hi ed whats your thoughts on, I think that celtic could n should sell both, wanyama & ki for hopefully 12 mil upwards,my feeling that IF they were to get that kind of money then the board would take7 to wipe the debt out then give lenny the balance to bring in striker/cb,
then IF celtic were to progress to cl groups then there would be more money in the pot for neil?
I wouldnt be too upset with that but will wait for the guys to slaughter me,
hows you ed?
marty bhoy stay fit big man {Ed007's Note - I'm good thanks Marty, I hope you are well mate. It would make good business sense to pay off the debt, although it is manageable, we all know how PL thinks. The club had accepted Ki would be leaving this summer but the interest in Wanyama was unexpected, I would be happy with what you suggest though. Bring in 2/3 quality players and also clearing the debt would be a good summer IMO, especially if we can reach the CL group stages.}

Back from game today only one thing to say, bin the black socks, they look terrible and every time we've worn them this season we've played the same way, the hoops should always be worn with white socks....Stevie

Does that new home strip make the likes of Hooper, Izzy, Rogne And Commons look Fat Or are most of the Celtic team carrying a few extra pounds..?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Wouldn't matter what Commons wears he is fat. Seriously unfit looking for a footballer. But I suppose it means he enjoyed his Summer.

second half proved today we need wanyama in midfield on wednesday.renew rogne and mulgrew partnership at the back.how does the faithful feel .

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Totally agree about wanyama m8 been since the inter game he should be in cm nowhere else as for wed personally a would start wae lustic at cb with mulgrew instead of rogne but am guessin it wil be rogne all depends on wether brown starts on wed wether its rogne or wanyama at cb

Just back from game, overall marks "must do better".. we looked sluggish
and how many times did ball get passed backwards instead of to onrunning players? Hooper/Stokes did not seem on same wavelength.

Anyway on to Helsinki, I will take another Celtic 1-0 win there also
Listened to Radio Snyde on way home (I know!) and usual from Delahunt etc.. Rangers playing 3rd division teams is GOOD for Scottish football, they will give all these wee diddy teams big pay days.

Well Jim, here is a wee suggestion, why don't Radio Snyde actually PAY to broadcast every game on a Saturday like BBC? Delahunt and his likes are parasites, leeching off Scottish football.

Green Jhedi, I agree with your post about Wattie the cardigan, and yes
Hugh why did you not ask him about his EBT? But GJ, don't you think that
this article by Wattie shows how worried they are getting, and they are
getting excuses in early "Oh I was told it was legal" " We only did what accountants told us"...

Hey Wattie look BEHIND you, here comes the other boys in blue....
Timalloy

Believable2 Unbelievable5

100% agree Tim.Smith and Dodds the night before seem to be very eager to claim all was above board.Yet Dodds when asked live in march claimed he did not have an EBT payment.Walter on the other hand, like Ally, has skated through with out one reporter asking them if they had an EBT payment. This is nothing short of incredible,as this has been the major talking point in Scottish football for months! It really makes you wonder if these rumours of serious improprieties might have a grain of truth to them..........green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree3

Why did it take so long for duff and pelts to send paper work joes bhoy

The Chuckle brothers strike again.
To you - To Me.

"Why did you not ask him about his EBT?"

What EBT would that be exactly?

Pair of Twonks the both of you.
Still infatuated with the Blue side.. Get a life.

See our resident troll is back again. We are still waiting on answers from you about YOU putting your hands in your pocket and buying a season ticket. You can dodge all the questions asked of you but want answers from us.
Some of your ex employees will soon be in court answering some very awkward questions over EBT'S.
Never mind POB you will probably get a bigger attendance at High court than at Ibrokes. By the way has your ex club got banking facilities yet, or is still all cash only, very professional? (NOT) Timalloy

Agree5 Disagree2

Why does it matter and frankly who cares how Rangers paid Walter Smith. At the end of the day the recipient does nothing wrong. In fact until the result of the BTC is public knowledge there is no reason to even question how he was paid.

Agree2 Disagree5

05 Aug 2012 11:32:12
POB; Normally i dont reply to your posts as life is too short to read your rambling, deflecting nonsense, but once again your posting rubbish. You quote""why not ask him about his EBT",you then counter with "what EBT would that be". Thats the point! Dont you think rangers fans deserve to know if smith was receiving payments? As non playing staff i would not think the SFA/SPL would be interested.

