What a wonderful time to be a Celtic supporter . I am 67 and the big Cup was won in '67. I feel extra blessed that I was told on Thursday 25th, that I wasn't as ill as he previously thought .
So I am too happy to start making decisions just yet for next season . I am sure B R has done his preparations and is making all the necessary moves both inwards and outwards and hopefully we are last to know . Many that are for the oft are pretty clear-cut and don't require debate .
Briton is one that I am sure will cause B most thought and I will of course support him in whatever decision he comes to.
Another problem I have is the youngsters Brendan and his back-up team thing highly of like Ajer, I think they should benefit far more from our superior coaches than playing for the like of Kilmarnock. It is ok to lend out those who are not just the very best should be loaned out to help them in their future career.

Glad to hear your good news old bhoy n I wish u nothing but good blessings. I agree mate, it's always great being a Tim but some might say especially now, treble treble invincibles, going for 10 in a row n as many more as we like, with our board finally acting like the big club we are n paying for quality n backing the manager.
Ajer has played well at Killie, can't stand them mind u, but I know what u mean he would benefit from Brendan's coaching. I hope it he doesn't see game time next season we could get him to maybe a top six side but the more he plays regular the more benefit it will be in the long run, I'd rather that than him spend a season coming off the bench, n getting the odd start, but he's still very young so plenty time yet.
Hope the 25th was amazing night for u
With your good news n it being the lions 50th, I watched the BBC documentary n Sean Fallon programme n it's just magic seeing it as it was, as it is now, I long to go over to Lisbon n play on the pitch with my son in the hoops, that's on my to do list.
In the heat of Lisbon the fans came in their thousands to see the bhoys become champions in 67.

Why would anyone click on the thumbs down sign on news about old man Chris's health. Some people just continue to disappoint. Chris great news you are better than you thought. You take care buddy, need you around for our next unbeaten season. And to all you idiots that clicked on the thumbs down next time you get bad news which will be soon, remember it's karma. rubbish is coming your way. Take care old boy.

Think Ajer might develop into a top quality centre back, and if he gets loaned out to a side that gets put under a lot of pressure defensively, in meaningful games, he might learn more.

Seriously after one of the greatest seasons ever, folk down the page are whining that they haven't been invited to negotiations regarding paddy staying , that we haven't told everyone and there dug who were signing and we aren't negotiating new contracts in public , were 4DAYS into the close season , Jesus wept . If we do get rid of the sevco pages , can we replace it with the never bloody happy pages, ed .

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's the same on every site mate. The 29th of May was the 49th anniversary of Man Utd winning their first EC and there was not one single post on their page about it. It was all Griezzman this and Man City are spending that, we've got £250 million to spend who would you spend it on - shameful stuff.}

31 May 2017 12:33:09
Players for the chop this summer?
Bailey
Allan
GMS
Oconnell
Toure ( moved to a coaching role? )
Biton
Don't like saying this name because I think he's a good player but think it might be time for Henderson to move as well.
Any more I have missed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Ciftci, Kev?}

31 May 2017 12:43:51
Bang on ed new there was someone I missed.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Supposedly him and Allan have been told they're free to find new clubs.}

31 May 2017 13:04:52
The good thing about guys like Allan and Ciftci coming from Scottish clubs is that they might be open to moves back to their old clubs.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I doubt Utd could afford Ciftci but I'm sure big Pierre will get him something sorted out. As for Allan I don't know where he's going to end up but I reckon it could be his last chance saloon wherever he rolls up.}

31 May 2017 13:31:05
Celtic won't do any real business for at least a fortnight till they come back pre season if we are lucky maybe one in before qualifying games start most transfers will be out the way I will be shocked if this does not happen cause that's the Celtic way just now. Cause if it was hard to get players in before it will be even harder now the board thoughts will be that no one has beat us so why do we need to add we won the league with us getting beat but we no been beat this season so why do we need to buy now.

Agree0 Disagree1

31 May 2017 13:32:38
Allen is a mid table to Scottish championship player at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've been saying that since we signed him, Kev. Turns out it was worth the money though just to see the Zombie meltdown about it.}

31 May 2017 14:12:58
Also Janko, I posted his stats from his loan move a few months back and its grim reading. Unless of course BR can improve him but would think he is 3rd or 4th choice for right back now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I forgot about him, yeah there's another one that must be on the way out.}

31 May 2017 14:23:21
wonder what will happen with ajer?, not seen a lot of him, will he make the grade Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think he will be a cracking player but it would probably be better if he spent another year out on loan and playing regularly. He played really well for Kilmarnock from the few times I watched him and what I've read.}

31 May 2017 14:25:25
What about Fasan Ed you think his time is up, Thought he looked good pre season but you would think at his age he would have been thrown in by now and haven't heard how is loan deal went. Hearing good things about our youth keepers and that 2 or 3 are very promising.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Fasan's contract is up and there doesn't seem to be a new deal on the table and Conor Hazard seems to be more highly rated by the Club.}

31 May 2017 14:38:22
Cheers Ed.

No point in having our most successful season in 50 years and instead of enjoying it we have to give our tuppennce worth, whilst our manager and his staff take a well earned rest . Surely we all need it, and there is plenty of time before our transfer window opens before we advise B R how to prepare for next season .
I hope we don't do like last season and chase one of our better players out . I have little doubt Johannson would have been another star performer if we hadn't made him unwelcome from the start of season 2015/ 16. Surely we must have young players ready to take on a bigger role next season.

