some great football again tonight, the passing and movement was great again, in particular between commons, stokes and ledley, also the overlapping by izzy and lustig was first class all night and two youngsters brought in, so all in all a good night . so onto January normally I would be wanting to see money spent but do we really need to, with pukki yet to prove he's a player fridjohnson coming in atajic scoring and balde waiting to be giving a chance .unless we are going to buy someone exceptional (and I don't think an injury prone james Vaughn is )should we not see what these bhoys can do first, this applies to all areas of the team with the likes of fisher coming in and doing well biton looking good last week and young Henderson and others on the verges of the first team, let's give these bhoys the rest of the season to prove themselves.,,,, deep river bhoy

Great performance, wining in a canter, but wee tossers throwing flares, wrecking stadium, a step too far for the gb if you ask me, giving us bad press, Lifetime ban for those involved. Jbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't we a much better team playing football on the deck . Slick inter passing and we are opening up defences for fun .lovely to see young kids getting a run out, and just to finish, all this without Samaras .Hes had his day and time to move him on . Hail Hail Vinciebhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great performance and game but yet again the gb stea the headlines for destroying the stadium and throwing a flair at our own keeper. Wtf is with these ppl, they are just thugs that want to do whatever they want.
So good job gj you make headlines again by usi g our club and stealing from the great performance everyone would be talking about, instead you shame yourselves yet again and continue to tarnish our name. Bunch of 2 year olds! Hope someone got arrested or caught in order for the
To be fined big time and may e then they will start to learn, but doubt it, they don't have a common sense in thier brain!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There has actually been no evidence produced that the GB were represented at the match as a group. Is it only the GB amongst our fans that misbehave?}

Ed, I think we all know it was gb, they even left stickers on wrecked seats, they defo think they are above everyone else. Celtic win very convincingly 5-0 and we're talking about them, totally taking the shine off a great performance. Jbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'll admit when I think the GB have taken things too far. But from what I have heard and seen points to a crowd of youngsters have nothing to do with the GB. The stickers you can buy, pick up from mates, passed out at games etc, I've got a GB hoody, that doesn't mean anything does it?
It's bang out of order whoever broke the seats and I hope they get caught and punished but you can't just assume who is responsible for it.}

If and that's a big if(which people always think its the gb because of thier behavior and thier past acting at games) it wasn't gb and youngsters as you say, don't you think they are teaching youngster how they should be at a game ED? The youngsters think that's how to act at a game so that's what they do. And as you say you can get stickers then is it not possible they are recruiting ppl/youngsters to become part of gb, to maybe do thier work for them? Maybe? It may sound like a streach but I wouldn't put it past them, cause get the new/young fans on thier side cause most of the older ones don't want it at the club. That way they have a bit more following in numbers and then have more to attack the club when the gb feels hard done by? Again maybe sound stupid or far fetched but they are there for themselves so it is always a possibility.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You may well be right, I'm not arguing about it mate. All I am saying is that everyone just jumped on the fact it was the GB with no real proof. I will say though that it should be up to parents/older siblings etc to teach youngsters right and wrong and how to behave at matches.}

@5-Give yourself a break pal, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone can buy GB merch (ie scarves, snoods, hoodies, jackets, bobble hats, caps, stickers, etc). Because a group of wee boy snap seats and throw smoke bombs (happened top + bottom tier btw) people automatically blame Ultras now? Anyone can get a hold of smoke bombs, anyone can wear merch + anyone can act like a knob at football. And btw, it's easier to identify the GB: They wear different coloured merch (caps are khaki, hoodies are black) from the stuff they sell to the local punters!

HamiltonBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I know you can't say for sure it was gb, but the ultras has to stop, sure it isn't as bad as the 70s & 80s, but needs nipped in the bud now, we'll see if gb will deny it, but it was same area Mandela banners etc was at, and I'm sure CCTV will have plenty pics. Jbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 Why should he give himself a break? because he speaks honestly on how he feels about the situation's the GB are putting Celtic into, I know who need's a break, the GB, away from Celtic.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

ED I notice you have not put up my other post regarding GB, is there a reason for that?
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - because 007 is not about yet, it has been held for him to deal with.}

Jbhoy "cctv" "lifetime bans" what a load of guff. You sound like a right clown, yes I called you an clown call the cops. pea

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does the GB think these stickers are going, in a GB scrapbook. Of course they don't!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye pee, I'm a clown, firhill, now firpark seats wrecked, with some wee needs, but that's ok is it, is that the Celtic we want, if your happy with that then so be it, I don't see anything wrong with lifetime ban for that, so that makes me a clown does it, you wee man need a word with yourself. Jbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 Ed I was talking to a let's call him a friend who is one of the GB and asked him what all that carry on was about, his answer an act of defience, not that's not the GB, if it was kid's why didn't the gb intervene, they must have known they would get the blame, the same as we tell PL to open his eye's regarding the purchase of better player's, some of us need to open their eye's regarding th GB, time to get rid of them in my opinion.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I have said a million times on here that the GB need to stay within the rules they need to face the consequences. So why do I need to open my eyes, you are trying to make me out as some sort of GB apologist which anyone on here will tell you that is ridiculous.
I have a very good friend who ended up having to go and pick their 13/14 yr old son up from a police station in Paisley because he was with another youngster that had been caught taking a smokebomb into St Mirren's ground, neither of them have any connection to the GB.
Have you ever heard the term 'No Pyro, No Party'? It's not just the GB that think smokebombs and flares should be allowed at grounds, their are other fans who think the same, their reason, whether you agree or not, is that clubs on the continent grounds are filled with them every week.
Why didn't you ask your friend that's in the GB why they don't intervene instead of asking me? I am not part of them so how can I answer that?Go and phone your friend back, ask him and get back to us with his answer.
What were the police and stewards doing last night, the damage is right at the front of the stand.
And why should it be the GB policing CFC fans, you are on here moaning about them yet you want them to police the support?
I wonder Tam, if you would have the minerals to go over to a crowd of teenagers and tell them to behave at a match? Or should that be the GB's job? Ask your friend about that as well.
You seem to know a lot more about it than some of us, I hope you have contacted the club to inform them of the information you have?
You could start a fan group that patrols the stands making sure CFC fans are behaving, I'm sure your friend in the GB would back you up, that's what friends do.}

