I'm not worried about a TV show mate . I just found it a bit crass making fun of the man who founded CFC who celebrated 125 yrs of unbroken history while the little unfunny tit gave his own club an easy ride .......DH

The show is dire, It has not been good for years. An abbundance of great material strangly overlooked (wonder why) and the same old characters rolled out every year macca, calderwood, dalgliesh .Watson aint been funny for years, the show died when tony roper left and what the hell has the orange lodge got to do with football .Rubbish like that is one of the reasons why we still have all this sectairian hatred in our country

ed , guys , the local cassanova died , my 2nd cousin . i bought his wee black book in a charity auction , for the hospice. i'm not sh****** any of women { they're out of my league } i'm sh****** a lower class . question is can i claim his history .. shammy

Believable9 Unbelievable11

Good 1 shammy

Agree3 Disagree11

The simple answer is yes Shammy cause you can buy another institutions history. It's not unique to that institution, it can be swapped, bartered traded and sold or given away. Many have been trying to buy Celtic's history for years..... Everybody wants to be the first British club to win the European Cup. Celtic can always sell that history. Rangers history was sold to Charles Green for not much money at all. Cheap history.

Agree5 Disagree6

@ 2 . seriously , what you smokin.. but if your right absolutely f***** excellent .. excellent, when that lottery comes up, i won the battle of bannockburn , acht i think i fancy winning at stirling bridge as well . so i can just take over from bruce and wallace ... you cant buy history .. shammy

Agree5 Disagree9

Wallace was a second generation Norman, youngest son and married to the Norman Sherriff of Ayr's daughter, baron of Crawford. He was a Norman lowlander from south of the Clyde and never wore a kilt, ever. He never met with Robert the Bruce. Wallace fought against an army of Argyllshire and Hebridean Scots (Gaels) who had 600 Gaelic Irishmen totalling 1, 500. {Ed007's Note - Looks like Wallace isn't the only 'Norman' here.}

Agree2 Disagree4

I bought the Roman Empire History.
My brother bought Ancient Egyptian history.
My other brother bought Ancient Greek history.
Sevco bought the Mayans history and died in 2012.

Agree6 Disagree5

Sounds great. but can i buy his history. no i can never be wallace. i am fat bloke that cant fight .shammy {Ed007's Note - Wouldn't you be buying being dead as part of his history? Or maybe he isn't dead, it was the company that owned him that died......

Agree4 Disagree6

@ 4, you made that up. How do you know Wallace never wore a kilt?

Anybody in Scotland who buys the DR is giving their cash to a Rangers media machine, perception peddling nonsense. If you don't support sevco don't support their media. Jabba gone to Mordor as director communications says it all. Fine wines, succulent lamb, dm's lapdog.

Believable13 Unbelievable13

Buying the DR is putting your money into Hately and KJ and Co.s pockets, keeping them in a nice earner.

£49 for a last 16 ticket?
Utter joke in my opinion n just a sheer insult to the fans,
Can't believe thats the price to watch juve have the majority of possession after also taking in of excess of 25m
Sad days

Greenbhoy67

Believable14 Unbelievable10

Or £37 for season ticket holders.

You're such a wee cutie, coming on here to declare its 'sad days' having to pay to watch the glorious Celtic in the last 16 of the worlds most prestigious club competition.

Love your wee dig about possession...bless your wee cotton socks

Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree14

Gotta disagree mate. While i realise that the price does seem steep for many we had a great package price for the group stage. We clearly are losing a lot of match day revenue, for lots of reasons, but think of one thing. If the atmosphere, and result, match the Barca night is it worth it? Having watched Celtic home and abroad for over 40 years that night will stay with me for ever. From the fans display to the singing to Watts goal it was a special Celtic night. On our birthday too! I really do feel for any fan who cant afford it, i really do, but i'm afraid this is the modern game................green jhedi

Agree9 Disagree14

You have a choice mate, you dont have to pay it . i wil consider myself lucky if i can get two tickets .. and that is why they are the price they are . ps i'd pay double that for the last eight .. shammy

Agree9 Disagree13

I know times are tuff but that seems good to me because over here to watch a hockey game it's like 90$ the lowest ticket. They did give the fans a break with the last set of tickets did they not? Cause I remember Celtic coming out and saying they will lower the prices.

