Agree4 Disagree1

Yup green has been sucked in to the knuckle dragging no surrender mentality, so no change of policy down ibrokes way . shamrock

Agree1 Disagree2

K-Dot - you are wrong. Only way there will be more pies is if they pay the outstanding bill for the last ones....lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Just think if in a couple of years time they wanted to get rid off him,can you imagine the payout they would have to pay him?Sally could bring about "The Liquidation 2 - This Time It's Personnel!"

Got to laugh.

Was reading a fairly long post on the Shame's page which was clearly written by a Celtic supporter with the sole intention of winding them up.

As I scrolled down the page and got to the end, I almost fell of my seat laughing. The guy has recorded his name as "Benedict Lawwell".

And he certainly got a good few bites to his post.

Although one post was equally funny, although the poster wasn't meaning to be. He described himself as a "half protestant, half catholic athiest".

K-Dot.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Just seen the post. a good fisherman doesn"t get as many bites. lol.

Come on bhoys and ghirls get out and support our club by buying your
season tickets. Lets prove pundits like Keevins and co wrong. Forget
about Newco. Our main priority is to keep our great club at the top
of Scottish football and hopefully we can go on to better things. KB

I was over at the ticket office today and it was mobbed KB ~ Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree2

Heard Aberdeen have sold all their allocation for Saturday .......DH

Agree3 Disagree2

So was I Mrs E - problem was most people were buying tickets for one-off Helsinki and Aberdeen games.

Agree3 Disagree1

Mrs E it was probably ex bear's like POB coming to join Celtic in our great european journey. Hail hail Timalloy

Agree3 Disagree3

Some were buying season tickets as they had the form to fill in and I was getting impatient..I don't like the waiting game lol.

I knew that POB was there Tim :-) Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree1

Hold on Mrs E.

K-Dot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Buying one-off tickets is'nt a problem these are the people we need to keep coming back. not everybody is fortunate enough to afford season tickets.. i work shifts if i had a season ticket i would miss half the games. so i go when ever work allows. us one offs are important too... shamrock

Agree4 Disagree0

Shamrock. I hear what you are saying. My original post was for people considering whether to buy a season ticket.I know that there are people who due to work etc are not able to attend all games. One off sales are also vital for our club. KB

hi ed just wonderin what you thought of chicos comment that "look at the balance sheets at the end of the season!" sure they can have a half decent balance sheet but celtic can wipe their debt away with selling just one , all be it top player in a window but what can they do & where are they gonna get the money to pay salaries of any decent standard players,if they dont go straight up at end of EVERY season? 1 small blip & thats it as far as I'm concerned,
anyway enough ranting for 1 night hows you ed still limping away mate?
marty bhoy {Ed007's Note - Evening Marty. Green's statements get stranger and stranger every time he opens his mouth. How he plans to have a healthy balance sheet with the overheads involved is anyone's guess. My leg is getting there thanks, slowly but surely but still on crutches.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

They give me the dry boak, Green is having a laugh if he thinks being better off financially is what any fan wants. I for one can say i'd rather be in (manageable) debt and have Kayal, Ledley, Wanyama, Hooper, Forrest in the team. Than be a NewCo with no history and no debt!

We could sell a player and make a few million and bring through a NextGen star! They can sign a Hearts reject or two, and play the one dimensional way Ally knows so well!

I don't know why he keeps going on about Celtic, we are Premier league and well lets just say, him and his team just ain't. Mrs E

Can anyone explain how if Brechin were turned back 300 zombies from the gate because they had tickets for the wrong end can they still report it as the ground being full to capacity? Both reports from the same "newspaper" as well. Surely the capacity was 300 short of being met?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Dont keep callin um surely

Eh! If ALL tickets were sold then what's your point poster? {Ed007's Note - The ground couldn't be full, if 300 people were refused entry.}

Really hope we get our act together and finally sign a big no nonsense CB asap! Plus a new CF too!!
Whilst all this rubbish about big victor is still doing the rounds I cannot believe that this other guy M'vila is rated at £24M whilst vics rated around £10? This is literally taking this Pee!!
This other guy is not half the player big vic is and it really pees me off Vic (mostly due to the fact hes playing in Scotland) FACT! He's seen as the cheaper option!??!? Just shocking! I guarantee that if vic goes to the EPL he'll sign for one of the big four then be rated at 25-30M bet ya anything!!

www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Rangers+-+quotes . after the outburst from green accusing the spl of sectarian bigotry , he should read this page. it is quotes by rangers people or by people about rangers. if the link doesnt work just google . the celticwiki. rangers quotes. shamrock

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I love the fact that Celtic refuse to comment on it, I think we must take that type if thinking thought the whole year and future to come and if any one talks about them to our club then We should kick them out of our media interviews. Because they will be always asking and whatever answer we give will just be turned into something bad. We should not think or have to deal with them, they are so the past now and Celtic is the future and we must think of our club and spl going forward to prove all we don't need them and that the spl will do fine.

