Any truth in Mark McKenzie Ed? The boy looks a right good CB.

Ed would he qualify for a work permit as we've had our troubles with Perez and Gutman? Does his one international cap make it a lot easier for him to be granted a permit no clue to how all that works really?

{Ed007's Note - I think it would be easier for McKenzie to get a work permit through the exceptional talent route like we did with the likes of Wanyama.}

Ross Tokely was a no nonsense player and a big Hearts fan.
I was in his company many times including on holiday 20 years ago.
Before ICT beat us in the cup in the year 2000,
A couple of the ICT players went to the previous round with us when Celtic played Airdrie. They were big Celtic fans.
It was strange to watch ICT destroy Celtic that night because I had watched those same players in a few games in the lower leagues on my visits to Inverness.

My wife’s best friend was married to a Caley Thistle player but they are no longer together. We would visit them a couple of times a season and I got to see them come through the leagues.

was up at muckrach castle just next to Aviemore steph with few off the family. hired that out for the week came back the smorning was at kingussie yesterday at the highland folk museum then in aviemore at rothiemurcus estate doing the quad bikes. was a good week views are brilliant up there i like the pubs up that way to mate have a good night in them chilled out. did canoeing on loch an elien to on thursday went over to the wee castle in the middle of the loch. love the whiskey up there its proper.

Ed, any idea what a scout looks for in a player? Is there a pre-determined list that a player has to comply to? Sometimes I've heard of two or three scouts from the same club scouting the same player. Would they be looking at different things or would it be a mix of views amounting to a consensus?

{Ed001's Note - it really does depend. Usually you have scouts who are just looking at specific players and putting together an overall report on their strengths and weaknesses. That is just a general first look at players. Then you will have other scouts who will be looking to see if a player has certain attributes that the recruitment team or manager has specified they want in a player. Usually those scouts are looking at players that a data analysis team has suggested could be of use and they are then checking to see if they have certain qualities that can't be judged through data. The reason why 2 or 3 different scouts will go and look is because different people see different things. So you need more than one viewpoint to really get a full picture.}

Probably our strongest 11 at the moment there LL. Ntcham for me over Christie in a middle 3 plus his form over pre season should make him a guaranteed starter for the first game. Hopefully Taylor is 100% fit after that trauma.

Ntcham is not in my best midfield 3 He does not work hard enough that is why no one is bidding for him, Rogic and Ntcham are bit part players and will never hold down a regular spot like Brown or MacGregor. That is why we are looking at Turnbull and other midfielders.

I also prefer Christie over Ntcham because he is more reliable.
But It’s a subject that splits the camp in the Celtic support.

Ntcham is talented but lazy. Christie runs himself into the ground every game. Christie for me every time. Regardless though we have strength on our bench 💪.

I agree with Christie’s work rate, he gives everything . He also had a great return of goals last year, my only argument would be is that he never dominates a game against better opposition. Even when we play sevco he rarely stands out if at all .

Quinn he was outstanding in some of the el games mate it's unfair to say he didn't turn up against sevco none of the players did eddy and cal Mac aside he is arguably our best player the stats speak for themselves.

Ntcham is a must for me. He was one of the reasons we started pulling away after the break last season.

In a midfield three Ntcham has more nouse about him and can use his body to out muscle players, drives into space well and usually picks out the right pass. Christie for me is a little too clumsy in the tackle and less effective there. If we are playing with a CAM I prefer Christie as he's far more productive energetic and creative in terms of goals as a number 10. That's just my opinion and I'm sure people see it differently.

It's the same old story, when the midfield formation, is being discussed, there is one name that is there without any argument and its the one name I would leave out of the midfield.

I agree aindoh love broony but think he should be used sparingly bring him on if we are 2-0 or 1-0 up and we need to defend but I doubt Lennon will drop him but I think this season will be his last.

Aindoh, I am not allowing the radio to decide that Browne shouldn’t play for us, I think we are better with 3 midfielders . To play 3 midfielders we need 4, as we can’t expect 3 to carry the load every match . In that case we don’t need to decide who are our best 3, but hope that N Lennon gets the 3 that are most up for match and going to play best in game.

I would rather he started on Sunday instead of away to Kilmarnock.
He will train with the team and Stevie Woods today and I don’t see there being any issues because he speaks perfect English.
Playing Hamilton at home is a good first game for him and I will be surprised if he doesn’t start on Sunday.
