcher for me - unless he was injured? He was having one of his best games and team was well balanced and in full control of a comfortable win.
However, I agree the changes often come in clusters, like an American Football game with players scrambling around trying to fit in.
We lost confidence and shape after their goal, but Soro made a very good contribution when he came on. All-in-all a relief rather than an expected route, after such a quick opener.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 17:32:54
Taylors been subbed baffled me.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 17:42:40
JFP
I just think it was a straight swap for Laxalt. No other reason.
I find it strange why we keep conceding when Laxalt is on the pitch because he isn’t a bad player.
But that’s Celtic won 12 out of 15 league games that Taylor has started and only 3 wins out of 10 league starts for Laxalt.
I was happy for Laxalt that he saved the day for Celtic but I was also thinking what was our left back doing on the right post.
It seems to be Laxalt just likes to follow the ball instead of staying in his position.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 18:07:44
There's no arguing with the numbers Buzz on the LB position this season. Bringing in Laxalt seems to be yet another head scratcher.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 18:25:10
Is there a clause in Laxalt loan where he has to play certain amount of games? Sooner he's gone the better.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 18:32:54
Sometimes l wonder does Lennon make some changes just for the sake of it. Turnbull going off made no sense again but he seems to take the lad off every game.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2021 21:54:48
Laxalts not a bad player buy he's also not a good player.

Hey my friends Enrico is happy with the ply today. Again very impressed with Taylor Enrico is becoming a big fan of his. Young welsh looking solid and great to see him score. Johnjoe looking a decent right back and much improved on frimpong.

Very impressed with Welsh and Taylor today they will be importante for Celtic next season.

ed007. just read that piece you put on one of my posts. very interesting indeed and i fully agree with him. what's your thoughts on the rumour part. something has not sat right with me either on how its went so smoothly for a certain club wile we have been completely destroyed with the situation going on just now and its definitely effected our squad and momentum i hope there is truth in this.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's more a conspiracy theory than a rumour and it's a bit far fetched but it is Scotland so who knows.}

06 Feb 2021 08:29:32
Ive heard that this so called review has been done all parties are fully aware of the steps moving forward behind the scenes the chest pieces are being placed and worked before they are ready to commence. Wee teasers may start to unveil near season ticket renewal time but only if initial numbers of renewals are under projected sales targets. But for the now hope we get a good win and performance today HH

Team could be

Bain
Kenny
Ajer
Welsh
Taylor

Brown
McGregor
Mio
Turnbull

Edouard
Ajeti.

All the best with your recovery Tim

I'm also recovering in isolation in holland after initially passing 4 CV tests in 4 days to go offshore A week later I started to become unwell and then tested positive. My experience is that I have got off a lot lighter than a lot of folk, but that doesn't make it any easier as I'm still feeling minor effects. Best of luck with the recovery Tim and look forward to hearing you have recovered back to full fitness.
