I think wee sneaky has played the fans card for the last time I would imagine he like Sandaza has committed breach of contract with his attack on Green as this would not be tolerated in any business and green may just have saved the club a fortune in getting rid

Hey ed just on the green brigade situation I think this is an absolute disgrace they have brought the fire back in to celtic park without them the stadium would be absolutely dead is other clubs issuing the same penalty?

Second time I've listened to SSB. They conflicted themselves tonight.
Stated they could not find a case for McCoist.

Later said but club shouldn't lose two legends at same time. And then stated McCoist should be given time to settle his new signings or some guff.

Listening to that two times is two times too much. Refreshingly SEVCO fans honestly stating McCoist should go.

Celtic created a monster. The GB. They gave them a platform and a remit but had no control not only have they had the club fined there is damage to ground and safety concerns. You think your bigger than the club your not. Yes you bring thunder but there was noise before the GB and there will be noise after it. If you get CP closed down what would you say then. Your bit safe. PL has a duty of care and we don't want a stadium disaster do we. Accept it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Celtic did give them a platform and it gave the GB recognition, they should have been happy with that but for some reason decided to push the boundaries like a Child would with a bit of freedom.

Well the big bad Parent (Celtic) has had enough and why not, they are having to pay your fines and fix the property damaged whether it be 5 seats or 105.

I don't know what was said between Celtic and the adult member of the GB but I'm hoping it all settles down and we can just get back to supporting Celtic instead of this business. I cannot be bothered with it ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. The thunder existed long before the GB and will continue with or without them. Personally I like the atmosphere they bring but I hate their attitude of they think they are a better supporter than me and should have more of a say than me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on, we all like them but not everything as when it gets the club in trouble and fined. Breaking seats and doing unsafe things not right and the club has tried to work with them giving chances to change yet they still continue. It is a shame but the club is the one I want to stay and like all will chose the club over the gb. Maybe if they follow the rules and change, the club will allow it again. Remember the club has to think of the safety of the all the people and has rules to follow, they are not just attacking the gb and the legal action they want to take against the club shows they think they are above our club. Which it is not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Mrs E. I love the atmosphere that the GB bring but reckon they are starting to think they are bigger than the club. Countless fines from Uefa and broken seat bills tells me that they have got what they deserve. Behave and support the team and don't bring shame on the club and you have my full support. Sulk and stay away then you are not true fans in the 1st place. I simply don't believe PL and Celtic would have taken this decision lightly. let's support our team the Celtic way and leave things like this to Sevco. martyc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems this decision has lightened up the lives of a few of the knuckle draggers on their site! I see it as once again celtic leading the way with regard to fan behaviour! Celtic has seen a potential problem and acted, whereas The Rangers continue to allow their rancid support to sing their disgusting songs and turn a deaf ear (so to speak)!
So I see this as a positive! No one is bigger than the club matter what anyone thinks!

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone keeps going on about broken seats wich the GB have paid for and offered to pay for so that costs the GB not celtic

Aftetnoon ed 007, who's going to bring the thunder if it's true section 111 is being closed, numbers are down already with some of the top tier being closed, this could get messy if members of the gb are allocatedd seats elsewhere, i, my daughter and 2 grandkids will miss the terrific atmosphere the gb bring, ( the good bits ) ps hope mr lawell has thoight this through Ths.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

F**k it this is a step to far I sit in 113 and find the g.b a very much needed part of our club with out big name sifnings the saling of our best players and the way our support has been brain washed into excepting us being a selling/feeder club I've just about had enough F**k c.p would be absalute dire with out theese guys and its football we support not bloody croquet ffs i'm raging this has happened the p.c brigade going on about songs can bite me as well I don't condone but free speach and the right to political beliefs are a right we all have well i'm cosidering chucking it because right now the club is'ny matching my loyalty or ambition and one more empty seat which I have paid for in advance won't harm the club but poor players on the park and zero atmosphere will. thommyj {

