unbelievable on ssb tonite were that clown guidi who was in the stand at tynecastle on Saturday said he never seen the incident then states he saw the stewards move nl during the match then turned it round about fir park I only listened in to see if they would discuss the incident but did not they spoke about tripe the whole show and you could sense a desperation to avoid discussing it also no mention on tv news either what a disgrace of a country

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't like One Direction or JLS, so I don't listen to them.
Turn it off and don't listen to the clowns.

Bhoys and Ghirls,

After Lennon apparent interview stating he could be driven out of Glasgow, as much as I think he has done a good job I think he has gone as far as he can in this job.

I would like to see someone come in with a good tactical knowledge and play a brand of entertaining football.

Lennon is too predictable especially with his teams and how they line up.

Good to hear peoples thoughts on the issue.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, it's time for a change but only problem is who do we get to replace him, no more rookies atleast but who do we tempt?

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon Owen Coyle has already been sounded out for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Coyle for me. You knock Celtic back, and publicly at that, then your chance has gone i'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about malkey from Cardiff? He is a good manager. Is he still out of a job?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't we wait till the man say's he doe's not want the job before cavassing other's, the two that were mentioned would not better what Lenny has done
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Malkay is a shout, an I agree no Coyle, publicly turn us down no chance

Was at the game yesterday and what a player johansen looks like he could turn out to be, still early bells and most of us would agree we would have to see a few more games of him before being completely satisfied. Exactly the playmaker we, ve been after but I still think we need a defensive mid who can break down attacks etc like wanyama did if we are to have a go at the cl nxt season.
I also hope that was a one off with stokesy yesterday as I lost count of how many he screwed, i'm not griffiths biggest fan but i'll give the boy a chance, still think we should be after a prolific 5m hitman though if we are to compete against the big teams.
Virgil and efe have played well but there's still question marks with efe in the cl, not saying he, s a bad player but I would just like to see another centre half to push him as virgil is our no1 defender no question about that! possibly another left back also to give izzy competition.

whats you're thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree we need another defensive mid and left back. I reckon if Griffiths sorts his life out a bit and knuckles down he could be a decent player for us. Not sure he is cl material though but you never know.

The Scottish Professional Football League has decided not to take action against Celtic for a banner shown by their supporters in a league match with Aberdeen.

Since November, the league have been investigating the display of a giant H by a section of fans at Parkhead, which was accompanied by the message "they fought and died for their wee bit hill and glen."

Complaints were subsequently made to the SPFL, who confirmed they would determine whether the banner breached their rules on unacceptable conduct.

TV understands the league have ruled there is no evidence to suggest their rules were breached in the incident.

---------------------------------------------------

So the Green Brigade didn't cause damage to Fir Park or commit offences at Motherwell as no members have been arrested to date, now it's been confirmed they didn't break SPFL rules at home to Aberdeen either. Are people still going to play the blame game and say they're in the wrong?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unfortunately, they did display a stupid banner at the Milan game which cost the club forty grand

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon HB do you really expect any of the panty wetters to admit that they were in the wrong? I think it's fair to say that the GB will soon be invited to take up their seats in 111 again - after all season tickets MUST be sold! Sadly some of the lads are in 2 minds over whether to go back while the current custodians are in power with fans happy to allow them to continually chip away at the club's identity all the while victimising their so called fellow fans. That's a fair point you make Mickey but if UEFA had the same rules as the SPFL there would not have been any fine, I really don't think you can blame the GB for the lack of clarity.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Albert here there you go again Che with your panty wetter's crap, how do you expect to change anyone's mind aqnd get on your side talking like that
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Albert you seem to have misunderstood me old bean, I'm not looking to change anyone's mind. I am only highlighting how so many of the panty wetters were so quick to condemn the GB without any evidence but they don't seem to be rushing to apologise or admit they were wrong. I'm sure they will change their mind soon enough when they are told it's OK to support the GB again.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 Che that's exactly what you should be trying to do, so we are all singing from the same hymn sheet and all supporting the team together, come on mate, think about it

Anyone know how Griffiths got on in the youth team today?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He only played in the first-half to get a run out. We won 2-0 with goals from Fridjonsson in the first half and a second half penalty Patrik Twardzik put away.}

Ended 4-0 herron added another 2 late on.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers I didn't know that I was out this afternoon and not caught up yet.}

Cheers guys. Is he struggling for fitness or got a niggle? Hopefully see Fridjonsson get some first team football soon, and I don't mean Amido level of first team football - I mean actual involvement!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard of him carrying any knocks but he hasn't played for a few weeks so it was just to keep his fitness up.}