Agree3 Disagree11

It's actually £37 for season book holders which in this day is par for the course . Just imagine if Rangers hadn't gone defunct I think we would have been paying near enough that for Ibrox and vice versa . Remember it's a last 16 CL against one of the biggest and best teams in the world and not Ross County or Dundee who no offence to them you would be paying near enough £30........DH

Agree6 Disagree11

@1 Getting mine for £34. Sitting next to the gods with a wee bit of restricted view. Well worth every penny and a great deal for the ST holders.

Bankie Bhoy

Agree5 Disagree12

Stop being a wee blue Grinch sevco boy. This money is happily parted with. It helps buy the next stars. £50 times 60, 000 is £3m but of course there's 15, 000 more expensive seats, match day hospitality, TV rights, merchandise, ..... The memories, especially when it's a clean team no financial doping.

Agree6 Disagree12

The guy complains about ticket prices so he has got to be a rangers fan...

Agree14 Disagree1

Agree with all the replies. I have happily paid £37 for each of mine. Last 16 of the champions league against a european giant. Anything can happen. The £49 won't matter as there will hardly be a ticket left at that price after the season ticket holders all buy theres, exec, and the UEFA dignitaries get theirs. Best atmosphere around on CL nights bar none! If you were actually one of us, you would have been there and had a taste of it and wouldn't be interested in the price. To answer your complaints directly...Im not insulted, only the best team in the world had much more possession than us at CP, Doesn't make a jot of difference how much we have earned up till now, the price reflects the quality of the event your paying into, and..last 16, top of the league, SPL Champions, raking in the dough, young talented team worth tens of millions, oh and we have BIG VIC. OH AY MATE SAD TIMES. I'm gonna drink away my depression tonight!

Agree5 Disagree11

FFS I've never seen so many disagrees in one night ......DH

Agree3 Disagree6

Best team in the world who arent european champions or spanish champions, thats logical

Agree5 Disagree3

@11 I smell a wee sevconian lol, green bhoy, you don't have to go mate, it will be on the telly but what an atmosphere you will miss, stop the fag's and drink for a couple of week's and go and see the Celtic. Oh if you stopped the drink and fag's completly, you might be able to get yourself a season ticket. The last part's are just a bit of kidology mate I know a lot of people can't afford the price of some ticket's but that's what you pay for success.

If there are any Celtic fans left who buy the Ranger i would hope Jackson has now chased them off. His piece in today's paper(?) is nothing short of a flat out attack on our club. To go on and on about the disturbance at Dundee was pathetic and worthy of his mentor Traynor.I was at Dundee and never saw a thing, i was at the front as we had a kid with us, but did hear of some trouble after Dundee fans threw coins. There was also, allegedly, Celtic fans who took offence to IRA chants and were arguing among themselves.I have not seen one picture, still or clip, to show how bad this "riot" was.As they might say in court it's all hearsay.Contrast this to The rangers fans at ibrox. It seems to be the norm, reading other teams tweets, that any dissent regarding the new club is met with a barrage of coin throwing. Then there was the assaulting of Police officers at a home game. And only this weekend we had a banned sectarian song being chanted as they clinched a lucky win against QUEENS PARK!.Any mention from Jackson? It would appear that bullying, intimidation and flat out threats gets you preferential treatment in this country.Shocking!.............green jhedi

Believable12 Unbelievable16

I haven't read it all GJ...i got as far as:-

'Rangers were savaged by a foaming-mouthed pack then ripped limb from limb' (zombie anyone ?)

