This season is finished there is no chance that we will see football for at least 3 to 6 months and the the aftermath of destruction it has left is horrendous. only a vaccine or a cure will save this epidemic so many people have lost loved one and jobs. I pray to God every day for a miracle as I can't understand what is going on. I hope every club pulls through this nightmare and I keep my rosary beads round my neck to all the tims out there I hope your safe it dark time and evil is all around keep safe hail hail.

No club, and I mean no club, will pull through, when the players are expecting their normal wages and at the same time all club's, and I mean all clubs do not have any income, .

I know that they have a legal contract with the club and their game time as a profession is relatively short but surely they can see that if they don't agree to take a pay cut then there contracts might not mean nothing if there club goes under altogether I would just hope that UEFA would step in and sit down with players union in all countries and come up with a compromise before clubs start to fold.

There already will be a vaccine for the rich and powerful. Us normal folk are way down the pecking order. Boris and Charlie's infected was just fake news. We all will be fine as Betty Saxon-Coburg-Gotta will address the nation today.

Read somewhere that FIFA is sitting down with the Chancellor of the UK to see what bail out he can give them.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2020 22:22:25
I think the Chancellor has more important people to see than FIFA and far greater problems . Football will be low on the Government rescue list . The Country is on its knees, vast number of industries are closed down, people are confined to house and town centers are really ghost town .

Figures of people been confirmed as suffering from Corona19 are not near accurate. Deaths from virus are seriously under reported . Only those who are admitted to hospital in a reasonable state of health are actually tested . People who die outside of hospital and those very seriously ill that are not tested have death by pneumonia on their certificates.

In a couple of weeks people my age will have no chance of treatment, we will be cast to one side awaiting undertaker.

{Ed033's Note - Old man Chris, sounds like you're going to get ill from worry if you continue to watch the mainstream news.

I don't know about all you guys, but one good thing about lockdown is how good my bank balance is, what with not going out to pub, restaurant, bookie, cinema etc and no football or racing to bet on.
When this ends we will all be fekin MILLIONAIRES lol
PS OK I forgot about the charity bet today, got £22 back which of course went to NHS.

Lads how do you go about claiming universal credit.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2020 13:47:00
U need to set up an online account. Google universal credit then click apply and it will take u through it. What I don't get is why they need all the details they ask for. It comes from the government so im pretty sure they have my earnings on record and mine and my families medical history etc.

Go into Gov.UK or 1 of the many help forums on benefits and it's all there. Due to the focus it probably will all be done by phone calls and a few letters.

Agustus you can apply for an advance, it comes off the payment you receive in june or they can take it back monthly. Get back onto them they should've offered you it.

I wish it was only losing a week’s wage that I had to worry about . My worry is by the time I take the virus they will only have the equipment and medicine to treat the youngsters under 60 and old boys like me will be put into a side room to await the undertaker . I won’t even be tested for the virus as I will be judged too Ill by the time I am let near the hospital. This is happening already, Sen . Doctors are filling in death certificates as death from pneumonia.
Don’t trust any news coming out. Doctors are afraid not to follow Government Instructions and so all sorts of lies are coming out, all better news than what is actually happening.

I've made my position clear since the day we suspended the league. I don't think it's fair for a team to be declared winners and another to be relegated when neither are set in stone. I'll celebrate if we are given it but would much rather win it on the park. However, it's starting to look like the SPFL are dithering on making a decision because they're terrified of UEFA. Part of me would love all of the leagues (outside the "Big 5") to tell that gang of crooks to poke it.

I'm in the same boat as you Kev. I think the season should be finished whenever possible. I'd take us being crowned champions over a null and void though. It would be interesting to see what UEFA would do if FAs did declare things finished. Maybe they could just have their wee elite Euro league after all.

The season will be finished👍.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2020 21:31:49
I don't think the SPFL are as scared of UEFA, as they are of upsetting their bale-out club and their sympathisers.
However, I agree that most of us would much prefer to see us actually winning the title in style and continuing our brilliant run.

Unfortunately, the longer the delay, the more chance of administration and bankruptcy for struggling clubs, because we may follow the English lead and suspend games indefinitely.

Then of course, there's a chance the summer transfer window may be due to open as well - adding more complications?

