Did anyone see the best goal scored in the last week? The Ibrahimovic strike for LA Galaxy was something else ( would put up video if I knew how to) maybe you could sort this out ED.

Goalies fault, being of the line.

Topper! Still doesn't beat Ronaldos overhead kick IMO. Noticed the crowd there, looks like a sell out. I thought soccer in the US wasn't that popular?

@Bigrab: As Zlatan said of Ronaldo good goal but try it from 40 yards.

aindoh, regardless of keeper mate. it wasnt a simple lob. He struck across the ball to curl it back the opposite way. Watch it from all angles mate.

Im hoping that there is little interest in Armstrong come the summer transfer window.
That combined with Celtic putting a very competitive offer to him. I think SA wants to try his luck elsewhere, however we must try and offer him a good deal to stay.

So here`s a question
out of these 2 players if you could only choose 1 to stay, who would you choose

Rogic or Armstrong.?

My choice: Armstrong.

whats your thoughts folks?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

06 Apr 2018 19:38:50
Rogic - has moments of world class, however they are moments and is missing quite a lot in games

Armstrong - More all round ability and can drop deeper than Rogic to help midfield. However no single ability that stands out.

Tbh I think with these tactics we need a CAM who can do both. Musonda was suppose to be the quick and fitter option for that position along with the skill. So we will see if he is up to it next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 19:53:52
I'd have to toss a coin.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 20:35:59
Both offer a lot of different strengths and positives and both can score goals - although I think Rogic has a gifted natural ability on the ball that is a joy to watch, whereas Armstrong has more energy.
However, there have always been stamina and fitness/ injury problems with Rogic and he tends to miss parts of a season, but I think Armstrong is less committed to Celtic long term and if Rogic was offered a more acceptable contract he would be easier to keep.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 00:45:46
I would have to say that I would rather have a fully fit Armstrong in my team than a Rogic, if it was a choice between the two, but I would rather play both.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 11:13:23
Rogic in my opinion, when fully fit has the potential to be an extraordinary player, close control, first touch, ball retention, passing, decent tackling. Love watching him play and usually gets involved in the big games with the goals needed.

Armstrong great two feet but can't ever see him more than a Steven Davis, good work rate but not built to be a box to box and at times lacks the heart to put himself about - get involved in a war line Broony.

Rogic is my pick. Could buy another Armstrong but find replacing Rogic difficult.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 22:07:30
Rogic is the most skilful attacking player we have . However he never gives us 45 mins of football. I think he is old now to have his full speed and stamina . To me good and all that he is, he doesn't give us enough to be a consistent starter .
Armstrong reminds me a bit of what I think is an old fashioned inside left, he can defend a bit, link up play but is excellent at breaking into the box and provides a good goal threat . His break recovering from hernia, seems to have brought him back to his very best form of last season .
I don't want a whole pile of speculation will he won't he, I just want a yes or a no in the summer.

Where is big sutty when u need him?

Every time, the fat cheer leader says something I think cannot be even stupider than the last?

Hold my beer!

Tonight's corker concerned hibs .

" hibs on their day are capable of beating any team! As they proved with their draw against Celtic 😲"

Do all deluded think a draw is a win?

Is he getting us confused by his own team who hibs have actually beat twice at ibrokes? 🙈🙈🙈

And no one calls this buffoon out or corrects him 🤣🤣🤣.

Timalloy regarding your post about the assistant for the semi final. The person in question is my son in law and I can assure you he is anything but a thug, I couldn’t have wished for a better person as my daughters husband. Regarding the incident you referred to my son in law was stitched up big time by his colleagues and was left with no alternative but to resign. don't believe everything you read in the press, and another thing he is not rangers minded as well if you were alluding to that. oldkilly.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 18:52:09
That's why we are paranoid ( or only in Scotland)

Apparently one of the linesmen, sorry assistant referees for our semi, had to resign from the police after being found guilty of assault, but never mind as he is now a "rising star" with the SFA who seem to have no trouble with criminals in football eg Dave King "fit and proper" etc
So the "impartial" SFA not content with putting Madden in charge, and Steve McLean as the assistant referee, we have an admitted criminal running the line.
OH well only 14 to beat next Sunday hail hail.

