The only thing that will stop the 10 will be complacency.
I can’t see Lenny falling into that same trap Walter Mitty did back in ‘98.

Not 100% sure on this but is Lenny's contract not up for renewal next month? When he started last May was he not on a one year contract or does anyone know if it was a rolling one?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2020 13:02:59
Sure it was back to a rolling contract was it not?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2020 18:22:00
The way the rolling contract works is that it just keeps rolling until one side gives the otherside 1 year notice that they are going to terminate the contract.

Left sided centre half sorted. not mekenna!

What about that young lad that played against Hamilton? Welsh was it? He looked good and could see more game time. Frimpong fits nicely into the 352. More than capable of rotation with Forrest.

31 May 2020 04:01:06
Welsh looked really good.
I think he is also right footed.

If there are players leaving while still young enough to further their careers elsewhere, there a fae in the Development Squad and on loan that a decision would need to be made.

Mark Hill, Grant Savoury, Cameron Harper, Paul Kennedy and Stephen Welsh have their contracts ending tomorrow (31st) .

Then there's the like of Daniel Church, Jack Aitchison, Karamoko, Scott Robertson, Liam Burt, Alexander Okoflex all out of contract at the end of next season.

Then there's the like of Robbie Deas and Kundai Benyu.

Some relatively decent names but how many will still be here?

Surely Cameron Harper will get a new contract the few games Iv seen Iv thought he’s been excellent.

Cant see the bhoy welsh being cut because he was put in last season.

Sometimes their future depends on who signed the player to begin with. All too often one managers' opinion and plans differ from their predecessors. Some of the above have been here for a wee while and have not broken through; although there must be some real talent?
In times like this where finances are extremely limited and player movement may still be limited, it would be ideal to find a gem or 2?

I think that’s big Jozo away also.
Similar to Hayes, a one year extension would be no good to him at this stage of his career.
Jozo would be looking for a longer contract but he is too much of a gamble, with him being injury prone for Celtic to offer him a longer contract.
The big man still done a great job for Celtic.
Hopefully when he gets a new club, he can get more game time and stay fit.
Jozo will be remembered as a Treble Treble winner and that tackle. 😂.

That tackle for me just underlines the size of the gap😂😂😂.

The last caller on ssb phone in last night was class. Absolutely destroyed Alex Rae on a number of topics regarding this asterisk carp and his own use of ebt scheme. Was one of the best calls I've heard on ssb.

Wee Voldemort got his arse handed to him . When asked if the EBT titles should have asterisks he said Martin O'Neil said "we won them on the pitch". yet he tried to say the old guy wouldn't answer the question. Auld Frank also asked him about the 596,000 he bumped the taxman out of. Wee smeagol nearly stopped breathing🤣🤣😂.

With the departure of Hayes it looks as if serious changes to the squad are on the way. I only hope it is NL who is getting to choose the replacements. He is on record saying he wanted to keep JH and GG now that these have gone along with released players it should free up some money for quality signings. I am worried that one of the rumours is for a Vukovic from a Belguim club who were relegated and failed to keep aclean sheet all year.

surely no doubt lennon wanted to keep hayes reading his post i think there could have been an offer on the table for another year at least he said sometimes you have to make hard decisions which indicates he was offered.

That's Jonny Hayes off now that his contracts up, sometimes you need players in the squad who aren't the best technically but can do the dirty work and put a shift in when it matters, all the best to him he was supposedly a big influence in the dressing room according to broony and calmac.
Hopefully bolingoli will get his finger out now after being here a year and seeing what it takes every game to stay solid and consistent, definetely think the lad has the talent and just needs some coaching on the defensive side and a confidence boost.

On other news it's looking increasingly more likely that ajer will be off this summer if an offer is made, 18m being the latest number from Leicester but total paper talk imo.

One guy I would love for us to go for if ajer is left is abou cisse of olympiakos, absolute beast at 6ft 6in and an out and out defender, him and jullien would be some partnership.
Arsenal were supposedly after him last summer for 10m but seems to be just a rumour, none the less would love us to push the boat out for him like we did with jullien if ajer does go.

I liked Johnny Hayes👍.

30 May 2020 08:14:57
Hayes had the heart of a lion but unfortunately always looked like an Aberdeen player in a Celtic shirt. As for Bolingoli I think we need to write that off as bad business. Don't think he'll ever come good.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 May 2020 09:36:14
Hayes came in from the cold a few times and done a good job.
He seemed to raise his game in the big matches.
Lenny liked to play him in hard away matches including Europe.
He will be 33 in July and will be looking for one last contract lasting a couple of years.
A one year extension would not have been any good to Johnny.
It is hard for a forward player to keep that momentum up when they are in their 30s
So the fact that Johnny could help the club out at left back was a bonus for both parties.
I wish Johnny all the best for the future.

Wasn't the biggest fan of him playing LB but forgot he had a dislocated shoulder and was strapped up and put the shift in he did against Sevco. Wasn't always the best player but gave his all and always seemed to be the player kicked all over the park. Commendable attitude. With him and Moi off and likely Hickey coming in we definitely need a new LW as Mickey can't be trusted to be first choice with his injuries.
