I think PL made a mistake in the transfer window not signing the land Ivan Tony. He has just scored again for brentford in the championship. What I see of him watching highlights of championship games, he would have been the ideal replacement for Edouard next season. He plays like Dembele. What's yer thoughts on Ivan Tony?

Cork Paul how do we know that is was Peter the tightar$e Lawell (that’s his official clan name by the way and registered as such with companies house in Edinburgh) that made a MISTAKE and that Ivan (also known as Tony the Terrible from the steppes) ) was desperate to wear the green and white hoops and all his life and wanted to play for nobody other than the world famous Glasgow Celtic?

Toney is scoring goals for Brentford but it would have been a gamble for us to have paid an awful lot of money for a league one player.
Ajeti has played at a decent level and it remains to be seen once he is fit whether we made the right call or not
I think the goalkeeper Barkas was probably a bigger mistake as from what I've seen of him doesn't look any better than Forster, Gordon, or Bain, who were here last season.

Give the guy a chance to settle Gerry.

Henriks. Hopefully he will prove me wrong, I hope he does. I'm only commenting on what I've seen so far.
I just feel that when you spend a lot of money on a player you should be able to see signs that he is an improvement on what you already have and from the games I've seen he doesn't inspire me with confidence.

Only went for £5m too plus some hefty add ons. Will be one that got away he would've scored for fun up here.

The griff called up might give him some game time.

@Mally yes I do not mind his call up as he needs game minutes but surely Celtic must ask players like Ajer who is recovering from injury NOT to travel with Norway and stay in Scotland to boost his recovery.
Same with Biton and El Hamed surely club should be saying to them "look what happened last time you went abroad, stay in scotland"

Celtic have suffered more than most, directly and indirectly from these inconvenient health-risking round-the-world trips and I was hoping the club would make a stand as it's pretty flamin obvious nobody else gives a damn about our players after what just happened.

Lets not forget that the players have the final choice.
They are ambitious and playing for their country is an honour and another step in their career.

That said, after seeing what has happened recently, players (or anyone for that matter) should also consider their own health and that of their families, friends and colleagues before travelling abroad.

No way that ajer should be allowed go with Norway. If the lad is not fit to play for Celtic who pays his wages then he is injuried and u unavailable. Also the like of eddy, bitton and el hamed who are only recovered from C.V. should be told no u r staying here. I bet u see the other mop players will suddenly be injuried and unavailable. Iike they did before they played us.

Obviously our players are conscientious and patriotic, but sometimes there has to be common sense and lessons learned from experience during an emergency situation or possible risk.
Football Associations wouldn't sent teams to a 'war zone' and between CV out of control and increasing Terror Attacks - it's time to stop.

Was in the schoolboys’ enclosure in 1960 and it seemed that every time you turned to say something to your mate somebody scored a goal!
Seven years later I attended every home game in that amazing season.
Heady days, but a quadruple treble would be pretty heady as well.

Cokey,
Can you remember Real Madrid getting the softest penalty ever received.
First of all the challenge was outside the box plus the German only put in a shoulder challenge and the referee gave a penalty.

I see BFKB is doubling down on his opinion that what the Aberdeen and Celtic players did was worse than what Jones and Edmundson did. There's a surprise. A true beacon of journalistic integrity.

I have no idea if this is true or not but I have read that up to 7 Sevco players were at that party.

Tbh Tony I hope that's not true because I don't want anything to jeopardise the football because it's one of the only things that resembles normality just now. Even if 7 of them had gone, for me it doesn't reflect any worse for the club. Us, Aberdeen and Rangers have all acted impeccably with regards to the 3 incidents in question and I don't think going to a house party is any better or worse than going out on the cobbles or going to Spain. The deceit from the players is the same regardless.

I agree Kev but IF its true then the same rules have to be applied I am not blaming Sevco IF it's true as a club they are not at fault but as far as the rules go the club would have to self isolate surely IF TRUE.

It's all went very quiet as they look high and wide for a big, big carpet - unlike the furore and witch-hunt that emanated after ours and Aberdeen's indiscretions.