Ed do you think the spl/ sfa will charge them with any penalties? Hopefully if they say something stupid and bad for the game like he did which he is just trying to start this whole religion thing and that everyone is against us to rally their support through there main connection of hate, then I hope they get fined because if they get a couple of fines it will be too much for them to pay and they would have to shut up for once or else they will run themselves out of business once again. {Ed007's Note - I think that Charles Green will be asked to explain his comments. All he has done is pander to the lowest level of supporter and their paranoia, remember he needs their money. I'm not 100% convinced that CG actually knows what bigotry is going by his bizarre statement.}

Agree2 Disagree4

Well done for posting thread m8. How they ever survived beggars belief!

Agree2 Disagree4

Love the Brian Clough quote..... a true visionary indeed!

taco

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Green's comments were aimed at the pathological hatred stirred up by Celtic fans - so much so that they threatened every other team in the SPL of boycotting their grounds. Some fans of other clubs jumped on the bandwagon of hate to the detriment of their own clubs' financial well-being. Not saying I agree with him but I think that's what he's putting across. {Ed007's Note - Didn't Rangers fans threaten boycotts as well? A threat that the fans of Sevco seem to have inherited. It still doesn't warrant his accusation of bigotry and I would be interested to know who his accusation was aimed at. }

Last pre-season we had rumours that 'Izzy' was leaving and who knows what might have happened if he never got nobbled at Pittodrie?
This season it's Wanyama, Ki and Brown who, we are led to believe are keenly coveted by other clubs?
We could about manage if one of them left, but if 2 or 3 were to go it would be very difficult and could possibly unsettle a couple of others.
The transfer window in tandem with CL qualifiers is an absolute nightmare scenario and puts a lot of pressure on The Celtic to progress, show intent and maintain as high quality a squad as we possibly can.
I hope the players are totally focussed on playing for the Hoops while this speculation will increase with a little help from the tabloid tadgers.

Ed what would do u think of guidetti from manchester city.Think he would fit the bill for us he is young,tall and a great finisher, he should fit into our team nicely {Ed007's Note - He's a great player but we have no chance of getting him. He has been talking Lazio up in the press as his dream move for a while and it seems they are ready to move for him now. Galatasary are also very keen on him and I would think a few English clubs would love to sign him but City would rather sell abroad.}

really getting sick of this now,still blaming eveyone but themselves. mcoist "badly run for ten months.? try ten years
as for green he may be on to something talking about bigots if anyone should know about bigotry its got to be the
defunct rangers co...col

Believable7 Unbelievable8

I'm getting sick of McCoist demanding everything, he wasn't so demanding when Whyte was in charge. Also i'm disgusted at Charles Green saying his club would be in a better financial standing than Celtic at the end of the season. Yeah thats because RFC went under, and the debts that club owed were swept below the carpet.

DazzaBhoy

Agree6 Disagree7

Aye but is the price Rangers are paying worth it? Having a healthier balance sheet than Celtic won't win them the SPL in twelve months will it?

We'll still have more quality on the park. Plus we own our stadium and training complex....who owns ibrokes?

i am fed up with people coming on this site and saying we should sell this player and that player for we have youngster that will come in and do a job for us

the facts are no team would win a league with only youngsters they need experience and guidance and to put too much pressure on them could ruin them

look at forrest he has came in and done really well but tend to tire after a run of about 7-8 games

Believable0 Unbelievable5

I appreciate what your saying, however we will run away with the league with the current squad.

If we loose a few players then we do have youngsters from the U19 to fill the gaps. Our U19's have recently competed in the NextGen Series, where they beat Man City home and away. They also played Barcelona and Marseille, so the younsters have European experience.

Scotlands Player of the year, and young player of the year came through the ranks at Celtic Park! Did anyone think Mulgrew would be POTY when we signed him? Forrest took YPOTY and to be fair he only played the first half of the season. Fraser came on in a Champions League against Rennes which we won 3-1. He was playing against some quality strikers that night and he kept them at bay. Then we have McGeough.....that goal against Aberdeen! Watt....changed a game that was going nowhere to get Celtic the three points, to continue our winning streak.

I think watching Forrest, Mulgrew, McGeough, Watt, Fraser and Twardzik coming through is what makes Celtic special. Would you rather watch Loovens, Brozek and Rasmussen or the youngsters mentioned previously? I love watching players that play the Celtic way!

hi ed, do you know if they are going ahead with plans to revamp scottish football? a 7 man panel was to be agreed last week and a descision on the way forward by november. I think we really need a 16 team league. but it all seems to have gone quite since gers went into div 3. anyone with an info wud be great. cheers. {Ed007's Note - I've not heard of any planned talks.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed any update on FIFA and thier view on the spl? I mean with what is still going on I would think they would have stepped in by now, since they are still being treated special and that all the investigations still going on. {Ed007's Note - All that UEFA/FIFA say on the matter is that they are monitoring the situation.}

Agree0 Disagree1

They are monitoring the situation because the SPL and the SFA have been absolutely farcical with the way they have handled the Rangers situation. Green is right, this all should have been handled ages ago and I'm quite sure FIFA and UEFA are looking at how it has been handled, in sheer and utter amazement. VHSS
