To this moron, Celtic are a PLC and unlike Rangers (whose finances have been a mystery for some time and included several delays in release of accounts), they must submit their accounts to independant scrutiny. Celtic's debt is as published. To do otherwise would be breaking the law. As for the McGeady deal (the detail of which you cannot seriously claim to know), it is in fact common place for transfers to be paid up. If you've ever seen a football clubs accounts you will know that year in year out there are monies owed and owing on transfers. Celtic fans with a memory will recall wee Fergus' horror when Tommy Burns shelled out the full fee for Phil O'Donnell whilst he was out of the country. Having lost out on any European revenue I doubt there are huge sums to spend at Celtic but would imagine we could still hope to strengthen in January. As for departures, I think it'd need to be a truly exceptional deal to persuade them to sell mid season and cetrainly we're under no pressure to do so. I think you'd be best sticking to your own pages!
