The longest was in the year 2000 after John Barnes got sacked at the start of February and Kenny Dalglish took charge for nearly 20 games.
It was worth the wait until MON took over and won the treble.
Hopefully that’s a good omen.

My son in law asked me when we were out for a pint before he married my daughter what three events would stick out on my mind if I was in my deathbed tomorrow?
After some thought I replied (1) the day my daughter was born my son didn’t get a mention (2) the day my father died and I gave him communion after renewing his baptismal promises and (3) Larsson’s chip against Klos.
The ultimate consummate professional and for me the greatest ever player to wear the hoops for out and out consistency I’d nothing else. I told my son who had a season ticket for all of Larsson’s seasons to watch him because he might never see the likes again. We never have to date seen anything even close. I know I’ve angered the Jimmy Johnstone fans but the next time we have the best of a players career then when we’re finished with him Barcelona sign him and he turns around a Champions League final for them then after that arguably the biggest team in Engerland take him and want to keep him for another season I’ll change my mind. From a footballing perspective an absolute legend and world class. Right up there with Johnstone, McStay and Dalgliesh.

Larsson ended up our 3rd all-time Celtic goal scorer in our history.
He joined level on 4th place with Stevie Chalmers after scoring in the Scottish Cup Semi Final in 2004.
Larsson went into 4th place on his own, when he scored at home to Aberdeen at the end of April. Celtic lost to a last minute Aberdeen goal, which ended our 77 game unbeaten Home record.
He was now only 2 goals behind Jimmy Quinn in 3rd place.
Celtic lost again at home to Dunfermline, who would be our opponents in the 2004 Scottish Cup final.
Henrik scored in our 2-1 defeat, which put him only One goal behind Jimmy Quinn. Celtic were presented with the league trophy after the Dunfermline match.
I remember watching young Jordan Larsson running riot against the other kids on the Celtic Park turf and he looked a star for the future.
So Larsson was still One goal behind Jimmy Quinn with only One league game and One Scottish Cup final to go before the end of his Celtic career.
Larsson played his last competitive home clash against Dundee Utd and with only 20 minutes to go, he finally scored to equal Quinn’s record and only minutes later Larsson scored again to become the Celtic 3rd top goal scorer in our history.
Henrik went out on a high by helping Celtic win the Scottish Cup Final against Dunfermline in 2004.
Celtic were trailing 1-0 before a Larsson double helped Celtic win the cup 3-1.
Larsson was the difference between the sides that day but that was something the Celtic fans witnessed constantly in his 7 Magnificent years at our club.

I stand by my question I have very little knowledge of how transfers work and I’d imagine transfer dealings have possibly changed as time has gone by and I stopped playing professionally in 2003. My last SPL game was indeed against Celtic at Parkhead, a game in which Larsson played.

Steve Clarke being loyal to players is getting stupid, dykes been pants for months but starts against Austria, and Adams has been banging them away Christie has been rotten but gets in before turnbull who's playing the better football, Robertson has been pants but he plays kt out of position, bain plays every game but he picks mcglaughlin from sevco who hasn't played all season very strange and hope he's not our manager, oh and Scotland have been rotten and lucky to get the draws.

A managers job is to play the best team with the players he has available.
And also play a system which suits those players.
This season that hasn’t happened at Celtic.
Too many times the wrong players have been played and we took too long to play a formation that seemed to work.
Kennedy has now ditched that formation.

Dykes has been immense for us since he came into the fold. Did Christie not start on the bench on Sunday after getting an assist against Austria? It was a dramatic end to the season in 1968.
With only One league game remaining both Celtic and an unbeaten Rangers side were on the same amount of points, although Celtic had a far superior goal average.
Strangely the fixtures for the last league game was scheduled on the same day as the 1968 Scottish Cup Final.
Our last league opponents Dunfermline had reached the 1968 final.
The game against the Pars was put back 3 days until the Tuesday night.
Rangers refused to put back their home match until the Tuesday night, against a struggling Aberdeen side because they wanted to put extra pressure on Celtic.
Although Rangers went into the last game of that season unbeaten, Celtic were still in the driving seat because Celtic had won 43 out of a possible 44 points available, to edge ahead on goal average.
A certain Rangers striker Sir Alex Ferguson actually put them into a 2-1 lead before Aberdeen staged a comeback and scored a last minute Winner to win 3-2 and stun a very low 35,000 Ibrox crowd.
It now meant that Celtic had to lose 16-0 to Scottish Cup Winners Dunfermline, for Rangers to be confirmed Champions.
But Celtic did a professional job and went to East End Park and secured a 2-1 victory.
Lennox scored both of our goals to clinch 3 in a row.
Bobby "Buzz Bomb" Lennox actually scored in our last 11 league games that season to help complete our comeback and drive Celtic towards another title.

Haven't seen any evidence to suggest Kennedy would be a better manager than NL (especially in team selection and subs) and if The Board are not aware of the mess we are in by now, they should go too. Although with Broony jumping ship in the Summer it is worrying, because you would think a high profile appointment would want to work with him in some capacity fo mutual benefit? John Kennedy should go out and learn the trade elsewhere and Celtic need to aim much higher.

LAW has a point tho. If fans just renew anyway the board have nothing to worry about any decision they make will be fine. If fans just hold back there money till nearer the end of season ticket renewal date, will give board something to think about. A friend of mine works in ticket office. He hates the last week of season book sales. The real one after the 2nd extension. Says 1000s leave buying book to last minute. Celtic plc will do what they please and everyone will have a choice in buying a book or Firing the season book gun. Plc will sell player's to counter balance and invest even less in the team.
