Shved is training that's good up to him to push Forrest and Lennon to pick him and show what he has a lot of fans want the same and that's a winner if he as good as reported and sneak in a good striker give eddy help up front that would be excellent kick on for the 9.

I'd be surprised if Shved gets much game time this season. Looks like another project similar to Bayo. What I don't get is why we don't loan them out domestically to get them up to speed with our game?

I read what Davie proven said about Peter lawell omg how much that man gets paid shocking amount so why can't we buy players like foster elynoussa and striker to help eddy and Lennon midfielder to play players in there right positions rotate the strike force and midfield instead running the players into the ground and been injured all the time as they looked jaded Forrest looked tired so did McGregor and no cover for Forrest and Christie was injured and played.

Lennon is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

If he rotated players and we lost, he would get the blame for changing a winning team and he also gets pelters when we lose and he didn't rotate because people accuse him of running players into the ground.

Can anybody tell me why we are looking at loanee players as we have plenty cash? As we have loanee players in the squad I can't understand this in every transfer market we look for loanee players first we have one quoted worth 9mil will we buy him that's the question how much is the goalie worth? He is on loan too we want a squad that's our own players it's madness we have the cash.

I agree it's paramount we bring in the quality we crave; However, historically, Celtic usually spend much more in the summer window, because of the wider choice and better chances to offload surplus.
In general, the January window is usually for emergency cover, obtaining players that are not getting game time and may be out of our price-range or even pre-contract agreements - prior to June 30?
Obviously we are in need of at least three players and the manager will have identified his preferences; so it's down to the club to back him depending on who is available and willing to join us?

06 Jan 2020 02:17:51
It's simple we cannot afford these player's wages. Our wage structure can't match the ludicrous amounts paid down South. A loan deal allows us to bring in players we can't afford.

I'm not disappointed with the season so far. I'm just a bit hacked off that we have let the new club get close to us when we should be out of sight. I do accept that we are financially prudent and they are a car crash waiting to happen but it still irks me.

They're gambled everything this season to stop us and so far they are still in it. They have been more consistent then any other Sevco side and are a real threat.

Not posted in a while just like to know your guys thought on the LB position i know its not exactly priority but i think we have still have a problem there. Been watching taylor for a couple of seasons now im just not a fan decent steady player but IMO not celtic quality. Out of the three hayes has put in the best performances and he's an attack minded player but put in the best shifts for us at the back and going foward, doubt we'll sign one though.

It's too early to write either off but I'm not particularly impressed with either. Boli quite simply isn't a defender. Not even sure he makes up for it at the other end either. And Taylor was never going to be good enough for me. Replacing KT was always going to be difficult but doing it at such a small fraction of the cost was only going to make it harder. Forget Hayes. Unless either show huge signs of improvement then I'd be back looking for another in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2020 19:43:38
Bolingoli is a bomb scare. No point in playing RB unless you have since defensive qualities and he has none. Poor decision making and positioning. I'm with Jim in that Taylor isn't Celtic quality though I'd start him before Bolingoli every time. Hayes isn't good enough in his natural position never mind at LB. We should be looking to bring someone in but would the board sanction it given how much was spent on the 2 new guys?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2020 19:53:05
I think the last minute signing of Taylor was due to the erratic performances of Boli and costly mistakes.
Obviously he has failed to impress and stake a claim as LB.
So here we are with a very familiar problem area with three candidates that put-together are nowhere near KT.
One of the short term solutions would be to revert to a back three, with El Hamed, Jullien and Ajer and vary the midfield game by game?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2020 20:06:28
I completely agree jim spot on and i didn't even mention boli because he's just a wasted jersey complete waste of 3mil he's never shown anything never takes his man on and when he does try its a disaster, and i know hayes isn't the answer not a proper full back, and it won't say much for their future at the club if we do bring one in this month highly unlikely though.

Am I the only one that thought boli was starting to come on to a pretty good game before he got injured?

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2020 15:22:42
I reslly doubt we'll see a LB this window Charbhoy. There is chance for Boli to be coached yet but it's whether or not his head drops too much in the process because I think he's finding the whole thing a bit difficult and looks shot of confidence. We should have just paid for a proper left back.

Well one transfer wish that a lot of fans seem to have for some reason is bringing back benkovic.
Well yesterday proved why we should avoid it big time.
Gets a start, playing well and gets subbed due to injury again.

I have to sympathise with all the moaners. What a dreadful season weโ€™ve had so far:
League Cup in the trophy cabinet, topped our Europa section for the first time ever and two points clear at the top of the league!
Sack the board! Get rid of Lennon! Move 90% of the players on and start all over again!
Come on boys, enjoy what weโ€™re experiencing; it might not last forever!

It's the irrational fear of not getting 10IAR. I'm guilty of it myself at times. It's been hyped up so much that it's becoming a real burden and it's beginning to remind me of the unbeaten run under BR. I remember how badly the team were playing in the lead up to losing that record and then when Hearts beat us, although disappointed, it looked like the weight of the world had been lifted off the players' shoulders.

We have a genuine challenge this season. Fans have a right to be concerned as for the 1st time 10 doesn't look guaranteed. PL has taken a gamble reappointing Lennon and as things stand Gerrard appears to have the advantage. A change of personnel isn't required a new tactical approach is.

05 Jan 2020 17:24:10
Yep Gerard has an advantage. Remind me of what he has won with the Rangers? Oh yes. A game at Celtic park. Really?

Edg. Gerrard has faced Lennon 4 times in the last year and in 3 of those games has out thought him. It's not a crisis but it is a bit worrying.
Our performances in the last few weeks despite the results have been below par. We needed a last minute goal to beat Hamilton at home, the away game at St mirren wasn't great and we didn't play well in the 2 games against Sevco. The second one last week was especially bad as Lennon didn't seem to learn anything from the Cup final.
I hope that Sevco collapse in the second half of the season but I don't think they will, they look as if they're on a mission and it will need to be us that stops them.
New players aside, Lennon has to show that he can motivate the team and not to be so tactically naive.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2020 19:56:24
Most of us were more angry and disappointed with losing AT HOME to a team that is nowhere near as good as us man-for-man, but showed more appetite, organization and determination than we did twice in a month.

I know Lennon doesn't like him and it's only a thought but does anyone else think we are missing a trick by not using Sinclair as a striker instead of a winger? Imagine him and eddy up front together.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2020 01:53:46
He's not a striker. I know he covered there for a few games when we had an injury crisis but don't remember him standing out playing there apart from humping Hearts at Tynecastle. Regardless it's a non starter as NL doesn't rate him.

Sinclair's days are over at Celtic unfortunately as Lennon doesn't fancy him. They need to try move him on in Jan and free up the wage we are paying him. Shame as l always like the guy.

Neil Lennon is a very stubborn man, who preferred to play the likes of Morgan and Johnston, while Elyannoussi is missing, before a guy that had regularly top-scored from that position.
