Cracking Rabona pass mate.

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Feb 2017 15:12:41
Cracking goal, apparently 24 passes every player touched the ball including Gordon (now he getting assists ed lol) , a rabona a back flick and a goal.
Surely contender for goal of the season.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Feb 2017 17:09:01
I think it's just edged infront Rayman. LG's freekick against Be'er Sheva was a beaut. Shin or no shin Dembele's against City was a touch of class. Sinclair's against Albion Rovers though, what a great hit! Oh, but his little back-heel flick against Hearts was cheeky. But Dembele scored a class little back-heel against the Huns at Hampden. And then there's Armstrongs fizzer at Accies. And what about Rogic's, ach, there's too many.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No Dedryck??}

06 Feb 2017 18:11:55
Considering he's shoo in for the SFWA Player of the Year Ed, I'd give the goal one to somebody else.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The writer's award? I'll be amazed if a Celtic player gets that - haven't you heard of Kenny Miller?}

06 Feb 2017 18:56:04
Touché.

06 Feb 2017 20:48:51
Touche?, think you meant Douche.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2017 21:04:16
I think Toprig's sister might just do the Botox for Miller, digibanger 😆. There's a few of their players, staff, fans, puppets and cheerleaders could do with a douche though, the amount of brown bananas coming out their mouths.

So when can the league be won guys?

05 Feb 2017 20:37:19
If we continue the winning streak,12th March, in paradise versus the Sevco 😜.

Agree1 Disagree2

05 Feb 2017 20:42:12
I read somewhere if Aberdeen drop any points we will win it when we beat the Orcs in Paradise.

Agree0 Disagree2

05 Feb 2017 22:04:35
12th of March against the Huns would be the dream season l🍀🍀🍀.

Agree2 Disagree2

05 Feb 2017 22:33:19
Want it won before then. imagine the huns having to do two guard of honours for us before the seasons done 😂.

Agree2 Disagree3

06 Feb 2017 08:52:59
Read somewhere that if everyone wins rest of their games then it's hearts away?
I'd love it to be against them.
I was there when old rangers done it at Parkhead.
Would they really HAVE to do a guard of honour?

Agree1 Disagree3

06 Feb 2017 23:24:40
Ugh a shudder at the thought of that day, a would love to inflict the same feeling on them. A horrible horrible day, worse feeling than helicopter Sunday for me.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Feb 2017 18:48:59
Watched the game, delighted with the result and the second half performance.

I thought the set up in the first half was a wee bit arrogant and I thought st Johnstone were well in even before they got the equaliser.
The difference with having a striker on was plain to see, although if GMS buried that sitter I think the moose would have stayed on the bench.

Some of the movement was exceptional in the build up play. Moussa second was an immense finish, absolutely top drawer.

The third was sublime play, a left back on the right side of the penalty box playing in a ball like that? Complete class.

For me, every possible attempt must be made to sign Paddy Roberts, with paddy, Sinclair and the moose we have our very own 'trident! '.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

05 Feb 2017 19:58:37
Totally agree those three together are top drawer, just wish Roberts would convert more, his assistance and beating opponents is brilliant, just needs sinclairs finishing and he in my eyes would be a complete player, very strong for a wee man, Henderson again is showing impressive signs, the big exposure I found was balls into our box, we are struggling to clear our lines, strange when we have a tall back 4.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Feb 2017 21:14:01
I agree islandcelt, thought the set up was a bit cheeky, i was thinkin maybe our Gaffers getting bored and is up for fannying about for a laugh😆. No matter, he put his serious head on for the 2nd half. Jos a good'un.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 21:19:59
Henderson for me is quality, been saying it for a bit, thought he was excellent today, composed, good touches, range of passing, lovely finish for his goal n he can play. Good engine on him too n would love to see him get a run of games n establish himself.

Dembele just class again, the lustig flick, McGregor back heel n dembele finish could be goal of the season contender.
Paddy Roberts we need to get signed up, pay whatever it takes as he will be a top player I feel, n don't think city would be difficult to deal with.

