Thanks Kenny the Jambo. Well said and thank you. Take care and God Bless. jfp.

{Ed007's Note - Kenny comes across as a decent bloke but I've got a niggling suspicion I can't shake that he's possibly a ginger......... We'd need to take that into consideration imo. #showgingertheredcard

04 Nov 2017 23:53:59
Good man! I’m ex forces as well Kenny and glad the Celtic supporters observed and respected the silence today. I’d hate to see Celtic football club plastered all over the papers the tomorrow for wrong reasons. πŸ€.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You'll get no grief on here for serving, we all know how everyone feels but we're all Tims together and after it's over for another year nobody cares about it, no offence by thst btw.

05 Nov 2017 10:36:48
Maybe I'm taking the bait here uj but Have you not seen the list of creditors? If memory serves me correctly I'm sure heart's are one of the most out of pocket by your thieving club.

I'm sure part of the 5 way agreement was all footballing debts were paid? But it appears a few clubs are still out of pocket hmmmmmmmπŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”.

It’s not just us most Sevco zombies talk pish they are praying their lest we forget to pay our taxes display gets them next years best fans in the world prize? Lol if they paid their taxes ex soldiers would be looked after a bit better maybe? It’s a good time to be a Tim on our way to ten and n a row and no sign of anybody possibly stopping that must stick in the zombies throats HH mind the gap and coybig πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€.

they owe hearts 800,000.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Nov 2017 08:21:26
Was that not for Lee Wallace?, is that list not back whenever, and has not been updated, it must have been sorted or Hearts would have had a claim on Wallace's registration or whatever.

See when wearing a poppy becomes about point scoring you know it's for the bin.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - See when you're the bastion of all things staunch, armed forces and sheer bigoted poppiness yetyour display looks like this

ibrox

You want to forget it and just concentrate on your shitty team.}

04 Nov 2017 22:12:31
What even is that Ed?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It was the display at Ibrox today I got sent, it is something to do with poppies or wars or maybe even dominoes. I don't think they understand the concept of holding things above your head. The second from our left looks like someone riding a turkey t me and the first could be something to do with Spurs......
Any other suggestions?

04 Nov 2017 22:15:20
Ed 007 do all the other eds get this that a certain team think there better than any other human because this or is a hun thing.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Ed002 was an integral part of the 60s counter-culture so she could probably see something in there after some Agent Orange - maybe that's the key!! Agent Orange makes it all make sense....

that one there has totally soiled the one we won the award for, beats it hands down.

{Ed007's Note - I just can't think of anything else to say, humour, irony and my usual sarcastic bastardness answers have failed me. Nothing else can be said.
Does anyone remember LSD 'windows' from the 90s, has Handy Strung and his cronies went for some sublminal advertising here....

05 Nov 2017 11:24:29
Maybe I am being pedantic, but the slogan at the bottom "For your tomorrow, we gave our today", should that not be yesterday, because today is the present, and gave is the past tense.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for wee Johnny Hayes . he almost looked embarrassed coming on today and didn't have much input. With Forrest and Roberts on the scene his chances will be few and far between. Would love to see him put in a big performance for his confidence but I wonder if he should move on or go on loan to get back to his Aberdeen form. He's a better player than what he's shown up to now.

Pointless signing really. Still waiting to be "proved wrong".

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Nov 2017 09:45:17
Lad was on a hiding to nothing really when he signed, maybe he eveΓ± knew himself, that if paddy signed n Forrest was running in the right direction you also had sinky. So bench cameos Γ± cover was his contribution, still doesn't explain the rational of the deal but he's not bad cover at all,

05 Nov 2017 18:58:04
As long as our learned ones don't call for Brendan to be sacked, I won't lose too much sleep over the signing.

06 Nov 2017 00:05:25
He has been pretty poor up until now, Was hoping he would make an impact in that game and kick on. Happy with the impact Ntcham had when coming on. He's had a lot of stick thus far from myself included but he done a good job.

Congratulations to Brendan and the bhoys to listen to the crap from the English media and l live in England The best league in the world were a 17th finish is a great achievment most games are played up to be special and are shite now to get back to our team if it was that easy oldco could do it when they cheated and had half the England team sevco could do it in the lower leagues of Scotland ( no disrespect) when they had a far bigger money advantage than we have now but yet again it is our fault that we are playing great football and have just broken the record of the great Wullie Maleys team.

Agree4 Disagree1

04 Nov 2017 20:03:40
Does Wembley not kill the atmosphere just like Hampden does as it’s so far away from pitch? You would think spurs real would be bouncing? The problem is in epl it’s all the rich football tossers who can afford the season tickets not the normal fans.

Well done celtic fans on the mins silence, Now if you agree or disagree with poppies fair enough, that's not my point of the post. My point is its good to know that the papers will need to print another story on their pages now as id bet my left nut that that's what they were waiting for.

