so should we all abandon our principals to save scottish football, i'd rather keep mine as i'm sure many others would and if that leads to all the doom and gloom thats being predicted then so be it. says a lot about the football authorities when they put money above all else, were they never taught the difference between right and wrong.. the L bhoy..

EDD can you answer this?

If there is no RANGERS? Why is the rangers rumour site still called rangers and not NEWCO or S CLUB 12?

Mr Green Fingers {Ed007's Note - We are keeping it up and running for a while after consulting with The Samaritans. They asked if we could because they have more important cases to deal with.}

p.s. i reckon at least 20% of our support are protestant,i hate even,i dont know the words to express what i mean but in this day and age come on! bri67 {Ed007's Note - My wife has been to a shedload of CFC games all over and has never set foot in Ibrox.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED007 I always used to have a wry smile on my face at Celtic Park when some eejit shouted "come on the Pope's eleven" most Celtic teams have more Protestants these days...Timalloy

Agree2 Disagree0

Well, as Jock Stein used to say, if he looked at two players, one being Catholic and the other being Protestant, and both were of equal ability, but he could only sign one, he would always sign the Protestant.

Because he knew Rangers would never sign the Catholic.

ED007/Bhoys/Ghirls have you seen tweet from Alex Thomson?
"potentially interesting story about C Ogilvie and some very, very key pals"
Oh dear Campbell looks like you have run out of places to hide.... Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I have been saying for over a year about him Tim.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

You get the feeling this could get very messy.This guy should have been on gardening leave the minute this all started,to be a recipient of an EBT should have made that certain.Thomson claimed yesterday that rangers should not have been granted a licence last year. It really is time that UEFA stepped on to this situation as so many people seem to be implicated in so much..........green jhedi

Agree5 Disagree0

Finally someone is going after the man who has been on both sides stoping the spl and Scottish football from being a good fair league. Hope there is a big story because that could mean a clean swip of the corrtupness in the sfa and spl, it about time to get new people in to lead the league to better times

Agree4 Disagree0

Tomos last two blogs are excellent.

Think This Year Will Be All About Ibrahim

Great Site Ed First Time Post

GoldenBhoy {Ed007's Note - Thank you, and welcome to the site. I am expecting big things from Ibrahim as well next season. We could have unearthed another gem there.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I think a lot of us, me included, tend to forget about him because he's not really had a chance yet, and then when he is mentioned it opens up the idea of even more players breaking through next season - Ibrahim, Watt and McGeogh.

And that will be on top of the 3 to 4 players we bring in, and getting rid of the dead wood.

When you look back at Lennons strategy in squad building, it has been absolutely fantastic.

i dont hate potestants,i hate narrow minded bigots of any discription! i like to think our club embraces all religions+backgrounds with an attitude of fairness + tolerance.can anyone on here really say they actually hate protestants? bri67 {Ed007's Note - My Mrs and her family would have something to say about it if I did.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Sum of my best friends r protestants. Giv them a power about the footie but all in good fun. Cant stand the bigots they've no place in football

Agree4 Disagree0

Love football,hate bigots,all the "protesting" going on right now is only to preserve the channel for hatred towards us.when the zombies went into admin their true colours once again showed through.This country will never evolve unless this crap is stamped out.let rangers go to div 3 and give us a break from the scourge of Scottish football and hopefully somewhere along the line
they'll remember fair play to others rather than "beat the Tims at any cost"

Found this on another site WTF

Should Rangers use this opportunity of a fresh start to bring back the 'non-catholic' signing policy?

Personally, i'd rather my team was wholly represented by protestant players.

Zenit St Petersburg don't sign black players and nothing is said while Athletic Bilbao are commended on representing their community by signing basque only players.

Why shouldn't Rangers represent their support by fielding 11 protestant players?

Would doing so be illegal?

Opinions please.

Obviously not you idiot, the mindset of these fools never ceases to amaze me

Bankier Bhoy aka Canadian Pete

Believable5 Unbelievable0

God please let this happen , the best world team of all time would be predominately catholic , pele, maradona, messi, i'll get back with the rest ,suggestions .. shamrock

Agree2 Disagree1

Sad, sad stuff.

The rent a mob that turned up for Brown's rant outside Ibrox were singing "*uck the Pope and the Vatican" during one of their little ditties.

I do hope that Newco come back into Div 3, but when I hear this type of nonsense part of me feels that we would be better of if they ceased to exist.

There is still an element of Scottish society that is anti Catholic and anti Irish and it is a sad fact that they attach themselves to Ibrox.

K-Dot.

Agree6 Disagree0

While i have been surprised at the amount of decent gers fans on these pages,there still exists an anti catholic,anti irish mentality at ibrokes.Although lots of posters on these pages want a fresh start,away from the watp,ulster nonsense i dont know if that is realistic.I feel it has been tolerated for so long that it might never be eradicated.It has to start in the home.Sadly,morons on both sides encourage their kids into this nonsense at a very early age.It breaks my heart to see kids,dressed in orange regalia or attending republican marches,Being indoctrinated into a life where hatred and bigotry is seen as normal............green jhedi

Agree6 Disagree0

Everything is said about Zenit! Well known as the most racist team in Europe and Athletic Bilbao is all about being a community team, if someone of another race or religion was born in the Basque area of Spain they would be signed if good enough

Things looking very worrying for Sevco.

They have now revealled who their bankers are - Metro Bank.

And Sevco have stated they cannot collect season ticket money by direct debit.

Brian Stockbridge Finance Director has stated on Sevco's website:-

"For the sake of clarity and to give reassurance to fans, the Club will not take any direct debit payments for the forthcoming season.

"We are working with our bank, Metro Bank, to ensure those who wanted to pay by instalment are still able to do so. The Club will issue a fuller communication within the next few days to all season ticket holders confirming the ways in which they can pay for their 201213 season tickets."

So Sevco are unable to collect money for season books by direct debit and don't know how fans are going to be bale to pay by installments.

Metro have only 11 branches, all in London. There is no doubt that Sevco have been refused banking facilities by the main banks and Metro either can't (unlikely) or wont allow them to collect by direct debit.

Something is seriously wrong here. Looking forward to finding out what.

Morning ed this is a great site,a lot of these posts in my opinion are spot on.any way I was just thinking I had a season book at parkhead for maybe 10or11years right up to Gordon strachans second season in charge.Then I had to pack it in because we bought a static caravan and I felt I had to go there at the weekends because of all the fees we were shelling out.The season just past I managed to attend six home games in total and being honest apart from the green brigade I didn't find the atmosphere or the buzz anything like what it used to be.Apart from Xmas eve sitting in the stadium half an hour before kick off and the h**s are losing at st mirren and knowing if we beat killie in our game and beat the govan tax dodgers midweek we are top of the tree.My point is I hope they get kicked to div 3 for their years of fraud,cheating and arrogance and in the coming season I will go to any games I can ,and we all go to watch the hoops and not the opposition but as Paul mcstay put it will there be a " buzz about the place" {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate.}

Well bhoys it says big foster has finally decided to stay at paradise, hope it is true but I will wait till Celtic let us know. This is great because he will be a good one and has been improving with us and he is the right man, we will make a good profit on him when clubs come calling. Just need a well known good cb to help out in the back and a striker to go with hooper. Ed any word on the stricken front?