One way or another Celtic will win the league and leaked reports mentioned the Scottish cup will be played to a finish at some stage. Which means we will still get the chance of a Quadruple Treble.
It got me thinking about how cool it would be for Celtic to win all domestic honours for 5 seasons in a row.
Sevco are displaying the 5 tainted stars from Rangers. It looks silly for obvious reasons especially since Celtic have won 50 legitimate titles.
I think there will be only one cup competition next season to add to 10 in a row. It would still mean Celtic will have won every domestic honour for 5 seasons in a row.
Does anyone think that would be enough for the tribute act to take away the silly tainted 5 stars or will they wait until Celtic have won their 60th title?

Looks like the Belgium league have back tracked on declaring the league finished? Even though this could not pass us by for another 6 months we just sit back and wait while players are getting less fit and contracts running out and tv deals running out and kit manufacturers contracts changing. (BTW who is making the newbies strips next season? ) 😂 so how long do we wait?

How long does uefa want clubs associations and fans to wait? Our players only got about 4 weeks off even after that they need 4-5 weeks preseason to get back upto speed so how long will players need to get up to match fitness after 3-4-5 months off?

OK Bhoys/ Ghirls ITV are showing the "Virtual Grand National" today at 5pm on the main ITV channel (STV Scotland)
ALL bookmaker profits are being
donated to NHS and you can donate also as well as having a wee bet on race, maximum allowed is £10 or £10each way. This race is unique and because of the charity nature of it, bookmakers are NOT ALLOWED to shorten the price of any horse despite lots of money going on a horse.
It has been reported that oodles of money is being placed on Kimberlite Candy 16/ 1, horse I was going to bet on REAL race was Burroughs Saint 12/ 1. All bookies go 5 places.
Why not relieve the lockdown boredom AND help the NHS.

Timalloy as someone who has a big interest in horse racing I can’t take this virtual stuff seriously. I realise it’s problably a bit of fun for some, but not everyone has an online account like me, so with the betting shops closed its unfair on the ordinary punter who can’t get a bet on this cartoon version of the National. And to be honest with bookmakers informing people that there has been heavy betting on certain horses, come on you can’t take that information seriously, but if people want to have a bet so be it, I’ll hold on to my money until racing resumes. Best of luck if you do have a bet.

04 Apr 2020 14:07:42
@oldkilly I am looking at it more as a donation to NHS as all profits bookies make go there.
I generally do not like these "cartoon" races as you call them, but the last 3 years they did this before the REAL race they had a winner, 2nd and a third placed. A great deal of thought goes into these events and the computer is "impartial" although it is only as good as the information put into it.
To relieve the boredom and help a good cause I have put my £20 quid on.

Going to be a bit of a killjoy here. I've the greatest amount of respect for the NHS, the doctors, nurses and all others who work within that fabulous establishment. But, donating to the NHS is a no no for me when times are like this. The Government ran down the NHS to the point that it's in the state it's in. We all (or most of us) pay through our National Insurance Contributions for the care and attention we need, but the amount of money that the Chancellor dished out could quite easily have paid for the PPE and antigens that the NHS needed. That could have been done over a period of time with the amount of reserves that have been getting built up and all the money that was available - but HS2 versus funding for the NHS was the final straw.

I'll probably get slated for my views but I've been around long enough to see where the main problem lies. I pay into charities and always will, but I ain't doing the job the Government should have been doing in the first place anyway.

If the bookmakers are going to donate all profits to the NHS from today’s virtual national, money that punters are placing today, why just today they have made hundreds of millions over the years, if they are that concerned about the NHS they should have donated before today.

Over on laughland they want the season declared "null and void" but want the prize money for their efforts😂😂😂.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Apr 2020 10:52:51
The only reason they want the season scrapped is because they are getting pumped and know they are not in any title race. If they genuinely thought they had a chance they would be desperate for the season to resume. Their position that games should not be played behind closed doors proves this.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Apr 2020 15:22:25
I would prefer to play the remaining games but if it stands as it is so be it. Their anger pain jealousy seeps out every pore and it's delightful. I keep hearing the we weren't in the league so those titles are tainted. It completely goes over their thick heads that since they got into the top tier we have won everything so it's been easier for us with them in it!

If that lot were top and in the Scottish cup semis they would be screaming from their lodges sewers and swamps demanding they be made champions but alas that day will never come as I can't see them ever winning the title.
