Ed asked earlier about young Forrest being in champions league squad and you replied that you have already answered this but I scrolled down and can't see it I wouldn't be asking if I knew the answer! any chance you could leave a msg and let me know sorry to be a pain cheers mate

{Ed007's Note - Forrest is included in the B list which is drawn up from players under the age of 21 who have been trained by the club for an uninterrupted period of two years since their 15th birthday.
The List B players are:

Bahrudin Atajic; Joe Chalmers; James Forrest; Marcus Fraser; Paul George; John Herron and Filip Twardzik

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Forrest hasn't played in Europe since the defensive error against Barca, with ten seconds to go, giving Barca the win.

Agree2 Disagree5

@1, was it no Kayal that f**ked up?

Agree0 Disagree3

@2; I think wee james was ball watching was he not?. . . green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree0

He hasn't played since then because he was injured! How do you not know that?

Agree2 Disagree0

@3, I think you're right mate, I think Kayal lost Possession though no long after coming on that lead to the goal.

Alright Ed I hear that the appeal for the tax case will be held in London, do you know where the original case was heard? Just thinking the taxman might have a more favourable result outwith Scotland, if you know what I mean.

Briggs {Ed007's Note - The FTT sat in Edinburgh.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Yes, London QCs not Edinburgh.

Agree2 Disagree0

It's a political hot potato now its discussed and minuted in the Houses of Parliament? That sort of thing scares off foreign Johnnies looking for furtive secret investments don't you know?

Did any one else find jabba's ramblings on Snyde quite enlightening? Not by what he said, which was standard piebrox party line, but by what he did not say. When asked about the rumour that the £22m share cash is not in The rangers bank account he claimed that was rubbish, this was handled by brokers so to think that was stupid. But Jabba, is it in the The rangers account? Is it resting, a la father Ted, in one of the many different accounts with the name rangers in it? Is it in the trading account of the football club?
He also claims regarding the HMRC appeal, that this is nothing to do with the current club and they can't get cash from the old as it is liquidated. Not true. If HMRC can prove collusion in moving assets to safety, "gratuitous alienation", the sale of those assets can be voided. All it takes is HMRC to contact the creditors and legally challenge the sale. Piebrox and Murray Park, even in break up figures, were worth much more than £5.5m. BDO will have a huge part to play in this when they investigate the sale.
Next is Keevins. After a direct attack on some reporters in Scotland, calling them second rate, Keevins brushed it off. If you or I had called in and said this he, I am sure, would have defended his colleagues in the press. Seems the old boy network still thrives. Might have been interesting if the reporter asked him to name names but I suppose you have to be good at your job to do that, just as well she was second rate eh Jim?. . . . green jhedi

Believable5 Unbelievable0

GJ, I couldn't believe what I was listening to even the most deluded deady bear must be wondering what is going on behind the scenes at piebrox? As for keevins his predictions & general knowledge of Scottish football is laughable totally clueless p*ss poor bottom drawer stuff. The blazers at the sfa you referred to the other day & the press in this country are absolutely culpable for the state of the national game. Long may internet bampots keep showing up these leeches & parasites for what they really are a self serving bunch of chancers mate. AbS

Just reading up on the latest from the darkside where the Taxman is now lodging his appeal. The EBT's were not illegal because they were loans? Excuse me. How many institutions give out loans without collateral, without a plan for repayment and certainly over some of the periods of time which they were out there, expect at least some of it paid back? How many loans went to the Rangers backroom staff at the canteen etc. And how many Rangers supporters received one? I hope the Taxman has got his case together this time and that the people reviewing it are from an independent institution and not from within the ranks as it were! And the SFA (who are the custodians of the rules) are still silent. TinyTim

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Correct TT. What's going on here is a micro look at how an independent Scotland would be run by these people. No rule of law nor regulations, or bending both beyond belief to suit the agenda.
If its the same Rangers then pay up the debt especially tens of millions in social taxes. If no liability stop calling it Rangers and claiming titles bought with liquidated debt.

Agree5 Disagree0

No one would have joined the dead club if they weren't getting the EBT payments. Their declared earnings were too low and below their rates at the time.
No interest, no repayments, no loan security, offshore not typical loans onshore. Why were they channel island loans and not Glasgow loans?
Everything to avoid social taxes and allow rangers victory on an uneven financial playing field against all other clubs.

Agree6 Disagree0

I think HMRC argument is the 2nd contract regarding EBT, is actually a contract of employment. jj

Bhoys/Ghirls and wee Pat, see there are lots of stories coming out that some investors have not come forward with their cash. Others might be suing the old/new/international club.
HMRC have now been given permission to appeal BTC and have already done so.
Looks like we may have a very nice February 14 all over again. not very "rosy" down Govan way.
History DOES repeat itself! Timalloy

Believable13 Unbelievable1

What ya going to do when the 2nd tribunal comes to the same conclusion? VHSS

Agree0 Disagree7

Just roumors tim. Just let them get on with it. Watching them Saturday they've a hell of a long way to go.