To push further into being a champions league club we need to get that extra quality, and for me even £6 for Roberts would be great value, city got him for roughly that with add ons written in so £6 would probably be enough.
That forward line of dembele Sinclair rogic n Roberts I've said before is quality, has goals, assists skill speed workrate and power.

We are not far from a really good team for now n the future n hopefully Roberts n a new goal keeper are signed, 2 key positions specially for champions league that extra quality.

05 Feb 2017 22:03:22
Sviatchenko not that tall turner. Thought we were a bit lost at the back with big jozo not playing.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Feb 2017 23:50:39
He's not midget at 6ft1 yayo, jozo was a miss though.

05 Feb 2017 17:03:18
Ed, what did you make of BR comments on LG after the game? I hope this is not a serious affair, would hate to see LG fall away, for his own well being and Celtics.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - LG seems to be falling into old habits and is obviously not applying himself in training. The thing is, RD was saying the exact same things last year about the mentality of Scottish players.
Since day one when Rodgers invited Scott Brown down to his home for dinner he told him what he expected from his players and the need to be a 24 hour athlete to be the best you can and the importance of nutrition and eating right - all the changes RD made are still in place and some have been improved under Rodgers. Rodgers - like most modern managers - is more focused on the importance of sports science etc than RD was.

'Leigh’s a very important part of what I’m looking to do, and will continue to be. He’s a brilliant striker but he has to be fit and available, and to be fit you have to look after every part of your life. This is not slight on his enthusiasm. He’s a great boy and we have a great relationship.
What I answered, I answered when asked the question of him going forward, and it’s very simple. He needs to develop that mentality. This is his life as a professional player. You can’t just settle for what you’ve got. Be the very best you can be. Nutrition in modern sport is very important.
He’s clearly a talent. But if we’re going to be a Champions League club consistently then you need a Champions League mindset. Otherwise you’ll be playing somewhere else and that goes for anybody.'

If RD had said that he would have been crucified. A striker who scored 40 goals for us last season isn't living the lifestyle the Club demands, he either shapes up or ships out. And remember when Rodgers was asked about LG scoring 40 goals last season his answer was 'I wasn't at Celtic last year'.
Or should we get rid of Rodgers for talking all this rubbish about nutrition etc?
And I'm absolutely delighted that Rodgers is talking us up as a CL club, finally we're starting to act like a big club.}

05 Feb 2017 19:04:05
ED007.Good to hear yer on BR's side now. after all of your negative comments re him in the past. Him and his 'bit of fluff' and all that.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't remember being negative, I remember having some reservations after spending 2 years laughing while reading the Liverpool fans discuss his numerous mistakes and his downright bizarre decisions.
Is it negative to say I think he's made mistakes in the last 2 games by not starting with a recognised striker on the pitch, is it negative to question why Rodgers decided to play, Calvin Miller, a player voted one of the best in the world playing as a forward at LB?.}

05 Feb 2017 19:59:35
Edd07 you make mistakes like everyone, I do recall your views when BR was appointed.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - So having a valid opinion and not wetting my panties like some daft wee lassie over Rodgers appointment was me making a mistake? I hardly think so.
So go and dig out all these negative posts I made, it's easy enough to do.
Unlike a lot on here I'll back whoever the Celtic manager is even if I have reservations about them, the new manager just so happened to have given me two years of hilarity as he blundered his was through Liverpool, the way he behaved and how nothing was ever his fault.

goo.gl/MQmgB0

And there's plenty more reports of his crazy decisions like the team he sent out to face Madrid in the CL.
Just because someone becomes Celtic manager doesn't erase history and their mistakes. Liverpool fans have a far different opinion on Rodgers than Celtic have, you should ask some of them - ask Ed001 - or doesn't that fit your perfect wee vision of him?}

05 Feb 2017 20:02:03
Ed007 do you ever think Miller will get a crack up front? I'd love to see him get a chance up top if he was so highly rated there in the past.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Probably not - he'll probably become what's known in Liverpool as being 'Brendaned'.}

