When I learned Chuckie was at our game today I assumed it was the need to see a top flight match after months of his teams blood and snotters approach to the game. On our way over to paisley we were also remembering the occasion a rangers representative was poring over the books of St Mirren, allegedly with a view to buying them when rangers lost their licence through liquidation. Then on the radio there was a mention of The rangers and us moving to England, again the same season ticket nonsense selling tripe he peddles every couple of weeks, We arrived and went to watch the match.

That was pretty much the whole story for me as I never read the article in which green was allowed to verbalise his thoughts. This paper, the Sunday people, is owned by the same group as the mirror and the record in Scotland. The fact that these titles were widely discredited each time they printed this nonsense meant it was a nothing story, a season ticket sales push for the gullible down at the sports direct dust bowl.

Tonight though I was e-mailed a copy of the article. As I thought it was the same recycled guff chuckie has become infamous for. The usual "unnamed source" who wished to remain "anonymous" saying what chuckie wanted the fans of The rangers to hear. Then I started to tie in his visit to our game, a desperate bid for credibility. To be seen with our well respected and financially astute board would do him some good. To this end I would hope that our people, if they even crossed paths, were professional but in no shape or form let him think we were willing to get into bed with this fool. But heres the bit that really got to me.

The Sunday people claimed that " If Celtic were to be playing in England it might prove to their fans that they SHOULD be british" SHOULD be british! Surely Scottish? Then the anonymous figure chipped in "Being british would be pretty low on the list of things the Celtic supporters would identify with, even if the carrot of the premier league were to be dangled in front of them" Why on earth would this be mentioned? Even linking it to the independence debate, which they clearly tried in the article, it is still insulting in so many ways.

Jabba worked for this group of papers. The article was written by one Alan Nixon. Mr Nixon was a share holder in pro active sports group who's chairman was. Green. Come on Celtic time to crank up the pressure on this fool. If the spineless SFA won't act we must. A statement please regarding the wording and tone of this article, and a distancing well away from green, hopefully proclaiming him to be a publicity seeking fraud. This new club seem to have purchased the arrogance associated with the old, they seem to have purchased the friendly media and they for sure purchased Longmuir. Time to stand up and be counted. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - If you see a smaller article on the same page GJ it says:

'The blue half of Glasgow was plunged into turmoil - and administration, followed by the humiliation of liquidation - over a £9 million debt to the taxman.
As a result, a new club had to be formed - The Rangers Football Club - and they had to apply to become members of the SFA again.
After this was granted, they were allowed to play in Scotland's lowest rung this season.'

I can't see the DR people being happy about that little piece of truth being printed where anyone can see it.}

Highlight in a Match marred by scandalous refereeing has to be Lenny's comments to the St Mirren Captain after his over-heavy tackle from behind on the newly-arrived Sustitute Dylan McGeough - "Is that you tryin' to play the big Hard-Man again Goodwin Ye' Big F***y! " - Priceless.

Leaving aside the 2 'penalty' decisions and the red card; when was the last time Celtic actually played well for anything near a whole game? - Head scratcher isn't it? There are so many players light years away from the SPL winning form of last season. Plus additions like Ambrose and Lassad (not playing today) are rank.
The complacency of having no main competition is a poor excuse for treating opponents and the Celtic support with utter contempt.
Some of them have their mind on lucrative deals away from Paradise and have been 'dining-out' on the Barca games for months and if truth be told they may have not only let down the club, but their valuation may have dropped - costing the club in the long run as well?
For a season that promised so much and produced a great CL run, I am feeling very flat and angry at the persistent pee we are being served up.
Last season I expected us to win every week as good Celtic teams do; but for too long I am more in hope than expectation and do not feel confident about the Cup Semi-final on recent performances.

got exactly what we deserved today yet another brutal performance seems too many players have there minds elsewhere, sammi, hooper should have been taken off a lot earlier big effe is still a bombscare, we've been rank rotten from the juve game at CP. we never looked like scoring there keeper didn't have a single save to make and our keeper seems to be going backwards rather the progressing.

Yes Neil it was one of the most appalling referee performances we have all seen and when will commentators slam divers instead of he was looking for it oh izaguirre has given him a platform to use b******* the player dived and any way fair play to him it was outside the box and he got a penalty am sure the ref will be pretty embarrassed once he sees it again or quietly chuffed. With himself lol

After the RFC failed CVA and LIQUIDATION It looked as though the brand new SECVO5088 Club might be allowed into SFL Div1. Chick young asked McCoist if he would celebrate winning Div 1? McCoist "no we wouldn't do that. It wouldn't be viewed as a success for us".

TRFC fans now have the power.

The fans have the cash and CG wants it in his big hands. Now nothing is at stake, fans should vote with their feet until they get the changes they want. And they shouldn't buy season tickets until everything they want is in place, including getting rid of everybody they don't like. After he has the st money the power is back with CG.

Now sev. co5088 have stated unilaterally that a football club isn't its historical operating company, against historical fact, regulations and proven axiom, Celtic should borrow and spend £180m over the next ten years to win everything. When it comes to paying the bills, liquidate, start a new Plc, new shares and keep everything else. It makes good perfect sense. (Same as sev. co).
This sev. co same club story totally destroys UEFA financial fair play rules and makes a mockery of any sporting integrity left in the game.

As a few of you may know my Sunday Paper of choice is the Sunday Post.

On page 71 today, its the Golden Years where they have a look back at football. Anyway 45 years ago this weekend 'Scottish Football Chiefs were worried that only a total of 36, 837 fans turned out to watch the Scottish Cup Semi-finals at Hampden and Tynecastle'

The games were between Hearts v Morton (Hampden) and St Johnstone v Dunfermline (Tynecastle)

Looks like Scottish football survived this crisis from 45 years ago but some things will just never change!

I think the problem with artur was like lenny he was targeted by the mob for blessing himself had his house attacked etc causing him to go off the rails a bit also worth noting this still the only country were players a not allowed to bless themselves on entering the field of play

Just read on the rangers banter site about some "supporter" saying that their "fans banded together and kept the club afloat!"

Seriously? Why do they think that they saved their club? Is it because the MSM have peddled this nonsense and the knuckle draggers have just lapped it up?
