One week to go till we visit Middle Earth. Just wait to see the negative press we get leading up to the game.
Be prepared for a lot of crap getting said about how there's disharmony in our camp and BR is worried that Sevco are the form Team. Let's make one thing straight, we could get beat but for that to happen we'll need to be really poor and Sevco to be firing on all cylinders.
The pressure is all on them, a draw suits us. Picture the scene, we score first and all the missiles come flying onto the pitch. They'll give their Team dogs abuse and that will play right into our hands. Our guys have a point to prove and Sevco will see the Real Celtic. Let their fans say, we're going to do this and that. But at the end of the day they can't cope with another defeat at the Close Brothers Arena.
"Let The People Sing".

Believable3 Unbelievable1

04 Mar 2018 22:13:06
Dont be fooled, they are in full panic mode, especially since the draw in the cup, they now know who is going to end their season in both comps, and after the week full of big talking themselves up, the thought of us being the ones to end any skidmark of hope they had in any of them is eating them up inside. And to top it off, they won't make the final. Brilliant✌🖐.

04 Mar 2018 22:51:51
Just hope we turn up. If the Celtic team that beat Zenit turns up they're in for a hiding. Hopefully Rodgers has a trick up his sleeve tactically, these are they games he will leave no stone unturned.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Mar 2018 09:42:33
We can't risk Sinclair from the start. Maybe Paddy will be back and he can come on at some point. Issues with back 4 so maybe a back 3. Commper untried so this won't be easy.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 11:44:24
Sincy definitely can’t start. We can’t go into this game a man down and sadly that’s what it’s been lately. His collapse in form has been hard to watch. Feel sorry for him as well as us. I also don’t think Mosunda will feature at all either. He can’t impose himself on the game enough to warrant the 10. He needs to toughen up his core strength because he needs that no matter what country he plays in never mind here!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 12:48:28
Also his performance last time against them wasn't good. Missed a sitter and pulling out of challenges.

Team for next week?

De Vrise

Compper
Ajer
Jozo

Forrest
Brown
Ntcham
Rogic
Tierney

Edourd
Dembele.

De vrise

Hendry ajer jozo kt

Forrest brown ntcham edourd

Rogic

Dembele.

I personal don't like the 3 at the back.
Unfortunately Ralston isn't fit or i would put in instead of Hendry.
Edourd is gd off the bench but think he deserves a shot.
As for the semi. know that's a bit different. all players back and fit.
That will be the easier game.

Agree0 Disagree2

05 Mar 2018 07:44:56
A would go with Hendry to our defence not strong enough for a 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 10:42:32
I think Rodgers will definitely go 3 at the back. Decent shout Rich T 👍.

Evening Ed,

When do they normally do the post split fixtures?

In early estimation with league positions as is that probably be two games against the Sevco in the one week?

Probably to hard to get away from that to avoid that game being a decider 👍🍀🍀.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I can't see any official date of when they announce the post-split fixture mate. Last season it was the 13th of April they were announced and we played Ross County in our final game before the split on April 16th and this year we play Dundee midweek, the 4th, and Accies on the 8th and the first game after the split - that'll be against TRIFC as usual - is the weekend of the 21st so you're right, there will be two games against them in the space of a week.}

04 Mar 2018 20:50:39
ED007 and Jamiebhoy, you must remember the time under Lennon when we played them 3 times in a month twice in league and once in cup, we won all 3 games, if I remember right the cup win was the one where fat Sally "whispered" in Lennon;s ear and a big fracas ensued.
So I say bring them on hail hail.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Exactly, Tim. It's just another couple of games against another mediocre Scottish team. They're relying on our poor form simply because they know if we turn up they don't have a chance, even with our so called dodgy defence we're still keeping a lot of clean sheets whereas they're shipping goals in nearly every game.}

04 Mar 2018 22:39:21
It doesn't matter when or how often we meet them . If we play as well as we did yesterday, and that was only fair or average we will have too much for the referee backed Rangers . Remember it is Rangers 2012 we are playing who are at the disadvantage of not been able to raise enough money to cheat . There are no EBT's in the Rangers 2012 outfit, rather waifs and strays gathered from clubs like Accrington Stanley .

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 22:58:31
Still cheating now Chris by fielding a team they can't afford and financing it with Wonga loans. Surely no FFP regulations apply in the SPL. If they really are on the brink of Administration surely they will look in to this if we beat them next Sunday as a points deduction next season loses them the league straight away.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Mar 2018 22:47:17
Yes bravetart86, Rangers 1872 and Rangers 2012 have been allowed to break the laws and rules of football by the Police, judiciary &SFA that they are continuously breaking some rule or other.

Could've put your mortgage on getting them in the semi, maybe I'm paranoid but I don't think the authorities would've fancied us winning a double treble against that mob?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

04 Mar 2018 19:20:09
Garry are you suggesting that the draw is fixed? If so you are being paranoid. Its a 50% chance it would be them so what's the surprise? One thing it does do is put more pressure on the game at Ibrox on 11th. The winner will fancy a repeat of the result in the semi. To be honest I am not that cofudent.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 19:36:30
Johnymac what does cofudent mean? I wouldn't like to think you meant confident.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 20:02:31
Not at all johnnymac, I'm merely putting my opinion across that I think the authorities will be delighted they don't have to face the possibility of us beating that mob in a Scottish cup final to win the double treble. Its certainly not came as a surprise to me we've been drawn against them in the semi, infact I'd have been more surprised if we'd avoided them.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 20:18:19
Why are you not confident Johnny? Not a big follower of them but seen nothing that scares me they seem very soft at the back, they need to come out and play a bit if we start with the team that blew away Hearts it could be over at HT IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 20:52:48
Jamie i agree with you to a point. They are weak at the back but so are we. When teams push up on us we don't handle it very well and that's what they will do. On top of that we are not playing anywhere near the level we should be playing. The results and performances not great of late. This will be close.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Mar 2018 21:23:06
Don't see it Johnny who plays high against us? I have watched killie, Aberdeen and Morton play recently with NINE behind the ball DEEP in their own half