Tim the last game they had a Tory linesman and you seehn the footage of him sending jozo off. overly eager perhaps and I am be being kind.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 19:42:30
So Tim, what is it about his assault conviction is making you paranoid? Also Mally, what’s the linesman being a Tory got to do with him correctly flagging Jozo’s elbow?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 20:56:06
Well kev av been watching these games for quite some time and it's the first time av seen a linesman being so quick to make a decision am not saying he was wrong am saying he was over eager.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 21:23:25
Fair enough but I don’t get the significance of him being a Tory. Same as Tim saying no wonder we’re paranoid because an official has a criminal conviction.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 22:04:30
Well the Tory things up to you kev but believe they're of a certain persuasion.

06 Apr 2018 22:32:55
I mean being found guilty of assault, and then losing his job because of it, are we meant to hound the guy untill his dying days, why can't someone do the punishment and then get on with his life.

BATE Borisov - a team with mostly Belarus players and only a 13,000 capacity which they don't always fill.

in last 10 seasons have qualified 5 times for the champions league group stages. The exact same amount as us.

Yet we have a 60,000 stadium that we sell out often. We make millions more than teams like this.

Yet our own board and some of our own fans are convinced we can't do better in Europe because we don't have £500 million.

@Tesla369 two posts from you on the rumours and banter pages, both fekin negative.
Celtic thank you for your support, NOT.

Agree1 Disagree2

06 Apr 2018 18:37:03
Whilst negative it is a valid point.

Can’t say I follow the Belarus league, but if the points offered are true question is why can’t we do more.

On the flip side look at PSG spent close to £250m on two players yet can’t make the finals.

My view is Celtic are anchored by a mentality of we are happy to here and especially away from home look like rabbits in headlights when up against any Euro heavyweight. We do have a good standard of player many internationals but never seem to do ourselves justice on the big stage.

Celtic won’t spend the money so looking at successful teams of similar or smaller size is the best way to go, are we not copying Ajax, Porto’s formula, buy young develop then sell for profit. Repeat cycle?
It’s holding the right players for enough time to give us a chance of doing something great.

I posted before about the players that left Wanyama, Forster, Van Djik, Hooper, Lesley etc. Sold because they wanted to go but imagine them blended into the team now.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 18:51:36
Not negative at all. Realistic. The things I posted are facts. If you disagree please feel free to explain to me how the things I posted are not true?

you can't argue with facts, that's the problems. I can't even post a fact without being told I'm not being supportive.

I pay and go to and positively support Celtic every home game regardless of who is wearing the strip. Good player/ bad player

but I'm not going to come away and pretend our teams doing amazing if they aren't. Sorry if that bothers you tbh.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 18:54:14
Just a question Timalloy - The point about BATE Borisov. Do you find it an acceptable level that we are being matched by sides with a revenue similar to SPL sides?

I'm not saying we should be winning the Champions League but we should be able to be a strong Europa League side.

Looking at the quarter finals, only 2 teams are way above what we could be.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 21:26:57
Might be negative but it’s very accurate. Same can be said for those teams from countries that don’t have huge tv deals.
Our progress has less to do with money and more to do with passing accuracy and ability to make a quick pass to a colleague. Every one of our players has to take a touch before a pass, did you see zenith do that?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2018 21:33:33
Is this the BATE Borisov that were pumped out the CL qualifiers by Dundalk last season. To be fair i think they had a purple patch a few seasons ago when they had a few gems in their team like Hleb. Bit of a pointless post comparing our crowds to theirs. Gate money means very little when it comes to competing at that level. We probably rake in 25 million in ST sales not a lot at CL level half a squad player for Man City and the likes.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 00:24:15
Don't understand this argument at all, at all, football is a simple game, but is played by humans, no are all mixed up, and supported by people's who are even more mixed up, I just get the point of you post, do you just like spending money, I would almost nearly just about, quarantee that if Steve Clarke had been in charge instead of Ronnie, PhPh, Celtic would have done a lot better in Europe,

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2018 22:22:15
If you take into consideration the amount of cheating Rangers 1872 did especially in tax affairs for over a decade . How the Scottish referees cheat us on an on going basis . mits no surprise that Celtic disappoint in Europe from time to time.

I see wee Tierney is back training again, but surely we cannot risk him on that horrible plastic pitch at Hamilton.
Yes I know Kieran needs game time, but that would be counter productive if he aggravated his calf on that midden.
He is a young fit guy, give him the extra week on GRASS and watch him go next week. (and YES I deliberately worded it that way lol)