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a long term browser first time poster on this site and the comments made by tommy are what has made me comment. People like yourself are the ones that won't b missed in cp times are tough and the club and players need your support not your negativity the green brigade yeah bring a great atmosphere and great displays but as you sayed we Support a football team its no politics and the green brigade are becoming to political they have been told by celtic on many occasions that they cannot do lateral movement or they risk the club losing its saftey certificate from glasgow city council but they still continue to do it they have been warned by uefa over the conduct of fans in section 111 celtic and mr Lawell have done all they could to work with and accommodate the green brigade but in my opinion all they seem to have is a us and them attitude which I don't agree with and I will reiterate again that I do like the green brigade just not the negativity they bring to the club dh2707

Agree0 Disagree0

We the other fans are ending up paying for the damage and the UEFA fines.
Should section111 season ticket holders be identified and each invoiced for damages and fines? That sounds really fair.

It's also a case of Celtic park losing its safety certificate or section111 being closed down. If the board wait for an injury they will have been culpable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Free speech is a right but the only thing we know for sure about each other is that we are celtic supporters - if I want to make a political statement I will march with like minded people the gb cannot know that they are representing anyone else's opinions so should stay away from politics within the ground it is not the place for it. Today's action by the club is a reaction to the continued flouting of health and safety regulations imposed on the club the gb knew the rules and selfishly ignored them putting us at risk of further fines or even the closure of the stadium - I will miss them but they are not bigger than the club. Cb

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done first time poster gor joining the debate and your comments are fair but wrong I will continue to support mu club finacially as I will retain my season ticket my son and daughter will still attend the matches buy I garantee the club and the rest of you will miss me and my kind because the stance the club has taken is far to severe and to think the club has bern happy to make money from official club merchandice inspired by the g.b displays and chants they have embraced them and now tried to destroy them I admit their antics can be over the top and need to be riegned in but this is a luttle harsh and mark my words without them crowd numbers will dwindle they'll be a small reaction from the crowd else whrre in the ground which won't last but the commitment to the team by the board is dire and what lenny has achieved has been nothing sort of amazing because he's had next to nothing to work with compared to his predecessors and withh no serious challenge domestically I think we'll be allowed to stagnate until a certain half dead mob from govan gets its act together if ever and for me it's not enough from our board who should be trying to unite the fans and generate excitment on and off the field but we ain't getting it enjoy the games in sillence but me i'm taken a break
regretfully thommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

Thommy, so it's ok for them to go against the safety regulation's, I wonder if you would feel the same way if one of your children was hurt or indeed god forbid killed by them doing this lateral thing, I sit in the main stand and watched them bulldozing their way through the corden's of security staff, who will pay for the damage from our own support Celtic that's who.If they can't support the team in a sensible manner then I say well done Celtic
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tam I didn't say it was fine whst I did say was the clubs stance is harsh the green brigade will be missed fact
surely it's time for thier to be a compromise now the club had shown its teeth the disbandment of the g.b does the club no good I do agree the dangerous aspects of their behavour has to be kerbed but i'm not going to stand back and watch an part of the support be treated this way as I think they have enough grief from outside ellements to deal with without the club and their fellow supporters sticking the knife in you'll miss them when their not there Thommyj {Ed007's Note - I'm sure something will be sorted out and the GB will not be disbanded.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thommy please believe me when I say I won't miss them BUT I would miss CELTIC, who will be closed down ( or section's of )if they don't curb this behaviour. Don't say to me we will never be closed, remember the country we live in. Yes I love all the good thing's the GB do but they need to rein themselve's in.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tam I admit my reaction to last nights avents mught have been a little knee jerk but by reading all the other post everyone is agreement there are many positive aspects to the g.b and these should be encouraged whilst trying to curtail the negative maybe stinking them in one small corner of the ground could have been the problem with reguards to iver crowding may I suggedt that the crowd looks into opening a larger so called singing section for all fans not just g.b were all persons applying for seats in this area could be properly vetted and agree to be monitored in a safer inviroment there's no reason such a section for all could'nt maintain and even surpass the work this group has done to enhance the c.p expierience i'd hate to see the atmosphere suffer as result of the colsure of this section of the ground remember at times especially last season the team relys on a strong vocal support cheers for the feed back.mate

