Played well tonight and just undone by a couple lapses.
But does anyone agree that was James forrest best game he has ever had for Celtic.
He looked like he really belonged on that stage

I said a few days ago on here, Forrest has been playing really well lately, I wonder if he’ll ever get a song! Scored some big goals for us in the past too, and yeah, he was very good tonight as was KT and McGregor.

Agree was a great performance by the wee man trouble with him he's another sammy just don't know which ones going to turn up. Motm was broony tho by a mile was pure class tonight bossed a midfield of there's worth x amount of millions.
Walked out the game knowing to a man we matched them with all we had. proud to be a tim roll on Saturday records are there to be broken and I just happen to have a ticket 😀.

Forrest best player on the field tonight and I have to say although wingers are notorious for their lack of consistency, James has been excellent this season and last . I was worried he would tire after 60 mins and we would miss Paddy R v badly as sub but Forrest went on and on all game.

I was thinking last night off the top of my head, that was JF's best game given the opposition.

It was a really encouraging performance from the majority of the side, which is all I was asking last night. It was just the cream rising to the top in the end but for the most part we matched Bayern.

If we continue to play with that intensity in Europe, we'll give Anderlecht a hiding, and surprise a few people in the Europa.

to me forrest looks the part.

moves well and tries and has a few tricks.

but 99% of his moves don't result in goals - and that's what the game is all about.

Roberts on the other hand has all of the above but his goals to run ratio is higher.

and what to goals make?

also who would you say is the better defender/ track backer (when we need to)

I have always rated Forrest and always wanted him to stay, unlike a lot of people on here.

I am just glad that he is starting to prove his detractors wrong.

For me, he has been one of our top performers this season and deserves to start ahead of Roberts.

Generally speaking Roberts is a better footballer than Forrest, and more importantly, more effective. But Forrest is playing well lately and deserves his chances. We seen Forrest getting picked ahead of Roberts in the first half of last season and Roberts really came into the limelight.

Proud of the team tonight . maybe were only a couple of good signings from being a decent European outfit. Same talking points as usual Centre backs and goalie. That will sort itself out in time. Not the time to single anyone out. no doubt we'll be slaughtered down south and by that wee reptile Shite Logan . bhoys were miles ahead of anything in this league . lots of positives. keep the faith HWGTIAR ☘.

Now I’m an optimist as well as a pragmatist, and yes I know if I go to the docs I can get cream for it before you all post that one : anyway is it just me or did Celtic pull a very very fast one in giving KT the new contract. He totally deserves it but tonight there will be 17 EPL Scouts at the game to watch Moussa and KT so if any of them want to put a NEW YEAR offer in they will have to fork out big time.

U don't believe what the papers are saying do you. A doubt very much if there's 17 scouts coming tonight. Anyway it's good business tying down your prospects and he deserves it, hope he's one of the highest earners now cos he's definitely one of the best players.

I seen the goal Christie scored for Aberdeen at the weekend, now with Stuart Armstrong having only till the end of the season and then poss he will be away, I think Christie is now a direct replacement for SA position.
He has the pace and can score, but that’s just my line of thinking.

Completely agree, never noticed him that much at ICT and was surprised we signed him tbh but after seeing him a few times in hoops last year I was literally blown away, pace, pass and shot on him. Was much more baffled about his involvement in Hayes deal (but maybe that makes me a "Captain of Hindsight" 🤔)

Tony2bhoy he did mate but it was just a year ext so that’s up come summer 2018: and your right SA has been poor by his standards but I have seen an improvement in him and think he will get back to his best soon.

Lustig is smashing Ed001: he's not got the pace to deal with some of the elite left-wingers out there, right enough, but at his worst he is generally forgettable there, which is what I want in a defender, and at his best he's staunch and a little crafty. Passes well, and scores the (very) odd belter. Possibly you've also seen him deputising at centre-half, which certainly our achilles-heel at the moment.

I'll probably get lynched for this but I wouldn't start Sinclair. He's been absent from every group game so far. Even the Anderlecht tie he did nothing until he scored. He's always dangerous on the break, yes, but we need 11 men to turn up for 90 mins tonight. Good news is in me saying this, he's sure to get a hatty.
