Brown is no captain and should never have been one. He doesn't even come close to showing a slight glimpse or Cesar, Lambert or their ilk. I hope Lenny rattled that people brains in private. I admire Brown's tenacity at times but looks lost. Does xavi or stevie g ever look lost?
Mulgrew for me.

Seems a bit harsh you've compared him with 4 European cup winners there with McNeil, lambert, Gerard and Xavi.
The guys got a petulant side no doubts but if you take that out his game you mite take his edge. Past couple of seasons ad say he has been a standout and definitely is a leader of men.
Mulgrew has had his poor moments in celtic jerseys aswell .

Monkey boy gee broonie a break he has his faults yeah I agree. Think of the positives he brings to the team, without him the drive and the disire would be missing. I forgive him his flaws but guys like ney mar and alves are the players that get my fn goat, obvious tallent but still feel the need too hold their face or roll around it stinks.Broonies response maybe wrong but it's understandable. What is wrong with being a baw player taking a kick getting up smilling at the offender then taking the piss. because you can ala jinky the games moved on in ways I don't think breeds true legends only pre-maddonas and that's a shame

Thommy a think you must have miss read my post, I basically said the same as you to the OP

Wish everybody would get off Scots back. i'm sick of hearing that he is not captain material. JK {Ed007's Note - Hear, hear.}

Love Broonie to bits, when he is no in our team WE look lost, not him.
Sure he has been a bit stupid in a few games recently, but for the past 2 years we have been talking about how he has matured.
I expect these incident to be isolated ones and I think he will come out of the criticism stronger. My pick as captain any day of the week!

OP I don't know if you have watched Broony consistantly over the last year, without him we have no fight, yes he is in opponent's face's that's what give's him his edge, Broony would be the first name on my teamsheet EVERY week without doubt, yes he over step's the mark sometime's that's what make's him and Celtic winner's

A general question folks:

When people talk about the teams they support they often say I support ******* AND ******.
Now, is it just me or do any of you support MORE THAN one team? I find that all my enthusiasm goes to the mighty Glasgow Celtic and never to any other team.
I don't support an EPL team, a team from La Liga or Serie A or Bundesliga or even an international team. There will be matches I will watch involving other teams but it's not because I support either of the teams playing, it's because I love football and it's great to watch some top class sides playing from time to time.

Im not really interested in any other team. Look out for East Fife results, only because they are local, but really don't give a toss if they win lose or draw. i'm a one man team too!
I do see how some people can have an affiliation with other teams though, the reason they are posting on here is because Celtic is their passion.

Agree to a certain extent, I don't support any other club side and only really watch highlights of the EPL and don't really care who wins it, I do however support the national team and will go to games home and away where possible, love to see my club players selected and playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't support another team but like I said on another thread I have three teams I have a soft spot for - Barca, Sankt Pauli + Liverpool. I also keep an eye on the Accies results as they're my local team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't support any other team it's only celtic a go to watch, don't care for the national team because a won't support any zombie. A do however like to see other teams do well in there leagues Barca, Dortmund, Manchester United but at of the day if they get beat a won't be bothered.

Agree0 Disagree0

As regards soccer, I'm a one man team, has always been and always will be Celtic. If they're good enough for St. Peter they're good enough for me. Other sports that I would follow would be Munster Rugby and Cork GAA teams though, my only other guilty pleasures are fishing and red wine.

Agree0 Disagree0

1 team is all any true supporter should have. that's just my opinion. When I say that I mean truly support 1 team. Watch, admire, look out for other teams is fine by me as long as when they meet on the park there no talk of being conflicted. I look out for Man United as my dad and cousins supported them but when we've met in the Champions league I've borderline despised them for 90 minutes and celebrated that Nakamura winner like I had just won the Euromilllions.

1 love, Celtic football club.

Chrissyboy. It's a bit like me supporting two wives.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never had an other team
As well but here's a new team I've just heard about. Celtic nation play in Carlisle manager willy macstay and owned by a big celtic fan just heard about them. And if they win promotion for next 5 years. The they enter English leagues. Going to find out more. My second team now. Hail hail.

The man from down under! {Ed007's Note - I've been keeping an eye on them for a while, and it's great to see Willie back in management. There was a group of Hoops fans that went down to support them the weekend CFC were over in Dublin playing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Good on you all the point has been made, we all love the hoops if its a coupon(shhh don't tell black) then that's fair enough or a team with a connection i.e ex player or manager or even a team who excites us with thier skill or attacking play fair enough but it's the bhoys in green who recieve ot support and comitment and that's it i'm my book