For whatever reason celtic have done it again, what I hear you ask, when all the attention and headlines should be about
the civil war at ibrox and sir walters resignation the celtic board come with something that, for my money will be the main topic in the media.I didn, t hear or see anything on saturday that would
prompt them to close this section.Over the years celtic have created their own unnecessary headlines headlines, just when we, the fans are having such fun regarding rangers demise the board take it all away by this headline making decision.jimbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

All in all there are 39 season books in my (quite large) family, inc 14 of them kids. My family will consider handing the cards back, as safety for our kids isn't assured Ie lateral movement,, if we score the whole stadium must laterally move?. Then again maybe its something more nastier?, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Lateral movement surely means they must ban us from doing the huddle as that is lateral movement, one rule for some close a section for another, welcome to the morgue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris mate they overcrowed 111 at cliftonville game over 100 seats were wrecked costing the club about 8k in repairs. Google section 111 celtic and the story will come up. Gandalf the green

Agree0 Disagree0

I usually enjoy the green brigade but the lateral movement thing is a safety issue which could cause the council to shut down the stadium the fans have been warned and have chosen to continue - they are not bigger than our club and should not be risking the closure of our stadium cb

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right Wanyama gone! Hooper gone! Now the green brigade gone what is happening at cp?? Ed we should get all celtic fans at the other end of the stadium to switch seats with green brigade! this is a dark day if we have lost them we are better playing with the flood lights out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have a corporate HSE responsibility to assure safety for all fans. The health and safety executive may have forced this to ensure the rest of the stadium remains open.

Pea, that's sevconian quotation you're using there. Gandalf said they damaged 100 seats, not that they overcrowded by 100 people. He simply missed a comma.

I think our club have no ambition but just getting into group stages for the guaranteed games and money. If we come last in the group it would be viewed as a successful year. I expect more i'm afraid, and want to build year on year to last eight, last four.
The mindset and expectation delivers performance from word go. If this is the mindset then that's all that will be achieved.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Look what happened to the last club that had false ambition? they're extinct!

Ok so top 4 you say? so we either need to punch above our weight or spend more than.
PSG
REAL Madrid
Barcelona
Man City
Chelsea
man utd

so last 4 is out. last eight would need to add

galatasaray
arsenal
dortmund
munich

so we can't compete in transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has it occurred to you that last sixteen might be our limit? Sure we might scrape through to the last eight now and then but overall the CL is set up for the big TV clubs.Compare our income to the last four from last season.FFP might make a slight difference but I doubt much more than that. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I was lucky enough to have seen the beginning of The Lions period of dominance and enjoyed so much success including 2 EC finals; however it has been a long, long time since we went anywhere near a quarter final and the format now makes it near impossible with tricky qualifiers almost every year.

MON did very well in the CL with a well assembled and expensive team which gave us such a magical journey to Seville in 2003. But since then the budget has been vastly reduced with limited revenue and from WGS to NL's teams we have had to bargain hunt for hidden gems and the overall standard of player has dropped significantly and although we are still fairly dominant domestically, we are punching well above our weight if we get into the group stages.
So although I understand the expectancy - as I have always had it myself - there is an economic realism.

The Advertising Standards Authority are to reopen the case of sevco claiming to be the most successful club in Scotland. After receiving over seventy complaints regarding the graphics around the dust bowl, and the publicity in the media, they originally ruled in favour of the club.

This led to much hysteria among the sevco blogging fraternity, mostly by chris graham to his followers, and perpetuated the same club myth.It is being looked at again because the ASA only took sevco statements into consideration. There is also a problem regarding a statement sevco used from the AIM which they have found out is dubious.

