@Ed or any of you bhoys in the know. After a wee sabbatical, 16-17 years to be exact, I feel it's time for me to get my season seat back at paradise! šŸ˜‚
Anyways, I've paid my tenner and I'm now on the list for 18/ 19. I messed up a bit and initially ordered 2. This was quickly realised but the numbers for the order were 4199 and 4200. I'm assuming this is the number of people on the list and I'm currently 4199?

Couple of questions. Have I got to wait for over 4000 bhoys to not renew or do Celtic release more seats for the season. Obviously, CP capacity is what it is, I don't expect over 4000 new season ticket holders just like that.
Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree with numbers?
With confidence Sky high, I expect there will be very few fans not renewing.
Any info guys would be appreciated!

{Ed007's Note - I've honestly no idea, Rab, I always thought the waiting list was a myth lol. You might find that you're No. 4199 but since the waiting list was brought in 3000 people have got their ticket, the 4199 might just be your specific number like a code, does your number change? I'm guessing though and trying to be positive for you lol.}

Cheers Ed, It does say on the waiting list FAQ's that if you were on the list for 17/ 18 your deposit carries over automatically and you go on the 18/ 19 list. So this could mean more priority for people who didn't get one last year. Not got a clue but like the lottery, you've got to be in it to win it!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Keep us up to date on it Rab, just so we know how it does work.}

I wonder how much it would cost to increase capacity or if there is a desire to on the club's part. There was talk of it last season on here but it's gone quiet. 4200 full price ST's would be worth over Ā£2m per season before European games, cup games or even a pie and a bovril. That would even keep Pedro happy!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The thing with increasing stadium capacity for me is that we struggle to fill the stadium against a certain level of team and the place would look even more empty an effect the atmosphere. Sure it will be jumping for CL and the bigger league games but what happens when it's a Tuesday night against Accies?
Remember the Club is cracking down on people using season tickets that don't belong to them.}

03 May 2018 21:37:21
Will do Ed. It says I will get an email if and when one comes up. The deadline for existing holders is a week on Friday. The club will then know how many spaces there are for newbies.

{Ed007's Note - Good luck, Rab.}

Have you spoke to ticket office? Might be an option to see if there is any retricted view tickets available this season, and once you have one change it to a normal seat if available next year. I got my 2 RV seats over the phone a couple of yesrs ago.

There is season tickets available at the rangers end, but you donā€™t get the rangers games for obvious reasons but have an option to buy 1 if any are available.

How restricted are they John? I've sat in a restricted view seat before and it was murder.

Celtic are the first club in the UK to offer free sanitary towels at Celtic Park.
I hear used ones will be donated across the city as they like to sing about being up to their knees in Fen. B.

Thought it was too funny not to share ED but will understand if it is deemed a wee bit ott and not posted.

When pre-season comes around I'd like to see Lewis Morgan given a real chance on the left of the 3 to see how he copes. It's a position up for grabs due to Sinclair's up and down form and Morgan is tricky, a good crosser with both feet and scores plenty of goals. He'll be buzzing with his big move and out to impress. He should hopefully be able to perform well against the level of opposition in the first 2 rounds especially.

I must have missed Sinclairā€™s UPā€™s this season Kev. ā˜˜ļø.

17 goals and 16 assists are Sinclairā€™s ups this season JFP.

They were early doors to be fair haha. Pretty sure heā€™s still our top scorer actually.

He certainly doesnā€™t stick out for me this season. Is 17 goals from a Ā£4m player from the mighty EPL playing up front in what they regard as the nonentity of the SPL which could reasonably be expected from a top class midfielder exceptional? If heā€™s our top scorer thatā€™s even scarier. Iā€™m trying to think the last time I thought he played a blinder? Must have been away from home as Iā€™ve not missed one. Average and piss poor would have been my first thoughts particularly given the heights he reached last season. Ach weā€™ll opinions are like arseholes weā€™ve all got one. ā˜˜ļø.