@10 thanks for the answer ed 1, I thought any ed could put through a post but hey ho, if that's the way it work's
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Why would any Ed answer something aimed at a specific Ed?{

@11 Oh spare me the chidishness, so the man has an opinion differerent from you and we get the name calling, so the people doing wrong should not be punished duh, if they are all like you maybe they should be banned for stupidity
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@16 thomas - give yourself a break wee man, constantly moaning. Have you asked your friend these questions yet? If not go and do it and give the rest of us peice. As Ed said ask your gb friend who shoud be much better in the know as Ed states he's not part of it. Youd give an anadin a sore head, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Notee - I didn't want to drag your name into it KBarry but how many differences of opinion about some of the GB's antics have we had in the last few years? I wasn't trying to condone anything or back anyone up.}

@17 What's up mate, can you not face the truth about the GB, are you not one of their membership, can you not accept that I have as much right to answer your post's as you do mine, what do you mean give the rest of us peace, so you now speak for all supporter's who come on this site?.The problem you have, you don't want to listen to other's opinion's, what you should do is get a mirror and talk into it, then you will probably get the answer's you want to hear.
Tamthomasbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@15 ED My post did not put down a specific ED
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no but I was expecting 007 to be about just after and I am covering 80 sites and didn't want to get dragged into a conversation on one about something I have little idea about. I thought it best left for an ed with some kind of knowledge of the incident. At least he has some kind of basis to give an opinion from, whereas I only had ignorance to put forward!}

@14 ED at no time in my post did I even hint that you are an apologist for the GB, at no time was I aiming the comment, some of US need to open our eye's" at you, there are some poster's on this debate who think it's ok to smash seat's and throw smoke bomb's, they are the one's I am referring to, would I have the mineral's to go to a group of teen's, probably not if I am being honest.As for the GB policing Celtic fan's, I was not suggesting that, all I was suggesting is that if I was going to get the blame of something, I would certainly raise my voice againsat it. This person is not my friend as I said, " let's call him a friend". ED I would like to apologise if I have offended you with my post, it was not my intention
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You've not offended me Tam, don't worry about that. Likewise I hope I haven't offended you.}

@20 No probs ed, apologies also to ed 1, I thought you all ( as in all ed's) had an input to the site's
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We do (except me on The Rangers site) have access to all the sites to keep them ticking over, but if a post is aimed at a particular Ed we leave it for them to answer.}

Kris Commons must be one of us on here ed! I only give him a 6.5 on the ratings and you say CL is a step too far for him and and he turns in these performances, the man is on fire, bring on Barca! Might regret saying that

Another flawless display tonight, referee was a disgrace and he still couldn't stop another leathering being dished out. I'm just p****d off we never got the sevconians in the cup, I reckon we could knock 10 past any 3rd tier Scottish side. Stevie

The worst if not one of the worst referees I've ever saw, where does the governing body pick these guys from.

Ed, with Watt being out of favour in Belgium, do you think Celtic and Lierse could both agree to cancel the loan so he can be loaned to an spl team? With Aberdeen who were looking to take him on loan in summer, it looks like going there would be a much better option than having him playing in reserves or being stuck on the bench. That is of course if AFC or others were willing to take him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - CFC and Lierse would need to come to some sort of financial agreement before anything could happen. Lierse will have paid a loan fee for the whole season. Part of the reason he was sent to Lierse was to get him out of the Scottish spotlight and away from outside influences so I doubt the club would be happy to see him on loan at Aberdeen.}

Not sure if he played for Celtic this season, but if he did he can't play for another club this season. Will only be able to play for Celtic or Lierse.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's a good point mate and he has played for both clubs.}

Would it not be against the regulations to play for a third team in one season?

MgC

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The rule is you can register for three clubs but only actually play for two of them so yes, you're right mate.}

On the subject of Tony Watt, would it not be a great idea for him to go to Sweden and play for Henke? Not only would he be out of the goldfish bowl but learning from the King of Kings, not only on the pitch but also what it means to play for Celtic?
Obviously, the 2 club rule prevents that this season but he is still very young and think he can still have a future at Celtic if his head is right!
Thoughts?
Henke loaning a few of our kids could really benefit everyone, I think it is something we must seriously look at.

Vaughn will never happen ( Thank Feck ) we will never spend 6 million on any player we are in the best state we have ever been in financially and look who we buy second rate foreigners for 1 or 2 million ok with the lucky odd exception like Wanyama I just wish we would snap up the best talent that play in our country ie Russell, Mckay proven goal scorers in the SPFL low cost and low risk but with a proven track record.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with you there mate but how why not play our own youth