05 Feb 2017 21:00:01
No one ever disputed the importance of nutrition, in fact that was about the only string to Ronnies bow that he was any good at, in fact am sure some of us even called him a nutritionist, with his crazy team selections, even crazier tactics and formations, and mad substitutions, not to mention his post match interviews, he certainly was'nt a football manager.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - And yet without him we'd only be sitting on 97 trophies and 3 leagues in a row. Maybe we just shouldn't count the trophies he won. I wonder what Kieran Tierney and Leigh Griffiths thought about RD as a manager, even Tom Rogic who had never been fitter and played 39 games last season.
Wouldn't you class Celtic playing 4-3-3 at home without a recognised striker on the park a crazy team selection? RD got pelters for playing one up front - Rodgers does every match and there's not a peep about it, he then goes one better and plays with none, TWICE!!, and nobody seems to bother.}

05 Feb 2017 21:29:51
Brendan got Liverpool closer to the title than any other manager has done for years. I will be forever thankful we got him and not that idiot Moyes!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - And what a laugh that was. As they say, second is just the first loser.}

05 Feb 2017 21:56:21
What was funny about it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note -

05 Feb 2017 22:08:55
Bit of a difference in how the team are playing from last season compared to last.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 22:45:18
I think we are seeing a very different man now in BR.

He was a bit of an arse at Liverpool and that stupid ch5 documentary was a horses arse of an idea - as it made him look like a horses ares.

I think since then he is humbler - and learned a lesson - and now at a team like celtic he is rebuilding his reputation as man manager and a good tactician.

I always want the best for celtic and when he was appointed I was disappointed. I want someone in high demand at the top of their game - but we ain't going to get PG or JM (would you really want them) . I think now - he is the best we could get in the current set up and with his point to prove, we are a good fit for him too.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - He certainly looks to have learnt a lot and comes across a bit more humble for want of a better word - and he can work the media up here in a way they've never came across.
The Channel 5 documentary was another high profile cock up with hilarious consequences.}

05 Feb 2017 22:47:46
The right Edd, Brendan told him to slip!

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - But it was just sssoooo funny.

06 Feb 2017 07:20:03
Brendan has the potential to be the best Celtic manager since Jock Stein. If the board back him property then I believe he can get us competing properly in the champions league.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2017 08:02:34
I don't see the point in bringing up the past . We should only judge Rodgers on what he Does here. If he could screwed up at Liverpool too bad . he hasn't screwed up here yet. Another point about this unbeaten season. I would rather bring the young bhoys through than go unbeaten.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2017 09:39:28
I'm one of the guilty 1s that called Ronnie D a nutritionist. It seems BR has that mentality also but has a few more strings to his bow.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2017 11:35:36
What's even funnier is the state Klopps got them in they are terrible, but agree ed the ch5 doc was horrendous.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 17:09:08
Fair play to Tommy Wright for his post match interview, he said he thought their claim was a penalty (I didn't but if it was the other way round I'd have said it's a stonewaller) and rightly stated that ours should never have been a penalty. But he then said that we may well have still went on to win the game which I have to agree with, even when we looked shaky and unorganised for periods I never felt that we would lose because we always grind teams down in the end.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Feb 2017 18:04:36
I thought st j should have definitely had a penalty with the scott brown challenge.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 19:09:10
I thought so at first Kev but the more I see it, the more I think there's no way the contact was enough to be considered a foul. It certainly wasn't enough to make the guy fall over from his standing position.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 20:40:38
I thought the STJ one was 50/ 50 and tbh I'd have been raging m if they got it (and raging had we not) but it wasn't clear cut.

Our penalty was clear cut in that it was never a Penalty!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 21:20:54
Tommy Wright was spot on when he said both teams were excellent, but it was the third team that were poor. Great quote aswell.

Well im having the best day in a long time at work. Many many comments when we were behind today and maybe I will admit I was a little worried with no recognized striker. But OMG! the rest of the day will be sweet now.

Hope you are well as can be ED not posted in ages but still on everyday keep up the good work please.

