So with the Rankers (in admin) fighting fund rising all the time, and the style of financial management they have had over the years.
They must be thinking " ok lets wait for about a 8 draw rollover on the euromillions, have the lot on , hey presto problems solved"

1. Known debt of £55m to creditors.
2. Further potential debt of £79m from Wee and Big Tax cases.
3. No CVA in place.
4. Craig Whyte would need to agree any sale.
5. D & P report confirms that at this time Whyte has a floating charge.

Just read Rankers debt could be as much as £134 million , who in their right mind would buy this , this must be liquidation , as much as £94 million to the taxman what in the hell is Salmon thinking about trying to defend this how many schools , hospitals could be built with this amount of money. {Ed007's Note - Not to mention the money owed to the police and ambulance services.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

The NHS is already on its knees without owing money to the ambulance service and HMRC. How he can in anyway defend this...Stay Classy Rangers

Just saw on official RFC website, sally praising fans for the "charity" game apparently £280k went to the club with another £170k shared between AC Milan and Rangers charity. Once again RFC are poor with arithmetic 47,000 at £12 is more than this total also they sold flags and scarves on the day "with big sales" and also it was pay per view on RTV so where did all this money go and why not publish it? Ref

The snp will lose a helluva lot of votes .. from all over the country who were coming round to independance but if he is helping that mob ,,,forget it they will go backwards and be the fourth party in scotland
------------------------------------------------
yea i totally agree every single Celtic supporter should vote against Independence and along with all us Rangers Fans we can keep Scotland part of the Union then we can still fly the Union flag and Sing songs like Rule Britannia and God save the Queen LOL.

being serious now cant you see how ironic that post actually is and it really shows the mentality of some people that would vote one way or another on probably the biggest decision politically that they will ever have to make based on football prejudice.

i for one will be voting yes for independence and im a season ticket holder at ibrox. i will be casting my vote purely for the reason that i think we as a Nation could prosper under our own rule, thats my opinion and you have yours. but i will not let my feelings for my football club sway me one way or another.

we were all shouting about keeping politics out of football well may be we should be keeping football out of politics

Pad

Believable8 Unbelievable6

I think this is more than just a footballing issue when the govenment of the day is siding with tax evaders to the benifit of some at the cost of the many. Many people will think that we would just get a corrupt town hall writ large

Agree5 Disagree2

Pad , i agree with you 100% on the independance debate , but it is wrong for politicians putting pressure on HMRC , banks or any other creditor on behalf of ANY football club or sporting organisation , Rangers have brought these financial problems on themselves by mismanagement and must sort it out by themselves , rules have been broken and they must accept the appropriate sanctions , Government intervention is also against the rules , and could have a detrimental effect on their future vote .

Agree3 Disagree2

When we had severe financial problems we went to the bank etc and even tried to put together a budget plan that needed a bit of flexibility and patience from the bank and a lot of sacrifices and sleepless nights from us. In the end we got no assistance or compromise and ultimately we had to sell our home.
Not looking for sympathy here,but we got ourselves into a financial mess and Alex Salmond or A N Other politician NEVER acted on our behalf to intervene and save the day and stop the sale.
We paid for our mistakes in full and in my opinion Rangers should do the same, without all this public out-pouring of sympathy and pleading for special treatment and deals to cheat the system.
That is what bothers me the most about this whole sorry soap opera of a sham.

Been reading recent posts about possible signings. I think we are crying out for genuine attacking/creativity from midfield. The type of experienced player who has, hopefully, won something - who can change the game with a bit of real quality. In Europe, that is always the difference. Unfortunately, every club is looking for that type. Means big transfer fee and big wages.
The players mentioned below are all decent but would only be squad players. New players MUST be better than we have.
Regarding goalscorers, we couldn't afford Rhodes. Unless Hooper went and we paid £8million minimum to see off West Ham.
Hopefully Ibrahim could turn into a diamond, but we haven't seen him.
Ultimately, money talks and we find ourselves at a wee crossroads in terms of the next stage in developing the team. Do we hope this team has enough to get us into the CL and then learn from the experience and add transfer value? Personally, i think we need to trim the squad then try and sign a real experienced centre-half (not a big Dan type!) and the type of midfielder mentioned above. The squad will certainly be different next season.....but the first team might not. I doubt we will spend anything serious without direct entry to the CL group stages.

spl to pay £32,000 rangers owe too dundee united. would they do that for celtic?. i doubt it {Ed001's Note - they are taking it out of the money they pay Rangers, not paying it for them. It happens as a matter of course in England now, a team in admin doesn't get prize or TV money until all their footballing debts have been taken from it.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

If they do it for one they would have to do it for anyone else in the same position.

Agree1 Disagree0

Could this be an attempt by the SPL to get rid of one of the charges against the
manky mob? Nothing would surprise me.