If they come out to play or if Edouard starts on the left or behind his power they won't cope with Dembele is now match fit and firing wr have all week to prepare and Roberts and Rogic could impact to am ultra confident we will simply over power them they will try for that bravado quick start and we can punish it big time with power 👍🍀🍀.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 22:42:11
Maybe the SFA are beginning to grow a pair of balls and have made sure they are not going to let their low life scrum supporters invade the pitch after they lose their 2nd Scottish Cup final.

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Mar 2018 23:02:57
Agree with you there Jamiebhoy. He hasn't played enough either for Murty to try come up with a plan on keeping him quiet. The more they focus on him there more Dembele will benefit. Thought the £20m striker Morelos was honking today too and lucky to avoid a red card. The authorities wouldn't have wanted him banned for us though.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 08:54:57
The draw wasn’t fixed. It was a 50/ 50 chance. That’s it. Sevco didn’t want us. Them getting to a final would be hailed as progress to ensure they buy their season books. As to wether the sfa wouldn’t want us to win a treble against them? That doesn’t make sense. If you are referring to huns on that, are you saying they wanted the only tie that getting knocked out is a real and likely possibility? That’s just illogical and not true.

If we had got Aberdeen, I have a feeling, that in the same vein, you would say they were given the easiest draw blah blah. They got the hardest draw. Unless favouritism has gone full circle and leads fixing it to getting you knocked out before the final that is, then we really are in deep, mental, conspiracy theory territory.

“Aye we fixed it to get us humped in the semi. We lose loads of money we need to plug the holes in the roof and keep the lights on, but, we can’t let them win a treble against us, so oot we go against the Tims in the semi, no Surrender, apart fae this time. ” Eh, naw.

The draw was legit.

04 Mar 2018 19:24:56
Glad everyone is so confident we are going to beat them. I am not so sure. I think they will get a point if not a win at Ibrox on 11th. Maybe drop Sinclair and have Paddy on the right and Forrest on the left but if we play same as we did first half against Morton we will be up against it.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Mar 2018 19:41:09
Glad we never got Kilmarnock. A treble gubbing for them on our way to The Treble Treble. Paddy, Griff and Armstrong on their way back just in time for the final push. We haven't been great this season but skelping that mob will be the start of a great run in.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2018 23:04:35
Hope it is on the 14th as I'm in Dublin for my birthday weekend. Anyone know where is best to watch it out there?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 09:03:33
Murty was sick because getting them to a final would have helped his case to get the job permanently. It will also cost them money they could do with. This is the worst draw for them. It was also the best draw for us. Best them, prevent them getting money. Shatter their delusions. Prevent them claiming real progress. Perfect. We turn up and we wipe the floor with them. Doing them in their own midden on Sunday, then finishing their season at Hampden? That’s perfect to me.

The script is written for us to stamp our authority and burst a lot more than 99 red white and blue balloons. Our players are better, our manager is better, they both have to prove that. They will.

History has proven that this man walks among the giants of our club. Would love to see him immortalised in whichever way, and it would be right and proper for the wee man to witness it, we have to let this man know just how much he means to us and Celtic Football Club.

Cheers raw thought that would be the case. Would b a big call throwing him in next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2018 12:09:16
He had an early scare with a wayward cross field ball that against better opposition would have been punished. Did ok after that, but was never really tested. A risk playing him as he isn’t match fit and still rusty. Too risky fielding him but then again Hendry doesn’t fill me with confidence either, tough call for Brendan, because our defence and keeper are the weakest link. They play well it’s a different non nervy game. They don’t and we dig a hole that’s hatder to get a result out of.

My only concern is the defence. They will try and pressurise them because they know they have mistakes in them, so it’s vital we lay off the Kamikaze defending and let our mid to front dominate and punish them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah that dodgy defence that has played 15 games in all competitions since the 4-0 defeat to Hearts - with only 2 losses to Kilmarnock and Zenit - and has kept a clean sheet in 11 of them. Real kamikaze stuff that is.}

04 Mar 2018 11:06:59
Talking to a young guy about 19 in the pub. He was moaning about how bad we are this season. So me and a couple of the guys around my age start talking about how it was under guys like Liam Brady and Lou macari.

FGJ, I don't think they were the lucky ones.
I loved watching Celtic during that era,
I had watched us for many years before that, the great players we had, European success, trophy's galore, Celtic park full on a Saturday playing East Fife, but in the early 90s it was about support not trophies, the players new they were good but not good enough and they appreciated the support, every big victory and there were a few, was greeted with much more jubilation than today's expected procession!
Times are good at the moment but bad times can cement the relationship of club and supporter in a primal way!

I have great memories of those days and I fear that 'We don't care if we win lose or draw' is just a song to young fans today!
By the way can I just wish my hero King Kenny a Happy Birthday, I loved Jinky but for me Kenny will always be King!

No Europe and players coming back will give us a boost for the run in though. It's not a given though that we will sort them out next week - especially with our defence and DDV.