First chance I have had to post in a few days.
Firstly, we all know the problems that Neil has had with the people for some time now, but sadly, I feel he has given them ammunition by saying he may quit if it continues, these persons will see this as a reason to continue. We have also all seen that the authorities will once again do very little, unlike in England where tv images of coin throwing thugs have been published in the hope of catching them.
I was also angry about article by screech J in the daily record where he states it is wrong but Lennon brings it on himself by being strong willed,
then of course comes the usual denial, it is NOT because he is Irish or Roman Catholic, no it is just drunken hooligans who hate Glaswegians?
His argument falls at first hurdle, as to my knowledge Neil does not come from Glasgow.
The main stream media will never acknowledge that sectarianism exists in Scotland and certainly not amongst the "enlightened" citizens of certain areas of Scotland where Larkhall is the epicentre. Timalloy (Catholic, Irish AND Glaswegian)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Timalloy I don't think he has given them any ammunition, how much can one man take, maybe he is try ing to see who will support him against this, any Celtic supporter worth the name should be there on Saturday to show we support him whole heartedly, we should also approach our supposed non sectarian scottish government, to see what they are going to do about it. I will be very surprised if anyone is brought to justice regarding what happened to Lenny.

Hi ed, first time poster can you shed any light on if commons is any closer to signing a new contract

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - There seems to be a bit of a mix up on when Commons contract runs out. When he signed it was announced as a 3 1/2 year deal which should run out this summer but in a recent interview the player himself said

"I’ve got the rest of this season and all of next year left on my contract so there is no urgency for the club or for me to sit down and talk."

In the same interview he tells of his desire to sit down in the summer and extend his deal to stay with CFC.}

Commons' contract does indeed expire this summer, but Lennon has stated that the club has a 1 year option to extend, which the club will invoke

Hi Ed just heard Barry Bannan is available on loan can we sign a him on loan don't want to sign him permanently just on loan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The loan window only applies In England, clubs from the Football League Championship to the Football Conference can loan in players from 8 February until 24 March.}

No offence mate but the only thing worse than a Wonga loan would be a Barry Bannan loan . DH

Reading an article from the mail online and it was lennon making comments about his future after what happened on saturday at the aberdeen game. I personally think he would have been going at the end of the season anyway but reading the article and seeing what he said I think this is the last straw for him after all the death threats, the attack at tynecastle against hearts, all the other rubbish he's put up with and now this then a think he's had enough and I don't think anyone could really blame him. Makes u wonder what kinda world we live in when a manager can't even go and watch a game without having fears for his own safety. In my opinion I really think for the sake of him and his family maybe the end of the season would be the perfect time to move on and give them a fresh start somewhere else more than likely england wer they don't have to deal with this p1sh week in week out and again it will no doubt be brushed under the carpet. Absolutely disgusting the way he has been treated and at the end of the day ther is more important things in life than football. GBNL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I also thought he would call it a day as there seems to have been friction with certain players and the Boardroom.
These factors are part and parcel for any club manager, but all the added outrageous and disgusting issues are way beyond what any other manager in World Football has to contend with.

I have criticised him on here for team and tactics issues but I will always support him and am incensed that our so-called football authorities and the Scottish Parliament have sat back and more or less sanctioned all of these malicious incidents.
The law is also to blame in a huge way, with how it 'dealt' with it.

The latest incident has been reported with eyes down looking at the carpet and mumblings of token indignation.
If this happened to another manager of another club there would have been a public hanging or three.

It is terrible that anyone has to go through one of the most disgusting things in the world being SPAT on. I hope they identify who it was. However regards this making him think about his future. That's already been made up in my opinion but this provided him with the ideal cover story. He will leave and site this amongst the other horrible things that have happened rather than anything else. This is because it is inexcusable abhorrent behaviour so we'd all accept that. No one has to endure what NL has. However he's picking his headlines to suit his agenda

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear hear Stu. I have been outspoken about my opinion on Lennon's ability to manage and carry forward our club but what went on yesterday is a disgrace to Scotland as a country. If someone can walk away from attacking the man on live TV what are the chances of anything being done to find the clowns that done this yesterday? I agree that this could be the basis of Lennon's decision to leave, I don't for a minute think it is the sole reason but it has surely played a part in it. I hope that if he does leave in the summer he comes out and says it is for footballing reasons otherwise he will have allowed these cretins to drive him out, they will see that as some kind of "victory". I might not want Lennon to be our long term manager but nobody deserves to have to live their life they way he does. The press can say what they like but we all know the root cause of this problem and it's disgusting in this day and age. I don't want this to come across as a pop at Lennon nor do I want to come across as a hypocrite, I still don't want Lennon as Celtic manager but I don't want to see him forced out by lowlife knuckledraggers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stu1888 The only bit of your post I disagree with is the last line, It was bad enough getting treated the way he has when he is on the touchline but to get spat on whilst watching a game of football is outragous, I don't think for one minute he is using this headline a you put it, I think he is thinking of all that has happened to him in this little backwater
