Long time reader, 1st time poster guys love the site! Looking forward. . . BIG TIME, to playing juve at the greatest stadium in the world paradise.

Have the Best fans in the world got anything planned for the occasion? Barca was one of the best experiences in my life and I hope we can top the atmosphere and leave the Italians shaking in there boots!

How do you all think we will fair against juve? If I'm honest I'm very confident we can come up with an excellent result and I'm very confident the great Glasgow Celtic's name will be one of the 8 names in the pot for the next draw! Hail hail

Imo and this is me being unbiased, Celtic will get beat at home and away. My thinking behind this is that while I concede barca are the best they do have defensive faults that celtic took advantage of (To there credit) and with barca when there plan A doesn't work (Which isn't very often) they have no plan be where as juventus I think are a lot more solid in defense and more than capable going forward and I am not sure celtic be able to break through there defense and stop there attack. Obviously I hope celtic get beat but good luck on the night and enjoy it.

Yeah I think Juve defend better than almost anyone, so it will be very difficult to score. Pace is where a goal will come from. We must involve Tony Watt through the middle and exploit the wings. Matthews/Lustig on the right and Izzy/Samaras on the left in a 4-4-1-1. It will be harder to score, but easier to defend than it was against Barça.

Thery are also sitting top of a very hard league

@Bigbear; No one can argue your point that Juve could win both legs. Juve though also have faults. In the games I have seen them there is an over depenndance on Pirlo, magnificent player that he is, but he is getting on now. They also seem to lose their shape and focus at times. They can be got at but to get a result Celtic will need every player at it from minute one. We did this v barca and Juve will not have the attacking threat, Messi, that they have. First goal is crucial. . . green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree0

Normal rules of two legged ties apply, win home game with a clean sheet, keep eleven on the park and score away. I think we can do all four and won't be far away if we do. andybhoy

As I said before the Barca game. On paper they should wipe the floor with us. But the game is played on grass and all it takes is a few of their players not up for it and ours on their game. So many variables. Hail Hail. TinyTim

A mans body has been fished from the river clyde, he was wearing a Rangers scarf, stockings, suspenders, a bra and red lipstick and had a vibrator stuck up his a***. Strathclyde police have removed the Rangers scarf to save any embarrassment to his family. . Stevie

Craig burley is having another go at our manager in today's paper someone really needs to have a word about all the sh#t he writes this past couple of months. Looks like I'll be changing Sunday paper pronto.

None of the red tops are newspapers, where's the news in them? They are one step up from trashy supermarket tat and gossip mags. . . green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree Burley does come up with stupid statements, and can be an @rse, maybe trying to be the new mcnee.
I didn't see much wrong with his column today, and actually agree with him slightly, you can't blame the pitch or atmosphere, both teams played on it, and celtic were very poor all over the park. jj

Agree1 Disagree4

Ah. McNee, I know he retired but surprised he hasn't been wheeled out to give his opinion over the last year. I wonder if he would have given CG an easy ride like the rest.

Briggs {Ed007's Note - As far as I know he isn't in the best of health.}

Agree1 Disagree0

McNee was on STV after liquidation shouting that SPL needed to let new club in or the whole of Scottish football would collapse. Shouting like a loony and arguing with the others in the studio with alternative position. Bluenose.

Agree2 Disagree0

Burley is just pandering to the media to keep his job. He is trying to sound so neutral and knowledgeable. Shame some people have to do that to be part of a crowd.
TinyTim

Agree1 Disagree0

@4 was that not Archie McPherson your thinking of? I seen him shouting the same drivel.

'The mask really has slipped to reveal Rangers as a Third Division team with a ridiculous wage bill' - The Scotsman today

www.scotsman.com/sport/football/top-football-stories/dundee-united-3-0-rangers-nine-man-gers-unravel-1-2773170

Maybe now we can stop being subjected to all this we're the same Club, debt free and worth a million trillion.

Mrs E

Believable5 Unbelievable0

This could be the beginning of the end for Chuckie Mrs E. The dismal showing and criticism of mccoist on deady bear forums might put him in a real awkward position. He must look at the wage bill and wince. But what can he do? Since he bought mccoists support with his shares and his 25 year contract nonsense he is not going to look good whatever way you cut it. I await the new sponsor and kit deals announcement, ten days he claimed from the fans meeting, must be due any time now. Might be an interesting few weeks for the Bootleg Blues!. . . green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree0

Ian black etc are just using Rangers for a wage, he wouldn't get a game anywhere else and Ally has allowed it to happen.

I have no doubt there will be definite bragging over the sponsor and kit deals. somehow

We watch with amusement ~ Mrs E

Agree6 Disagree0

The only explanation for paying those wages to those players is they thought they could win a cup and. the only 2 explanations is they thought they could win a cup and they would get fast tracked into spl and. three, there are only 3 explanations for this, they thought they could win a cup and be fast tracked and they are persons.

Agree1 Disagree0

Although the wage bill is very high you need to remember that its the only way to get these players to play in that division and to guarantee promotion.

Rangers fan here, why on earth haven't yous signed johnny russel and mckay stevens? he would be great for yous

Believable5 Unbelievable4

There not needed the squads big enough if players are moved on in the summer as expected could be an option, they, d stuggle for game time better for crltic to leave them at utd to deal with your lot, you wern't hoping for a wee turn off celtic before yesterdays humping were you?
thommyj

Agree5 Disagree0

I would like to see Dundee keep them as should all spl clubs keep thier star players, that way it makes the league more exciting and challenging. Would welcome them in the club but for the good of the game think the clubs keep the stars and grow the clubs and hope for more turn outs and good chances at them wining things instead of us always going for thier best players.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sadly never the case clubs rely on young players being sold on to keep the clubs afloat if we don't keep them thell be lost to lower league english clubs know what you mean and I agree better if clubs like united could keep theese guys and build on it but fianances dictate i'm afraid
thommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos the players we have are better and david murray is not our chairman.

Just watching MOTD. Newcastle v London ****. Sissoko signed for 1.8m? Has John Park been moonlighting for Newcastle or what? Lol. Some player for that money! Weetam1888 {Ed007's Note - Newcastle have a fantastic scouting system Tam, headed up by Graham Carr. Sissoko was valued at £18 - 20 million in January 2010 when Man Utd enquired about him to replace Anderson, if they could have offloaded the Brazilian. Spurs had a £15 million bid rejected during that window as well. He was out of contract in the upcoming summer and had made it clear he wanted to leave France, leading to Toulouse suspending him.}

Like Ba he will have a buy out and be off if a trophy winning club, or bigger wage payers want him. . . green jhedi