Agree4 Disagree0

@VHSS; Why do some fans of the The rangers think they got away scot free in the first EBT hearing? Was it not around 30% were found guilty?. . green jhedi

04 Feb 2013 18:37:50
VHSS hope you have a "betamix" of lawyers this time. This court hearing will be in London and will cost £thousands, cannot see Murray footing this bill, oops Chuckie has more funds draining away.
Wee question for you video man or any other ex bears, are you confident of winning this time? Timalloy

Anyone know where I can see footage of Roy Keane during his brief stint in the hoops? I was out the country at the time, and never been able to find any kind of decent footage to date. Thanks. pea

Believable0 Unbelievable1

(Re Pea) don't waste your time there is no decent footage as he contributed absolutely nothing to celtic. jimbhoy

Agree4 Disagree1

Pea check out his debut at piebrox, him & lenny run the show mate without getting out of 2nd gear. Pity he was on his last legs & we didn't get to see him a few seasons sooner. His performance against juve for Manchester United was one of the best I have ever seen from any player in the modern era imo, booked & out of the final in the same match the guy had it all. AbS

Agree1 Disagree0

Had a great game at ibrox jimbhoy we won 1 nil majic wae the only goal

gunniebhoy

Agree2 Disagree0

How can anyone say that Keane contributed nothing to Celtic. The whole Club got a lift when he signed and the performance levels rose, apart from one match.

A mans body has been fished from the river clyde, he was wearing a Rangers scarf, stockings, suspenders, a bra and red lipstick and had a vibrator stuck up his a***. Strathclyde police have removed the Rangers scarf to save any embarrassment to his family.

Seems there is a story floating in the Ether that all might not be rosy in chuckies garden. Strong talk of a group of "investors"from the far east are looking for payment, for what? who knows, but are considering the legal option. Might they be owed a chunk of chuckies £22m share issue? Might they have loaned chuckie the money to buy the The rangers? Nah, can't be, chuckie claimed in his prospectus they were debt free. ED 007; you seen or heard anything of this mate? {Ed007's Note - Speaking too often and too quickly erodes the value of each individual word spoken.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

ED007; Thanks mate, I think I will read between the lines!. . . green jhedi

ED007/Green Jhedi, I read yesterday that the £22m raised is due to be deposited in Chuckie's bank account this week. He was very vociferous about raising this money, so why is he now not telling the world and his wife the money is in his grasp.
Also read the far east story with interest.
Just to keep the pot boiling, so to speak, I hear Chuckie is in Dubai this week. Why? Timalloy

Agree1 Disagree1

@ Timalloy; I just assumed he was at this meeting of the ECA he was banging on about. Although it is a place notorious for shady dealing!I caught that story about tha cash this morning, very interesting, let's see if any one asks the question, or is Dubai a tactic for getting out of the way? The other interesting thing was the wedge that supposedly exists between green and murray the director. You just get the feeling chuckies house of cards might just be entering a windy place!. . . green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree0

I thought Jabba told fans reps recently that the share issue only raised £10m for the club?
Has anyone actually got share certificates?

Agree2 Disagree0

There's no real money to go into Rangers now. It's all there.
If it's not enough or there's poor management, overspending or not obvious payments. . Then it could come crashing down again but there needs to be a blame focus. . Last time it was Whyte, who curiously was content to take the blame. . now who? Foreign Asian businessmen? Is a blame focus being worked by these rumours?

Ed with this survey the club are asking us to do, are they worried about fans not buying season tickets next year, hopefully good performances against juve will keep fans coming back. don't see the point of the signing of gershon or the keeper as they won't play, I am looking for the next signing we make to be a player that will walk into the team right away, I know we sign young players with potential but we need to sign a proven player and ideally a centre half and when hoops goes a perm replacement and no more loan signings what do you think

Believable3 Unbelievable2

We are in a terrible time worldwide financially, and the facts are you don't need a season ticket to see home games any more. I can see it getting worse next season as disposable income becomes less for an average family. My own mate is finding it really tight and having to work a lot of Saturdays the fact his two girls are older and going to clubs etc is also a factor. If you live a bit away from Celtic Park there is the travelling costs and snacks, maybe a pint, it all adds up. Bleedin shame proper fans are being priced away from the game. . . green jhedi

Agree7 Disagree0

04 Feb 2013 16:19:57
@Green Jhedi, totally agree about the prices. I have 3 season tickets but thinking about this for next year, also like your pal my two teenagers are also now going to clubs etc. (help!)
I posted last year about trying something similar to the Germans.
Your ticket gets you a match programme and say a burger and coke (or similar) obviously work out cost of each then set a decent price.
Also I posted about clubs looking at running coaches as well. Travelling to games, even at Parkhead can be costly. All clubs should be looking at attracting more fans by offering the complete package of travel, tickets, programme and food.
Celtic in particular could also offer say 5000 tickets at no more than £15 adult £5 concession. Better that than empty seats.
Smaller clubs should be looking at the full package for a set price that suits fans and the clubs. Timalloy

Agree3 Disagree0

@Timalloy; If my mates kids were old enough to club he would be okay mate! There 8 and 9 and going to dance club, karate club and swimming every weekend, it's a nightmare for him! works out around £10-15 a pop every time they leave the house. He stays in Dumbarton and the petrol is a killer for him as well. His wife, a nurse, takes Saturday work too as financially they are feeling it. There must be thousands like him. . . green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

PL needs to put £3m aside and lower season tickets 25% next season and fill the stadium.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Feb 2013 00:26:56
I wish we could afford a season ticket but we just can't. Pay and hours are crap just now. Seems salaries are staying the sane or lowering, yet everything is more expensive. Close to getting rid of the family car, so getting to matches just now is very low in priorities. Sad times
