Right the world's gone mad mitrovic of Newcastle has moved to Fulham for 22 mill rising to 27 mill . so what's eddy and moussa worth.

A helluva lot more Mally. But remember Waghorn is worth almost ten million there. None of our French bhoys or Kt are worth less than 50.

Unfortunately we seem to accept bids considerably lower than true valuation, because the status of our league and football economy is a laughing stock and carries no financial clout or muscle.
It is absolutely galling and atrocious that time and time again we sell CL experienced players for a fraction of what would be paid if we played in that over-hyped, hyper inflated country.
Even when we include a sell-on clause, it is scant consolation.

Any word on this so called deal with Man City for a player they've not even got ED?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - No.}

30 Jul 2018 16:38:01
Cheers ED is the story even true?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yes it's true, Daniel Arzani is due in England sometime this week to finalise his Man City move and if rumours are true PSV have been told that Arzani won't be joining them on loan.}

30 Jul 2018 17:15:59
When BR was asked about him coming in he didn't seem to pleased about this happening?

30 Jul 2018 17:47:09
I don’t think Brendan is to chuffed about how our transfer window has went so far to be honest! Just sense some frustration in his voice when I’ve heard him. well he’s certainly not alone anyway. i wrote on here weeks and weeks ago that patience is needed, but dear god our transfer dealings could test a saints patience! Lol.

Agree0 Disagree1

31 Jul 2018 18:37:09
Lh86, It isn't right that you wrote weeks ago that that patience was needed and now when club has taken a careful studied approach, because of your instruction, you are now changing your position.

So we just spent a fortune on a state of the art surface that looks like a bowling green and someone has decided to let rugby be played on it.
idiotic decision.

{Ed007's Note - The filter changes idiot too I take it lol
Twickenham, the Millennium Stadium in Wales and numerous other rugby grounds have the same Desso pitch that we have, there'll be minimum damage to ours and the money we'll make will far outweigh any costs and the whole summer to do any repairs.
Just imagine if the hotel was built too, while we're at Hampden winning the treble Treble, Celtic Park will be packed to the gunnels with rugby fans spending their money and the hotel would have been fully booked no problem.}

30 Jul 2018 14:36:38
Don't fancy it ed. Really don't. Can mind John Hughes on the war path in an interview after falkirk let it happen at their ground.
Hopefully your right and I am proved wrong though.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's the day of the Scottish Cup final, we won't have any more games to play on it until next year's CL qualifiers so it won't have any effect on the footballing side of things.}

30 Jul 2018 15:36:27
Think pitches have moved on since then some of the grounds in England have super league one week then football the next and still look great
As long as it's not stock cars doing donuts pitch should hold up fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 16:02:59
Hope your right guys. Lot of money and it looks a fantastic surface. Would hate to see it damaged when it's not even football being played.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 16:49:31
So we wouldn’t all be going back to the stadium again for a treble treble party?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It depends what time the rugby's played I suppose.}

30 Jul 2018 18:33:27
Cheers for changing the word back for me ed. People can understand what I am on about best of times so can do with the filters ripping the pish tae.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - :-D

31 Jul 2018 18:40:07
Don't worry bhoys, it will probably be two Irish teams that are in the final and they will go easy on the hallow turf and certainly won't damage the toilets.

I just read that BT have pulled out of the bidding for the NBA and have lost the rights to show Serie A as well.
If our SPFL negotiators are on the ball we should be able to encourage BT to outbid Sly for our tv coverage when this contract runs out next year.
BT may be willing to offer more to cover a big gap in their sports coverage, but our negotiators MUST be on the ball.

Good shout Tim bt coverage of our game far superior to sky they're only interested in epl and honey g now he's up here.

30 Jul 2018 15:42:13
Surely there is an opportunity here to make our league outshine all of the leagues outside the “Big 5”. Personally I love the passion and soul that’s in our game already but if genuine quality players were added to all the teams it would take it to another level. If we got the right deal a stronger Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts would be more appealing than the Dutch or Portuguese leagues in my opinion. BT could do on a lesser scale what Sky did with the EPL; marketing, marketing and more marketing.

30 Jul 2018 18:43:31
Problem is, Amazon, facebooks and other online platforms now want into football and can out bid anyone. It’s going to mean you’ll need about 6 subscriptions to watch footy soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 23:08:13
Edg, M you are living in the past, sure the modern method of viewing means just one small monthly or six monthly subscription and you can virtually watch any sport that is televised anywhere . Ideal for pensioners who can no longer travel far and wide to attend as often as they like .
Of course I wouldn't avail of anything like streaming, but I am told some do.

If we want players from England Brendan needs to get his finger out as the transfer window closes on the 9th August. i fear this window will be poor I hope I am wrong. there seems to be mixed messages coming out about transfers. Hail Hail.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

30 Jul 2018 10:43:26
You do realise we can still buy players from England after their window closes? They window only closes on their club's buying.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 10:49:39
Come off it scoop every man and his dug know teams from outside England can purchase English based players after there window closes.

30 Jul 2018 10:50:17
We can still get players from England until the end of August. Only their window closes on the 9th.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 10:53:52
It's just the English teams that can't bring any New players in after that time but they can still sell players after that.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2018 13:20:14
Guys don't rise to scoop2500.
He's put this crap on about 10 times and been told how the window works each time but then waits a wee while and puts it on again.

30 Jul 2018 13:34:09
Just checked and I apologise to you all. i miss read the article. its completely stupid what they have done. they can't buy but they can sell. so all the crap can be sold at extortionate prices lol.

Not Celtic related, just seen that Zlatan got his first MLS hat trick yesterday. It prompted me to watch a youtube montage of his 20 best goals. That guy is special. End of. HH.

I remember a few years ago he was miffed at not being voted the best Swedish sportsman or woman of all time. He's good, but nothing on the King ;)