Now I don't like greed or cheating but if I was David Murray, I would sue for being called that in a national newspaper.

But then David Murray has form for doing this to clubs, it was him that was also first to stick the boot into Airdrie.

On the Dens Park riots, i will reserve judgement until the TV footage has been studied and see how many more arrests are made to add to the shocking total of 5 (FIVE). It was good to see Dundee play on Saturday, fantastic achievement rebuliding their stadium in 3 days. Hats off to them.

My Son's 'ambition' is to see a Boca Juniors game.. now that looks like a riot. Keith Jackson could only dream of reporting on something like that.

Happy New Year to you all & best wishes for 2013 x ~ Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree16

I've Rangers mates who are embarrassed with him and Hately's stuff. Alex Salmond props up the DR and SM with taxpayers money, yours and mine. I'm fiercefully defensive of the freedoms of the press but this self governance model doesn't work. Any Editor who approves such material for printing should be sacked. Imagine if it was pointed at the other lot, and they rioted, it would be universally condemned.
I only occasionally look at the dr and s*n online it cost me nothing and they get nothing. {Ed007's Note - That is not actually correct, even when you read them online they receive money plus it helps them with higher viewing figures to entice advertisers etc.}

Agree3 Disagree15

@ mrs E; I was lucky enough to see a Boca v River Plate game around 8 years ago. It was just stunning. For a 5 pm kick off the ground is full at lunchtime! The noise, flares and banners are incredible.True hatred and very scary.........green jhedi

This is what jabba the hunt did to ingratiate himself with ra people for a couple of months before he left the daly ranger . so maybe he has a job waiting . maybe jabbas arsewipe . and before anybody points it out , i know i got a letter wrong in hutt , i just dont know if it's the n or the h .. shammy

Agree3 Disagree11

GJ it's time to get of that sanctimonious pedestal of yours and grow up. Two wrongs don't make a right yet you try to deny things that were bad enough for Messs Lawwell and Lennon to condemn by trying to deflect onto another club. On the actual football front Rangers scored a late goal against Queens Park but does that make it a lucky result? Maybe you should concern yourself about the team who has won 12 out of 20 league games this season and whether that is acceptable or not. If you want to check out something else why not look at AIM stock exchange and see how many millions more Rangers are valued than the 'Tic.....Blue Wookie

Agree10 Disagree6

Aw Blue Wookie....bless your wee cotton socks too xxx

Celtic got to that position on the stock exchange by paying their creditors and investing wisely.

Not sure how much your new club is worth but its on paper and if anyone (not that they would dare) tries to cash in, the price will plummet.

Never mind, you have a squad will massive sell on value etc I'm sure it'll be fine. ~ Mrs E

Agree8 Disagree9

Gj , i hate to say it but blue wookie is right. there was nothing lucky about it . it is all by design . have you not noticed how their results have improved since they started getting top grade officals. { unheard of in the third division til this season} so gj mind your ps and qs . it's not luck it's cheating just like it was with the dead ancestors .. shammy

To all on this site (especially Mrs. E) - here's hoping you all have a great New Year - all the best to you and your's folks :) Blue Wookie

Agree3 Disagree8

You too Blue Wookie, best wishes.

I'm feeling charitable this year and really do hope you win the league ;-)

Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree3

@ (oh so blue) wookie; What a load of nonsense. If you try and actually read the post i never denied anything.I personally never seen anything, i did counter that with the fact i was at the front.I also stated that i heard of some trouble but nothing to the extent of what was printed in the days after the game.Do you not find it strange that in the Orwellian state we now live in there has been no sign of any pictorial evidence? No CCTV footage? No Police footage, considering they had a large presence filming fans? As for your lucky result, really? Consider the player for player stats, the amount paid in wages. How many international players were in the Queens team? They also had a player sent off when every pundit says it was very harsh and missed a one on one with your goalkeeper minutes before you scored. My point was really, why do you feel the need to sing a sectarian song because of a last minute winner against Queens Park? Is this how you are "making friends" climbing the league pyramid? I also notice you say nothing about the coin throwing incidents at ibrox this season. Bit selective there eh? As for the share prices, what drives a share price? Hmm. As for the twelve out of twenty league wins. Top of the SPL, League cup semi, Scottish cup, i feel i have missed something out here.....Oh that's right CL LAST 16 V JUVENTUS! Just one thought for you to ponder, we have made more money from one cup run than your whole share issue. But good luck v Elgin, Annan, Stirling Albion etc. Laughable post, i look forward to your next ramble............green jhedi

