Tosh McKinlay crossing ability was exceptional and he was a typical Celtic full back.
It was a pity he didn’t arrive at Celtic until he was hitting 30 years old.
I knew when he played for Dundee that he was a Celtic man and he would’ve walked into the Celtic team in the late 80s and early 90s.
Between Dundee and Hearts he spent about 10 years before making his dream move.
Tosh was worth the wait in the end. Brilliant Player.
Tosh McKinlay was in my best Celtic X1 I’ve witnessed, until KT came along.
I was inside the Superstore at Celtic Park a couple of days after clinching the Quadruple Treble and I didn’t realise I was standing next to Tosh ( face masks ) .
My wife told me when we left the store and she said she thought I knew because I was standing next to him for a while. 😂.

Tosh mckinlay was the best crosser of the ball I have seen, All you heard and saw was mckinlay running he crosses and van hooijdonk scores. Those were the days.

Another who came at the end of his career, and had his flaws, but Steve Guppy was an unbelievable crosser too. I mind when i was younger thinking Tosh McKinlay was class. Then went to hospitality and he was the rep for our box. He was absolutely marack.

Morning troops. So eds been thinking about a podcast for the site. Im looking into but need ideas on the format? Ed how do you see it working. Is it a phone in? 2 people chatting? Etc.

I'm think we do a few pre-recorded ones with 2 or 3 us talking through Skype, recording it and uploading it and once I get used to how it all works look more towards doing live-phones that can be streamed on Youtube, Twitch or something like that where we can use either Skype or Zoom.}

was thinking when you do the live chat you could do a live video like a watch along.

read fans comments out and get 1 or two on live at half time and full time for there thoughts on the match. that could be part of the podcast the live match day watch along get a different person from the site on to do it with you each match.

{Ed007's Note - Now that's a good idea 👍 I would need to get Ed033 or Ed002 to check out if we'd be breaching copyright stuff etc but I know that streaming live on Youtube and Twitch has live chats so it wouldn't (shouldn't be lol) too difficult to set up.}

it should be fine mate as you say a lot of youtube channels do it. could do transfer deadline day live shows and stuff to. specials shows talking about the invincible seasons aswell get fans on for the best memory of the season and stuff just kinda stuff like that, a show were fans come on and talk about there first ever match they were are at. definitely has a lot of potential mate.

Ed you need to be careful with that live streaming stuff.
I seen one last year where a guy in the Gorbals I think it was, was doing a fitness thing and lots of folk were sharing their screens doing exercises and some auld guy had his screen shared and was chugging away lol.

{Ed007's Note - I didn't know the cam was on - and you watched it ya perv 😂😂 No mate that's what I want to get used to doing - not the chugging lol - but how to run things and I'd do my best to make sure everyone's credentials check out. We're not going to have someone phoning in who's only created an account 5 mins ago. If it takes off you can have mods who help you run things etc and set the calls up before they get on live.

Ed just talk the way you type. But if people are going to moan about the way you talk then screw them, I talk very polite when am around my daughter as I don't want her talking ned like me but when am at work I am back to normal lol does that make sense, I hope so lol.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah that makes sense mate. I was brought up to speak properly & politely and was first choice at primary for readings at Mass or narrating the nativity but growing up in Fairhill minding your Ps and Qs wouldn't do you any favours lol.
My sister still speaks like that and her and her man brought up my niece to do the same so I always tried to do that as well speaking to her.
I've spoke to some other posters in private e-mails about it over the years - people assume because I am OK at writing I would be some kind of elegant raconteur. My mum says I'm just being paranoid while Grotbags says I'm no worse than some of the people on Youtube etc and that the more I do it the better and easier it'll become. Ed001 says that when he first started their podcast he used to be a nervous wreck before recording it but now it's just like having a blether to your mates for him and he has invited me on theirs' to help with my confidence.
It's that bad that we have caller ID on our landline phone and unless it's someone I know I just dingy it. Even if Grotbags work phones I won't answer and just shout on her lol she could be upstairs shouting for me to answer it "Ya weirdo", the phone's ringing, Yoda's going nuts at the phone and I'm shouting at her to hurry up - happy families eh😁

Facebook might be the better option they are really growing their live video content and if you were to get paid subscribers although don't quote me on it but I heard on there you get the full amount compared to Twitch who takes a pretty big chunk of it.

Has anyone seen the close up and slowed down version of the Kilmarnock keeper fouling Ajeti in the box.
It’s brilliant footage which will definitely clear Ajeti of diving.
It shows clearly the keeper striking Ajeti on the ankle and then his foot hits his own heal and Ajeti goes down for a penalty.
That was my argument before, the keeper was too close to Ajeti for a disciplinary panel to all conclusively say that Ajeti definitely dived.
Now the evidence is there to prove that he didn’t dive.

It will all end in embarrassment for the SFA.
They’ve recently been forced to discipline one club because the Scottish referees refuse to discipline them on the park.
Celtic players don’t normally get retrospective bans because they either get punished on the pitch or our players get cited for silly incidents which get thrown out and today is another example of it because Celtic will win our appeal.

Apparently Roofe is up for review also I think we will find because SFA will not do anything with Ajeti they will let Roofe off also because the knuckle draggers would be up in arms if Ajeti got off and Roof got a ban.

You can get false negatives and false positives, that United player should have been quarantined for ten days since he tested positive, that negative test could have been a false negative, the powers that be need to get the rules sorted, it seems to be a shambles at the minute.

Buzz, my mother wouldn’t let me go to the 7-1 game, although my big brother was allowed, as I was too wee! I never forgave her! I was considered ‘pbig’ enough after that and suffered the next seven seasons never seeing Celtic win a trophy. It was so bad that when we drew the second half of a friendly against Real Madrid (they beat us 3-1) we celebrated as if we’d won the European Cup! Jimmy McGrory was the manager through all that until the arrival of it Jock and his position was never under threat.

My dad was only 7 years old and he only started going to the games after the 7-1 game.
He was 15 before he witnessed Celtic winning a trophy.
McGrory was obviously a brilliant player but it’s been mentioned he didn’t work on any tactics when he was the manager of Celtic.
Big Jock changed everything.

Buzz I was 8 years old when beat them 7-1 I remember it as if was yesterday. In those days you only got the second half commentary, my father was at the game and my mother was visiting a neighbour (rangers fans) , when the commentary started the commentator said its 3-1 to rangers my wee heart sank and when Celtic scored he said it’s now 4-1 to Celtic then 5,6,7 I ran out of the house shouting Maw it’s 7-1 to Celtic tears running down my cheeks. What made it more enjoyable was the local newsagent was owned by rangers legend Jock Shaw when I went to get the pink times and green citizen there was a queue of Celtic fans waiting for the papers to arrive then Jock appeared face longer than London road what an experience and to be honest it was probably the happiest day my Celtic supporting life.

I can remember only getting the second half commentary on the radio in the 80s.
After all these years and Celtic 7 Rangers 1 is still a record margin in any National final in Scotland Or England.
No wonder the Rangers fans tried to get the game abandoned when Celtic scored our 7th goal.
