Well Done Tim and Stevie. 👍.

@Buzz Bomb I am the guy at the betting shop watching who is on a winning streak and then shamelessly put the same bets as them lol
I read with the Derby result the punters who had managed to pick the first 3 horses in a tricast would have won over £26,000 for a £1 bet, sadly I was NOT ONE OF THEM
NB a tricast is calculated by multiplying the 3 horses odds together.

Cheers Tim, as I said I don't bet big . I had £3 e/ w on it so got a £45 profit 🤣🤣.

Aye thanks Stevie. No idea why but i went £2.50 each way. Takeaway on you tonight 👍.

Well done Jim, it was nothing about me knowing the horses ability it was purely down to the name🤣 And with a name like that you can be assured none of the Frasers Group supporters profited from it 🤣🤣.

04 Jul 2020 21:56:28
I have no idea what the name even means! What does it mean? My mother and uncle have always encouraged me to try and speak a bit more Gaeilge but I've just never caught on.

A source from inside Celtic Park is claiming over 46,000 tickets have already been renewed. With several thousand still to be processed.
He reckons on Monday we will hit the 50,000.
I wonder if Celtic will extend the 52,000 limit with Sevco now only receiving 800 tickets.
With 17,000 on the waiting list, now could be a good time to extend our season tickets capacity to over the 55,000 mark and that would still leave a few thousand tickets for single match day tickets.
Once again the Celtic fans have showed we are the best fans in the world and the only club in Scotland who have the award as proof of that amazing honour. 🍀.

With the way things are do we need to give opposition teams tickets?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 17:02:59
Celtic Park holds 60,800 approx.
If Celtic left 1,800 for visiting fans plus segregation, it would leave 59,000 home fans.
We could still extend our season ticket limit to 55,000 and it would leave 4,000 for single match day tickets.

give the sevies nothing.

04 Jul 2020 17:08:18
Is there not a rule that you need to leave so many tickets for fans to buy game to game?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 17:43:50
Kev
Sevco had 47,000 season ticket holders last season.
Add on 800 to 1,000 for visiting fans and segregation.
It would only leave them a couple of thousand for match day tickets.
But if they can’t make a game, they can give their ticket back to the club and they sell it on. A percentage then comes off the price of their next season ticket.

!7,000 in a queue for a season ticket.

Is it only me that thinks increasing the capacity at Parkhead should be seriously considered. It would pay for itself in no time and the extra revenue going forward would be tremendous.

Is there a reason why we have not done this/ tried and failed etc?

What could seriously be considered as an increase if it was a goer? 5 to 10 k?

Later champions.

stubbsie, Should get in touch with sevco. get a wee look at their plans for Either lowering the pitcher Or floating casino.

Celtic don't want too because of supply and demand. If we have too many season Tickets then all the spots would be full so celtic want to keep it down so people are always trying to get one. But if anyone can get one then people wouldn't bother about renewing one year knowing the could get a season book back then you don't renew one the following year. So by keeping it like this if you don't renew there is little chance ogf getting it back so people keep getting it as they don't want to lose it.

05 Jul 2020 15:12:49
Kinda follow your logic marco but not entirely convinced! Nice theory though.

Currently we are talking about reducing the away support to 800 and i'm sure the away support from most/ all teams could best that total. Therefore it is conceivable to keep the current level of ST consistent or increase it slightly and have the away fans allocation increased. Either way the new seats are covered.

{Ed007's Note - 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍

04 Jul 2020 11:15:25
I agree with Ed - I believe Celtic should aim to blood at least 1 or 2 players in the first team every season. There has to be light at the end of the tunnel for the youth - fans has to be patient with their progression.

Yer totally agree other wise what's the point even having an academy I we bring through great young players with potential and just let them go it really bugs me.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 11:47:58
I would also like to see more youth get their chance. I also think if they are good enough and ready they will get their chance. Many on here are critical of Mikey but he is clearly deemed to be the one who is ready to be involved. Don't think young players should play for the sake of it. But if like KT they show they are ready they will get a chance. I get the point about playing them when we are at home to a St Mirren or Hamilton but what about the current finger players. Do we get rid of them and end up having to play youngsters when we are hit with injuries, suspensions and fixture congestion? I think loans are probably best for a lot. More youngsters should take the calmac route to the first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 14:21:20
There were people on here saying CalMac would never make it at Celtic and he would end up at Notts county or that level. No point in having a excellent youth system without any progression the kids need to be out learning the hard way and playing under pressure. It’s a shame we don’t have a colt team in the 3rd division.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Neil Lennon didn't fancy McGregor and if he had stayed on as manager in 2014 McGregor would have left.}

04 Jul 2020 14:34:53
Robertson Welsh and dembelle should be used a bit more this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 17:10:57
Ed I remember lennon saying McGregor would have to leave to get the game time he would want when he returned from loan. Also mentioned making room in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 19:16:57
If players aren't capable of playing for us at the age of 18/ 19/ 20, say at home, against the likes of Hamilton and Ross County then I'd seriously question if they were good enough. The biggest question though is whether the manager is willing to give them a chance. Especially with the pressure this season will bring going for 10.

04 Jul 2020 16:51:29
That’s unreal Ed as he always looked a good player when young he rarely gave ball away and is a fantastic footballer
Just another thing we can be grateful to Ronny for.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sssshhhh! You're not allowed to praise Ronny lol

04 Jul 2020 19:51:18
Celtic fans practically crucified wee McGregor his first 2 season.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2020 21:43:34
A remember that Kev I was at a game with my old man and there was a clown screaming he was a donkey I often wonder what he thinks now!
Nah Ed I will always be a fan of RD if he had the same backing as the Rat it would have been a lot different for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - With a strong DOF to keep Lawwell in check things would have been very different and the same thing is going to happen with Lennon if Hammond hasn't got the minerals to push back against Lawwell and the board.}

04 Jul 2020 23:28:10
Ronnie was a legend he didn't get the backing he deserved or the praise he was due a lot of people forget what he did with no money.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 10:35:21
Was McGregor no playing RW then? Remember him having a good first half to the season then he kind of got sussed out and went on a dry spell that's when fans was getting on his case about needing dropped. To be fair it done him the world of good in the long run.

One for Timalloy . Amhran Na Bhfiann in the Derby today 80/ 1 must be worth a couple of quid e/ w.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

04 Jul 2020 12:08:33
@Stevie you will probably notice I do not put tips up on Celtic pages anymore as I get too much hassle, some people forget betting is a game of chance you have to be able to take the losses as well as the wins and only bet what you can afford
I still post on the betting page and over last 3 weeks with other punters help we are slightly up.
If you want to bet a big outsider like yours I suggest two things bet with bookmakers giving extra places or go to exchanges where you can get what is called an each way edge, eg an extra 1 or 2 places but odds are reduced.
Good luck.

The horse above hasn't a hope in hell of winning, i just like the name😂😂 hoping it sneaks into the first 5.
The amount I put on a horse would hardly buy you a pint. It might be enough to buy Andy Halliday tho 🤣.

better off buying that half pint. 😂.

With all the shenanigans recently with the spfl it is clear it is not fit for purpose.
The fact that every club has its own agenda means there is no uniform plan.
We {Celtic} are all talking about the new season yet others are unable to even know if they will be ready to begin in January.
I am always excited by the prospect of seeing good young players coming through at this time of year and judging the quality and potential.
However this has again been thwarted by lower division clubs with there fears of harder promotion and easier relegation.
These part time community clubs have no place in professional and i will repeat that professional football.
