I went to a posh restaurant with Mrs T.
I asked the waiter what the starters were he said "prawn cocktails, melon balls and soup of the day" as he told me he hit me over the head. I was a bit taken aback but said nothing.
we both had the soup.
I then asked waiter what main courses were on menu, he replied "Sirloin steak, gammon steak or a vegetable quiche" again he hit me several times over the head. Mrs T again told me to ignore it.
I had steak, Mrs T took the gammon.
Apprehensively, (and a little bruised) I asked the guy for the pudding, he told me "apple pie with custard or cream, pear torte or a selection of fruits" Once more he blooming hit me over the head.
We ate up, paid the bill and left.
Walking home I said to Mrs T "that's the last time I take you for a SLAP UP meal".

Looks like you might have been right all along about Lawwell looking for a position with UEFA ED007. This'll be a step in the right direction for him anyways.

By: Newsroom Staff on 03 Mar, 2014 18:11

CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce that Chief Executive Peter Lawwell has been elected to serve on the main Executive Board of the European Club Association.

Peter will join other existing Board members including Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge of Bayern Munich, AC Milan's Umberto Gandini, Edwin van der Sar of Ajax and Arsenal's representative Ivan Gazidis.

The European Club Association is the sole, independent body directly representing football clubs at European level. It is the authoritative, independent voice of European club football, the lifeblood of the European game.

ECA exists to protect and promote European club football. Its aim is to create a new, more democratic governance model that truly reflects the key role of the clubs.

ECA will act to strengthen each of the clubs for the benefit of all and to ensure that club football is recognised by decision-makers as the most direct link to the fans and their communities. The ECA currently represents 214 clubs from 53 nations.

Peter Lawwell said: "This is a tremendous honour and a role which I very much look forward to undertaking.

"European football is an ever-changing landscape and from the perspective of Celtic, it is vital that we ensure we are at the heart of the action and at the centre of discussions regarding the development of the game.

"As we look to the future, I look forward to representing Celtic, Scottish clubs and the other clubs in Europe to ensure that the voice of these clubs and their supporters is heard."

{Ed007's Note - The ECA is an independent organisation which has no official connection with UEFA as such, it came about to replace the G14 group and will become very important when the inevitable European Super League is formed in the future.}

Surprise surprise, there was an agenda behind PL's treatment of the GB and not backing the fans up with UEFA fines after all.

Agree0 Disagree0

@hamiltonbhoy as I've said before, I don't mind gb but they never done themselves any favours at fir park wrecking seats. There was parents there with children. So no wonder PL clamped down on them. There was no need for that carry on.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The seats at Motherwell had nothing to do with any member of the GB, that has been well established now.}

@ed apologies, never knew they had been cleared.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Out of the 128 who received the short bans over Fir Park none of them were GB members. Funnily enough the club, the media and the anti-GB members of the support didn't make as much of a fuss about that than they did at the time it happened.
Sadly it's what happens when people let their young teenage kids go to games without any proper adult supervision. Other fans, police or stewards aren't a free baby-sitting service.}

ED
The Sevconians are claiming there is no chance of a second administration. Do you agree?

Hail Hail

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not that interested.}

Well Ed, maybe we should be interested. Not too much though because they are where they are for a reason and it's still a great joy to see them suffer, but because the sooner we have Sevco back in the top flight the sooner we'll have a bit of competition and excitement and a lot less whinging from the fans who say the seasons are now boring.

Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If I ever need a life coach I'll let you know. Until then I'm more than capable of deciding what interests me for myself, thanks.}

Calm yourself Ed. Childish replies don't further anyone's cause. Sounds like you might need that life coach!

Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm perfectly calm mate, but then I'm not the one worrying about another club whilst the one I claim to support has more than enough problems of it's own.}

Chris it can't be a second administration. If it was the company that got liquidated it must be the new company that is facing administration so it's a first for them.

If it is the club that is facing administration then it is the first as it was the company that was liquidated last time. Neither the club or the company exited administration by any means that would allow a second insolvency event.

In other words the Sevconians aren't sure how to spin this yet to keep the same club myth going.

Let them get on with it, we all know the truth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares about them? No concern to celtic whatsoever. Your on wrong page

Agree0 Disagree0

Gona agree with ed here, this is the Celtic page mate. Sick of reading what the dark side are up to. Celtic have enough problems of our own. Never mind thinking about how rangers are going to finish themselfs off. Let it go mate, there's not much fun in kicking people when they are down. Be the bigger man.

ED007 my idea for next poll is.
How many of us Celtic fans will renew season tickets? (will it depend on more signings?)