Found it a wee bit harder this season as every team stuck 2 or 3 players on him as soon as he got the ball.
For having a piss poor season the boy did not to bad in my eyes.
Maybe we should sign the Sloth as he scored more than wee Scott, Oh no wait, Scott is a winger not a striker and has a lot more assists.

Also puts in a good delivery. Genuinely can't remember last time we scored a header from a set piece.

I think it was big Roddy McDonald against Rangers in the 80ā€™s when we last scored from a corner. I was there, was a belter.

I thought he was the Orc's dream new signing under their mega famous new manager with their 30plus million to spend. Supposedly going to sort out Broony. My arse. He's posh (sorry pish) and five years past it.

While we are reading stories from Sevco about,
Red Bull pumping in Ā£40m,
Chinese pumping in Ā£30m,
American pumping in Ā£20m,

Celtic ARE pumping them regularly!

Drewzbhoy Ā£20 mill won't go far. First off Ā£20mill to pay ofc existing debts and loans. Couple of mill to pay off backroom staff when SG takes over. Another couple to take out Alves and co because no one is buying them. Agents fees for SG. So there is a minimum of Ā£25mill gone. No needs a further Ā£20mill for say 6 players of a decent standard. Then with no European football because I can't see a new team jelling in time for qualifiers (he joins 1st June qualifiers in july) so back to more debt next season possibly Ā£10mill and then it starts again.

Sometimes you have to admit your wrong and i think Stevie G will be a good appointment for the gers. Its got people talking about Scottish football outwith the localised bubble. Everyone needs rivals in football, it promotes interest and prosperity. I flew through mumbai the other day and had the indian customs guy talking to me about samaras of all people. then the subject turned to the gers and he said if gerrard goes there ill hate him lol. Scottish clubs need the rivalry, wether it be Mumbai or Glasgow . PS. i hope he fails. but he will bring exposure!

Would you be happy with Stevie G as a replacement to Rodgers Bribhoy? I think that's the question Rangers fans should be asking themselves.

The bottom line is the fans don't have a say in who get's the managers job at any club, But the fans can get a manager the sack.

When a club is at it's lowest, morale and fans are bitching then any manager that comes in and starts a winning run/ cups will be classed as success no matter what or where he came from.
As the comment above if a well know manager/ player gets the gig it will certainly raise the profile and interest. Weather it generates the cash to buy or spend will need to be seen. Hail Hail.

Great point jim. for talking sake Brendan left this summer and we replaced him with Gerrard, would we have faith in him doing the business? Think we all know the answer to that! Itā€™s all moonbeams and fantasy yet again from that mob! They canā€™t afford a top class manager so letā€™s go for a big name with not one bit of experience managing a football club! Itā€™s desperation and stupidity of the highest level! I was driving home from work last nite and superscore board was on.

the 2 modern day intellects of mark gudi and Alex Rae were discussing this, guidis said he had it on good authority that sevcos first choice was Sean dyce! The guy being touted as the next England manager and possible replacement for Wenger at Arsenal! But the 4 million compo was the stumbling block! I could barely see the road in front of me for the tears in my eyes! Couldnā€™t stop laughing at this utter drivel and fantasy! So there first choice was a seasoned EPL manager who would cost them between 3-4 million a year salary, but there 2nd choice was a guy whoā€™s never managed in his life!

Said it before and Iā€™ll say it again, I hope Gerrard does get the job, on a 3 year deal as has been hinted! Because it will mean 10 in a row will be even easier than any of us thought!

Lh86. heard It! the Ā£2m in wages Sean Dyce was looking for, was not the problem, Guidi could confirm that was all agreed.

It was as you say, the pesky Ā£4m in compo his club were demanding.

Lh86. They can't compete with us on the field. We can pay more, and attract, better players. So what they need is a manager who can totally turn things around. Which would take somebody better than BR. Somebody top class. I'm not saying SG won't go on to be a top manager, I have no idea really. But judging him now on what's already there to see (a short spell as a coach with a youth side) , he's simply not the top manager they need.