On the other hand if he was receiving payments while employed by Scotland or Everton would you be happy at walter taking money from your skint club? Please no incoherent ambiguous "your missing my point" post as per usual.Answer one question. would you be ok with walter being paid money while employed by someone else? Do keep popping over to the Champions page though, and remember this...we are not laughing with you,we are laughing at you.........green jhedi

hi ed, i posted on the club formerly known as rangers' site earlier and it wasnt put up. but i see they are in for vignal again. last time he was there he received £173,000 in EBT's, do you think he would qualify for these loans again? or is the 3rd division too lowly for these kind of payments? :D

Good points:- Getting the 3 points, Green Brigade non-stop chanting (even when we were awful), Commons and Wanyama, Jamie Langfields blunder and Sly panel looking sick as a parrot after the game.
Bad points:- Too many off-form (including drastic decline in Izzy and Stokes), Aimless punts up the park and throw-ins up the line giving away possession, Lack of sparkle and tempo in a 'Flag Unfurling' home opener. We used to revel in such special celebrations and KO with a flurry.

Generally:-
We seem to be starting seasons very sluggishly and too many players are well short of what's expected.
Why play Wanyama at CB when Wilson was available as it deprived us of his midfield influence for too long? Really think we need a better striking option as well; as we look very predictable at times, not to mention the obvious CB deficiency. We will get sharper but at the moment we do not look CL class.

Must do better Celts...

Jungle Jim

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I was saying the same JJ..the last few seasons we are always slow to start and look very sluggish. There wasn't much movement from some of the players. Aberdeen were always going to be right up for this, they chased every ball and closed us down everytime. We were very lucky and actually feel a bit sorry for Jamie Langfield but thats the game. afternoon troops. 3 points in the bag , we looked sluggish most of the game and need to be a helluva lot better on wed.nice to see NL changing things when its not going our way. personally thought he left it too late at times last season.ppl keep going on about vic and ki leaving , think it will happen, but would hate to see young matthews leaving as i think this boy is class. like i said 3 points ,onwards to wed.........bhoywonder

Happy we got the win today but we wer not good enough, and if we play like that on wednesday we might get ourselfs in alot of trouble. Why didnt the likes of watt and mcgeouch come on instead of murphy and mccout. Stokes, mccourt, murphy and wilson ar not good enough they need to go and i think we should move sammy on too. Mulgrew needs and strong CB with him at the back. We need to bring someone in whos good enough to play up cf on his own and leave gary hooper for league games and as an impact sub in CL. I think we should play 4-3-3. If ki and big vic leave we ar still left with great midfeilders. Team id like to see before transfer window shuts. Forster, matthews, mulgrew, strong CB, Matthews, ledley, kayal, brown, commons, new CF good enough to play by himself, and forrest. Thats the team id like to see if big vic and ki leave, along with stokes and etc. Id like us to bring in russell and someone like tempelton aswell. Ino alot of people wont agree with me but we wont last in euorpe if we play like this.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Wee questions ...Was Stokes any worse than Hooper today . What did Paddy do wrong when he came on, what did Murphy do wrong when he came on ,what did McGeouch do to warrant a start ahead of McCourt , how could you replace Samaras with a better player for the money Celtic have to spend and finally do you see Forrest starting ahead of a fit Sammy or Commons ?.... Not great today but 3 points in the bag. Felt the game changed when
Paddy came on. Love the Paddy song the fans sing hope Neil and the board
are listening. JK

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Ya right, paddy is not good enough for us and we need to move him on. Did you see him try a beat a guy and just stop running after the ball to complain to one of our own players when it didn't work out? The song is catchy but dont complain when we play bad and waste a sub on him, it is so dumb how ppl would sell ki and others before him when he just doesn't give it his all. This obsession needs to stop, yes he has talent and all but we have better players in team and youth then him and we need the cash to use on a better player.

shockin performance ano its 3 points but apart from commons agen we lacked any type of attackin threat izzy looks a diff player from before that leg break in a bad way we looked better wen wanyama moved inty cm wer he should be apart from that cant see many positives 2 take out the game other than 3 points hardly fills ye with confidence for wed wen we couldnt even break down aberdeen

Listening to Clyde on way home from work and Keevins and King were banging on about how The Rangers will go through the 3rd Division unbeaten and score more than 100 goals. Why don't they just bend over and be done with it?

Jungle Bhoy.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Jungle Bhoy, Any idea how many celtic minded people work for Radio Snyde. Im struggling to think of any apart from Andy Walker.... CM

Andy Walker? now theres a guy i would use a big baseball bat on. that guy is starting to get as bad as craig burley!!

Andy walker has always been shocking as a pundit or co commentator always having snide remarks regarding celtic, and like the rest of them pro rangers just appeasing their employers i suppose.personally i wouldn,t let any of them inside celtic park.

How on earth will rangers score more than a hundread goal when they aint even got a proper striker lmao

If Celtic want to progress in CL Berra should never be a name on anyones lips he's a nightmare with Scotland and wolves one mediocre season in spl got his move to very poor wolves side in my opinion Lustig could do a job a centre back