It appears that leaks are springing out in the sevco dyke and not even Chuckles big hands can stop them.green jhedi

Anything that states Founded 1872, needs to have in brackets afterwards (reformed 2012) as a minimum.

Their new founding date was 2012.

The Nimmo-smith report is a retired legal consultant's opinion only and not legal fact supported by law or the courts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Uefa do not recognize liquidated clubs as having their original founding date.
Regardless of what Charles Green says.

Most UK liquidated clubs have their post liquidation new founded date on the club badge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was reading a link on The Facebook about The Rangers' ban on Radio Clyde for some pundits referring to them as a new club. The article went on (obviously written by a The Rangers follower) to say that both Fifa and UEFA acknowledged them as the same club. If so, then why does the UEFA website still show Rangers FCs last game as being against St Johnstone in May 2012? I can't recall if it was that same article or a post on their rumours site that went on to say that The Rangers had continued to add coefficient points to the tally. Indeed Rangers FC have, as, as well as gaining points for UEFA competitions (which the club cannot do as its liquidated), a club gains 20% of the member nations coefficient as a bonus. Therefore as Rangers FC haven't been taken off the coefficient board, they continue to gain points; much like a rusty boat sitting in the sand gathers dust.

MgC

As an associate club banned from Europe by UEFA for three years they cannot accrue coefficient points.

Supposedly kenny jacket has came out and said doyle can leave now and the fee will be 1.5m. Tbh i'd be happy getting doyle as long as we signed a poacher aswel but if doyle is signed as hoopers replacement then I really fear for us and the cl this season. Imo doyle is a sutton typle player wins headers holds the ball up brings other players in and creates goals same as sutton aye he will score goals but he's not a prolific striker which is clear after the game last wed and sat that we need. Wouldn't bad mouth lenny but il be really dissapointed in him if this is his idea if a hooper replacement we all knew hooper was going and he should have had a replacement wrapped up ages ago

Please please please not back to the Doyle nonsense. He's thirty and his stats ain't good and he's only in third tier.

We need a young sharp fast striker who has previously scored goals at CL group stages level.

A fraction of a second too slow and the one chance in the game is gone. Hooper was just too slow a few times last season. Folks thinking just bad luck is nonsense. He wasn't fast enough. So don't bring in anyone slower!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What is everyones problem with Kevin Doyle, his stats aren't that bad for wolves and only few years ago he scored 13 goals in the EPL for Reading. I guarantee you that's more than hooper will score this year.

His record in the championship is solid too, apart from last season but he was in and out the team.

He has scored more goals at international level than samaras, stoke, watt and hooper combined and will bring a bit of experience to the front line. I think we need a signing like him as opposed to another "raw" 22 year old

Agree0 Disagree0

Naw we don't. We need a striker that can score goals, a poacher. Doesn't have to be fast or young infact an older guy leading the line appeals to me. i'm not saying that it should be Doyle but if it was Skippy right now for 2 mill I think if be happy with it. I would be seriously worried if he did go as although he is still prone to mistakes; he has improved very well and has a good partnership with Mulgrew, plus it keeps Efin Ambrose out of the team.
It would also mean the spine of last years team Wilson, Wanyama and Hooper had been completely ripped out and that's a blow to any team.

I saw it just now on news now guys, he told Lennon he wants out for forest. He should be benched for elfsborg and we should go for Charlie and efe, with efe in defence what could go wrong lol. Bit gutted though Wilson was starting to grow on me.

As fans we all complain from time to time on our players performances. We expect perfection, no mistakes, well you start to get that by buying £10m+ guys. Each of our guys play above their cost and valuations. Kelvin delivers in a hoops shirt. The defense were excellent in CL last year.

Is the most logical solution to the Gb to make section 111 standing? That way they can jump and do what they want?