Have you seen Scott Allan's Instagram Ed? The guy's on holiday constantly and living the high life while his career goes nowhere.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Nah Kev, I don't have Instagram. Instagram for me meant phoning for a late night delivery when out on the ran dan ;)

31 May 2017 17:28:51
I was never a fan of his either ed007.
Was shot down quite a big for backing johansen and Armstrong over him and saying we had sent a better player to hibs on loan in henderson.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Totally agree, Kev. I never knew why we signed him and his Celtic career has went exactly the way I said it would when he signed. Never in a million years was Scott Allan good enough to play for Celtic.}

31 May 2017 20:15:16
If we trimmed the squad with the mentioned, Ciftci, GMS, Fasan, Bailly, Toure, Janko, O'Connell, Allen, Biton with Commons and Ambrose off as well that's a job well done and a lot saved on wages. Don't forget Eboue who would be like a new signing to us next season who would come in handy during the qualifiers if he has a decent pre season.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 21:33:32
Remember the good old days when Scott Allan was being touted as the Messiah n folk were desperate to have commons in the team, wow changed days indeed. Commons slowed our team down n was too greedy n bar a couple of decent passes Allan showed nothing that made me think he was Celtic class.
The way our 3 behind dembele play is how forwards/ attackers should play i. e. Sinclair rogic n Roberts they can all easily interchange, n swap with the 1 up top, yet people on here claimed Allan couldn't play from the left as if he couldn't move, the 3 in that formation should be interchangeable so u can play from any position on the pitch, not just 1 position because that's where u start the game.
At least now we have the players to play that style!
Hail hail.

might be even worth moving gamboa on with the emergence of young ralston.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2017 06:37:41
I'd keep gamboa for the now, if we get rid of all the previous players we will have done well. Sometimes it's hard to have a clear out, just look at the dross across the city.

01 Jun 2017 11:18:38
People on her have selective memories, how many were saying that GMS and Armstrong were not Celtic class, and were only Dundee united level, and should never have been bought, how many were having a go at Gordon, or saying Griffith's was not the kind of person or player to be allowed to wear the hoops, how many of Ronnie's worshippers still can't see it was Ronnie's total mismanagement of Johansen's injuries and lack of form that ruined his confidence, and was the biggest factor in his wanting to leave.

as for Allan, still think he could have been a big player for Celtic, if Ronnie had given him more of a chance, who knows?, one thing I do know, even though the team is playing well, it still lacks someone with real creativity in midfield, but that kind of player is very hard to find.

Apparently Aberdeen want Christie plus Cash for Johnny Hayes. For one I wouldn't want Hayes to begin with, but even if he is a target Christie is younger and arguably better than him already. Other reports that we need to "battle" Cardiff for his signiature, no offence but geez peace!

Good morning, Here we are again preparing for a new season and nothing coming out of celtic park on three things.
Worringly no new contract for Stuart Armstrong.
No movement on getting Paddy Roberts in pernmently
No new signings of world class potential for the champions league.
This years Cl qualifing will be harder than ever. The final stage before the groups will be full of excellent teams all desparate to be in the mix
We need players in early to ensure group stage entry.
I hope we do not do what appears to be our normal policy of waiting until the last moment.

Not even a week since the season finished bud, and we never disclose anything so why would we start now, that's why i don't listen to the pantywetters on here flapping their gums about no signings, lawell said this etc, the fact is nobody knows except celtic, we got players in that rodgers wanted b4 group stages last yr and would expect the same again, hate the close season, just went undefeated and a treble and people worrying and moaning 3 days later, enjoy what we have just achieved lads.

Agree2 Disagree1

31 May 2017 10:19:35
For the first time in a while I would be confident of getting through the qualifiers with what we have, we did it last year and the team is far better now. And Hapoel were no mugs as they proved in the Europa league. Where we need real quality is for the group stage itself and then only a couple of players in key positions, which there is plenty of time to sort out.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 10:54:21
Totally agree. this is the first time in a long time I'm not panicking about the qualifiers! Yes there will be some good teams in there but our team is settled and know each other inside out! The only thing I would ask for before maybe the last qualifier is a right good centre half! Feel this area is a must, especially in the actual group stage! But as of now I'm happy with the team and I'm still basking in the glory of our unbeaten season and treble! HH.