Just wanted to give a shout out to fans like Welshboy who travel hundreds of miles supporting Celtic. I used to love going to away games on the Kinning Park Celtic Supporters bus which left from the old Stanley Bar, the only Tim pub on the Paisley Road, sadly pub is no longer there.
Hail hail all our travelling fans everywhere.

Just a suggestion but if there was to be a minutes silence for any reason and I didn't wish to acknowledge it I would stay outside the ground until it was over. No need to give the media any more ammunition to fire at the club which should be our primary concern. So, if you can't stay silent irrespective of your own personal beliefs and I have mine stay outside. There's no excuse for acting like a moron by booing it or singing over it. Just my thoughts. ☘️.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

04 Nov 2017 11:05:33
Has anybody else realised its always us playing away on the Poppy Day? Coincidence or a deliberate action as they hope it's disrupted by away fans even though they know this is what they want.

Please observe. In silence even outside the ground. They have set us up, don't play into their hands.

04 Nov 2017 15:31:40
And the huns are always at home.

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Nov 2017 16:09:40
The only reason Sevco at home is so they conduct their annual cheez fest! It is the cringeworthy thing I have ever seen!

Agree3 Disagree1

04 Nov 2017 00:22:23
I see there is to be a minute's silence tomorrow before kick off. I really hope everyone, regardless of their instincts, observes it fully as it would give the media carte blanche to make it a massive story and take the shine off what may well be one of the biggest days in our club's history. HH#63.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - And it'll help take attention away from the TRIFC accounts. An absolute nonsense to announce this the night before the match and it's not even Rememberance Weekend till next week.
We go through this every year, it's all total bollocks. If you want to wear a poppy wear one and if you don't then don't. Neither person needs to go on about Ireland, the Empire or what their papa done in the wars. In the bigger picture you wearing a daft wee bit of paper (wasn't that Haig's way of injured soldiers earning, making the poppies?) is up to you. Just don't force wearing one or not down each other's throat, you won't change anyone's mind or opinion.
FIFA shat it and should have banned it all when they had the chance, this scunners me every year.
Today, the 3rd, is the 26th anniversary of my uncle killikng himself, Larkhall born and bred, joined up at 16 and when his time was up he couldn't live in civvy street, nobody helped him when he asked and was senctioned? He couldn't cope and sadly took an OD and that was that, the amount of drugs in his system showed it wasn't a cry for help. My mam had to get the money together to bury him and not once in the past 26 years has anyone been in touch with my mam or sister about him, I remember something about a pension but he had a young son.
If someone is paying to go somewhere you might get shot it's their responsibility to look after the injured or dead. We shouldn't need soldiers in pointless wars but we shouldn't need charities to look after those who have went. They make enough money selling the arms to the terrorists to use against us in the first place.

Sad story that ed and unfortunately not so uncommon. Good friend of mine was left on his arse after serving luckily there's a charity soldiers off the streets which he says he owes his life to.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's plenty of young men out who are forgotten about and cast aside wgen their time as cannon fodder is up. Why did your friend need a charity for help when it was our government he was working for when all his traumas took place? They shoull be footing the bill of looking after them.

04 Nov 2017 07:10:09
Sad story Ed and a heartfelt post. For me a football arena is exactly that . a place to go and watch football. Next Sunday people will have the chance to remember the fallen Wether it be at a cenotaph church or mass. There's no need for it at sporting events. Would a minutes silence be held before the first set of an Andy Murray match or the 2.15 at Cheltenham? Everyone has there own opinion on wars conflicts etc. The bhoys/ Ghirls supporting Glasgow Celtic football club at Perth today are as much an ambassador for the club as Big Billy Mcneil is. I'm suspicious as to whether this is a 'poppy trap' or not but what I do know is that SMSM will be sharpening the pencils as we speak. Let's not give them ammunition to try and taint us. ☘.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Nov 2017 08:18:12
ED007 very sad story about you uncle, and I agree was that not the purpose of buying a poppy, to help servicemen and their families.
As for the minute's silence I will observe it in memory of my grandad but it is a personal choice. As is buying or wearing a poppy.
What gets me angry is the way TRIFC have hijacked this, and it is simply as ED007 says to deflect attention away from how poor their team is and how poor their bank balance is. I do not remember them making such a big thing about Remembrance Sunday years ago, no it is only since they died and rose again as the tribute act. Hypocrites the lot of them.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's only a recent thing in the UK, before it was a solemn and respectful Rememberance of those who died in the 2 wars. It's changed it's meaning now and as like most things right wing lunatics hijack it's an embarrassing fiasco that even a lot of ex-services have turned their back on.
God bless your granddad, Tim, that's the generation who the real heroes were.}

04 Nov 2017 12:25:19
Well said Ed. I have the utmost respect for the bravest of the brave who fought and died in the 2 wars.

I'm sure the Catholic community in Derry won't be interested in a minutes silence for british thugs who murdered 14 innocent civilians on a civil rights March, it isn't a crime to boo these people.
