Great to see so many positive posts and responses right now. Anyone think we can get a result on Thursday? If so, how do we go about it? Keep the faith in the new starters? Trust in our newly competent back line and absorb what they have? I can see a result but damned if I'd like to set the team up for this one.

I’d stick with the same lineup and game plan. European ties are always different at home than they are away and with a full house getting right behind the team, we have a chance against most teams. I think that’s BR’s philosophy and whilst we’ve taken a few hidings along the way, we’ll get better at dealing with this level of opposition. We had a huge amount of possession against Zenit last year at CP and they’re no mugs.

Everytime Leipzig go through on goal. Blind them with the disco light's.

If the team can keep there head and cut out the silly mistakes then I would be confident that the team from weekend can get a result.

Think he'll put ntcham in for Christie and that's no slite in the boy but we'll need natural midfield players.

Will be interesting to see how Benkovic plays in Europe against a good footballing team.

Hello, fellow Celts. Another impressive win today. Glad to see players like Christie taking their chances when they are presented. We really seem to kicking it up a gear, and I was just wondering if anyone else has wondered about Scott Brown's impact on the center of the park. Is it possible that his absence has actually been a sort of blessing in disguise? What I mean by that is - I wonder if his injury has given other players a chance to step up, rather than play a cup game or a home game against the bottom half of the table. I think Scott Brown is everything that a Celtic player should be, but has anyone else thought about this, or am I way off? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Was going to pose a similar question. Either way you cut it the tempo, energy and ultimately the performances speak for themselves over the last few games.

That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s down to Broony. Think about the hammerings we dished out to Sevco last year and the tempo of our game in these fixtures when Broony was instrumental in our performances. It’s inevitable that he’ll bow out at some point in the next few years and it’s great that we appear to have his successor already in place but I think he’s still got a good year or two left in him.

I agree, as much as I love Brown I don't think he can expect to walk straight back into the starting 11 on current form.

It will be interesting to see who plays in the middle of the park when all of the center midfielders are healthy. The way certain players have picked up the slack, it seems like a nice problem to have. Hail hail!

I don't think any player should walk straight back in to team, especially when we are flying but I don't think it's down to Brown being out that we are.
Almost every player was playing below par at the start of the season and there wasn't a great feeling around the club.
But now everyone seems to have shrugged off that feeling. I thunk there has been some serious clear the air meetings gone on.
Now all players look to be getting back to their best and getting their confidence back.
An other part is that guys like Boyd and others have made our Bhoys angry and that was a big mistake.

It goes without saying Brown is a Celtic legend but l have to agree that the pace of the game has changed since his injury. Now not for a second am l saying it is because he is out but we seem to have an urgency now to get the ball forward and at pace which wasn't there before. Callum has been sensational in the holding role and looks made for that position. Maybe Brown can slot in beside him when he returns but it's going to be very hard for him to get back with the team in this form.

Think broony will go straight in we done the double treble with him so there can't be too much wrong.

04 Nov 2018 14:22:48
We have players that can replace Broony with ability but do we have anyone that comes close to his passion? I know that emotions aren't everything but when they're wrapped up in a package of ability, determination and experience then a fit Broony is a more difficult player to replace. HH.

04 Nov 2018 23:06:14
Totally agree Bob, he’s a great captain and for that reason I think he’ll go straight back in. He’s got that air of confidence and authority about him that great leaders have and that can have a massive effect in key moments in a game. One day Tierney or McGregor will take over the mantle but neither of them have the personality yet to do what he does.

Wow! I'm going to put my neck on the line and say these past 4 or 5 games is the best football we've played since BR came in. I'd have no problem going into the Leipzig game with McGregor and Christie in CM. The tempo and fluidity recently has been frightening and the rest of the league should be very, very worried. Unfortunately there is one negative and that's Hearts. Just in general, they're absolutely toxic from top to bottom. It was as if their players were trying to outdo their fans' show of thuggery on Wednesday night, with a special shoutout to the coward Haring who purposely injured Lewis Morgan.

I really thought we'd have sorted out this split in the dressing room by now but this result shows if anything it's getting worse. We just seem to be winning by bigger margins all the time. Fair play to Boydy though, he spotted it before any of the rest of us.

Well said Neil Lennon the problem is indeed Scotland's shame not yours. How you've been treated since your arrival in this country makes me ashamed to be Scottish. I went to a debate at Edinburgh University when he was receiving bullets through the post, attacked in Glasgow streets and attacked at Tynecastle which the perpetrators were found not guilty of despite being witnessed by 30,000. The question was 'Does Scotland have a problem with institutionalised anti-catholicism? '' Their was overwhelming agreement it does. As professor Tom Devine said at the debate 'The problem is the TIM is no longer keeping his head down'. I hope your name rings around Celtic Park today against Hearts. Take comfort Neil from knowing they hate us for the same reasons they hate you.

Mate, you can’t even be a non catholic supporter in this country. Years of abuse I took from cousins and uncles for being a Celtic fan and a supposed proddy. My dad, a mason, took awkward questions from the same family members asking what he wasn’t playing at letting me be a Celtic fan.

He wasn’t even a rangers fan, Caley was his local team And took me to many games. Never any Celtic ones though 😂.

Yermawsbaws your spot on my friend. They aren’t intelligent enough as make a distinction between being Catholic or a Celtic supporter and see both as the same thing. If you wear a green and white scarf you’re a Fenian and fair game in their eyes as Neil Lennon said. I have a few good friends who are non-catholic and Celtic to the core and got it worse in some respects particularly at school. It’s as if they’d committed an even greater crime hence their hatred for Broon. Nothing makes me prouder than the fact non-catholic’s feel comfortable supporting Celtic. I sit with a an absolute gentleman at Celtic Park who is non-Catholic and I’m proud to say in all the years I’ve sat beside him I’ve never heard one comment (not one) that has made me cringe. I doubt the same can be said in Govan.

There was a Catholic rangers fan at school with me.
Made his communion and confirmation with me.
Years later we are all sitting up the park getting bloto.
Mixed group arguing about football and the clown called me a Fenian B.
I swear I held court that day ripping him to shreds.
Even the rangers fans were slagging him stupid by time I had finished with him.

{Ed007's Note - The easy way to deal with morons like that these days is to put your old class First Communion pictures on Facebook etc and tag them in it 😁

It’s quite sad and funny now. Big cousin is now in his 50’s Amdahl hasn’t really evolved mentally. Still goes on about rangers and two years ago at a family party he was explaining to me he how Kolo Toure was a bad signing while pointing out Clint Hill was wonderfu as he brought experience.

An invincible with arsenal, vast European cv against a journeyman of English lower leagues who hasn’t done any thing of any significance.

He also claimed Pedro Caixinha was a ‘class act.
