ed do you know how much this deal is goin to cost celtic regarding weekly wage? scott brown has already cost celtic a little over 10m takenin his fee and salary into account.and what have we got in return? an over rated player in my eyes? {Ed007's Note - I have no idea of the finances involved.}
How much did Bobo Balde cost us or Dimitri Kharin or Lovely Freddy Ljunberg, or Mr Gravesen? There are a dozen I could mention but its really not fair to critisise these players personally. IMHO the manager and the board are responsible for the way the finances are being spent.

Edd see brown has sorted his deal out now when is the earliest we can sell him lol nah jokes aside, see if ie Newcastle bidded X million for him could he still leave in jan or would they need to wait for the summer.
I know i didn't want brown to sign but in thinking about it will kayal,ki & maybe ledley etc all be there next season ?

With MON taking on Sunderland do u think we could maybe do a deal for Craig Gordon.Only saying this cos FF doesn't really fill me with confidence ,it would also depend on the fitness etc of Gordon who would bring a bit of experience too ,also has anybody any gen on a good center half............DH {Ed007's Note - Craig Gordon is out of contract in the summer but as you say it is his fitness that would be a concern. ED007 reading that Liverpool appear to be still interested in KI, and I hear Mathews also. I would let Ki go for decent fee but hope Celtic keep Mathews. We can afford to let Cha go now we have Lustig coming in. Would not mind any offers for Sammy also. Scott brown signs a new contract. I quite like brown, you need his type in your team although I way prefer him in center mid. He's not popular with the majority of the suport though. The thing is every manager at every club, and every international manager, and even Walter smith who was desperate to sign him, they all love him, first name on mosts team sheet. These guy's can't all be wrong surely? {Ed007's Note - I like Brown, every team needs someone like him. I wonder where the guy that KNEW Lawwell was forcing him out the door is today?}

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has agreed a new contract to stay with the club until at least 2015.
The Celtic captain's current deal was set to expire in the summer and he had been free to talk to other clubs about a Bosman move.

Been talking about this for the last few days at work.what do you think of this, it would probz never happen but you never know.
Celtic & rangers both come out & say right their will be no X million pound players comming to the clubs for the next 5 years or so but with the money we save from the transfer we will invest in our youth systems & bring in better coaches etc. bad news would be we will lose a few quid from sky & Celtic & rangers might not win a few things for a few years but In 5 years we would have a great youth system bringing through young lads & if they get sold for a couple of million then we will have the ability to replace them through our youth systems. In 5 years time we will have young squads hopfully with Europe experience ie the under 19s thing then we could maybe do a bit better in Europe & make the spl better & making more teams challenge for the league.
Ps reading back on that, they would ov need a few experienced players to play along with to get experience with.also it would be a gamble but with the spl being as bad as it is it can't get worse ? Reason I came up with this idea is because B Dortmund done this done ok for 5 years then last year won the league reason they done it because they were skint. If it worked then in the long run sky or whoever is airing football at the time would give us more money if the league looks more attractive.
Just an idea whats peoples thoughts bearing in mind rangers problems, Portsmouth's problems a few years back etc

Why , this would only benifit rangers as celtic have already got a good youth system that was rejigged just before tommy burns passed away and is now starting to come good with a number of players in all positions ready to push for first team places eg chalmers lb toshney, fraser cb herron irvine,mcgeouch the twardzik twins mf george lw keatings watt fw to name but a few with others pushing them for u 19 places also our scouting system is finally starting to do its job finding young talent outside scotland , so no i say congrats to celtic on what they are doing and if we can buy a good experienced cb or two and a target man/physical fw then the fist team is almost complete and lennon can start to give these youngsters a run
