Ryan Fraser ? Think he'd be a good signing. Thoughts ?

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Only in scotland '' not proven'' it would be a risk, not convinced by him yet.. shammy

Agree0 Disagree4

What do you think he would add to the team, Currently he would not get a sniff at the first team and might struggle to get in out U19s

Frank Lampard will leave Chelsea at the end of the season. Sign him up Neil!! Lol
On a serious note, Juve in talks regarding bringing in Llorente in January rather than the summer.... Oh dear :( only positive is he's been frozen out at Bilbao so might not be 100% sharp

Just going to throw a few names out and see what people's opinions are. Graham Dorrans apparently West Brom are willing to let him go for £4m could be a good signing. Danny Graham possibly the target man we could be missing along side Hooper. Leigh Griffiths as back-up to Hooper for some goals.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Dorrans would be a good signing, can't see 4mil being the fee though if West Brom are happy for him to leave/find a new club?! Danny Graham would also bang the goals in, I would take him but he's not a typical target man, he can do it but don't think it's his main attributes! We could be here all night talking about target men, everybody's got different views on them. As for griffiths, I would have took him from Dundee, he's a Bloody Nyaff but he can score goals, but again People have far flung views for European football where he'll not be good enough but for domestic games with the amount of chances we create in the majority of games he would have a field day! Dorrans best of the bunch.

Thinking about going to Turin and hearing different stories regarding treatment of fans from police and Juve fans - any comments to confirm or dispel ?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Was there the last time we played them in champions league we were pelted with rotten fruit, plastic bottles some with fluids some empty, backs of seats, sticks you have a flag on were being flung as though they were spears while the local peelers in full riot gear turned & faced us with shields above there heads, there was a zero tolerance on drinking on bars closed and they were taking your carry outs and duty free from you.

I was there with O'Neill's team and it was not good.I dont know if it's better or worse but it was very intimidating.A barman in our hotel told us to stay in groups as there is always trouble.Hardly any bars let fans in and this is because they rush them apparently. In and out asap would be my advice..............green jhedi

Watching the Edinburgh derby and one thing stands out . I hate to keep on about it but Willie Collum is the worst referee I've ever seen .......DH

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Willie Collum and his regular assistants are Celtic haters how did they miss that tackle by Stevenson on McPake suppose Lunny will not react to it either

When will the SFA compliance officer get SFA refs to comply with the regulations?

DH he is also claiming it is a new world record attendance for a single end (for the younger members on here ask ED007 what a single end is)
he also said the admission price of £20 would be used to help Sally (join weighpersonchers lol) Timalloy

Tim I also heard that Mcoist wants to know the names of the three people who turned up without a Kerry Oot ......DH

Tim it was £20 but, dh 40, 000 wouldn't have turned up so he gave out 15, 000 free tickets . but i did hear it was a new world record for taking back empties .and the bottle bank along the road is overflowing with buckie bottles .. shammy

ED007 just back from my sojourn in deepest Engerland.
Firstly, can I wish yourself, GJ, Mrs E, Wee Pat, Lenny, Shammy, Miko and
all the regulars a Hoopy New Year...
and did you know that this is the Chinese New Year of Fat Sally ( the
year of the Snake..)
ED007 a couple of questions, do you rate this Israeli defender and will it be
another loan deal?
Also what do you make of the winter break? I remember Martin O'neil say
it helped Celtic reach Seville. We will really only know if we get
past Juventus and go further in CL.
hail hail Timalloy
PS me and me wee Pat are opening a
book on how many name changes "Shammy" does this year lol {Ed007's Note - Happy New Year to you and the family Tim. I have not seen Gershon play but from reading scouting reports he looks impressive. It is supposedly a loan deal with a view to a permanent deal.}

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Tim, i would'nt change my name if . sevconians didnt follow follow me, giving me a bad name, i was billybhoy { billy} my name . then some person called himself billyboy, i couldn't risk being mistaken for him. so i went bb, i was follow followed by the real BB, so i got rid of that and went for something that would hurt their fingers to type,, shamrock.. then wee pat started calling me shammy . that will do for me . if the doyen of celtic rumours calls me shammy, i'm shammy. signed .. the emerald pimpernel

Ed what are the chances of Gary Hooper signing a new contract? If he is offered the same terms as Brown and Ledley would he accept it or do you think he has set his heart on playing in the Premiership? If there is absolutely no chance of him extending his contract then surely this is the time to sell him, teams like Sunderland and QPR are crying out for a striker and as a result will pay over the odds to try and stay in the Premiership. Where as if we wait until the summer then we will have to settle or less because losing him for nothing does not fit in with our business model. It's a shame really because the bhoy could go and score a couple of hundred for us {Ed007's Note - Even if he signed a new contract I would still expect him to leave in the summer, it has went beyond the financial side of things. I wouldn't sell him just though I would do everything I could to keep him here until the summer.}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Agree with ED. We must keep him till summer, i think he would prefer that, but your point of this being a premium time to sell is valid.Premiership teams need to stay in that league or a few teams will be consigned to the lower leagues for years to come. Does Lenny think Stokes and Watt could fill the gap? I dont think so.The thing is in the modern game the power is all with the players. If Sunderland, for example, offered £10m i would bite their hand off, but would he fancy a possible relegation dogfight?.........green jhedi

Gary Hooper doing what he does best, scoring goals and winning football matches for Celtic. Is he getting the recognition he deserves? I'm not so sure, he's still a Celtic player as far as I'm aware. Are we thinking its just a matter of time before he leaves Celtic park? I hope not I'm sure Peter 'purse strings' Lawell has a better offer up his sleeve. Ian L

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I dont think Hoops wants to sign a new contract.I heard a rumour his agent wanted 40k p/w for him to sign, if you ask me they knew we would never pay that. The boys English and maybe wants home, lets thank him for his work and wish him well. After pocketing a good fee i might add. In summer he will be a last year of contract case, i would accept between 6-8 million.............green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree4

SPL striker stats out, hooper is third best in SPL.
He's a good player and good for us, I think it's his level but EPL every week would be a big challenge for him. Players leave us and never play in Europe again. It's the highest level in club world football, to walk away from that, as a professional footballer underlines its only about more money these days and not about football.