The Happy Turnkey.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Hi mate, it's always nice to hear from you. I'm fine thanks and hope you're doing well too.}

05 Feb 2017 14:46:09
Am I the only one who doesn't really care about going all season unbeaten?
Once we have the league tied up in would be bringing in a lot of the young players and getting them ready for first team.
Would also be giving guys like henderson more of a run.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

05 Feb 2017 16:18:43
I absolutely don't care - its nonsense and the bbc guy today when we were 2-1 down "unbeatable" "unthinkable" "invincible" - build us up to knock us down. Then when it eventually happens they will say "well. " when it was those feckers who brought it up in the first place.

"Going for a domestic treble" also twists my tit.

I remember some mug stuck a mike under Garry Cauldwells nose once and said "can you win the Europe league this year" "oh yeah its possible" he says - hook line and sinker.

If I were a manager, it would only be the next thing in front of me.

Not because I don't want the glory of records and Quin-fecking-touples - because all those same hacks are waiting to stick the boot in,

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 16:19:39
Kev83.I couldn't care less about the unbeaten run also. Agree also we should develop Henderson etc as soon as the league is in the bag. Big players should be kept for Scottish Cup. Would be a cracking achievement to go unbeaten but players development is more vital for the future imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 18:38:34
what an achievement it would be to go whole season unbeaten go down in history regardless the strength of our league, just have to look at the Man Utd drawing with tiny Hull so there's always banana skins.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 18:05:36
Sorry guys I must be one of the only ones that does, it would be an incredible achievement to go through every game we play domestically unbeaten , it has never happened in the modern game and I for one would be ecstatic if we were lucky enough to achieve it, still won't be crying or complaining if we don't right enough.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 19:08:11
Treble would be cracking for me and realistically that should be the target with the LC and a 27 point advantage in the league.

I would take a clean sweep over the zombies before an unbeaten season any day.

HH.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Feb 2017 19:36:31
If we can't give youth a chance 27 points clear then when would we? Not complaining with the result but Aitchison could have been given an hour and made way for Dembele. We could always go unbeaten AND drip feed youngsters, that would be grand, but I'd gladly take a couple of losses in order to give young players experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 21:41:30
That's an interesting one tick, I think for me I would take a draw at the asbestos dome if we went through the season unbeaten.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 21:04:39
And if brendan had played young jack and lost he would have been crucified I think this is a unique opportunity to make history there'll be opportunities in pre season to play some younger bhoys but surely the bhoys that have grafted all season deserve to see it through,

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 22:43:46
Was he not heading for a crucifiction before bringing Dembele on anyway then in that case Mally? Seemingly it wouldn't have made all that much difference.

Recently been frustrated with kodi on firestick so have been using modbro for games on the box and vip league for games on Celtic TV and stream to tv using chromecast, when I can't make games.

You might have to use a vpn depending on your ISP. Cyberghost is free to download and install. You can also set your location to UK if you select to surf anonymously, trying to select on main screen says you need to upgrade, you don't. Additionally you don't need to register on vip league even though the pop up says you do.

no its not free £20 pm but you can use a vpn to login.

My kodi box was doing my head in. If you have an ok spec phone I'd suggest downloading some apps "es file explorer" "local cast" and and "opera vpn" its free and works OK. You can then set up kodi to play through file explorer and local cast and it will connect to your chromecast and you can use your phone as normal as it works in the background. I found it far more stable than using my t8 box. There are walk throughs online. It doesn't play every video but id say 80% work perfectly. I'm sure there's a way to get the rest working but I haven't had the need as there are always several sources to choose.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Feb 2017 20:55:59
better spending £50-£60 and getting a better android box with 3gb ram. if you then use a ethernet cable from your router you don;t need to subscribe to celtic tv. if you add dc sports you get the celtic tv link live and free.

05 Feb 2017 22:02:19
if your going to pay that for a box your better buying a sub foriptv there's plenty of them about far better than kodi.

I see Ryan Christie scored for the dandy Dons yesterday. I still hold a lot of hope for the bhoy and was disappointed and surprised to see him go on loan especially as we've been short up front and in midfield in recent weeks with Dembelle, Grifiths, Armstrong and Rogic out. 🍀.
