Lee McCulloch in charge of Kilmarnock in the cup game next week, I think he will realy surprise us by inspiring and motivating Kilmarnock to a cup victory at Ibrox, (but I would not bet on it )

Hi Ed, think it was this time last year we brought in Michael Duffy from Derry and I remember fellow fans (in the know) being really excited about this kid - what's happened? Looked decent in development squad but had a pretty hopeless loan spell. Was this excitement misplaced?

{Ed007's Note - He went out on loan during the summer to Alloa.}

Afternoon Ed, Are you hearing or expecting anyone else in presuming the Roberts deal is done?

Not long left now be great to get Ajer in if there only 300k in it Ed it is not the biggest bridge to barter surely? (y)

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - The Roberts deal is done and dusted. I don't know how far away we are from meeting Start's price for Ajer but remember he's only 17 and CFC are trying to ensure they don't get their pants pulled down over the price. £750k - 800k is a lot of budo for a youngster imo.}

30 Jan 2016 14:22:26
That's true Ed, If you believe the figures we are @ 500k they looking for 800k but there cannot be many 17 year old captains around the football globe mate playing @ that level

A suppose much will depend if they are keeping him or loaning him back till end of the season

For me he is a standout 6ft 5, 17 and a captain and a natural CDM by all accounts very grounded and dedicated a hope we get him in (y)

{Ed007's Note - I'll be surprised if we don't get the deal over the line before Monday.}

Would the wages of roberts not cover the asking price / difference we are negotiating for ajar. I've never seen this boy roberts . but are we not well covered in this area rw/ rmid not even counting nesbitt pushing for a place. ed. do you know if we are doing this devolopment type deal (denyar . roberts) to get first refusal on players man city might release?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Man City have no say on where a released player goes.}

30 Jan 2016 15:19:46
Well a hope your right Ed, Being realistic I would be content with that window

Rid of a right few deadwood in the summer even the out of contracts will do, would love to get our money back for Ciftci and one big splurge for a decent striker to rival/ assist LG (y)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's hard to get players in during the January window so I never really expect us to do much.}

30 Jan 2016 20:35:05
If the centre half we signed last week turns out nearly as good as most posters say and if Patrick Roberts is as good as it appears he is we have already done well.
The problem with both Ajer and Roberts is that we have often had good players at their ages who instead of progressing fell backwards and never fulfilled their ambitions as professional footballers .

This Roberts loan is a great deal, was dead against a 6 month loan which would have been pointless. This, on the other hand is great. I do want to see more of Aiden Nesbitt but think he will have to be eased in (still worried that we might burn Tierney out) . Bringing a but of width and creativity for European tilt and hopefully restoring our profile as a place to make your name. Win win imo.

Hopefully Roberts is as good as we think he is . If so I think he will help to bring the best of our young players to a new higher standard . Nothing should motivate our best youngsters as much as seeing a couple of other players their age playing for the first team . It appears Tierney has rightfully earned his place and with Roberts and possibly Ager also playing we really would have a very young team . RD seems sensible enough not to introduce a young player, for the sake of giving them a runout, but instead picks them on merit.

{Ed007's Note - I chucked the lottery a long time ago, I was getting jack $hit back off it.}

The lottery is just a clever plan on how to tax the poor further. When you look at the odds of winning you see how much of a con it is.

Old system was 14,000,000/ 1 chance. New system is 45,000,000/ 1. While they are low odds, you probably have a better chance of this than with one of Timmaloy's horse tips. :P.