Agree6 Disagree6

Will celtic beat juve or will it be the worst defeat for a Scottish club in the last 16 of the champs league ever, a record already held by celtic, well done boys

Agree4 Disagree2

Utter nonsense. Is your hatred of celtic making you invent stats now? Liverpool v Besiktas is the biggest defeat in the group stage 8-0. Eintracht Frankfurt do hold a quite stunning record though, biggest win over two legs in a semi. They beat a now defunct team, rangers i think they were called, 12-4.I also think Juve beat the same defunct team 8-0 over two legs.........green jhedi

Just read that parasite Keith Jackson's article in the Daily Rangers. What a sad piece of journalism. He dictates that 2012 was a sad year for Scottish football and then goes on to lambast Celtic for the trouble at the Dundee game last week. Thsi just shows you that they are all sitting in the wee corners in the dark waiting to highlight any little bit of bad news about the bhoys. Barely a mention of them going bust, the people left behind, owed a fortune, the national team failure, the "dont bless yourself at Ibrox" story and of couse dont ever mention them all singing their party tune at Hampden on Saturday. I am amazed that this low life can be allowed to write sucha one sided article in a national newspaper. Very lazy journamlismm which is obviously written to appease his puppet master at Ibrox. Actually I wonder if the name Keith Jackson is a pseudonym being used by big JT Its such a bad state of affairs that the newspaper will not allow people to comment on their stories, whats wrong with them, are they too scared the truth will out.

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Scottish football thrived, the league is more competitive than ever, celtic beat barcelona and are in the last sixteen, it was sad if you followed his team who died in 2012

Agree6 Disagree15

Sevco Rangers have more trouble week in week out than the Dens Park game. The party songs (banned sectarian bigotry) are sung every single week.

Agree9 Disagree15

I don't know why people are getting upset about what's written in the daily ranger, it's been happening for year's, it ain't going to change.Im afraid it's the country we live in, get used to it, I have.

this is not a rumour ed but had to highlight the most biased attack on celtic since jim traynor left for the new rangers-keith jackson reviewing the year in the record, rangers going into administration and then liquidation, their fans being arrested and singing "those" songs again just to tell everyone it was the celticfans who caused it all-well according to wee keith

Believable5 Unbelievable14

What about the numerous death threats of Sevco Rangers fans? Particularly of the SFA tribunal as highlighted by the QC on TV and his family being protected 24/7 by anti terrorist officers. What about the numerous other threats arrests and disturbances. What about McCoist insisting on the names of the tribunal, against the rules of the SFA for protection reasons? What about the mendacity and lies of numerous associated with Rangers? Not least of all Pinochio CG? Rangers The worst support in uk, then now for always!

Agree6 Disagree13

31 Dec 2012 12:38:26
just had look on the rankers site and i am very dismayed that no posts on there anywhere showing any sympathy for all the creditors who have lost money through no fault of their own all they talk about is transfers , is it any wonder nobody likes them , all they want to do is blame anyone else they can , even their share issue was a joke as we will all see in the near future

Believable6 Unbelievable12

Well its a brand new club with no history and no debts why should they feel for creditors?

Agree4 Disagree12

276 financial victims of the dark side. To add to all the other victims. To be fair (as we always are) their CG appointed figurehead Chairman apologised months ago. Which of course is an admission of guilt. But you'll never get that from UKs worst supporters.
